  • Auto session Logout

    HI All,
    We have implemented auto session logout(if user is ideal for 30 mins one message popup will come and after 5mins user gets logged off) in our portal and it is working but when user is in edit mode of any ess application, popup message will come and when user is about log off  we are getting one more popup message box with two buttons "ok" and "cancel" asking "Are you sure you want to navigate away from this page" .When user clicks on ok he will logoff from the portal and when user clicks on cancel portal session is restored.
    My requirement is, the user should log off even if he is in edit mode and to overcome this popup message box which is stopping the logoff function.
    Thanks,
    Santosh.

    Hi Santosh,
    Go to System Admin -> System Config -> Service Config -> Applications -> com.sap.portal.epcf.loader -> epcfloader and set the property workprotect.mode.default to 2.
    Refer to the link below for more details on Workprotect mode:

  • ISCSI Initiator Session Logout

    On GREPI02 (W2K3 SP2 x86, iSCSI Initiator 2.08) I can't logout the iSCSI Initiator session on the "Targets" tab and then "Details" button as I get the following error:
    The session cannot be logged out since a device on that session is currently being used.
    When I attempt this session logout I also get the following System event entries:

    I can do this same logout from another W2K3 SP2 virtual machine and it works fine so appears to be something specific to this GREPI02 node.Joe

    Hi,
    From the Event log, we can find " FileSystem\Ntfs" is trying to prevent your logout. To find out which file was opened, please try this tool:
    Handle
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896655.aspx
    Run "handle.exe path-of-iscsi-drive >>handle.txt" and post the result here.

  • Random Kernel Panic Restarts and Session Logouts

    Since installed Yosemite and its first update 10.10.1, I am experiencing random kernel panics and subsequent restarts.
    Also I'm having random session logouts, nut that happens less frequently.
    I'm running an late 2012 iMac, Intel Core i7 3,1 GHz, 16GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 512 MB, 1TB Fusion Drive.
    I had a problem in the hard drive, but Apple Geniuses solved it and performed a fresh Yosemite install.
    Over that install, I restored a Time Machine backup.
    All and all, the issue still continues.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    First of all, thanks for your help Eric.
    I did uninstalled both drivers and so far (30') there has been no issue.
    Of course, since those kernel panics are random, I wouldn't know if they are already solved.
    Maybe I should wait a significant amount of time to be sure.
    Anyway, all points to the VCP driver to be the culprit.
    Thing is that I will need the driver installed again at some point to run a Z-Wave USB stick, that controls my home automation.
    The driver version is the latest Silicon Labs made available, which is pre-Yosemite.
    Also, they say they are upgrading the driver (which reinforces the theory of it being the faulty), but have no release date yet.
    Any suggestions in the meantime?

    You have two copies of toplink.jar visible to the application classloader - D:/MOJ_SVN/Lib/toplink.jar should be removed.
    For compilation of the application use toplink.jar provided by the server: D:/jdevstudio/toplink/jlib/toplink.jar

  • How to wash out an AM instance variable at the end of user session (logout)

    We have a need to create AM instance variables to hold some session level data, which is too complex to be held in a transient VO.
    What we observed is that the instance variable is not washed out at the end of the user session (i.e logout).
    I think since the AM instance is not really destroyed but only release back to the pool the instance variable content persists and is carried over to the next session that access the AM instance.
    What method in AM can be overridden to wash out this instance variable.
    At the moment we are resetting it in prepareSession(), but this means that the information is still held till the next session access the AM.
    It would be better to reset it when the AM is released back to the pool.
    Any pointers would be helpful.

