Storedprocedure moving images between tables

I have two tables: Test_Base and Test_Run
When a test is approved i have a stored procedure to move two columns from Test_Run to Test_Base
Column 1: WriteFileLoc (varchar)
Column 2: image (xml file in a byte[])
However, when i execute the following procedure it moves an empty image = 0x
Any ideas to why it moves the varchar but not the image (the image i want to move isn't empty)?
CREATE PROCEDURE dbo.au_InsertFileListXml ( @RunID varchar(50))
AS
DECLARE @BaseID varchar(50)
DECLARE @WriteFileLoc varchar(50)
SELECT @BaseID = Test_ID, @WriteFileLoc = Test_WriteFileLoc FROM Test_Run WHERE Test_Run_ID = @RunID
IF @WriteFileLoc = 'N'
UPDATE Test_Base SET Test_FR_FileList_N = r.Test_FR_FileList_N, Test_WriteFileLoc = @WriteFileLoc FROM Test_Base b,Test_Run r WHERE b.Test_ID = @BaseID;
ELSE IF @WriteFileLoc = 'Y'
UPDATE Test_Base SET Test_FR_FileList_Y = r.Test_FR_FileList_Y, Test_WriteFileLoc = @WriteFileLoc FROM Test_Base b,Test_Run r WHERE b.Test_ID = @BaseID;
GO

Oracle doesn't have a byte[] data type and the procedure code you posted appears to be written in SQL Server's T-SQL. If this is a SQL Server question, you're probably better off finding a forum that deals with SQL Server. Very few of us in these parts use SQL Server with any regularity.

  • Moving images between folders is SLOW

Moving images from one folder to another seems unusually slow, even if the folders are on the same hard drive.
Additionally, the thumbnails stay in the original folder until I restart LR. I vaguely recall something that caused the thumbnails to update very slowly, but right now I find it's quicker to just quit LR and restart it.
Special circumstances that might be contributing to the problem -
    Source Folder -
18 GB of images from a wedding shoot. 6 multi GB cards, each with a few subfolders of their own.
I'm trying to move about 500 images at a time.
    Destination Folders -
Nothing special there other than trying to get the 500 images into them in one move.

    Turn on curmudgeon switch -
No, I won't find it is slow because LR is checking files and making sure all is okay. Other than a slowly moving progress bar, I have no idea what it is doing. There is only a hint of something being checked is that sometimes the progress bar moves slowly for about 1/3 of the length and then relatively quickly the rest of the way, which is when I hear the hard drive becoming more active. (Maybe that's the checking / moving phases.)
    Turn off curmudgeon switch -
Now it makes sense that LR needs to make sure that a file of the same name does not exist in the destination folder. Maybe it needs to check database integrity in some way while moving the files. Maybe the undo-ability of the process causes need for special care.
My guess is that some of the database code for whatever it is doing is written poorly.
And there is still the problem that the thumbnails do not get refreshed. They are still visible in the old folder. How do I work around that?

  • Moving images between folders

Provide an easy way to move an image between Lightroom folders with LR updating the database information on the image location. I have been told you can simply drag and drop but the process is not intuitive and I am cconcerned that I am going to lose an image in the process.

You can simply drag and drop. And Lightroom moves the images on the drive to reflect this. Unless you actually remove or delete the image by hitting delete, it will remain in the Library.

  • Moving images between libraries

In OSX and Lightroom 2, how to I move images between libraries?  I know that probably sounds like a dumb question, but I am a total LR2 newb.  I know I can move an entire library folder into another library folder, but what if I just want to move selected images from one library to another?
    Thanks in advance!

Open a catalog and choose FILE...IMPORT FROM CATALOG. Choose the other catalog and then select the images you want. That will copy them into your catalog. If you don't want them in the second catalog then open that one and delete them. Just choose the remove from catalog option since you want the image source files to remain on your drive for the other catalog to reference.

