SU01 Email maintenance

Whenever we maintain email id in SU01 for a user, whlile maintaining the condition records in VV13 it
checks the email id and if this email id also exists in SU01, it takes the Format (which is
in SU01) and displays it in the condition record.
When the output is triggered, it didn't find the recipient address and
thus ends in failed status.
We are using this for the Partner Fucntuion ZP and Transmission Medium 7 in the configuration.
We have to maintain the user email in su01, it is must we can't remove it .
As per the analysis done , the z program has been written which contains the FM "SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1" WHICH is used to send emails.Previously we were not able to get the Recepient so we have written a function module "LWE_GET_EMAIL" which takes the userid from su01 and convert it into the respective email maintain in the su01 for that particular user. But still when we trigger the output type the user is not getting the acknowledgmentvia email. As a temporary solution
Hence on a temporary basis we have removed  the email id from SU01 and and it is working fine.
But we want to have a permanent solution where we can send acknowledgment to user while maintaining the email in su01 too.
The another observation was we have taken nametext from v_usr_addr and the passed this in adr7, taking addressnumber and person number from adr7 we have putted it in adr6.Where we were getting email in smtp_search field
There is one view as v_usr_name from where we can take the name of user, convert it to get the userid and after thatuse this userid and pass this to FM ""LWE_GET_EMAIL" TO GET THE EMAIL.
Can any body suggest us the solution ASAP.
With regards
Sangeeta

  • BADi for saving email addressin SU01

    Hi all
I have enhanced the PA0006 with email address field
and now need to update this email address to su01, when ever user changes his work email address in transaction  PA30 infotype 0006 it should get saved in PA0006 and  then check with  the email address in SU01 transaction if there is any difference ...update the new email address to  SU01 email address field
    thanks in advance
    regards
    SAM

You can use the AFTER_INPUT or IN_UPDATE methods in the BAdI HRPAD00INFTY .
Just curious about the reason for not using Infotype 0105 to meet your requirement..

  • Email Alerts Not Coming Through

    HI,
We have alerts set up in our test system and the alerts are making it to the Alert Inbox for the user we set up in AlrtCatDef. In SU01 (User Maintenance) we set an email address for the user. No emails are coming through.
We have contacted our Basis team they said everything should be set up, are we missing anything?
    Cheers

  • How to activate GOS (Generic Object Services) in Transaction SU01?

    Dear All,
We want (for documentation reason) activate GOS (Generic Object Services) within Transaction SU01 (User Maintenance).
I looked already around for Setup Guidelines, but did not find anything.
Has anybody already acitivated GOS within SU01 and would explain this?

    Hi Vamshi,
SD_SWU_ACTIVE is the parameter, but it is not for SU01, it is VA02 and VA03 only.

  • Incoming email - Routing rules on exchange server 2003

I am configuring SAP system to receive emails as per note 455140. We currently have only one client and have updated necessary profile parameters including setting SMTP port to 25 for incoming mails. We have specified our enterprise exchange server 2003 as the mail server in SCOT transaction and are able to send out emails from SAP without issues, but cannot receive emails in SAP.
Following note 607108, I am able to receive emails in the SAP system using telnet test (by passing mail server), thereby I believe all relevant configuration settings in SAP system have been correctly maintained. Now, if I try to send an email to SAP user from another SAP system or Microsoft Outlook or Internet, these emails are not being received in SAP. No inbound traces are generated in SAP since the mail has not been received by SAP.
As part of the config, our server admins have set up a rule on mail server to forward specific emails to SAP system. Does anyone have any insight into what might be the issue here? Also, if someone can provide links/directions on how to setup routing rules on exchange server 2003 to forward specific requests to SAP system (I believe this is where our issue is).
    Thanks!
    Fahad

    Hello Markus,
By specific, I meant emails addressed to specific users need to be forwarded to SAP. Instead of specifying *ATcompany.com --> WebASHost:25000, we put in a rule userATcompany.com --> WebASHost:25000
Based on your response, I asked SAP support whether there is such restriction when SU01 email address and exchange email address are same, exchange will not forward to SAP. Below is there response
"SAPconnect like most mail platforms route mails via the email address.
    SAP recommends the following:-
    UserATClient.SID.company.com
I know that a DNS entry will have to be written for this to be routed
to your Exchange server for relay into SAP.
The only other recommendation is to use the local part of the mail
address to route the mails. This will not require an external DNS
entry but every new user will have to be updated in Exchange.
    User.client.sidATcompany.com
There are no other way of correctly routing mails other than these
    methods. Thank you."
Now SAP says when email addresses are same and if we put in a rule based on local part of the mail, it should still forward.
Since the issue is through exchange, SAP will not provide further support to resolve this and we cannot go with sub-domains currently due to business requirements.
    Any suggestions.
    Thanks,
    Fahad

  • Not receiving alert emails

    Hi,
I have created an alert catagory and using it for SAP and PI errors. The alert catagory is working fine.
I am able to receive the alert mails for SAP in the mail id maintained in SU01(Email option is selected their).
My id is maintained in SCOT as well.
I am not able to receive the alert mail for PI errors, in my email (maintained in SU01).
I am receiving the mail in alert inbox for PI errors.
I can see the alert log in "Alrtdisp" and "sxmxalrt_logreader"
I ran the RSALRTTEST report and received the alert email.
But when I am trying to fail an interface from RWB and test, I receive email only in my alrt inbox, not email.
Note: I am not able to see the mails in SOST
    Please help!!!

