String values changing when compiling, preverifying and packing apps.

I have an app that uses commands. The command text values I pick from String array, that contains all the values for various Commands. This is done for making it easier to change languages in the app.
The problem is that vhen I pack the app, these string-values might be changed. Characters that are bit more exotic.. (like spanish letters with ' or ~ on top of the character on various european characters with dots are converted something else.
At the moment I just initialize these Strings like
String text = "Do this";Any ideas how to avoid this conversion..

If Find My Phone has not been activated on the iPhone before being lost there is nothing more that you can do to locate it with iCloud. The only option is physical search for it.
If you have an idea of the location, call the iPhone and see if you can hear it ring.

FMB size changes when compiled using ifcmp60 compared to using ifbld60

We observed that when we batch compiled our forms size of the FMB reduced quite a bit after batch compile and save compared
to what it was to originally when compiled and saved through forms builder (ifbld60.EXE). If after this form is opened in
forms builder and then compiled and saved it reverts to original size. We also checked using one of the third party form
diff utility and found both FMB’s from batch compile and one from form builder even though of different size do not have any
difference.
Now question sis what is the reason FMB size is reduced and does it not pose any kind of issue for loosing something out of
the FMB. Please explain what is this behavior with impact if any etc?
We batch compile using the following code.
For %%I in (sizechange.FMB) do start /w ifcmp60 module=%%I userid=usrname/passwd@SID batch=yes compile_all=yes Upgrade=No
build=Yes
We made a sample form named sizechange.fmb with non-db block and having program unit selecting from dual multiple times.
Environment details : Windwos 2000, Forms 6.0.8.22.1, db(8.0.6.0.0) on HP9000-UX 10.20

Didn't see they where timestamps . Yes it seems that glx is one cause of the delay. I've tried some different xorg.conf, and it's always ligglx.so or NV-GLX that slows it down. Any suggestions on how I can speed this up?
ps. The computer is ok. Although the garddrive is a SATA 3.0Gb/s, 5400 RPM. But I don't think this is the problem?

String value changes single quote ' to double quote "

I am creating a list with different bill codes within single
quotes as follows

when I do an output

I get the values as follows

However when I put the same string within a cfquery the
single quotes get replaced by double quotes as follows
AND idbillcode IN ( ''1100 '',''1200 '',''1300 '',''1700
'',''1800 '',''1950 '',''7001 '') which throws an error.

That is ColdFusion escaping the single quotes, by doubling
them so that
you can search for strings such as "singhpk's code does not
work".
(Note the single quote/apostrophe that would normally break
this string
if it was not escaped.
To tell CF not to do this, one uses the
preserveSingleQuotes() function.

Automatic price update if key field values changed in sales order and bill

Hi Experts,
I have requirement as follows.
Scenario: - We wanted carryout the pricing based on Incoterms, customer and material. I have created the condition table with these fields. And maintained the condition record. The values will flow to sales order without any problem.

Problem: - When we change the incoterms say for CIF to FOB the system should redetermine the price automatically, but this is not happening (If will redetermine only freight). If we carryout new pricing manually the right price will flow.

Expectations: - Is their any exit or any configuration setting where in system will redetermine the price automatically if we change the field value in sales order(For the field value it will be used to create condition table).
If anyone done this please help me with setting or Exit and code to enable us to come out from the situation.
We need this to happen while creating sales order as well as billing, Since @ billing prices will be redetermined.

Adobe acrobat text feild value changing when placing a cursor

Hi,
I am using adobe acrobat 9 for printing some letters.
I have a pdf document in that there are bundle of letters. In all letter there are some common text fields are existing.
Here issue is, the content of first letter values are appearing in all remaining letters common fields when i am placing cursor over the field.
While i am printing also the first letter are appearing in all letters.
But when i use adobe 5 the issue is not occurring.
Please help me, to get rid of this issue.

I have pdf document, which consists of multiple letters. All letters have common content but the date field, name of client, address and control number are differ for individual letter.
Issue is, while i am looking at the letter everything is fine, i mean data is distinct for each letter. The i printed the pdf doc but all letters have same date field, name of client, address and control number which are as of first letter.
And when i click on text field the content of field is changing and showing same as first letter. When i remove cursor its again distinct.
For example in first letter date field is 15th feb 2015. In second letter its showing 16th feb 2015. But when i place cursor over the field its changing to 15th feb 2015. while i remove the cursor its showing 16th feb 2015. i printed the letter and its showing 15th feb 2015 in both letters.
Here the issue is not with the batch program which is placing the data to the doc. As this issue is coming while using Adobe Acrobat 5 to generate the pdf doc.
I am suspecting some properties change is causing this issue. i try to change one property of text field like back ground color, then the text field value is not changing and if i print also the value is not changing.
I cant share the pdf document as it has some confidential information.
please suggest me to resolve this issue.

Why don't color values change when using proof colors?