  • Problem Moving Images Between Folders In Bridge (Windows 7 Professional)

I have just bought a new computer with Windows 7 installed. I now also have Adobe CS5 Design Premium installed.
When I try to MOVE or DRAG and DROP an image from one folder to another using Adobe Bridge I get the following error message:
"The operation cannot be completed because you don't have sufficient permissions"
When I try the same thing in Windows Explorer it tells me that I need Administrator Permission. I click OK and it works in that programme.I am actually the Administrator
Can anybody tell me how I can configure Bridge to undertake this task please.
    Many thanks in anticipation
    Adrian

    Dear friends
To my great relief I have now sorted this issue and offer the following as the Correct Answer. My sincere and grateful thanks go to Curt and Yammer, above, who have helped me so much in sorting this Windows 7 issue which is clearly very relevant to Bridge users also. Any slowness to grasp what they have been saying is down to me!
The key to solving this issue lies is understanding that in terms of Windows 7 Security, every internal or external hard drive, plus folders, sub-folders and files thereon has an OWNER. Also each OWNER has a certain level of PERMISSION to do things such as moving files to a different folder, deleting or re-naming them etc. If you try to do things that you don't currently have Permission to do, that is when you get an ‘Access Denied’ error message. Also your system has an Admistrator or Administrators and at the outset you need to ensure through the Control Panel that you are listed as one of them. .
If, like me, you didn't realise these things, (and why would you if Microsoft or your computer or hard drive suppliers couldn't be bothered to really make sure you knew about them), then trying to fathom the ‘Access Denied’ problem becomes a stressful and frustrating nightmare as I can testify having spent a week at it!
The steps that I took to resolve the issue and which I believe now constitute the 'Correct Answer' are as follows:
First make sure that you have Administrator rights on your system via the Control Panel
Next ‘right click’ on the Drive whose files you want to gain full access to, for example the drive that your pictures are stored on, and click on 'Properties'.
Under the Security tab you will see a list of Groups and Users on this drive and the Permissions that they have to do things.
Before doing anything to edit these Permissions, first click on the Advanced button. This opens another window with a tab showing the Owner of this drive.
Click on the Owner tab and if you are not already listed as the owner, make yourself the owner by selecting your name from the list. I believe it should appear there if you are an admistrator or user. (In my case at this stage the owner was initially shown as an obscure string of numbers and letters which I believe identified the drive when it was connected to the lap top I was using before I upgraded my machine)
Now be sure to check the box that says "Replace Owner on Subcontainers and Objects" and the click Apply. On completion of this step, the drive in question and all the folders, subfolders and files thereon should now be 'owned' by you. You could check this out by right clicking on a particular folder then clicking Properties > Security > Advanced > Owner. Your name should appear. So far so simples!
Now go back to the Security Tab for your drive (Step 2 / 3 above) and look at the Permissions you currently have. Your aim now is to allow yourself 'Full Control.' If you don’t currently have this level of permission click Edit, select your name on the list, check ‘Full Control’ and 'Apply' the change.
I think I'm right in saying that at this point whilst still working in the Drive directory you are now given the option of ticking boxes which allow you to, in effect, cascade the permission you have just granted yourself to all the files and folders on that drive. Tick the box to allow this and Windows should then take care of the rest.If I'm not quite correct here then in my particular case, for example, all my images were stored on my external drive. The top level, or 'parent' folder in which all my pictures could be found was the 'My Pictures' folder and I had created a number of folders and subfolders ('child ' folders) within that folder. The permissions I gave to the Parent folder – My Pictures – were cascaded down through the Child folders.
On completion of the above step I tested the result in Windows Explorer by dragging a few files back and forth between folders and it now worked perfectly - I was now able to move / delete / rename etc all files without now getting the dreaded access denied message. What a sense of relief! This meant that I could now open Bridge normally rather than having to right click it and 'Run As Admistrator' - albeit that is a very useful thing to do until you get the problem sorted as described.
Somebody said to me the other night that when you buy a car you buy it to enjoy the drive, not to have to tinker with the engine. Microsoft and companies that supply and install Windows 7 on new computers please take note!

  • Best practice for moving images between projects?

