Strange behavior in jdev JBO 25002 jbo defination not found

Hi Experts,
I am using jdeveloper 11.1.1.5.i am facing strange experience.
let me put here
1)i have one application in which i have dto class(ProductDTO)
2)in ADF model project(TestModel),i have TestDelegate java class where i use ProductDTO
lets say
class TestDelegate {
ArrayList<ProductDTO> listOfProducts=
TetsDelegate(){
listOfProducts=new ArrayList<ProductDTO>
//i populated arraylist of productDTO
//and setter getter for listOFProduct
3)created a datacontrol over it
4)i dragged listOfproduct from the data control to ADFView Project(Note there is no dependency of model,we have added Model.jsr in classpath to view Control)
5)ViewControler is deployed as jar
6)now we have Portal application where i use above jsff fragment
now every thing is working in mylocal copy
i comited to SVN.
now i chekcout from the SVN ,now i am getting JBO25002 no definition found for productDTO
after going though the documentation and forums
i did clean build, added model as dependency to viewcontrol
above two option didnt work
I did as mentioned in DataControl not found
now its working .i comited my code to SVN.
and i took fresh checkout.again i am getting same error.all files are sync with SVN
every time i need to recreate datacontrol and dabindings.cpx file.
i donot understand what is happening here...why it starange behavior?
am i missing any file while chekin to SVN?(but there are no files modified in my local expect adf libarrary dependency)
Can some one help me out on this?
Thanks in advance

Thanks Timo, U saved my day :)
root cause:since productDelegate has ProductDTO .
when i create the datacontrol over productDelegate it has generated two xml files
1)productdelgate.xml
2)ProductDTO.xml file
in adfm src productdelegate.xml file has been committed but productDTO.xml file has not been committed as SVN shows the green icon even if u added new files to working copy.
by looking at the green icon on folder i thought that all the files are in SVN
as timo suggested i compared two copies working copy and svn copy
beyond-compare shows that productdto.xml file is not adfmsrc of svn copy
now i committed that file and took latest checkout
now its working
thanks Timo and Sri for helping me

  • JBO-25002: Definition  ApplicationModule not found

    Hi
We are adding changing a text into LOV, we have created custom view object and custom AM. Every thing working fine on local Jdev but when copied to server we are getting
JBO-25002: Definition xxx.oracle.apps.xxort.oie.server.xxxExpenseCustomAM ApplicationModule not found error.
We have copied all java files, xml files to the server.
The lov is showing up on the page but selected the dropdown box we are getting above error.
    Any ideas why?

  • Getting a oracle.jbo.NoDefException: JBO-25002:Entity Association not found

On using VO.createRow I get an exception that say
Caused by: oracle.jbo.NoDefException: JBO-25002: Definition <Association package> of type Entity Association is not found.
The Exception logs shows that the error is created in a EO which does not have any direct connection with the Association in question
so the create method is fired in Entity1 but this error comes for an association between Entity2 and Entity3. There is however an association between Entity1 and Entity2.
Entity1 and Entity2 are in the same project as the assoc between E2 and E3
E3 is in another project, but I have tried refreshing the library dependencies and clean all + rebuild.

Refer JBO-25002: Definition {1} of type {0} is not found.

  • Oracle.jbo.NoDefException: JBO-35011: Attribute: x not found for value binding: y

    Hi every one,
I migrate a project in version 11.1.1.6.0  of jDeveloper to 11.1.1.7.0 and after deploy, the application throws the exception "oracle.jbo.NoDefException: JBO-35011: Attribute: x not found for value binding: y". Rarely in the web or forum, i can't find anything about the code error JBO-35011.
    Someone knows something about this?
    Regards!

Don't know much about this error but it looks like you have an attribute binding which isn't connected to an vo attribute.  Check all bindings pigthe page and pagedef if the are correctly setup. If you access attribute bindings from a bean you have to check them too.

  • JBO-25077: Name Region not found in the given object

I'm linking my main View Object to a secondary View Object using a View Link. Then in a View Criteria, I use an EXISTS statement to add a field from the secondary View Object. I make that field be a LOV dependent on another data source. When I choose an option from the dropdown list in the resulting <af:query>, it returns an error.
Below, ELEMENT is the name of that field in the secondary View Object. Product is the variable name. Region is a field in the main View Object.
(Note: When that field is not a LOV, it works fine.)
    oracle.jbo.expr.JIEvalException: JBO-25077: Name Region not found in the given object: ( (ELEMENT = :Product ) ) .
         at oracle.jbo.common.JboBeanUtils.getProperty(JboBeanUtils.java:85)
         at oracle.jbo.common.JboBeanUtils.getPropertyInMapOrBean(JboBeanUtils.java:235)
         at oracle.jbo.ExprEval.getRowVal(ExprEval.java:1367)
         at oracle.jbo.ViewCriteriaRow.getExprVarVal(ViewCriteriaRow.java:1822)
    I'm using JDeveloper 11.1.2.2.0

    I have additional information.
The field Region in the primary View Object has another field dependent on it. It seems like when the field Element in the secondary View Object is changed, the dependent field tries to look for "Region" in the secondary View Object (which I don't understand why it would), but can't find it, so returns the error.
Hope this might be a clue to figuring out why the error happens.

  • JBO-25003 View Object Not Found

    Hi,
I am facing a very strange issue. I have a VO defined in my application. I have 2 projects in my application. When i drag and drop one of the fields from this VO on to the pages in these projects, i dont see any issue in one of the projects. However, when i do the same on the other page, i am getting JBO-25003 error.
When i delete this second project and rebuild from scratch and then drag and drop the VO, it is working fine. I cannot do this because i have lot of validations already built on this page.
somehow the VO is not recognized on the second page and i dont see any issue with the way i am dropping the VO because when i rebuild the project freshly, its workign fine.
    Please help at the earliest.
    Thanks,
    Lakshmi.

    Hello,
We are facing the exact same issue. We're using JDev 11.1.1.5.0. We can reproduce it:
    - Create an Entity based on a table, accept all defaults
    - Create a View based on that entity, select all attributes, accept all defaults
    - Add View to Application Module
    - Create a new page
    - Drag and drop newly created View Instance to the page
    - Run the page
In JDev, everything works as expected: BC Tester runs perfectly, page shows table with correct columns, page definition is linked correctly, View Instance is linked correctly... Yet when we run the page, we get a "oracle.jbo.NoObjException: JBO-25003: Object NewTestVO of type View Object is not found." error.
This is pretty annoying as we can't start from scratch and we have no idea what is causing this error.
    Any help is appreciated!
    Stijn.

  • HELP!: JBO-33001 bc4j.xcfg not found against oc4j 9.0.3

    I'm using JDev 9.0.2.
Make BC4J project and BC4J JSP application.
Then I deployed to remote OC4J server.
BC4J JSP works on remote OC4J 9.0.2 but fails on remote OC4J 9.0.3
    by JBO-33001. Why??
Of course, I set up the BC4J runtime on both version of OC4J, so
I believe the same configuration has done for both OC4J server.
Does anyone can deploy and execute 9.0.2's BC4J app on OC4J 9.0.3???

I have found the solution...that worked for me anyway.
    When configuring a stand-alone OC4J 9.0.3 to work with BC4J (using %JDEV_HOME%\BC4J\bin\bc4j2oc4j.bat), JDEV_HOME must be pointing to a JDeveloper 9.0.3 installation.
Before doing this however, I undid some of my earlier work:
    - undeployed the apps I deployed to the stand-alone OC4J
    - pointed JDEV_HOME to my 9.0.2 installation and ran: %JDEV_HOME%\BC4J\bin\bc4j2oc4j delete
Now you can properly configure OC4J 9.0.3 by:
    - point JDEV_HOME to a 9.0.3 install (simply unzip it somewhere)
    - run: %JDEV_HOME%\BC4J\bin\bc4j2oc4j install
After that, deployments of BC4J JSP pages (to my newly reconfigured stand-alone OC4J 9.0.3) ran and connected to my application module just fine, even though I developed and deployed them using JDEV 9.0.2
I wish there had been a new set of instructions put out for configuring OC4J 9.0.3.

  • Error JBO-26001: XML File not found for the Container FinancingBillUI.cpx

project 1 : application with login dialog
    project 2 : bc4j
    project 3 : user interface
    All source file compile sucessfully
    What the problem ?

