Strange error in compiling a jsp in jdev

I tried to compile a jsp using a custom jsp tag. All the requried java libraries are set in project's library path and additional path. But I got a class name used by the tag as the compiling error. No any message regarding to it. I think this may be related to the jsp compiler checking the custom tag's attribute type and tld file, but don't know how to fix it in jdev environment. Any help will be appreciated.

This is what I set in web.xml:
<taglib>
<taglib-uri>http://xmlns.oracle.com/j2ee/jsp/tld/ordim/intermedia-taglib.tld</taglib-uri>
<taglib-location>/WEB-INF/intermedia-taglib.tld</taglib-location>
</taglib>
I set the path to the tag library jar file ordjsptag.jar in the additional path of the project. I think the compiler can find the jar file.
This tag library also uses another component of Oracle: ordim.jar and it is also in the library path of the project. I can import the class in ordim.jar from the project's jsp page. But when I compile the jsp that contains my custom tag, I got error message: "oracle.ord.im.OrdImage" which is a class name in ordim.jar.

    Hello everyone.
    I am trying to compile my investigation code using the sun studio 12 update 1.
    i can compile correctly and run without problems if i don't activate openmp.

    P.S. please answer also at [email protected]

    The compiler assertion means the C++ parser got itself into an "impossible" situation and had to abort. Specifically, it thought it was at the end of a full expression, but also seemed not to be at the top of the parse tree -- contradiction, no way to continue.
    There is no way to know what caused the problem, or to fix it in the compiler, without a test case. The abort is always a compiler bug, and we don't like the compiler to abort.
    You might be able to narrow down the problem by binary search. In any case, you can file a bug report at [http://bugs.sun.com]. You will be asked for a test case, which could be larger than anything you could reasonably post in the forum.
    For faster and better service, you can get a support contract with Sun. Support options are here:

  • Getting error while running TestDbcConn.jsp in jdev

    Hi,
    We are implementing iStore 12.1.3.
    In order to create iStore jdev setup, I referred metalink note 1330599.1 (R12: How to Customize and Execute iStore JSPs from Oracle Jdeveloper?).
    I followed all the steps exactly as instructed.
    However when I run TestDbcConn.jsp, as instructed in step 8, I am getting following error:
    JTFDBCFILE=\fnd\secure\
    cant read dbc file
    Please note that I have downloaded .dbc file from unix server and placed it in "<project_dir>\fnd\secure" directory as instructed in Step 6 of the metalink note.
    Any prompt help/suggestion in this regard is appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Vivek

    This setting needs to be done in Jdeveloper.
    Goto Project Properties -> Run/Debug
    Click Edit, In launch Settings, enter the DBC File details in Java Options textbox.
    Thanks,

    Is it becoz of the gcc or something. Please help, as it is very important for me to solve this issue early or else i am dead meat.
    Thanks in advance

    Thanx Again Robert. But i have been able to resolve the issue. Dont ask me how coz even i dont know. I just installed the gcc 3.3.2 from sunfreeware compatible for solaris 10. yes, the mkheaders command did help me a great extent as simply installing the gcc from sunfreeware site didnt help, i had to explicitly do mkheaders to be able to use the gcc. but at the end of it, i am now running gcc... thankx for ur valuable help and that too a repeated one :-) am a happy man now!!!

  • Error when compiling JSF JSP

    I'm getting the following error when I try to compile an application containing a JSF JSP in JDeveloper 10.1.3. The error is:
    Error: java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: javax.servlet.jsp.tagext.TagAttributeInfo.<init>(Ljava/lang/String;ZLjava/lang/String;ZZ)V
    I've checked the files in the classpath and the TagAttributeInfo class is located in <install>/j2ee/home/lib/servlet.jar. I decompiled the class and it does have a constructor that takes (String, boolean, String, boolean, boolean).
    The only change I made between when things worked and now is that I tried to add a JSF JSP that used the ADF classes. But once I started getting this compilation error, I removed the ADF classes from the project, so they shouldn't be causing any problems anymore.
    Any ideas what's wrong?
    Thanks

    Hello,
    May be that your classpath doesn't include that location ?
    Have you tried to put the TagAttributeInfo.class file into your current folder
    (or may be in ..\<your_project>\Classes\.. path ) ?
    To check if your classpath does actually include your path, you could run:
    <%@ page contentType="text/html;charset=windows-1252"%>
    <html>
    <head>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1252">
    <title>Dummy JSP-CLASSPATH</title>
    </head>
    <body>
    <%
    out.println("<h1><em>JSP Showing your CLASSPATH</h1></em>");
    out.println("<hr></hr><p>");
    out.println(System.getProperty("java.class.path"));
    %>
    </body>
    </html>
    Hope this will help you.

    I think if you add spaces to your init parameters that should solve your
              problem. As well you might want to install the latest service pack 5.
              There are some problems that you will encounter without the latest service
              pack.

  • Getting an strange error in "PluginPrefix.pch" while compiling a plugin code with InDesign CS4 SDK.

