Subclassing via XML: IFS-30002
Hi,
I have a problem subclassing via XML files:
After having created a new class, and deleted it (with iFS Manager), I can't reload an other class with the same name (IFS-30002:Unable to create new LibraryObject)
thanks,
Xavier
I did my subclassing through the Web interface, so I can't catch the exception.
But JWS gives some info:

Since the corresponding bean has to be deployed afterward, it must not have any influence...

Another Post concerning Error IFS-30002
If I try to Upload a XML file containing the Attribute declaration below:
<Attribute>
<Name>FunctionalityImplementedFixed</Name>
<DataType>String</DataType>
<DataLength>512</DataLength>
</Attribute>
I get the Error IFS-30002.
Can someone tell me whats wrong with this declaration. If I comment it, all works fine!
Are there any Restrictions for the Length of the Attribute Name?
nullReproduced the Problem. It is much easier to debug problems when we have the full stack trace.
Eg in your case....
Loading the following Type Definition
<CLASSOBJECT>
<NAME>TEST_OBJECT_01</NAME>
<SUPERCLASS REFTYPE="NAME">DOCUMENT</SUPERCLASS>
<ATTRIBUTES>
<Attribute>
<Name>FunctionalityImplementedFixed</Name>
<DataType>String</DataType>
<DataLength>512</DataLength>
</Attribute>
</ATTRIBUTES>
</CLASSOBJECT>
causes the following error.

I was able to get this information by using SMB / NT File System Driver to load the XML File. When an XML file fails to load under SMB the entire Verbose Stack Trace is dumped into a 'log' file in the same location as the XML was placed.
In this case changing the Type File so that the DatabaseObjectName tag is used to provide a valid column name fixed the problem. -
How to Export an Order Via XML
How can we "Export an Order Via XML" using OOTB classes as mentioned in ATG Commerce Programming Guide?

Error when trying to run an FSG Report via XML Publisher...
hello.
Hope someone can help.
This is our first look into the benefits of XML Publisher in order convince Manager to start using it. Thing is, we really need to get both FSG reports and Dunning Letters working.
We've currently got XML Publisher 5.0.0 and BI Publisher Template Builder for Word v10.1.3.2.0
First up, FSG reports. Having followed this link here:
http://solutionbeacon.blogspot.com/2007/07/simple-tutorial-for-publishing-fsg.html
Ive managed to create a template based upon the basic FSG template supplied. I’ve follwed easy steps but on submitting the request against ANY [its what the notes said] FSG report the error messages from both the log and output files are given.. Those being..
Output file displayed the most productive error message:
DECLARE
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-06550: line 133, column 8:
PLS-00306: wrong number or types of arguments in call to 'SUBMIT_XML_REQUEST'
ORA-06550: line 133, column 5:
PL/SQL: Statement ignored
Can anyone help please? Or perhaps suggest an alternative to running FSG reports through XML Publisher.
Other thought was, do I need any different versions and/or Publisher Enterprise installing?
Many thanks for reading this..
Steven..having tried an alternative presentation I got a singular FSG report to generate in PDF via XML Publisher..

Pasta Landscape Printing via XML Publisher
Hi ,
I have followed Pasta Config Guide 3.0 .
We're on 11.5.10 and Purchase Orders Report(Both Landscape and Portrait are configured - two separate "reports") via XML Publisher comes out fine in PDF in Portrait and Landscape when viewing the PDF , but when I set the conncurrent request to print to a printed , the Portrait report prints Portrait , but the Landscape report prints on Portrait. (Im missing the whole right hand side of the data)..
Any ideas?
Cheers
StephenHi ,
Sorry , should have replied earlier...
I actually turned off the ps2pdf in the config files and the PDF printed direct perfectly both Landscape and Portrait.
I had followed the Past Config Guide to the tee which was the pain !!
Cheers

PO via XML in R/3 or ECC 6.0
Dear Friends,
Did anyone establish the functionality of sending Purchase Orders via XML in R/3 or ECC 6.0 (there is no SRM existing). I knew that in SRM there is a default functionality existing, but want to know how can the same approach be achieved from R/3 Enterprise version or ECC 6.0.
Kindly advise me with your inputs on how can this be achieved.
Appreciate your valuable inputs.
Kind Regards,
KPHi,

Importing via xml deletes already populated fields???
Hey all
Im kind of new to this, so any help would be great.
I've created some forms that have similar named fields but some fields are named differently, If I fill in one form and export data as xml and then import this data into another form that has has a few textfields/numericfields already containing data, the imported data imports fine, but the the fields containing data previously, which have totally different field names are wiped?
Anybody have any ideas at all? All information would be superb.
LeeIn PL 36 I had a very bad problem trying to create the invoice from draft (via XML). This was caused by the CogsAcct field. When I stripped it from the xml then it worked...