Hi,
i am very interested in obtaining exact replicas of the image in screen (in ProPhoto) and the image printed (using a suitable printer profile). However when I select Proof Colors from the view menu, the appearance changes but the RGBV or Lab colors remain the same. This is counter intuitive and goes against the well known recomendation to do color correcting using numbers instead of your eyes.
What's happening? Is there a way to accomplish what I want?

please let me tell you my opinion, based on working with i1Pro, ProfileMaker and a couple
of printers and monitors:
a) one doesn't calibrate a monitor for a better match of monitor view and print result.
The monitor has to be calibrated for preferred settings, here for 100cd/m² and 6500K.
In my case, calibrated in an almost dark room in order to avoid any flare, the minimal
luminance is about 0.3cd/m², which results in a contrast of about 300. With some ambient
light the actual contrast is probably not as large.
b) one doesnt calibrate a printer with respect to a monitor. The printer is calibrated by
printing a target and measuring this, followed by profile generation. As a result, a printer
can print color patches with certain Lab values with a measurable accuracy, without any
reference to a monitor. By the way: calibration takes the paper color into account, there-
for one needs for each paper a new profile (as well for different printing modes or diffferent
black inks and so on).
What is to do?
You have already i1 Profiler. Each version can profile monitors, but you need a version
which can profile printers as well. In this German doc means Drucker=printer:

What means RGB mode? Epson printers, for instance my model 7890, can be calibrated in
RGB mode or in CMYK mode. Of course. the printer prints finally by CMYK inks, but the
targets are defined either by RGB values or by CMYK values.
RGB mode is preferred by photographers (RGB images), CMYK mode accepts as well CMYK
data as generated in PostScript workflows and is used for proofing offset-print-ready PDFs.
An example: technical graphics may contain one or two inks in order to avoid registration
errors. Sending these data to an 'RGB-printer' would result in printing by all inks.
I'm calibrating in CMYK mode. The profile interpretation by Profile Inspector shows CMYK
as device space. Available profiles by others (for common papers) show RGB as device space.
Profile connection space is in either case CIELab.
How are the viewing conditions?
Probably not by viewing monitor and print side by side. The monitor has 6500K, prints are
to be inspected under 5000K. Thus, a simultaneous adaptation is impossible.
Also, it would be wrong, because the rendering is mostly not Absolute Colorimetric.
For the critical inspection of prints the illuminance should be very bright, 2000lx (lux),
according to ISO. 100cd/m² is roughly equivalent to 300lx (3-hundred).
As a result, one cannot expect a match, but an impression: looks right on the monitor, looks
right on the print. And an offset printing press can be adjusted by matching a proof print.

Picture changes when I close and restart.

I have been retouching old Census pages
of my family. I get the lines all straigtened up I
close it down and the next time I open it up the lines are all jagged and the
beautiful straight lines of solid color are changed into multiple
. Is there a way to stop this from happening, I've got hundreds of hours invested.

I'm confused. Your last screenshot shows the lines in B&W but you said they were color when you created them.
What tool are you using to draw the lines?
Please do Image > Resize > Image Size and post the info or a screenshot of it as in this example.
I have PSE2 so the Image Size dialog box or path to Image Size might be different in your version.

WHEN I PUT AN MP3 INTO GARAGEBAND TO USE AS A SAMPLE THE SAMPLE CHANGES WHEN I SAVE AND COME BACK TO THE PROJECT, HELP!

I am using An MP4 that I turned into an Mp3 as a sample on a song. When I try to use the middle part of the file it just changes to another part of the track. When I save the project and come back to it the sample is completely different than when I saved it. HELP!

I believe you have to do Get Info on the file through the Finder (not thru iTunes...search for the track in the music folder on your hard drive) and you should see a toggle arrow for Ownership and Permissions. See if it says Read and Write.

Colors change when compiling on different OS

Hoe can I ensure that colors in enter-query mode stay the same when I recompile my form (developed on winxp) on a different OS (say HP-UX)?
When I run my form locally in enter-query mode the queryable fields turn yellow, but when I recompile the same form un UNIX and run it there, the user cannot see that the form is in enter-query mode for the fields' colors do not change.
How can we prevent this?

I'm not sure if this could be a setting in forms\java\oracle\forms\registry\Registry.dat, but it does sound similar to the one in that file which makes required fields a different colour.
If not that then possibly your form links to a library that has different versions on either server?

Conditiontype value changed when billing

I have a conditiontype for freight where the customer is charged 50 £ if the ordervalue is less then 5000.
if the orderquantity is 25 pce and we pick and do post goods issue with 26 pce then the amount af the conditiontype changes and get higher when billing doc is created. How must the conditiontype be configuered to be not changed during the process ?
Or is there something else i have to think of.

The price is getting changed because of redetermination of pricing elements at invoice level.
This control is not available at condition type level. This depends upon the copy control from delivery documents to Invoice.
Change the pricing type in copying requiremnet depending upon business requiremnet.
D Copy pricing elements unchanged
G Copy pricing elements unchanged and redetermine taxes

Excise Value change during Part 1 and 2

Dear SAP Gurus,
1.)Requirement is that material store person should not interfere in the excise transaction not even in part-1, but the doubt is as per my knowledge part -1 can only be done before the GR or during the GR (along with GR). and client want part -1 and 2 can only be done by FI person so how to meet the requirment.
2.) and if no alternative is there on above the Part-1 is happening during the GR , then material store person should not change any thing in Excise duties. and if the requirement is to change the excise duties , it can be changes during the Part -2 .
Please suggest how to meet the requirment.

it will Disable the following otions at MIGO
post excise invoice option
only captre invoice option
it will enable the following option
only part1
this will allow stores person to post only part one entries.There will not be any interference by stores person in excise duties.
then after GR fi person can capture excise invoice through J1IEX by refering the material document.

Line details sort order when using Pick and Pack

Hi,
A customer of mine recently complained (very small complain) that when he used "Per date" as a sort when using Pick & Pack, that the line details where not grouped together by Sales Order Number.
Example:
2008/11/23   SO1001 - Line 1
2008/11/23   SO1013 - Line 3
2008/11/23   SO1001 - Line 2
2008/11/23   SO1001 - Line 4
2008/11/23   SO1021 - Line 1
2008/11/23   SO1001 - Line 5
etc...
Is there a way to sort records on two columns instead of just one? or would there be another workaround this issue?

I think I found my answer, sorting data using the Data/Sort feature allows for sorting on multiple columns.