  • Report / FM-To create/update email address from Personal detail infotype105

    Hi All
Any standard report or FM is available to update the SU01 email id by using personal details PA30 infotype 105 email ID.
    Regards
    K.Gunasekar

    Hi,
The FM BAPI_USER_CHANGE can be used to change the email id in SU01.
If you are looking for a method to bulk upload email address of users in SU01, you can write a BDC or LSMW to do the same. You can even write a custom FM using the FM BAPI_USER_CHANGE for bulk upload of email id in SU01.
    Regards,
    Shayeree.

  • Email Back to User

    Hello Experts,
I configured successfully for send PO through email.
Issue is user wants a copy of the email get back to his ID. I checked SU01 email ID already there, but he is not getting a copy of the PO which he sent to vendor.
Please help me to solve this
    Thanks
    John K

    Hi,
Goto Tcode SCOT, here goto node SMTP > INT, goto main menu GOTO>Addressarea-->create
    -->give required email address here.
Also in SU01 maintain the email address for that user.
Now try sending. You can find now in SOST.

  • Email address through OCI

    Hi Experts,
    SRM 5
    Classic scenario with Punchout Catalog
    OCI 3.0
We have set up the OCI standard call structure and are able to pass the "UniqueName" parameter. The value of the parameter is "SY-UNAME" and is of type SAP Field
Due to this when the user punches out to the external catalog the SU01 user id is displayed on the catalog site.
We  are also passing the "EmailAddress" parameter. The value of this parameter is a fixed email address and the type is "Fixed Value".
We want the email address to be picked up from the SU01 email address detail.
Earlier posts suggest of using the BBP_CAT_CALL_ENRICH BADI.
Is there any a standard parameter value which selects the EmailAddress parameter from SU01 say for eg "SY-EMAIL" ? This will avoid implementation of a BADI and will be a standard approach.
    Thanks for inputs.
    Best Regards,
    Amish

    Hi,
OCI is just catalog item transfer interface and not PO. No SC number or PO number is transfered to supplier via OCI.
Supplier does not know if SC will be ordered or not. And there is no clear document number for further communication.
If you send PO via XML, I think email address is in XML. Supplier can communicate with requestor based on the PO number.
If you still need to pass email address in OCI, please implement the BADI. It won't be take more than 2H.
Go to SE18 and display BBP_CAT_CALL_ENRICH. Find sample implementation BBP_BUSINESSCARDS and copy.
Delete or comment out unnessesaly codes from sample BADI implementation.
    Regards,
    Masa

  • How can I change the password for the USER in SAP.

How can I change the password for the USER in SAP?
also I want to change the Language and  date Format b/c it's displaying in German language..

    Hi,
Assuming that User has already his/her user-id and password, and now he/ she wants to change it.
select the client and provide Log-in credentials. Now, instead of 'ENTER' there is one Tab: 'New Password' (up, left hand). Click it.
Now, system will ask for new password to change.
If you are asking from Basis point of view, then T.code: SU01 - User Maintenance.
Enter User's id and Click Change icon.
It will lead to Page: Maintain User.
    Here, Select tab: Logon Data
    There is a Sub-Tab: Password.
Here, key-in change password and SAVE.
For Language and Date format, contact your Basis-Personnel.

  • Throw netgear out the window?  can't audio chat.

    hi,
I have received the 'unsufficient bandwidth' and 'user not reponding' responses for months now. i just can't audio chat - haven't been able to for months!!! (but i can text chat)
I WAS able to audio chat when i first got my mac (it was brilliant!), then about a week later - gone - won't work. i haven't been able to get it to work since.
when i take my powerbook to my friends house, and connect wirelessly to her d-link modem, then yes - i can audio chat with her. no problems.
but when i come back to my place - it doesn't work. (i'm connected wirelessly to a Netgear DG834G v2 router/modem - a PC is connected directly via ethernet.)
I have spent COUNTLESS hours on help lines to mac, netgear, my service providers. i've even upgraded my broadband service. i am completely and utterly at my wits end.
today i spent more hours trying to fix it again. i updated my firmware. then i turned off the UPnP, and the netgear guy told me to go in to Firewall Rules and have my mac IP address directly accepted (port forwarding?)....still hasn't fixed the problem.
my firewall is off. the PCs firewall is off - as is the PCs norton antivirus.
what else can i do to get this thing working - other than throw the
netgear out the window and buy another brand?
any advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Lily

    Dear Ed
Thank you so much for taking the time to post advice for my problem. Unfortunately in my Netgear SmartWizard options I do not have a Port Forwarding or Port Triggering option.
    I have the following:
Setup - basic settings, adsl settings, wireless settings
Security - logs, block sites, firewall rules, services, schedule, email
Maintenance - router status, attached devices, backup settings, set password, diagnostics, router upgrade
Advanced - WAN setup, Dynamic DNS, LAN IP Setup, Remote Management, Static Routes, UPnP
Advanced - VPN - VPN wizard, VPN Policies, VPN status
I looked around for anything resembling what you mentioned and found in Services (under Security) i can add a Custom Service...
...i was able to add iChat 1 and iChat 2 and put the ports (but not my server address - it is set up in Firewall Rules). i chose TCP/UDP for both.
I also added AIM as TCP/UDP. [when i tried to add it as TCP it said "Service Port number was defined by another service" so i was forced to choose TCP.]
unfortunately this has not helped. This is probably way too much info for you, as your settings aren't like mine. but am hoping either you or someone may have an idea of what else i could do.
regardless, thanks so much for your help.