Select data from database via XML
I want to select data for display and insert data to tables via XML, and I want
to do this from a browser.
I am using "Oracle8i Enterprise Edition Release 8.1.7.4.0" on HP-UX server
with "JServer Release 8.1.7.4.0.".
The oracle documentation says I need the following in order to do this.
1. XML-SQL Utility
2. XML Parser for Java, V2
3. JDBC driver
4. JDK
5. A Java compliant web server
6. XSL Servlet
How do I verify, if the above software list is available in my environment.
What are all available within the database and what are other software I need to
install.
Thanks
PushparajIt's a classpath problem. Either you mistyped the class name, or you don't have the class in your classpath. I think Oracle's drivers come in db12.zip or db12.jar or some such. Whatever that jar or zip file is, it has to be in your classpath, but it's not.
Or it is in your classpath, but you're in an appserver context where the classloader that the container provides for your app uses something other than the classpath variable. For instance, in tomcat, the jar file would be uder webapps/yourApplication/WEB-INF/lib I think. -
Print AP check (MICR) via XML Publisher
I will print AP check via XML Publisher 5.5. Our database is running on Linux.
I installed MICR FONT from Elfrin to my laptop so that I can create template on my laptop.
Should I install MICR font from the same company (Elfrin) onto database server? Or I can use the MICR font from any other company. What is the suggested MICR font (from which company) I should install on Linux?
Anyone has experience installing MICR on Linux? Any installation doc I can download?
Thanks.Hi,
I am using Elfring fonts with XMLP 5.6. Since this is a truetype font, you can use it on the server as well. Please refer to the XML Publisher manual for details on how to install a font using XML Publisher Administrator responsibility. -
Sending MATMAS05 IDOC via XML-HTTP Interface (without XI)
Dear all,
I have to send the MATMAS05 IDOC via XML-SOAP-HTTP Interface to a subsystem. Sending works (the sub-system receives the SOAP-Request with the MATMAS05 as Body). So far so good. Now the SAP System is waiting for an answer (synchronous communication). How should this answer look like?
We receive the Error EA390 "Problem with SOAP Class" - execute_processing: entry result table
Can anybody give me a hint how the response should look like.
Many thanks and best regards
RomanHello Sven,
we find a solution. As far as I remember, there is a flag to send without waiting for answer (or technical better to not rely on SOAP standard).
Look in WE21 and the XML_HTTP Port you use. Uncheck the "SOAP Protocol" flag. Then it should work.
HTH and Best regards

The problem is that when i try to upload a file from a client into the iFS usign both de WebUI and the WindowsUI iFS throws an exception:
iFS-30002: Unable to create NewLibraryObject
After that one, an other error is displayed:
java.lang.exception: No path specified
Thanks for your help
nullWhen you receive this error, what messages are generated in the log files?
You can locate the log files on the host machine running Oracle iFS in the directory $ORACLE_HOME/ifs/log.

Adding attachment via XML calls
I am trying to associate an attachment to a punch list item via XML in C#. Whenever I try to insert an Attachment object, I am getting a generic 'Error' message back. The XML is properly formed and I am populating it with values in the same locations as a file attached via the Contract Management interface. The code to insert the punch list item works fine and it appears in the CM interface. Does anyone have any experience with this scenario? Note: I am uploading the physical file separately.
Here is an example of one that worked here. A couple comments on yours. I did not see a Base_sys_item_type in your code. Which I believe is required for this table. Usually whan I have a question about what data I need to send I'll add a record manually then duplicate what I see in the table. Another thing you should know is that the API will not receive actual files. All it currently does is create links. Files still need to be placed in the correct location. I do that here using some code that copies the files to the correct location when we load in bulk.
We are using CM on some huge projects. I have used the API to integrate and to add/delete/update hundreds of thousands of records. Each module seems to be slightly different, so be wary and always test if/how the API works. Each type can have it's own unique list of required fields etc..

Getting info on objects loaded via xml
Hello:
i am a beginner/intermediate as3 coder, and i am stuck on
something related to objects loaded via XML.
i am able to load JPEG images onto a simulated "shelf", but i
am trying to arrange them on the shelf (like a store shelf) so that
each new item is placed directly next to the previous item as they
load. i can get it to work on a very basic level by specifying the
spacing between items manually betwen the code, but to makre this
reuseable and efficient, the ideal is to have the "next" object
loaded be placed on the shelf based on the width of the previous
object. but when i try to access the width of the object that is
loaded via the imageLoader, i can;t find it. if i trace the image
loader wifth, it is 0; i have tried several ways to name the object
as it loads and then get/save its dimensions somehow, but i am not
having any luck. i use all the Lynda titles and i also use some of
the better books, but i just can;t seem to solve this.
any hellp would be appreciated.
thank you.Thak you for this -- it did help somewhat, but i am still
stuck.
When i use the contentLoaderInfo listener, you are right, i
can discern the width of the loader. but when i do this it only
works for the last item loaded. here is my problem -- i am trying
to load graphics dynamically, and have each graphic go to it's
proper "place" on a simulated shelf -- so the foirst object might
go to (0,0), then next object should go directly to the right of
the first object, etc, etc. and i am loading all this dynamically
from an xml file. if i just specify a distance, then i can get
everything to load at uniform distances from each other. problem is
each of the graphics has a unique width, height, etc, so i need to
be able to "catch and capture" this info as each one is loaded.
when i wait until the entire loader has loaded, the only
peopoerties left for me to capture and use are the propoerties of
the last itm loaded.
any ideas on how to do this -- anyone?
thanks very much, i just can't seem to figure this out. -
Hypertext link from image loaded via xml
I thought this would be easy but for some reason it's not
working.
What I want to accomplish:
Make an image loaded into my textArea via XML a link. I
thought I could do something like this:
<a href='
http://www.mysite.com"><img
src="myImage.jpg"/></a>
Simple enough you'd think but the image appears but with no
hypertext link capabilities. :(
Any thoughts? Wisdom?
Thanks.Hi Marghoob,
Thanks for your reply. Turns out it is a bug with the Flash 7
player. The code works fine in the Flash 8 and 9 player. I guess
this was a reminder that I should look for the simple things first.

Hi, I am currently having trouble with my swf file inserted in adobe presenter 9. I'm trying to load the sound via XML and it plays on the first frame when it's completed. Now, the sound of SWF is heard on other slides after the SWF slide. It looks like it will going to load again the swf file even when I am not in the swf slide. Anyone could help me with this issue? Thanks.