    Hey all,
I have a project that has an album inside of it. I want to move the album, containing all of the photographs to a new project. If I drag the photos individually to the new project it moves them successfully although they now don't belong to an album in their new project. If I drag the album itself it moves the album and photographs but leaves the photos in the original project as well.
Does anyone have some best practice ideas for this scenario?
Thanks in advance for any help!

As you have discovered if the drop target is the project the images move projects. If the drop target is an album the images show up in the album but do not actually move anywhere. Moving albums does nothing to move masters. So...
Select all of the images in the album. Drag them to the new project and then drag the album to the new project. Simple enough.

  • Moving images between open browsers. Possible?

I would like to copy an image from one open album into another open album. I know I can drag it into the Projects icon. But I want to place it at a specific spot.
It would seem to be a reasonable feature. I can, for example, easily do this in Adobe Bridge with two Bridge windows open. Is it possible in Aperture?

Yes, I agree the LR folder interface is cumbersome. I like to import my photos into temporary directories, work on them for awhile in LR, and then move the final revisions into my existing file directory (for long term storage and easy retrieval) where photos are organized by year, event, people, etc. This is difficult if the existing directories are not already entered into LR, or if I want to create a directory that is a child of a directory that LR does not know about.
At present, I'm moving either moving the photos using Windows Explorer and then instructing LR to perform a synchronize folder operation, or moving the entire directory, renaming it to something suitable, and then performing a synchronize folder.
Time consuming at best. And, to a certain extent, contradicts the idea of LR smoothing my workflow.
The previous posts are right - it is awkward that LR cannot either (1) perform some rudimentary file management tasks, or (2) follow along with operations in Windows Explorer that LR cannot perform itself.
I'm standing by, expecting an upcoming future version to improve on this aspect of LR. In the mean time, I'll be watching this thread for insight.

  • Moving data between tables (how to find out if the 2nd table is empty)

    Hi,
I have 2 tables, and I'm copying records from one table to another.
    I've followed the Wiki: [https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/wiki?path=/display/vc/movingdatabetween+tables]
    So far, everything works ok.
Here is my question: how do I get the number of records passed?
I mean, how do I know the number of rows in the 2nd table? (Remember that this number is variable, because it depends on how many rows I've inserted and deleted on the 2nd table).
I've tried to achieve that using a data store with a numeric field, but I couldn't find the way to increment/decrement the numeric field on data store, and insert/delete the row on table at the same time .
All I want is to find out if the 2nd table is empty or not.
    Any ideas to solve this?
    Thanks in advance!
    Help will be point-rewarded.
    Marcelo

    Hi Ahmed
thanks for your reply, it was very helpful!! (I've assigned points to you)
However the user can add twice or more times the same row... so the counter doesn't reflect the real number of rows in the 2nd table.
I've partially solved this also using a data store with a parameter called key_list, where I add (I mean, concatenate) the key field for the selected row.
So, if I have a table with 4 rows with key fields "key1", "key2", "key3", the parameter key_list would get "key1;key2;key3".
So far, it's ok. But when I remove a row previosly added.... I can't remove the key from the key_list parameter. (I mean, from 2nd table I choose to remove the "key2" row, but I don't know how also remove the key name from the key_list)
    I hope be clearly enough.
Any help will be really appreciated and point-rewarded.
    Thanks again.
    Best Regards
PS: is there any way of "mark" a row that has been added to the 2nd table? I mean, using (for example) a hidden boolean field named "added", that becomes true when the selected row is added to the 2nd table.

  • Moving data between tables

Hi, I have 2 tables: l_eket_obj and itab
    TYPES: BEGIN OF eket_obj,
          werks LIKE ekpo-werks,
          matnr LIKE ekpo-matnr,
          menge TYPE i,

          END OF eket_obj.
DATA: l_eket_obj TYPE eket_obj OCCURS 0 WITH HEADER LINE.

          werks like ekpo-werks,
          matnr LIKE ekpo-matnr,
          zamowione type i,
          END OF itab.
How to move all data from field l_eket_obj-objednane into field itab-zamowione?
    Thanks,
    Joanna

    HEllo
    do like this.
    loop at l_eket_obj .
read table itab with key werks eq l_eket_obj-werks
                                       matnr eq l_eket_obj-matnr.
    if sy-subrc =  0.
    itab-zamowione = l_eket_obj-objednane.
modify itab transporting zamowione where werks eq l_eket_obj-werks
                                       matnr eq l_eket_obj-matnr.
    endif.
    endloop.
    Hope this solve ur problem.

