Stopping OA Output to the HttpServletResponse object
Hi,
We have a 3rd party tool that generates xls files (Excel files) and writes them to the response object, this, of course, causes a pop-up window to appear to the user so they can download said xls. The problem is that when we are done writing the Excel spreadsheet to the response OA goes in and writes the page with current state(typical and expected response to a post-back) to the response as well.
We use the following method to obtain the http response object in the CO:
(HttpServletResponse)pageContext.getRenderingContext().getServletResponse()
The question at hand is this, is there anyway to stop any further output to the response object... to just tell OA just stop everything and return now, or continue but don't write anything else to the response.

Only problem is that when the indicators are updated in SRM, PO Output is getting generated which should not happen.

Just using AE for first time. Need nice smooth cut out of human to composite over BG.
Learned to get my mov in, use the roto brush etc until I see a good clean image in both layer and composition windows.
Go to render and have used both lossless and lossless with alpha, and get full video of original.

PatrickFind the beginning of the part of the clip you want. Put the timeline cursor there. Hit Alt/Opt-[ to set an in point on the layer. Hit the b key to set the beginning of the work area.
Find the end of the part of the clip you want. Put the timeline cursor there. Hit Alt/Opt-] to set an out point on the layer. Hit the n key to set the end of the work area.
Go to Main Menu>Composition>Trim Comp To Work Area. The comp is now as long as the part of the clip that you want.
Add the comp to the Render Queue and render.

I am a little confused here. Am trying to use the HttpServletRequest object in my jsp. I have set up just a simple test page jsp. How can i use the HttpServletRequest object to get some information about the request for example using the method getPathInfo(). I know i can do this in a servlet and pass the value as a parameter in a doGet method. But how do i do it in a jsp. Can it be done..?

I am trying to fix the old source code from our standard web package. The excerpt code below tries to send the cookie.

OWA_UTIL.http_header_close;
It works just fine, except it outputs to the webpage like shown:

How can I stop this output to the webpage? Is there a way?

Yes, you can create users for your workspace and grant these users developer privileges.
I have modified the 'Set Cookie' page process on page 2 as below. The cookie us now being set correctly and you are redirected to page 3 . I guess you need to set a valid value for the 'expires' attribute

I have just upgraded to the latest version of OSX as invited by Apple. Since then iTunes will not play and my volume controls have stopped working - in Preferences the sound controller is not able to find any input or output devices. What is going on?
Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, or by a peripheral device.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode* and log in to the account with the problem. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Shut down your computer, wait 30 seconds, and then hold down the shift key while pressing the power button.
When you see the gray Apple logo, release the shift key.
If you are prompted to log in, type your password, and then hold down the shift key again as you click Log in.
*Note: If FileVault is enabled under OS X 10.7 or later, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t boot in safe mode. Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
There will be no audio output in safe mode. The question to be answered by the test is whether any devices are listed in the Sound preference pane. After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test. -
I have been working with the Sql Server 2008 R2 SSIS Tutorial at

--specifically -- Lesson 1. I have been having some problems with this lesson where the source data from the samples download doesn’t exactly match the data described in the tutorial, and the tables in the tutorial are different from what
is contained in AdventureWorksDW (tutorial refers to DimTime – AdventureWorksDW contains DimDate and no DimTime).
So, after futzing in BI with this tutorial so that I can at least get it to run in Debug – it errors out on the 2<sup>nd</sup> LookUp object.
Rather than looking for a fix to the problem(s) that I am having between the tutorial and the stuff I downloaded in the samples --
I want “Adapt” the tutorial so I can use the stuff I downloaded and hopefully learn how to use SSIS with the elements (source data and tables) that are present on my workstation.
Here is a description of what is going on for me – which I really don’t understand what is going on in BI – based on the images below – like what columns (from what tables) are they associating to in the OleDB Destination?
Note: the sql in the LookUps here is the sql that I copied from the tutorial.
I probably need to modify these sql statements – so -- the help I am requesting is to make the required modifications/changes
so that I can adapt this tutorial with the stuff that’s on my workstation.
I downloaded the samples and the AdventureWorksDW mdf for Sql Server 2008 R2.
It turns out that in the tutorial it wants me to select a DimTime table, but the version of the AdventureWorksDW db does not contain a DimTime table.
Instead, it contains a DimDate table. So I tried adapting DimDate for the tutorial.
Additionally, the sample data file -- SampleCurrencyData.txt -- has slightly different data types than the types described in the tutorial, so I selected data types for the columns in the datasource text file that would work in BI would to
connect column from source data file to the table.
After finishing all the steps for Lesson 1 -- when I tried debugging the package – and it error'd out on the 2<sup>nd</sup> Lookup object whichwent red.
I edited the lookups and the sample Ole DB Destination to "ignore on fail” and I did all
green but the FactCurrencyRate table is not being populated -- as described in the tutorial, so I reset the on error back to default (Fail on error option). And based on this tutorial -- I believe FactCurrencyRate
table is the table which is supposed to be populated with the data from SampleCurrencyData.txt?
In the sample data file that downloaded with all the samples I removed all the data from the text file except for 6 rows, so instead of the original 1100 or so rows, I have only 6 rows of data in the source data file (just to keep things
simple for debugging for now). I did not modify the data itself.
Here is what the (raw) data contained in SampleCurrencyData.txt looks like (from the samples that I downloaded from codeplex) – it’s supposed to be 4 columns of data – float, nvarchar, datetime, float:

Below are images of my BI Layout for Lesson 1 from this tutorial -- the FlatFile and configurations for On Fail Error, A Flow task, the 2 LookUps (CurrencyKey and DataKey), the OleDB Destination configuration, the Design view of the associated tables and
the Debug Run of Lesson 1, and the following error messages. My goal is to figure out what is going on in BI for this tutorial.
Error: 0xC020901E at Extract Sample Currency Data, Lookup Datakey [51]: Row yielded no match during lookup.
Error: 0xC0209029 at Extract Sample Currency Data, Lookup Datakey [51]: SSIS Error Code DTS_E_INDUCEDTRANSFORMFAILUREONERROR.

object of the specified component. There may be error messages posted before this with more information about the failure.
Error: 0xC0047022 at Extract Sample Currency Data, SSIS.Pipeline: SSIS Error Code DTS_E_PROCESSINPUTFAILED.
The ProcessInput method on component "Lookup Datakey" (51) failed with error code 0xC0209029 while processing input "Lookup Input" (52). The identified component returned an error from the ProcessInput method. The error is specific
to the component, but the error is fatal and will cause the Data Flow task to stop running.

Rich PThank you for your reply. I changed the error handling as you suggested on the 2nd lookup to redirect to unmatched rows. Now I get all greet. I don't have the conditional split as in your diagram. But also, nothing appears to have
happened in the DB. Aren't the rows in my text file supposed to be added to the FactCurrencyRate table?

Conditional Split was just dummy task. Ignore it.
Manipulate the data in such way that you get matching records.
Inside Source, for first 2 rows I put the dates which are available in DimDate.

NOOB Q: Does the New-Object -ComObject cmdlet not respect -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue?
I'm trying to test to see if a set of COM interfaces have been registered on the system or not. In my script I'm running the New-Object command to attempt to instantiate a COM object using the ProgID of each of the COM interfaces but I don't want errors
displayed to the screen when one of the ProgIDs isn't registered on the system. The New-Object help says it supports the <CommonParameters> but when I attempt to use "-ErrorAction SilentlyContinue" I still get the errors displayed
in the PoSh session.
I'm running the cmdlet below and getting the error output below that. Is this the correct way to test a set of COM interfaces or is there another option? If this is the correct way, is there a way to run the command such that it doesn't display
an error for the COM interfaces that aren't registered?

How do I synchronize my instruments output at the same time?
Hello:
I am using Labview to control a New Era Pump Systems automatic syringe pump and to record diameter measurements from a LaserMike optical comparator. My program is fully functional, the code is attached with all auxilliary files in the NE-50X folder. I mostly understand my program, I used drivers for the NE-50X pump found on the NI website to build my code and added to it as needed. My program currently does the following:
After I push the white Run button, I am prompted for a file name. After I enter one, Labview begins collecting data from the LaserMike, syringe pump and pressure transducer and outputs them to their respective numerical indicators and waveform charts. Then I can change the syringe pump flow rate and syringe diameter on the front panel. Once I push the green RUN button on the front panel, the syringe pump runs, and the balloon diameter vs. syringe volume XY graph begins to record. I can then reverse the direction of the pump and/or pause the pump however many times I like, while Labview still records diameter from the LaserMike. Pushing the red STOP button on the front panel terminates the program and stops the pump.
Here are three things I would like to change about my program that I don't know how/what to do:
1) I would like to synchronize my machines so that they are outputing at the same rate.
2) I would like to convert my strain output into PSI.
If anyone has ideas about how to do any of these three things, your help is greatly appreciated.

