Studio Worksheets

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone had a studio worksheet which they use already that takes into account the various settings used in Logic etc... at the time of recording, and if you'd be willing/able to share it.
What I need, and I don't want to reinvent the wheel, is a sheet where I can write down all settings, mic placement, preamp settings etc... so I can re create a session setup if need be... so I guess I'm trying to be smart by being lazy and asking to see if someone can share
If not I'll go dig one somewhere, but thought the group here will likely have a stellar sheet to begin with.

ps. for now I've been taking pics (digital of course) of my preaps settings etc... hey it's like writing it down, just a pain to get to the data, easier to open a binder and read.

I haven't seen this for a while....
I am not an engeneer and I have no experience with programming on apple macs. I created a Filemaker pro project, which I can use as global project info.
It has something like Instrument-Channel strip view, where is a place for "Input" notes (which microphone was used or which guitar and which cabinet settings etc...). I have "slots" like insert slots for plugins, where I can store files (ehmmm-I am not sure that the version of Filemaker supported to store whichever file, but I can store pictures = snapshots of plugins...). when it comes to outboard, I made templates of my outboard gear in Omnigraffle pro and everytime I need to store settings of my outboard gear which has no internal memory, I save the Omni-graffle picture of it as PDF or JPEG , which I can save into "Insert" slot in my Filamaker-pro project.
The thing is, that Filemaker has possibility of different views, so I can view all my tracks in "tablet" mode - I can print it on A4 papers and place it in front of me. This was also one of my ideas - to print a paper "model" of my Logic mixer so I see everything in front of me with possibility to write down fast notes on the papers (usually 6 A4 papers covered my Logic mixer needs). It is all quite time-hungry, as if I work usually with 60 and more audiotracks and 10 or more AU Instruments, I have to enter the info about every track manually, SO I am not really using my Filemaker tracksheet template... Because for myself I am quite OK with possibility of taking notes into a Marker field and I found out my way how to mix so many tracks when so little graphic space available (even on two 19" monitors) - god! how I would like to have a large format mixing desk - as I am using Yamaha 01x which displays the track names on it's display and I found out that best way for me is to use Folder tracks and when I assign every Folder it's screenset, my orientation on 01x display is quite OK (sorry that this is quite off topic-but my goal was also to use the tracksheet as a visual-helper so I can focus to use my ears more than when still focusing my eyes on monitors...).
But finally I am sure I will use my quite not-so-really-timesaving method for creating tracksheets when I will need them ( while transferring project to another studio or etc...).

BTW, before I made my FilemakerPro Project-Sheet template, I started to take notes into Microsoft Excell and than I found another app that is probably better for it: Omni Outliner. Still it takes too much time, because you have to create another project (naming track in Logic means naming a field in whatever: Excell, OmniOutliner or Filemaker, renaming means also do it twice, etc...). But this OmniOutliner is really great cause it can store files inside it's fields (settings of plugins..., pictures, audio...).
I am really surprised there is no such application that would cover our needs.

  • Visual Studio report with tabs (Worksheets in Excel) broken up by a specific field?

    I am fairly experience with SQL, but am somewhat new to using Microsoft Visual Studio. However, it is very similar to other SQL programs I have used a lot before. I have Visual Studio 2008.
    For my company, I use Visual Studio in creating BIDS reports that are then uploaded to our Learning Management System (LMS). You can then run the reports within our LMS, and also export them to Excel.
    What I am trying to figure out is if you can set the report to create separate tabs (worksheets), broken up at a certain field, when exported to Excel.
    For example, say I have a report that displays all people and the trainings they have overdue. Say I want it to create a separate tab for every department. For example, one tab would say "Finance" and would be all the Finance people and the trainings
    they have overdue. One tab would say "HR" and would be all the HR people and the trainings they have overdue.
    The main report is already created, but currently just lists all data, sorted by department. It does have parameters so you can narrow it down to just a certain course or set of courses, just a certain department, etc. Does anybody know if this is possible?