  • Image size changes when moving an image between Lightroom and CC.

Image size changes when moving an image between Lightroom and CC.
I opened a .dng image in LR and then opened it in the Develop module.  I clicked on Crop Overlay and then on the ‘As Shot’ drop down menu (the lock is closed) and cropped to 11 x 17 and clicked ‘Done’-.
I click Cntl-E and the image opens in CC.  There I click on Image > Image Size and the Image Size  is 13.288 inches by 20.533 inches.
Why does the image size change?
I believe there is a menu to control the size of the image and I've looked everywhere I can think of in LR and CC, I googled various descriptions and I checked two of Scott Kelby's books, but I just can't figure out how to keep the image a consistent size when moving between LR and CC.
    Help!...Please?

The penny will drop soon or maybe the cloud will lift.
In Lightroom all editing is undoable/nondestructive.
Hence a crop of 3x2 is not inches, centimetres, pixels or anything else. It is jst a ratio. When a file is exported, either to PS or disk, then the crop ratio has size determined in respect of pixels and inches or cms.
So my 6000x5000 pixel image I will crop to 3x2 that leaves (before exporting) a 6000x4000 file.
Now when exported it can be set to export at
100pixels per inch and will end up at 60x40" when printed.
200pixels per inch will end up at 30x20"
    300ppi will end at 20x13.3"
You will notice in the Crop Tool there are no size denominations such as inches or centimetres as an image file only has pixels and the determination of size is done through exporting or printing.
    Hope that helps somewhat..

  • Moving images from Lightroom to Photoshop 2014 CC – Color Problems?

For some reason, whenever I select "Edit in Photoshop 2014 CC", the image color is not only extremely different from what's displayed in Lightroom, it's dark and dull. However, if I export the image as a .jpg and then import it into Photoshop 2014 CC the color looks the same as what's displayed in Lightroom and this is with NO color correction.
Why is this happening and how should I be moving files between the two apps? BTW, I shot the images with a Canon T3i that saves the image as a CR2 and JPG.
    Thanks!

I'm running Lightroom and Photoshop CS3. "Edit image in Photoshop CS3" works fine for me. I'm on an iMac and had Lightroom installed first, only thing I noticed is it takes PS a little longer to open up.

  • Space between tables in dreamweaver

Cellpad = 0, Cellspace = 0 and Border = 0 but there is still a space between tables. I checked in explorer and chrome, same thing. Suggestions?

This is not a DW or even a table problem - it's a 'you' problem! ;-)
What you are seeing is the space that is reserved below inline elements to accommodate text descenders. Make that image have the CSS style of "display:block" and you will see the gap vanish.

  • Find relation between tables

    Hi experts,
How can I find the relation between tables? I mean, I can go to se 11 and compare each field of 2 tables manually, but it's very time consuming. Is there any possibilty to compare tables and find all the fields that can be found in both table?

Go to SQVI transaction... Create a qucik view.. ztest.. give desc..etc
Select data source as table join.... enter
now one screen will come with blank data (blue scrren)
in that application toolbar second button .. click that.. enter VBAK..
click that again.. enter VBAP.. now an image will come with links b/w vbak and vbap.. you can use any no. of tables there....

  • Videos-Sound plays, Moving image does not.

All of the videos I have from bonus albums won't play the actual video. I get sound and a static image. Files are linked. They're in my iTunes folder. Is this a bug with the upgrade? Do I need to change a setting? They show up in my library but don't show up in the Movies library tab either.

Usually when moving layers between images, one would use the move tool
(click on the image in the document window and drag to the other document)
and hold the shift key down if you want the layer pin registered (aligned and
the images are of the same dimensions) and if the images are of different
dimensions, holding down the shift key centers the new layer.