    At the moment we are resetting it in prepareSession(), but this means that the information is still held till the next session access the AM.
    Note that prepareSession() is also invoked after AM activation so this can(and probaly will) reset your variable inside existing session.
    If you don't need to keep variable value between AM activations/passivations, you can use userData, for example:
    this.getSession().getUserData().put("someKey", value);
    UserData values are lost after AM passivation (by default).
    If you need to keep UserData variable value for lifetime of user session, then you can override passivateState() and activateState() as in this sample:
    Application State Management

  • Logic Pro crashes keycommands while session

    Logic 7.2, another mysterious bug. Some of the keycommands crash down while a usual logic-session. For example the "m" for mute. It doesn´t work anymore. If I go to alt-K (for changing keycommands--- it doesn´t work either, so I run the menu), everything seems to be alright, "m" is asigned to mute. But it still does not work. Sometimes I can´t even type something in this alt-K-menue, the keyboard seems to be disconnected. But this problem just occures in Logic.
    Anyone could help? Thanks

    I can get the project loaded with its plug-ins crossed out no problems (via launching from Spotlight and having Logic auto-load its last project, rather than double-clicking on the project file in a Finder window). I'm a Logic novice, though (does it show?! ), and at the moment the only way I can find to bypass a plug-in is to access the view of that plug-in (translucent black window) by double-clicking on its entry in the channel strip and clicking on the 'Bypass' button therein. This window doesn't work for disabled plug-ins, though; is there another way? I'll RTFM one day, but it's > 1000 pages...! In the mean time, I just removed plug-in instruments entirely from tracks to narrow it down. I've got as far as it being Waldorf Attack that's at fault, but I don't know which instance yet.
    I would have assumed some sort of Logic preferences or actual project document corruption with the failures I was seeing and wouldn't have expected a plug-in to somehow end up corrupted, so your suggestion has been invaluable and I should be able to recover everything from here. I've no idea how to avoid this in future, as frequent saving didn't seem to be sufficient - a full history of the project files all crashed Logic today. Ho hum, I don't seem to have much luck with this Mac Pro really; shame as the laptop has been solid as a rock from the day it was bought.

  • Session Logout

    Hi;
       There are many users who have the habit of openning many session simply and keeping it ideal. I want to logoff those sessions which are not active for a particular time and not to logout the user.
        I have used the profile rdisp/gui_auto_logout but it logs out the user completely if the session is kept idle for set time. But this parameter does not logout any sessions if any one session of the user ,is active.
        So we need to logoff the idle session only as the user forgets to close the unused sessions.
    Pls help as there a more usage of the resource and this slows our system.
    regards

    This facility is still not there as of NW 7.1. But you can optimized this by planning in a different way.
    >     I have used the profile rdisp/gui_auto_logout but it logs out the user completely if the session is kept idle for set time. But this parameter does not logout any sessions if any one session of the user ,is active.
    As I already told that such facility is not provided yet, you can manage maximum number of sessions a user can open. You can change the maximum number of sessions can be opened by a user (which is 6 as default).
    >     So we need to logoff the idle session only as the user forgets to close the unused sessions.
    This is perfect. It has to be.
    >
    > Pls help as there a more usage of the resource and this slows our system.
    In this case, you need to understand the system usage as per Actions performed by the user. If the session is Idle then there is no data exchange with the Application Layer and thus the load for a idle session is negligible on system performance. Idle session doesn't hold any Work process and use the memory of Local machine (Presentation Layer).
    But, if the idle session is kept in update mode, i.e. session is left in change mode of a TCode then there will be impact on system performance. Update mode holds a Lock entry in the Lock table of Main Memory and thus will refuse any other user's request to go to change mode for the same data. This is also not acceptable as the user forgot to save/discard his work and kept the session in change mode which will prevent someone else to work. If we end that session only, the Lock Entry is not removed unless the user is logged off and the user context is thrown out.
    So it is a good practice to Log Off the user totally instead if ending a particular idle session.

  • How to disable  browser back button after session logout..

