  • Link errors for NI-MAQdx examples

I’m getting link errors while debug compiling for all of the NIMAQdx examples.  There are three of them and they start with Undefined symbol, then ‘_UPLIBBreadpointWithElab@16’ referenced in the .lib file.  Using version CVI2013 and NI-MAQdx 4.2  Any suggestions?  Thanks.

    Hi Andy,
It's occurring on all of the examples IMAQdx examples.  I have a 32-bit PC, but tried it also on a 64-bit with the same linking errors.  I'm compiling in debug, but same errors during release version.  I think I'm including all of the appropriate files.  Attached is a screen shot.
    Thanks,

Did anyone succeed in making similar example to work on their own instance?

    Is this problem resolved?
If not, it's possible that extproc is not setup/working properly here.
    Please check the following:
    1. Verify $ORACLE_HOME/hs/admin/extproc.ora contains this line: SET EXTPROC_DLLS=ANY
    2. If 1 is verified, then check the following suggested actions for ORA:28546:
// *Action:  Check Net8 administration in the following ways:

    Hi Vishal,
Your trace file shows messages such as "gethostbyname" failures, which indicates to me a DNS failure or a misconfiguration at the network level. Can you perform a nslookup of both client and server hostnames from the database server? Also trying running the hostname command.
    Cheers,
    Stuart.

  • Error in indexing connectors

    Hi Experts ,
I am creating connectors via ESH_COCKPIT. I select the component EAHRGXX and under that I select HRTMC connectors individually. There are 32 HRTMC connectors that are selected at this step. When select "Create" ,there are 34 connectors selected! Other than 32 HRTMC connectors, two more connectors appear i.e. ESH_CATEGORY and ESH_CONNECTOR.
As of now I am deleting these two connectors manually but I am getting error for 9 connectors while indexing.is it because of these 2 connectors.
Could you please let me know why 2 additional connectors are appearing . though they are not selected.
    Thanks,
    Neha

    Hi Luke,
    Thanks for looking into this.
For the 9 connectors in error state , message is "Error while indexing".
Connector names can be seen in the attached snap shot.

  • Strange error transferring songs to my Zen X

I have a 40GB Nomad Zen Xtra, with firmware .20.08.
Anyway, I can transfer my music just fine most of the time, but occasionally I get a strange error for some of the music, sometimes it can even be for a whole album. The error says,"Error: Unable to download file. This file format is invalid." But the format clearly says .mp3, so it's really confusing. Does anyone know why this is happening because now I'm having some of my favorite stuff held off of my player.

It might be a problem with the tags. Copy the file, use a tagging program to remove the tags from the copied file, then try transferring again.
Failing that make sure to get the latest drivers, firmware, MediaSource and MediaSource plugin from Nomadworld.com downloads.

  • FIM PowerShell Connector - Error on Export

This issue is regarding recently published Microsoft PowerShell connector.
I'm following the instruction per Microsoft article listed here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn640417(v=ws.10).aspx
It says that in my Export Data script, I have to return a PutExportExtriesResults object to the pipeline, and it can be just an empty object like shown on the example.
    Write-Output (New-Object Microsoft.MetadirectoryServices.PutExportEntriesResults)
Only if I have any errors during export, then I need to create a list that conveys the error. However, when I executed  export on the MA, it gives an error after the run is completed. The error is ma-extension-error. When I opened the error to get more
    details, it says:
Connected data source error code: 0x80230703
    Connected data source error: unexpected-error.
Event viewer is not helpful to figure out what the issue is. It says the following on the stack trace:
"Microsoft.MetadirectoryServices.ExtensionException: csEntry ID: 14642da3-3028-e411-a6fd-00155d910f73, Export unsuccessful.
       at Microsoft.IdentityManagement.Connector.PowerShell.Bridge.ExportBridge.PutExportEntries(String scriptFileConfigKey, IList`1 connectorSpaceEntries)
    Forefront Identity Manager 4.1.3559.0"
Have anyone experienced this before, and know where I go wrong? Thank you very much for ya'll time.

