'structure field cannot be modified' error

hi,
i am facing a problem in webUI. whenever i navigate to a particular view, its working fine but an error message is displayed on top saying 'structure field cannot be modified' . i am not able to find out why and where this is generated.
can anyone help me please.

If you can traverse through the Structure 'CRMT_OPPORT_H_WRK' and click on the data element (CRMT_SALESCYCLE) used for 'SALESCYCLE', you will come to know that the domain used is CRM_SALESCYCLE. Double click on the domain and click in tab Value Range Tab, you will find that it makes use of table CRMC_CYCLE. This allows data only from this table.

This is my first post, so please be gentle :-).
I am attempting to update the unit prices on a bunch of Sales Orders via DTW.
Some items update successfully, but some do not, failing with the error :
RDR1.GrossBuyPr line: x, 'Field cannot be updated (ODBC -1029)'Application-defined or object-defined erroroOrders
I am not attempting to modify this column, although I am guessing that this is calculated by Business One internally.
I am using 2 tab-delimited files :
Documents.txt, which contains the RecordKey & DocEntry columns.
Documents_Lines.txt, which at the moment contains RecordKey, LineNum, UnitPrice & ItemCode.
I have tried it with the UnitPrice column renamed to Price, and with and without the ItemCode column present, and they give exactly the same error.
If I remove the price column completely, then it works (but nothing has updated, obviously).
I have searched the forums, the only thing I can see that comes close is the UnitPrice / Price renaming.
Or am I going about this the wrong way? The prices that I want to import already exist as a price list, and we can manually change these in Business One by going Form Settings -> Price List when in a Sales Order, but I am unsure how to do this via DTW. There are approx 3000 items that need changing, so doing it manually is not really an option.

IBase component field cannot be modified anymore in ticket after SP16

Hi all,
I have a customer that is not happy about the fact that the Service Desk IBase component cannot be changed in tickets after installing SP16.

However, what we don't understand is why in ONE of the tickets we have created this field is editable.
Do you think that this may be a bug? Or perhaps we did something different with this one ticket?

"cannot be modified" error

I go to "Connect to Server" and connect fine and can read all of the files, but cannot write to the server. I am running 2 machines, one windows - one mac, and would like to run mac exclusively, however I need to go to my windows machine just to transfer files that i created on my mac, colossal pain in the neck. what is the solution to be able to write files to the webserver? I have experienced this with two different internet service providers so it is not exclusive. Can Dreamweaver 8 figure it out?

Use a real ftp program. cyberduck, fugu.
Dreamweaver should be able to handle security at the ftp site fine.
Finder/Safari not saving to an ftp folder is documented, I believe.

Structure field Igsurl not found - MySAP ERP ESS SP07

Hi All,
We have installed ESS SP07 mySAP ERP business package on WAS
6.40 SP11 and we are getting java stack trace complaining about "structure field Igsurl not found" error while trying to create a travel plan through "Travel and Expenses" tab. However we have alreaady configured IGS as per sap documentation.
Have anyone experienced the same problem? Any solution?

Drive Cannot be modified

I don't know what the heck is going on. All of a sudden everytime I drag a file from one hard drive to another, whether internal or external I keep getting a "Drive cannot be modified error" Is there a setting that maybe I activated or deactivated somehow.

Also I get a white circle with a line going through it meaning that I can't even drop the file on the drive or any drive.

Sorry for late reply. I will try my best to help you.
First of all, you may apply the note 1058240 to solve your JAVA error. Remember, apply in R/3 server and NOT portal server. Make sure it is imported and then you MUST restart yout portal server. Then everything will be fine. Make sure your EA-HR version is suitable to apply this note.
Then for configuration, the first thing is to change the agent for workflow WS12300111 and all it's task to General Task. I think you had done this. This is good.
Then you must maintain SPRO. Normally I will use the IMG path Personnel Management -> Employee Self-Service -> Service-Specific Setting -> Working Time. In here, you will see all the configuration you can do for ESS Leave Application.
Then you go to Leave Request -> Processing Processes -> Specify Processing Processes for Types of Leave. This is the same thing you do in the IMG path Personnel Time Management - Web Applications - Leave Request - Link Absence Type & Workflow Teplets.
You must maintains this so that the leave type will display on ESS Leave Application. Please remeber that the leave type is base on PSG and if you have a lot of PSG, then you must create all of them in this configuration. Assign the workflow WS12300111 or your own workflow here if the leave type required a workflow.
Above is the important things that need to configure. You may configure others stuffs in the same path Personnel Management -> Employee Self-Service -> Service-Specific Setting -> Working Time.

When trying to edit metadata, I get an error "This property cannot be modified."

I took some photos with my iPhone 4, copied them to my desktop, and now I want to remove the GPS metadata from a few of them.
I tried to remove the properties directly in Windows 7, but I get an error saying "An error occurred when writing the property 'Latitude' to the file 'filename'."
So I decided to try it in Bridge CS5. I selected the photo, went to the metadata panel, double clicked the location under Latitude, and I get an error saying "This property cannot be modified."

Extensible Metadata Platform(XMP) standard. The only supported format is GPS format

Error message: "Desktop cannot be modified."

If I try to create files or an alias on the Desktop I receive an error message "Error... Desktop cannot be modified."
As a result I am unable to save anything to the desktop. This problem just surfaced in the past couple of days. Any ideas how to remedy this problem?

In your home folder, select the Desktop folder then press Command+I or Control+click to bring up the Get Info window. At the bottom of that window click on the reveal arrow labeled Details. The owner of the folder should be your short name with Read & Write Access, the Group is staff with read only access and others is also read only. If those permissions are different from that click on the padlock icon and enter your password then reset the ownership and permissions to match what I gave you.

VA02 user exit - cannot update append structure field in XVBAP/VBAP

Hi Guys,
I am currently using one of the many user exits in updating XVBAP to update the VBAP sap table in VA02.
However I am encountering a problem when updating a customized append structure field. When I change the value of the append structure field only it doesnt update in VBAP upon save event. Only when I also change a sap standard field (ARKTX) the append structure gets updated.
Is there a way to resolve this wherein even if I just XVBAP-<append structure field> only ... the corresponding field in VBAP gets updated?

Which userexit subroutine are you using to move the append structure field values to the XVBAP table? Are you having the user enter values on a screen during VA02 for the append structure fields, or are you setting those values within the code when the user saves? For the purposes of this response, I will assume you are not having the user enter the values, and that (from what you have described) you are using subroutine userexit_move_field_to_vbap.
While userexit_move_field_to_vbap sounds logical at first, you should be aware that this subroutine (which is called at the end of module vbap_fuellen) may only be called when one of the chain fields (in the flow logic of the VA02 screen) is changed. If you search for all the calls of module vbap_fuellen in screens of SAPMV45A, you will see that most of them have a list of chain fields with "on chain-request" logic. Since your append structure fields will not be listed in the flow logic of the standard VA02 screen, changing one of the append structure fields alone would not trigger the PAI module vbap_fuellen. Of course, changing a standard VBAP field (ARKTX was your example) could trigger the vbap_fuellen module (as long as it was one of the chain fields) which would consequently trigger the userexit_move_field_to_vbap subroutine.
You may want to consider trying USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE. Please explain further if I have misunderstood your question.
Anyone else out there have any ideas? Does my analysis make any sense?