    Hi;
    I want to restrict the user to use the back button after session expired or logout. By doing the session expired we are restricting the user to do any new work but I want to restrict the user to see the back pages that he surfed previously in the session.
    Is there any method to disable the browser back button after the session Expired?
    please help me to find out the solution..
    Thanks in advance.
    With Regards,
    Haramohan

    One possible way is automatic return to the current page by writing the following Javascript code to the previous page:
    <script language=JavaScript>
    function backButtonOverride(){
    setTimeout("backButtonOverrideBody()", 1);
    function backButtonOverrideBody(){
    try {
    history.forward();
    } catch (e) {}
    setTimeout("backButtonOverrideBody()", 100);
    </script>
    <%
    catch(Exception e){
    %>
    <jsp:forward page="front.jsp"></jsp:forward>
    <%
    %>

  • High CPU useage when more than 30 sessions logout/login

    Hi guys,
    I got this problem for a long time.
    Environment : RAC 10.2.0.5 . Oracle enterprise linux 4.8. Java B2C application with dbcp and oc4j dirver.
    Server type:Dell R815. 48 cpus 128 G MEM for each node.
    Here's many of web application's connect to database and when one of them is down it will restart soon and try to connect to database again.Each one will try to get 50 connections concurrently in the first time.
    So , when it happens ,the cpu useage of sys% will grow to more than 70 ,80 ,90% every time.
    BTW, it also happens in more than 30 logout concurrently.
    Could any one tell me what's the problem is ?
    Thank you very much.

    The task of creating a connection and session has to be serialised, and if you start a number of logon or logoff attempts simultaneously you can end up with a storm of activity on the relevant latches that has serious knockon effects. I am a little surprised that you're seeing this with only 30 - 50 connections, but possibly you only have a couple of CPUs.
    I made some comments about this on another thread some time ago: Re: Overhead of having high value of processes (or sessions) init parameter
    It's possible that you can configure the application server to limit the rate at which it tries to create or terminate connection - e.g. there may be configuration settings to say things like: "create no more than 5 at a time", "wait one second between disconnections". (Oracle has introduced some parameters relating to logoff storms - but perhaps they don't work in your version).

  • LightDM: How to stop non-graphical applications on session logout?

    Hi all,
    I'm currently moving from XDM to LightDM and have a hard time figuring out how to clean up after myself when my session ends.
    Here's the problem:
    I start two non-graphical applications in ~/.xprofile
    offlineimap
    ssh-agent
    I want to cleanly kill these when my graphical session ends
    What would be the best way to achieve this?
    What I tried until now:
    Add ~/.xlogout which does the cleanup
    Create /etc/lightdm/Xsession-mine which calls /etc/lightdm/Xsession and then ~/.xlogout
    Modify /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf to use /etc/lightdm/Xsession-mine as session wrapper
    Result: ~/.xlogout doesn't seem to be called, probably due to exec in Xsession
    History:
    With XDM I would start my window manager in the foreground (without exec) in ~/.xinitrc and when it returns call my cleanup code.
    Thanks in advance for all help and suggestions!
    Timo

    Hi graysky,
    graysky wrote:Haven't used lightdm in a long time... does it have a PostLogout function similar to lxdm?
    https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Lxdm#Configuration
    it does have something alike:
    # session-cleanup-script = Script to run when quitting a user session (runs as root)
    However, as the documentation states, this script is run as root, so I can't clean up on a per-user basis (or can I?).
    Kind regards,

  • Blue screen while session iniciates

    hi, i got a problem with my macbook.
    when i turn on my mac is starts as normal, but when apple logo appears with little circle running on, a blue screen appears for four minutes and then appears the desk as normal. My mac is completly new and this is the first time that happens this. On past sessions never happen this. Can u help me?
    thanks

    Some one else may correct me, since I am a new user too, but the blue screen is a normal part of start-up, all Macs with OSX do this; however, four minutes seems like too much time to start up. My blue screen lasts five or ten seconds, then changes in shade a little, then the desk top appears. All this takes only about a minute at the most. Good Luck!

  • Can you add multipe Non-Rounded Markers while session is playing?

    It seems impossible to add makers on the fly that are not rounded. If you use the non-rounded marker quick key to create a marker you seem to have to de-select the marker in the marker list before you can make another one which makes it difficult to mark up a song as it flies by. The "create" button is great for adding multiple makers on the fly but even if I hold down shift/control it still puts the makers square on the beat while Logic is playing. Help?

    Try to set a keycommand for "Create marker without rounding", which must place the marker exactly on the place where you have hit it without any snapping.