I have done som research on how the PS MA works and found that you really have to do more then just add "Write-Output (New-Object Microsoft.MetadirectoryServices.PutExportEntriesResults)" at the end.
What i found worked was to do the following
    ======================== Example ========================
    $putExportEntriesResults = new-object -Typename Microsoft.MetadirectoryServices.PutExportEntriesResults
    foreach($csentry in $CSEntries){
     $csEntryChangeresult = [Microsoft.MetadirectoryServices.CSEntryChangeresult]::Create($csentry.Identifier,$csentry.AttributeChanges,"Success")
     $putExportEntriesResults.CSEntryChangeResults.Add($csEntryChangeresult)
    Write-Output $putExportEntriesResults
    ======================== End Example ========================
//Sorry for any typos in code//
And ALWAYS make sure to do "| Out-Null" on stuff that end up in the pipeline

    Check your Bundle jar.
It should be there in ConnectorServer (bundle directory), OIMHOME_JARS table.
Also check the Configuration Lookup for Bunde Version/Name etc.

  • Strange Errors from Import Server on Schema-based maps for repeating nodes

I have already posted one thread about this, but perhaps some more in-depth information is required:
We have uploaded our schema into the console, and have mapped the following multi-node file to it:
    CUSTOMER <repeating node>
      MDM_CUST (new Customer number returned)
CUSTOMER(mapped back from XI for RECORD MATCHING)
      CREATE_DATE (text field)
      CONTACT<repeating node>
        CONTACT_NO (RECORD MATCHING : NON-QUALIFIER)
        CONTACT_SAP_NO (QUALIFIER)
[NOTE: There are other qualifers for CONTACT, but only this one
qualifier is being returned and is the only field that would and should be updated.
The other fields should be left alone. However, it appears to overwrite EVERYthing
with NULL other than these two fields. The CONTACT_NO is the sole qualifer on
the table. It is a calculated field that equals the Auto-ID that is also produced on
the table - but obviously not mapped.]
      PARTNER<repeating node>
        CUSTOMER_NO (RECORD MATCHING : NON-QUALIFER)
PARTNER_FUNC (NON-QUALIFIER - Code given to lookup from PARTNER_FUNCTION table which has Code and Desc)
        PARTNER_NO     (NON-QUALIFIER)
        DEFAULT_PARTNER_FLAG (QUALIFIER)
    <CLOSE CUSTOMER NODE>
In the Customer main table, all records are matched on CUSTOMER. The CONTACT_NO non-qualifer is matched to the CONTACT qualified lookup table directly since it is the only available non-qualifier. For the PARTNER table, the three qualifiers are mapped and then a compound field is created to map to the PARTNER table entry.
We have the Configurations set at:
    Default Multi-Valued Update: Replace
    Default Qualified Update: Replace
    Default Matching Qualifiers: None
Our record matching is: Create / Update(ALL MAPPED FIELDS) / Update(ALL MAPPED FIELDS)
When the map is reused, the repeating nodes are all recognized, be it one node or many. However, when the map is reused, it does not automatically map the values for many of the Partner fields (nor the compound field) though the fields are correctly mapped.
Also, when we attempt to use Import Server to automate the mapping, we use the mdis.ini set to
    Automap Unmapped Value=True
    Unmapped Value Handling=Add
    Always Use Unmapped Value Handling=False
We get a very strange error saying that :
[code]Encountered a pre-SP4 map. The map needs to be upgraded to SP4.
Solution: Please, Launch the Import Manager GUI using the same source file and simply save the map.[code]
Could it be that our MDM 5.5 SP4 is not compatible with schemas generated with XI v.7 SP9?
All of our MDM is 5.5 SP4. It makes no sense that we would get THIS kind of error. Also, I am questioning our combination of these and other configurations since it doesn't always seem to do what it should

    Hi Donald,
this sounds good so far. Just a short hint: you've set "Default Qualified Update: Replace". This explains why Import server "appears to overwrite EVERYthing
with NULL other than these two fields.". The reason is the replace. A replace means that the old values are completely deleted and only the new incoming ones are stored. I'd suggest to use any of the Update possibilities.
Note: the definitions you set in in the record matching step are mainly for the new records in the main table! Records in qualified look ups are handled differently! If you open your map in Import Manager, switch to tab "Map Fields/Values". Select a field that is your non qualifier. Right-Click on it and choose "Set qualified update" from the context menu. Now you can define which qualifiers can be used for the qualified look up matching. And you can define as well what should happen with new and/or existing records.
Regarding the value mapping: do you use keymapping? Or do you use simple values only? Do you save the map everytime you add a new value mapping?
Regarding the issue "Encountered a pre-SP4 map. The map needs to be upgraded to SP4. Solution: Please, Launch the Import Manager GUI using the same source file and simply save the map". This sounds very likely like a bug in MDIS and should be reported to SAP!
    Hope that helps
    Michael

  • ColdFusion 11 wsconfig.exe -- Error while configuring connector for IIS.

I ran into a problem with my ColdFusion 11 64-bit installation/migration on a Windows Server 2012 R2/IIS 8.5.  I was following the ColdFusion 11 Lockdown Guide - Pete Freitag (very helpful) and I ran into problems on page 35 "Run the ColdFusion Web Server Configuration Tool".  When I attempted to do this for ALL IIS websites I encountered a Windows error [APPCRASH - Exception Code:c0000005].  Also, note my Administrator-Command Prompt window provided this error message "Error while configuring connector for IIS. Make sure you have administrator privileges".  However, I did not experience this error with all of the migrated sites.  I traced my steps backward to discover the problem.  I used the Microsoft Web Deployment tool (good tool) to migrate the old IIS websites to the new IIS.  I utilized Metabase Explorer the IIS 6.0 Resource Tools to discover that some of the migrated sites that were crashing did not have the key/value ID:6006 | Name: DefaultDoc.  Once I added this key and redeployed the site the ColdFusion 11 connector (wsconfig.exe) worked fine.  In addition, I added this key/value to some of the larger previously migrated sites in IIS 8.5 ("Default Document") and it worked with the connector as well.
Knowing how IIS encapsulates information the DefaultDoc key/value should have passed from the website setting.  Why would this make wsconfig.exe crash?
Thanks in advance and I hope this saves someone from hours of research and frustration.

    DiscoDelight,
Have you forwarded this information directly to the ColdFusion product team?  If not, I'll try to draw their attention to it.  Only a few of them are active on these forums, so this issue might be overlooked.

EDIT: I just pinged them on Twitter to take a look at this post.
EDIT #2: They just pinged me back that they are looking into it.

  • Strange error when Bootcamp attempts to create partition for Windows

I get a strange error when I tell Bootcamp to create a partition for Windows. I get to the Create a Partition stage. I select 20GB for Windows leaving 91GB (39GB free) for OS X. I then click Partition and it gives me the following error
*The disk cannot be partitioned because some files cannot be moved.*
Back up the disk and use Disk Utility to format it as a single Mac OS Extended (Journaled) volume. Restore your information to the disk and try using Boot Camp Assistant again.
My disk is formatted in Mac OS Extended (Journaled), I have closed all applications (besides Bootcamp Assistant) and I have even restarted and tried again to see if that might help. Nothing. I can't get it to partition. Any thoughts? Can I partition my disk manually through disk utility and then select it in Bootcamp?

If I uninstall the DFC everything works fine except that I get a message in the logs saying the connector is not configured correctly.
I've check my adobe-component-ext.properties file and environment variables repeatedly.
If I go and bootstrap the DB I see this in the logs:
    ####<May 26, 2010 3:11:20 PM EDT> <Error> <com.adobe.idp.dsc.initializer.DSCInitializerBean> <auslyncas01> <LCTServer1> <[ACTIVE] ExecuteThread: '1' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'> <<anonymous>> <> <> <1274901080303> <000000> <DSCInitializerBean:initialize():Error:POF schema not initialized null>
And if I then try to redploy the components via the LCM I get this error message when I try to connect:
Failed to connect to LiveCycle service container.
LiveCycle service container information or login information may be invalid or the server is not running or accessible.
Again, if I uninstall DFC everything works fine except for the connector.
    Any ideas?

    Hi Brian,
Can you please provide the configuration detils of your set-up like: Operating system, DB, Appserver all with version info. Then are you using 32-bit OS and JVM?
And also provide complete Appserver logs and LCM (configuration Manager logs). DFC has nothing to do with Appserver as such, but as you observed that everything works fine after uninstalling it, so we have to look in to this issue. Can you also provide complete version number of DFC 5.3 installer you used?
    Take Care,
    -Abhijeet.