    Hi everybody,
    Currently trying to compile/build the existing Plugin code (C++) with InDesign CS4 SDK on my Mac OS X 10.5 machine but getting following strange errors.
      /Volumes/MAC Extended/Inbetween Extended/Visual Studio/Adobe InDesign CS4 SDK/source/precomp/gcc/PluginPrefix.pch:26:27: error: MemoryStatics.h: No such file or directory
      /Volumes/MAC Extended/Inbetween Extended/Visual Studio/Adobe InDesign CS4 SDK/source/precomp/gcc/PluginPrefix.pch:39:30: error: PluginBuildFlags.h: No such file or directory
      /Volumes/MAC Extended/Inbetween Extended/Visual Studio/Adobe InDesign CS4 SDK/source/precomp/gcc/PluginPrefix.pch:40:28: error: AnsiBasedTypes.h: No such file or directory
      /Volumes/MAC Extended/Inbetween Extended/Visual Studio/Adobe InDesign CS4 SDK/source/precomp/gcc/PluginPrefix.pch:41:26: error: ShukHeaders.cp: No such file or directory
    Though above mentioned files are present at the following directory
    /Volumes/../../../Adobe InDesign CS4 SDK/source/precomp/common/
    Note : However initially I did not find “MemoryStatics.h” and “AnsiBasedTypes.h” files in the installed SDK directory. I have downloaded them from the net and copied those into the above mentioned directory.
    I am not much familiar with Mac OS environment and compiling/building C++ code with Xcode. Can anyone help me to resolve this issue (might be very trivial and related to Xcode project configuration) ?

    Thanks for the quick response,
    Yes, current build settings include path shortcuts as mentioned below and it also contains “$(CS_SDK_PATH)/source/public/includes” path in HEADER_SEARCH_PATHS settings.  But still I am getting the same error: MemoryStatics.h: No such file or directory
    CS_SDK_PATH= /Volumes/MAC Extended/Inbetween Extended/Visual Studio/Adobe InDesign CS4 SDK
    CS_SDK_PRJ_PATH=/Volumes/MAC Extended/Inbetween Extended/Visual Studio/InBetweenDev/Projects/InBetweenCS/IBClientPluginCS3/prjCS4/mac
    Just for clarification : my Plugin code /project files are not inside the InDesign SDK (build/mac/prj). All the plugin project is outside of the InDesign SDK directory. Thus above mentioned CS_SDK_PATH and CS_SDK_PRJ_PATH are completely different.
    Is it expected that the plugin code/project files should be inside the InDesign SDK/build/mac/prj  directory only ? or is it okay if we put it in the completely another directory structure and modify the  SDK_PRJ_PATH accordingly (as in my case) ?
    Please let me know if you want me to elaborate the situation further.

  • Connection refused error running JSP on Jdev 10.1.3.0.3.3412 with MySL 5.0

    Hello,
    I'm using Jdeveloper 10.1.3.0.3.3412 on a Mac with a MySQL database. In Jdeveloper i can make a connection to the database and create adf business components
    I've made a JSP page with ADF on a single table. No errors when compiling. When I try to run the JSP Page using Embedded OC4J (on Mac OSX Tiger) I get the error:

    What am I doing wrong? The embedded OC4J library is added to the project. I've tried to use the javac compiler. It looks like the OC4J instance cannot make a connection to the db.
    Thanks,
    Martin

    Hello
    I've added the connection to the web.xml, but still get the same error.
    When I go to embedded OC4J preferences and change the JNDI-names of the datasources (global and current-workspace) to the same name (this was default), i get this error message:

  • NWDI - Runtime error while compiling JSPs (PAR DC)

    Hello
    I am creating a PAR DC that needs to use some in house developed
    ValueObjects (accessed through a J2EE server library).
    Though my developed JSPDynPage is able to access the ValueObjects, when I try to use it in a JSP, I get a runtime compilation error.
    According to my understanding, setting the PrivateSharingReference helps the controller (jspdynpage) find the classes it needs at runtime,
    But the JSP Compiler does not have access to those classes.
    Can anyone suggest a solution that does not include copying jar files
    manually?
    I have an open CSN about this, but no answer there yet...

  • Error in compiling - Navigation Editor.jsp

    Hi,
    we are using MII 12.0.2. It is deployed on NW 7.11.
    We tried to open the navigation page from XMII Home Menu. But while clicking the Navigation link, it is showing the 500 Internal server error:
    Error: "Error in compiling [/XMII/Admin/NavigationEditor.jsp] in application [sap.com/xappsxmiiear]."
    Troubleshooting Guide https://sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/wiki?path=/display/jsts/home
    Details: "The WebApplicationException log ID is [02004C4F4F50007600000000000017E4]."
    we tried to open the above mentioned Troubleshooting Guide but it is showing page not found error.
    What is the problem and how to solve it.
    Regards,
    senthil

    Check your installation instructions.  I do not think MII 12.0.2 should be installed on NW 7.11.  I think it is limited to NW 7.0.
    Regards,
    Mike

    When I compile this JSP page, I got the error:
    ')' expected
    If the application is deployed in the J2EE container like Tomcat or OC4J, the page works fine.
    Is this a JDeveloper bug?? What Can I do?

    The JSP page works fine in OC4J 10.1.2, but in the OC4J 10.1.3 it throws the same error.
    The soruce code that the container generates is this:
    if ((objectid= (package.MyClass) pageContext.getAttribute( "objectid", PageContext.APPLICATION_SCOPE)) == null) {
    throw new InstantiationException("No se ha encontrado el bean "objectid" en el ámbito "application"");
    The bug consist in the generation of the servlet source code. The double quotation is the problem, for that, the compiler generates the error ')' expected...