What is considered a special board? I am using a SC-2345 DAQ board. This is where my transducer is hooked into. For my syringe pump and LaserMike I have them being inputed as instruments. When you say millisec resolution does that mean that the data points will be lined up better with one another?
I would like my strain gauge to measure pressure.

I can get both of them to work independantly, but when I put them together to run simultaniousy in parallel, it does not work. My two tasks are simple: 1. Generate a continious pulse train square wave output using one of the counters linked to one of the output channels (PFI7) and 2. Output a 'high' (5V) with one of the other channels (PFI1) when a certain logic condition is met.
When I run my code (attached), the pulse train output works, but the output on the other channel doesn't work when the logic condition is met. I should note that the logic condition is that when RMS current exceeds 3A, I want to output a 'true'. I am measuring current using another analog input card connected to the same chassis and this part is all working well. I think the problem is that there is some sort of interference between the pulse train output which is linked to PFI7 and the other output which is PFI1.
I know there is a limitation with the 9401 card that if the channels are in two groups, 0-3 and 4-7, and you must use a whole group as either all inputs or all outputs, but I don't think this should affect me, as I am using both my channels as outputs anyway, plus I am using channels 1 and 7 anyway.
If anybody has any ideas as to what could be wrong with my code, I would greatly appreciate it.

It is a very bad idea to modify the shipping examples. Like testing bungee cords by juming off a cliff- sometimes you only get to try it once.
Now why on earth did you not add the DI code following the example's method of wiring the error chain and closing the task after the loop? You have duplicated code in both cases of your case structure the only difference.........(wait for it..........) There is a true constant in the true case where the false case contains a false constant. A wait for task complete is unnecessary for a 1 sample DI task- really the write just completes and the task stops all by itself. the only needed thing here is a DI Write 1 Ch 1 Sample no case structure, and wire the compare output to data to write.
You should probably add a control task vi with a "Reserve" input prior to each start task on the CO and AI Tasks and after the Create Task on the DO. Its a bit technical but the result is like taking vitamins- you'll just get better performance.

Error while generating the Business Object in Mobile Sales
Hi,
I made changes to the Business Object BOCAPGEN.
Now I am trying to generate the business object but it is giving out the error saying
Error intializing RT Generator !.RT Generator Failed for ".Error arsrep.dat is in use so Generation cannot be done
I am not a MSA Developer and have no clue regarding MAS(Mobile Application Studio)
So any one can please give me a clue regarding the issue
I have solved it by closng all other application other than client console

1 year later, I am facing the same problem.
I want to build MSA 4.0 SP8, everything runs fines until the end of the generation of the Tiles, the next step fails :

Then around 10 thousands of error messages of that kind follow in the output window ; howeverin the end it says "Generation End" without telling whether it was successful or not (the first time the output window was too small, I thought all was OK )
Anyways, the Mobile Sales icon appeared on the desktop and when I try to launch it I get the error "Starting MobileSalesfailed".
During another attempt, I check with "Unlocker" the 2 arsrep.dat files I found under the BOL directory, it reported that none was used and locked at that moment.
Also I killed the vbagen.exe process before starting the build, but it was automatically launched after. (first build was launched after a reboot, the 2nd after the 1st failed + vbagen.exe process killed)
Does anyone have any clue ?
Another question is : what are the rights required ? I am a local administrator but I do not have full admin rights (the only thing I saw at the moment is I cannot access to Add/Delete Programs in the Control Panel)

Calling Bpel Process From a Jsp(Need a string output instead of XML object)

I am calling a BPEL process(Synchrononus) from a JSP page, Where Bpel process calls a java web service.The output from Bpel process is returned as an XML object. I need the output in a string format.Please let me know the steps to get the string output.
I also executed invokeCreditRatingService.jsp(from samples shipped with SOA Suite) that calls CreditRatingService bpel, but i was getting the following output where the rating value is printed as an XML object.

Vandana.The call payload.get("payload") returns, as you have observed, an XMLElement. You can simply convert the XMLElement into an XML string by using a DOMSerializer implementation. The following code is very useful for this purpose:
