Strange DW Behaviour with local file includes

Can anyone please help?!?
I've been using DW for many years, and we've just moved over
local files to a new server. Unfortunately, during this copy, some
of the files have started behaving very strangely...the virtual
includes are no longer showing in the WSIWIG display. There's
nothing wrong with the files - if I upload them to the web server,
they work.
Here's the example:
1) I set up a new web site in DW. I don't specify a remote
site at this stage.
2) I copy in 2 of the "problem files" into the local
directory, page1.asp and includefile.asp
3) Page1.asp looks like this:
<%@LANGUAGE="VBSCRIPT" CODEPAGE="1252"%>
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0
Transitional//EN" "
http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<html xmlns="
http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html;
charset=iso-8859-1" />
<title>Untitled Document</title>
</head>
<body><!--#include virtual="/includefile.asp"-->
</body>
</html>
This page does not display the includefile in the design view
as it should.
If I go to "new web page" and copy and paste the exact code
into the new page, it works fine and displays the include file.
Both files are in the same directory.
If I strip both newpage.asp and page1.asp down to just
"<!--#include virtual="/includefile.asp"-->", one works and
one doesn't!!
This led me to believe it was some sort of permissions
problem from transferring the files and folders around, but if you
look at newpage.asp and page1.asp, they have exactly the same
permissions.
It's driving me mad - we have a load of web sites behaving
like this, so I can't just create a new page for every page and
copy in the code!
Is there some strange hidden permissions I'm not aware of?
Thanks!!!

  • Strange stack behaviour with referenced files

I have just started to notice peculiar behaviour with referenced images within stacks. I have been reviewing last years pictures with a view to clearing out the junk. What I have found is rather alarming in that on clicking a stack to open it all the images within the stack were the wrong pictures, wrong as in taken with a different camera in a different year. The top picture does not seem to be affected. On attempting to find the correct files using 'manage referenced files' all the wrong images are shown as found in the list view with their own file names at the same time the thumbnails (top right hand pane) show the original correct file names but with the wrong thumbnails,Aperture does not realise that it is referencing the wrong files and so will not let me reconnect to the correct files.
Anyone with a similar problem or a cure for this behaviour?

Ok I have deleted and rebuilt thumbnails files to no avail.
What appears to be happening is that aperture is using the wrong file-path for the affected pictures.
    I keep all pictures arranged by date order so for example where the correct file path for an image would be;
    Raid Zero/Pictures/2006/0609/060928/pict3722
Aperture is giving a file path of
    Picture Library/2007/0712/071223/_DCS1023
in the manage referenced files pane it shows the wrong path as above, the thumbnail picture is of the wrong file but the thumbnail name and date is correct.
Interestingly since rebuilding the thumbs it is now possible to reconnect to the correct original file whereas before the reconnect option was not available, however it is only possible to do this one file at a time, the re-connect all function does not work presumably because Aperture is not aware that its filepath is wrong.
Oh dear.... Aperture has just crashed, this immediately after reconnecting 6 files and waiting for the files to update to the correct image in viewer mode.
    GRRRRRRRRR!

  • Strange repaint behaviour with JList & Keyboard actions

    Hi everyone,
This is my first post to the forum. You guys have been a great help in the past and I hope to contribute more in the future.
Anyways, I've encountered some strange repainting behaviour with a JDialog that uses a JList and a JButton. The dialog is fairly straight-forward and basically this is how it works (like an open file dialog - yes I'm implementing my own filechooser of sorts):
    * JList lists a number of simple items that the user can select from.
    * Once a selection is made, an Open button (JButton) is enabled.
    * <ENTER> key is registered (using registerKeyboardAction()) with a JPanel which is used as the main content pane in the dialog.
    * The user can either click on the Open Button or hit the <ENTER> key which then closes the dialog and runs whatever logic that needs to.
Now, the repaint problem comes in when:
    1. User selects an item.
    2. User hits the <ENTER> button
    3. Dialog closes
    4. User brings the dialog back up. This entails reloading the list by removing all elements from the list and adding new ones back in.
    5. Now... if the user uses the mouse to select an item lower in the list than what was done in step #1, the selection is made, but the JList doesn't repaint to show that the new selection was made.
I didn't include a code sample because the dialog setup is totally straight-forward and I'm not doing anything trick (I've been doing this kind of thing for years now).
If I remove the key registration for the <ENTER> key from the dialog, this problem NEVER happens. Has anyone seen anything like this? It's a minor problem since my workaround is to use a ListSelectionListener which manually calls repaint() on the JList inside the valueChanged() method.
    Just curious,
    Huy

Oh, my bad. I'm actually using a JToggleButton and not a JButton, so the getRootPane().setDefaultButton() doesn't apply because it only takes JButton as an input param. I wonder why it wasn't implemented to take AbstractButton. hmmm.

  • Working with local files at c:\temp ...

    Hi!
My report is working with local files (this is a must). I know that i can't use such a report in a planned job in the background. Are there nevertheless any options for me starting this report regularly in an automatic way? ...Perhaps on a pc which is always logged/switched on?
    Thanks in advance!
    Best regards,
    Ingo

    Hi,
why didn't you check the sy-batch (test if it's a background job) ?
use the DIR_TEMP of the SAP server when it's a background job.
to get the physical directory you could use this kernel function :
CALL 'C_SAPGPARAM' ID 'NAME'  FIELD 'DIR_TEMP'
                         ID 'VALUE' FIELD searchpoints-dirname.
    (dirname is a CHAR 75)

    Hi Guys,
Im trying to create a repository .I have a single node OVM server and have presented two LUN's (Hitachi  HUS110 direct attached (via FC))
I've created a server pool and unchecked the clustered server pool. I see the LUN's (physical disk from Oracle Virtual manager) .But when creating the repository i'm having this error
"OVMRU_002030E Cannot create OCFS2 file system with local file server: Local FS OVMSRVR. Its server is not in a cluster. [Thu Dec 04 01:33:10 EST 2014]"

    Hi Robert,
did you actually add the OVS to the server pool, that you created?

  • View Master mode strange behaviour with jpg files

    Hy all,
I'm using Aperture, and I'm tweakin a lot the SW to discover all secrets ....
I'm really concerned about a strange behaviour of the SW in view mode.
If I open a jpg file, do not apply ANY modification, and apply the "show master" command (pressing M), there's a subtle behaviour :
    *the images get sharper !!!!*
It behaves as if an "edge sharpening" was applied !!!!!!
With _RAW files this thing doesn't happen at all._
Even stranger, if I zoom to full definition (by pressing Z), and toggle between normal view and "show master" view, the immage remains the same !
The effect is not so evident with all images, but sometimes it is !!
Anyway, I expect not to have such kind of things with a professional SW.
With professional cameras and good quality files it's really annoying not to beeing sure what's the REAL content of the jpg image.
Has anyone noted this thing ? Is there a reasonable explanation ?
The only one I tried to figure out is the following : may be Aperture applies some kind of resampling algorithm with jpg files (bicubic, bilinear, etc).
May be this resampling is not applied with 100% magnification, as weel as with raw files.
But it's only my guessing. Now, I'm tweaking other viewers and other SW to understand what's the real jpg image stored in the file : the blurer one form normal view or the sharper one with "show master" mode.
I stress once again : of course, the jpg file I'm talking about have no settings at all, just imported and toggled with M button.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Enzo

    Hy,
I'm afraid I'm not been clear.
    The problem is this :
    1) jpg image opened in normal view mode, no zoom, (no quick preview, of course) : image with a certain amount of blour
    2) jpg image opened in show master mode, no zoom, (no quick previre, of course) : image SHARPER with respect with the previous.
No edit applied from import, so "show master" command shouln't apply any change in rendering, should it ?
The only thing I said on 100% view is that such difference (between normal mode e show mastermode) is not present with 100% magnification.
    That was the issue.

  • Strange problem with local files

I'm having some experiences with my DW CS3 local
files that aren't serious ... although annoying. Perhaps there is
something I'm not seeing. One is that the local files are now
appearing randomly (not by naming convention as they should). I
can't figure out how they are sorting ... if they are at all.
Refresh doesn't fix it. The other is that when I open a sub-folder,
it opens ... but so do other sub-folders in the site at the same
time. Any clues or fixes would be appreciated. DW CS3 on my laptop
works fine ... perhaps I inadvertently changed some setting
    somewhere on my desktop? Thanks!

Expand Files panel. Click on a header for the file list. The
    files will
    sort by that header.

  • BrowserLab won't work with local files in DW CS5

Any issue report you make about BrowserLab on these forums should minimally contain the following information. If it doesn't, the first response you get from us will likely just ask for the missing info anyway
    Subject
A descriptive summary of the issue.
    The body should contain:
    Problem Description
A brief description of the bug or issue
    Steps to Recreate
The steps we should follow to reproduce your issue. Minimally include all the following:
Does the issue happen every time, is it sporadic, or did it only happen once.
Are you testing on Mac or Windows?
Are you using the main BrowserLab interface, testing via Dreamweaver integration (and if so, what version of DW), or using the BrowserLab for Firebug add-on?
What is the URL you're testing against. If it's not public, let us know and let us know if you can send us the page source.
    Expected Results
Based on the steps you described, what you thought should happen
    Actual Results
    What actually did happen
    Thanks everyone,
    Mark
Using BrowserLab in DW 11.0 Build 4964, BrowserLab can't seem to work. Some not very intuitive places I have checked include making sure the signon credentials are in the CSLive window in DW.
In preview local/browser, the following messages are disappointing me:
Timed Out, Failed to Authenticate with Browserlab
    Session Expired, See Browser
It is on a Mac, 10.6.7, using DW integrated testing. I can log into browserlab and put a public URL, but I don't think that's going to be much better for me than having VMWare and installing free browsers on Mac and Windows, and given the failures here that would be better for local file checks too. I write this because I wonder if I will be disappointed trying to get this to work and then find out I have to pay a yearly subscription to CSLive to be able to keep using it.
This is on a private URL and I can send the page source, but I don't think its the page that is causing the issue.
    Expected results:
Able to preview page in any browser of my choosing
    Actual results:
Spent the last two hours navigating help, googling possible solutions, getting many errors trying to navigate the Adobe help and forums, continually signing in on each adobe page I open. Expecting to have to reauthenticate to post this message. (Updated extension manager as well).

    Hi,
First, there is no charge currently for using CSLive and there won't be any charge for another year.
Second, based on what you're saying about the behavior you're seeing with BrowserLab and the issues you had with continually having to sign onto the Adobe pages, it's a strong indication that you've got cookies disabled in your browser or that something on your machine is deleting/expiring the cookies we are trying to set. What browser/version are you using and what kinds of permissions have you got set for cookies in that browser? Can you check that and change your cookie permissions for Adobe.com at least?
Let me know if that helps or not,
    Mark

  • Problem with Local File Identification in RFC

    Dear all,
We are working on a scenario where we have to integrate an external application with SAP system. The external application would use SAP DMS as document repository; It will send us a local file path and we have to upload the document located in that path as an attachment to a DMS Document Info Record. We have designed a wrapper RFC for this purpose, which encapsulates the standard Fm BAPI_DOCUMENT_CREATE2. This BAPI takes a file path input under table parameter DOCUMENTFILES. Problem is, when we are running the RFC from SAP GUI, the document info record is created correctly with the document as attachment, but when we invoke the RFC from the external application, the process fails and we get an error message stating:"Error while checking in Original Files". We debugged the scenario and found out that, while running under SAP GUI, the BAPI is able to identify a GUI Link, and hence succeeds; but while calling from the external application, the BAPI fails to find a GUI Link, tries to start a FTP Server using RFC Destination SAPFTP, and fails. So, obviously, the BAPI is not able to parse the local file path because of non-existence of GUI Link. So,in this regard, my question is: is there no way that we can pass a local file path from an external application to SAP, and get the same identified and get the document uploaded? Is there any alternative to our approach?
    Awaiting answers.
    Regards,
    Sid

    Solved the problem by:
Converting file content to binary->transferring binary content to a wrapper RFC->writing the content into a temporary file in application server->then calling BAPI_DOCUMENT_CREATE2 to create the document without attachment->then calling CVAPI_DOC_CHECKIN to checkin the temporay file from application server.

  • Working with Local Files

I have to develop a Web-Based application to run on each client's pc. Or, it could be to run on our intranet. This is for internal use only. The requirements are very simple:
    1. Web-Based
    2. Able to access local client's files
    3. Able to upload files via FTP
    4. Able to access a MySQL database to query some data
I recently developed a Desktop Application using Visual Basic 2008 Express .Net 3.5. It works ok. Application will look for .pdf files on a specific folder on C: drive, rename the files according to some user's input and database query result, then upload the renamed files to an FTP server. No problem. However, the company don't want a desktop application. So, my goal is to re-create the application using a new Rich Internet Application technology. I then, created a Windows User Control in VB.net 3.5 and embedded the .dll in an html page. This works great on my local development pc, however, it will have some security issues when I try to run it on our intranet. It seems like the control (Activex), will not allow access to the local files. I just need access to be able to rename files on C:, that's it. Then I came across Silverligt and Flex development software. But, after playing with flex for a little, noticed that Flex will not be my best choice to access and rename local files. Any suggestions about the technology that we should use?
Will I be able to accomplish this type of application using a Java Applet?
    Thanks!

  • Link iCloud with Local Files

    Hi
I recently moved from iTunes Library from from NAS to my local HD. In doing so iTunes didn't pick up some of my purchased music in the Music directory, leaving them orhpaned on the file system. The iCloud version appears in iTunes, but if I re-added the local files I will hhave duplicates with the iCloud version and the local version. Is there a way to reassocuate my iCloud version with the local file I have?
Looking in the XML I see the iCloud versions lack the File key and Location. Could I just add this to the XML?

  • Strange account behaviour with active sync

    Hi all,
i determined a strange behaviour with Active Sync:
I deleted an Account in IDM but in the active sync log i can always see the account information??
    Thnx Michael

Although, now that you are doing this
My workaround is to use an additional offscreen buffered image, do all of my rendering to that, and then at the end copy that image in one go to the drawGraphics from the buffer strategy.you no longer need to use BufferStrategy.Yes, good point. That didn't occur to me.
The way my implementation is I have a pluggable rendering strategy (i.e. the strategy pattern) where I can choose an implementation that will use the frame's bufferStrategy and drawGraphics, or my own BufferedImage back buffer. In light of what you've said I can easily change my implementation to not use the buffer strategy at all and I should save some rendering time.
I've found all sorts of weird behaviour when I use active rendering and have the OpenGL pipeline enabled (I need the pipeline enabled because I want accelerated images), e.g. even setting rendering hints can sometimes cause drawString to not output any text after the first frame.
I was really using BufferStrategy because I wanted to use hardware page flipping and sync my screen updates to the vertical blanking interval which, as it happens, I can't actually get to work - but that's a problem for another day/topic.
Anyway, I appreciate your follow-up, thanks.

  • [javaSE + NetBeans] Pasing between remote file with local files

I'm developing an application to achive this goals:
    1) connecting to remote host using the TCP protocol.
    2) parse a remote file with one in local (the 2 files have the same name)
    3) if this file is not equal with the one in local dowload this file and overwrite the old.
How can I manage the parse with this files? How can I get the remote file?

So if there is a file on the remote server under C:\Temp\ called TestFile.csv; should I be able to call that file in a function?
When I do so, all I see is an error saying cannot find a drive with the name C.
My thought on how to get the content of the CSV into the session is just to import it to a variable and then use that variable.  This is possible right?
    Thanks,
    Brian

Yes - assuming the file is accessible to the account you are running with and you are in the remote session.
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Just Check that one of your parameters is defined in lower case letters.
Earlier it used to give dump on execution but now if you download then it will give ABAP dump.
I have seen this problem many times.