    Michel:
Could you post the complete stack trace? From the Subject line, it sounds like your app is not able to locate an XML file (which could mean a problem in CLASSPATH), but a stack trace will help. In fact, turn on diagnostics and post the diag output around the error. Here is an instruction on how to turn on diagnostic:
    1. Select the project.
    2. Do right mouse click and select "Project Settings..."
    3. On the Settings dialog, select Configurations/Runner.
    4. In the righthand side pane, you should see a textbox for "Java
Options". Please add the following JVM switch:
    -Djbo.debugoutput=console
Then, rerun. The run command should include
    -Djbo.debugoutput=console as in
    "D:\JDev9i\jdk\bin\javaw.exe" -Djbo.debugoutput=console -classpath ...
You should now see a lot more output on the IDE's message window.
    Thanks.

  • Strange behavior at secured pages

Hi, I encounter a strange behavior at jdev 11
I have a page A that has a command button that navigates from that page to page B. It's action value is a control flow
that has from activity:A toActivity:B at the adfc-config.xml.
That worked fine until I secured page A, after this, pushing command button resulted to nothing (no navigation, no error)
If i change the control flows fromActivity from A to * then it works OK again.
so it seems that when the page is secured only global navigation rules are working.
Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

  • Configuration file not found jbo-33005

I am stumped, I have an application created in JDeveloper and using jakarta-struts. When I try to update the database, I get the following error: JboException: JBO-29000: unexpected exception caught: ...JBO-33005: Configuration ApplicationModuleLocal not found.
The JBO-33005 documentation says: This exception is thrown when the named Configuration is not found in the bc4j.xcfg file.
Action: Make sure the name of the configuration is correct.
I have doubled checked and the name is correct, the bc4j file is in the class path, etc.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to correct this error?
    Thank you in advance.

  • JDEV Team: Strange behavior in TOMCAT using DATATAGS (VERY CRITICAL)

I am encountering some strange behavior when I deploy my application to TOMCAT.
If I run in JDeveloper (webtogo) everything works fine but the behavior changes completely in TOMCAT.
Let me try and explain my situation here.
    I have 3 jsps :
1.iss_listApps.jsp which is used to browse all the available records, allows the user to navigate to a specific record and edit or delete.
    2. app_edit.jsp which is used to edit/delete a specific row passed from iss_listApps.jsp.
    3. app_edit_post.jsp which is used to save the changes.
Note that I use an anchor ">Edit</a> to pass a row from the browser page to the edit page.
For your convenience I have listed all the source files below.
    Now here are my problems:
Problem 1. If I run it in JDeveloper, I am able to browse the records and go to a specific record to edit and delete by clicking on the "Edit" anchor provided in the browser page.
I can also go to the edit page and backout out of it by not saving the changes. In that case I am back in my browser page and I can again click on the "Edit" anchor to a specific record.
However if I am in TOMCAT, I am able to browse and go to a specific record so long as I make changes to it and save it. If for any reason, I do not save a record and I go back to my browser
page then any subsequent calls to to edit a specific record goes to the same OLD RECORD that I did not save.
I fail to understand why? Maybe the "webtogo" server automatically refreshes when I click on the "back tab". If so, how do I automatically refresh a jsp page when I click on the "back tab" in TOMCAT.
I would sincerely appreciate any help on this.
Problem 2. I have an include jsp tag in my browser page. defined as
    <jsp:include page="Message.jsp" flush="true">
    <jsp:param name="colspan" value="2"/>
    </jsp:include>.
This section of the code is currently commented out because if I uncomment it then it runs ok in JDeveloper but in Tomcat it causes the browser page to always navigate to the first record if I want to edit a specific record.
I would sincerely appreciate any answer on this.
    Here are my source files:
    1. iss_ListApps.jsp (browser page). Please see how the anchor is formed. It causes no problems
    in JDeveloper.

I would not expect the 'back' button to automatically refresh the page. This button basically traverses the history of pages. Since Tomcat is caching your pages, you can try to control it's interaction with the browser by:
    1. Adding cache control pragmas to the returned content so it doesn't get cached.(look at www.w3c.org at the HTTP spec)
    2. dont rely on the back button, place a link on your pages to go back to the list page.
    3. change your cache control settings in your browser to check for a new page every time a url is visited.