  • Can no longer logon to EM DBA-Studio 8.1.7. with user SYSTEM

    Hello
    my 8.1.7 Enterprise Edition Database shows some "strange bahavior". I can no longer logon to Enterprise Manager Console with user system. (Message: This Application needs more privileges...) But the user system still has the same system privileges as before when it worked fine. So what could have gone wrong?
    The logon with user sys as sysdba still works.
    I can still logon with any user in SQL Worksheet and SQL Plus for instance.
    I have checked for any data loss......but all data still seems to be available. I checked for it with desc and select commands.
    BUT.....I can no longer post a "select * from cat"
    (Message: Table or view does not exist !)
    The database is in archivelog mode in case a recovery is necessary.
    Before the "crash" a normal user schema dump was exported without any problem. But that shouldn't have triggered off the problem!?
    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    PS: My user SYSTEM already has the DBA and the SELECT_CATALOG_ROLE but still is no longer able to logon in DBA-Studio!
    I assume it is a more serious problem since none of my users can still perform a "select * from cat" which should always be possible!

    Stopping the jrew process is what i do anyway, but that doesn't seem to be e very elegant way of working with DBA Studio. What is the reason for this behavior?

    I would use some help and more info about how to get host object that extends the functionality of my current Interop.Excel.Worksheet object. I read this artical: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee794671.aspx where I can call this function
    GetVstoObject to get host object. But I see that here I need to pass the Globals.Factory object as second parametar. Can someone give me more details about that parameter and how to access it? I would like to get host object so I can access extension
    property, since my interop excel worksheet doesn't have it.  
    I am using Visual Studio 2013 for developing Excel addin. Using Excel 2010.

    Sorry, I am not able to understand the application you were developing exactly. From the orgnal post, you were developing an application level add-in, however based on the description above, it seems that you were building an console or Windows form application
    to automate Office application.
    If you were developing Office automation, the host item can't work for this secnario since it should run under the VSTO runtime.
    If I misunderstood, please feel free to let me know.

  • VBA to pull from Financial Reporting Studio/Reporting and Analysis Framework

    Hi all,
    I just started using Financial Reporting Studio, and I did a lot of research online to try to answer the questions I have below but to no avail, so I'm hoping I can get answers from the experts here.
    1. I was wondering if it's possible to use SmartView VBA to pull a report from the "Reporting and Analysis Framework" onto Excel? If yes, how?
    2. When I tried to pull lots of data from "Reporting and Analysis Framework" onto Excel using SmartView, it keeps getting the error message "New report failed to insert properly". Is there a way around this? Essentially, what I'm trying to do is pull the Expense data (Actuals, Budget, Forecast) from year 2011 to 2015 (by month) for every department (with each department being on its own worksheet using the split feature). If I reduce the number of departments or columns, it'll work, but when I try to keep everything, it fails.

    There is VBA manual for smartiview application however I am not sure that you will be able to automate the retrieve of a report.

  • Msreport Excel Worksheet Titl

    I am using Visual Studio 2010 to generate my RDLC report file.
    I want to give each page a name so the worksheet export in excel uses the same names.
    I fount this page with an example:

    But when I take a look in my property window I dont see the 'PageName' property. I see the following properties in the 'group' section:

    Does somebody know why i dont have that property field? I am using the 11.0 version of msreport

    PageName is available since SSRS 2008R2 RDL reports, see
    Using Built-in Globals and Users References (Report Builder 3.0 and SSRS); you are using
    RDLC and I don't know the Version you are using.

  • Studio 12.1 Performace Analyzer 7.7 problem, with 'er_print' utility.

    I am having a minor but nagging problem with a regression in the ‘er_print’ utility of the Sun Performance Analyzer suite bundled in Studio 12. is there maybe a patch available or in the works?
    I have not had any success in finding a resolution by searching the open literature…
    The issue is that the ‘callers-callees’ listing only dumps functions in alphabetical order, ignoring the sort order specified by ‘sort’. This is a regression from the Performance Analyzer (7.4) behavior from Sun Studio 10. We only recently jumped to studio 12.1.
    This functionality is documented here: http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/821-0304/afaid?a=view (as well as many other references). To quote:
    “callers-callees
    Print the callers-callees panel for each of the functions, in the order specified by the function sort metric (sort)."

    Nik, thanks for taking a look. We can't go to 12.2 because we're a software developer and we'll lose our binary compatibility with the release we've been building for the last few months. I'm a systems guy and will paste in a developer's example below.
    Note Marc's url shows a 12.1 Performance Analyzer patch 142369-01 we have not yet installed. The patch notice description doesn't show much. I'll pass on patch info to remote user/developer.
    Developer example:
    I use a script input to er_print that in the past analyzed the top ‘N’ functions sorted on inclusive thread time. Now I have to be sure to dump ALL functions and need a third-party search tool to find that information in the resulting report.

  • How to add a new server (as shown with "server name" in management studio) and how to delete the old one?

    I am using SQL Express 2008 R2. I have two servers ".\robbysqlexpress" and ".\sqlexpress". The ".\sqlexpress" server is not working. It gives error whenever I try to connect:
    "Cannot connect to (local)\SQLEXPRESS.
    A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections.

    So I want to delete this server and create a server with the same name again. So could you tell me how to do that?

    Can you check that instance of server exists. deleting and recreating will not help you.
    It is really a generic error(and hope your sql server instance exits -> http://community.shavlik.com/docs/DOC-23089).

    Unfortunately, it does not appear to be possible (or at least practical) to only remove certain items.
    However, if you want, you can reset the configuration and start from scratch.
    Make sure Management Studio is closed, then delete or rename this file:
    %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Tools\Shell\SqlStudio.bin

    I was looking in the references formulas and I find the formula "Direcction".
    My goal it´s to create a new worksheet everytime that some cells are filled.

    Hi Wayne, Not really, the smaller table it´s not really important, I was trying to do the new sheet with it in that case.
    What I want is to use the dates in the row with the items markeds to create a new worksheet.
    I made an example donw here.
    I have the first table, than from it, I want to do 4 new tables
    I mean, everytime that I finish with one column I want to have a new table (in a new work sheet) with that items markeds.
    Do you think that script it´s possible to solve this?
    How can I do it?

    Without going into any technical discussion about the code, my first question is what JDK version was used to create this which was imported into the form? Understand that Forms 10 runs on JDK 1.4.2, so if you used any newer JDK version, likely there will be problems.

    I am getting one Error while Creating Enterprise Link Plan in Design Studio of BAM and Failed to Create the Plan.

    Setup:
    Integration between Oracle EBS 11.5.10 and Oracle BAM 10.1.3.
    I am trying to get the Raw Data and sending over to the Enterprise Link Plan.
    1. Created bam_ttq AQ and bam_ttq_tab.
    2. Configured all of the startup parameters required for Enterprise Message Source Type (Oracle (AS JMS and OJMS)) in the Administrator of BAM.
    3. Configured the Oracle (AS JMS and OJMS) with the following values in the Enterprise Message Sources in the Architect of BAM.
    Initial Context Factory : com.evermind.server.rmi.RMIInitialContextFactory.
    JNDI Service Provider URL : opmn:ormi://inaportal.inatech.com:6004:home.
    TopicConnectionFactory Name : java:comp/resource/BAMTTT/TopicConnectionFactories/bam_ttq_tab.
    Topic Name : java:comp/resource/BAMTTT/Topics/bam_ttq.
    JMS Message Type : Text Message.
    Durable Subscriber Name (Optional) : Bamclient.

  • Error after creating a new dimension in dev studio

    Hi,
    I have set up ATG 10.1.2 along Endeca 3.1.1
    For the CRS application the cartridges are shown properly.
    But once I create an autogen dimension from dev studio and run the baseline the navigation cartridges disappear giving the below mentioned error.

    I have also put the --back_compat flag as 640 but even then getting the same error.
