Submitting form with multiple records.

Can any one help me how to implement following functionality.
I have page flow portlet which renders list of 10 records. I need to display record name, record number and one check box for every record. User can select some of the records and add those to one group. I am able to disply the list successfuly by using <netui:repeater> tag. Problem is coming when i select some of the records and click on submit. It is not updating coresponding form bean. My form bean is as following.

recordlist contains list of RecordBean. RecordBean class having two properties record name , record number , isSelected (boolean) and coresponding setters and getters.
When i try to submit the form i am getting errors something like unable to edit actionForm.recordList[0].isSelected value for all records.
Can anyone help me why i am getting this? and let me know if you know best practise method to implemet this.

I saw one weird issue with WLP 10.3. I have a form bean with one instance variable named as "iClassCard". I have setters and getters. In JSP I use this form object. When I put a netui:text field and assing the datasource value, when I type actionForm. it shows the list of all instance variables. Weird thing is it shows my instance varialbe with uppercase "i" like IClassCard instead of "iClassCard". If I forcefully change this to like datasource=actionForm.iClassCard, it shows yellow line waring saying variable not defined. To fix this I just changed my instance variable in form bean to uppercase like IClassCard. Or worstcase just do not use "i" as the beginning character for any instance variable. So give a try renaming the variable isSelected on your side and see if this works.
Coming to your usecase you can use List type and netui-data:repeater tag. Make sure that incase if you use netui:anchor tags to sumbit the form ations, please do add formSubmit="true" something like <netui:Anchor formSubmit="true" action="yourActionName" ...>. If you do not set formSubmit = "true", the List will not be updated with the user entered values when you view on pageflow side in that submit action method.

Has anyone done this yet? What is the approach to change an infotype with multiple records using P&F; For example IT0021, Subtype 2 (Child). I'm assuming that we will need to display all the records in a tbale first in the Form. Then, create a button or radio button for each row. On click, we can then make changes to the record. Welcome to the forum. You can loop through the records like following.
go_block('A');
First_Record;
Loop
variable := :A.Item_Name;
Exit when :System.Last_Record = 'TRUE';
Next_Record;
End Loop;But what happens when u run the above code, the variable will have the last record's item value.
So how you are trying to get all the record's Item value into one item?
Are you going to concatenate? What's the logic you are planning?

Select max date from a table with multiple records

I need help writing an SQL to select max date from a table with multiple records.
Here's the scenario. There are multiple SA_IDs repeated with various EFFDT (dates). I want to retrieve the most recent effective date so that the SA_ID is unique. Looks simple, but I can't figure this out. Please help.

Submitting form with attachments.

Hi,
I have a simple need. I am stucked in it. What i need to do is:
Step 1: User1 starts opens a pdf form inside LC Workspace, fill it, attach files (Reader Extended) and then submit it.
Step 2: User2 receives the filled form with attcachments. Can view attachments and save them in repository.
I am stucked at step 1. User is able to fill the form, add attachments but can't submit it. If I am not enabling the Reader Extensions for attachments (Disabling functionality to attach files) then it works fine. But when using with attachments option, it fails. It gives no error, no message and does not passed to the 2nd user.
Is there any special requirement in developing such process/form ??
Please help me out on it.

1. Misfeature: Submitting with Enter works ONLY if there is exactly one text field in the form (no submit button is actually needed), as Brian Stoler wrote. I don't understand reason for this.
2. Bug: UIX generates javascript function "_submitOnEnter" which is called as event handler for "onKeyPress" event. But this function is erroneously generated multiple times, once for each form in the page. Browsers (Mozilla and IE) use the latest implementation. This function is different for forms with one text field and for forms with more text field, but only the first one can do the job. As a consequence of this, Enter can submit the form only if the last form on a page has single text field (which is for example not the case of search form with single field above another form...)
Tested with UIX 2.1.7 in JDeveloper 9.0.3.3, using UIX as JSP tag library.
Workaround:
1. Use Opera browser: it submits form with enter key even if there is no submit button (this does not work for the first text field in the form, because it has "onkeypress" event handler).
2. Implement this feature by hand yourself, if you really need it (see below).
3. Use accessKey: allows to submit form with Alt+<key> combination (followed by Enter with IE).

in standard html form, when you have form with submit button, the enter key when any form element is selected submits the form.
This is very convenient for users, so I want this with UIX forms. I know it is possible (I have one form where it is working), but I can't get it working anywhere else.
This code works:

I have created a PDF form with multiple drop downs, all with the same drop down values. When I select a value from 1 of the drop down fields, it replicates in all of the others - which I do not want. How can I fix this?

I'm fairly new to this, but I think it has to do with the way you have the drop downs named. Did you copy one then keep pasting it in each field? If so, that is the problem. You should rename each one with a different number: Dropdown1, Dropdown2, etc. I think that might solve the issue.

now I want to create a record store with three records in it for each i.e. SecA, SecB, SecC. So that I can retrieve them easily using enumerateRecord.

I'd not use multiple records for this case. Managing more records needs more and redundant effort.
Just use single record. Create ByteArrayOutputStream->DataOutputStream and put multiple strings via writeUTF() (plus any other data like number of records at the beginning...), then save the byte array to the record...
It's easier, it's faster (runtime), it's better manageable...

Is it possible to create a form with multiple form fields on a single line? I can't find anything in the documentation or a template that does this.
I am trying to create a "documents received" checklist with a check box on the left margin, a date-received field to the right of the check box and and a description of the document (Formatted Text) on the far right.
In the past I have entered the Fixed Text with a word processor, published it to a PDF file, then added the check box and date fields with the Acrobat Forms editor. I would prefer to use FormsCentral if it is possible.

We now support multiple fields on one line. This post provides a brief overview.

I am no Apex expert, but with a situation as "complex" as yours, have you thought about creating a VIEW that joins these 7/8 tables, placing an INSTEAD OF trigger on that view to do all the business logic in the database, and base your application on the view?

Rearrange pages when printing adobe form with multiple master pages

Good day to you all.
I have an issue in regards with printing my adobe form with multiple Master pages. I have 4 master pages:
1st master page: a
2nd master page: b
3rd master page: c
4th master page: d
all with different headers and footers all having the same contents (items). I don't have issue with one page content (it just prints 4 pages with different headers and footers). The issue comes out once the items exceed 1 page.
What happens is that the preview/print shows (example: 3-page item)
a1-a2-a3-b1-b2-b3-c1-c2-c3-d1-d2-d3.
What i need is to print these such that all 1st pages of the 4 master page to be printed first, then all the 2nd pages, then all 3rd pages. Please see below:
a1-b1-c1-d1-a2-b2-c2-d2-a3-b3-c3-d3
This is because we will be using carbonless copy paper during printing and it's possible that it would be printed on batch jobs. Please suggest ways to do this.

Can you have a Print button on this screen or you should be using the Abobe toolbar's Print button..?
Well if this on a click of a button in the form and the requirement is only at the time of print and not on print prieview I can have a JS script which does this...
Let me know if this suffice, I can try with a local file and send you the script.

File to RFC with multiple records using BPM Scenario Error...!!!

I have done the File to RFC with multiple records using BPM scenario as per the Materiel available in the sdn.sap. This involves BAPI (BAPI_MATERIEL_AVAILABILITY). I have done exactly the same what is their in the materiel. SXI_CACHE is also giving return value " 0 ". File is getting deleted from the source directory, but no file in target directory. SXMB_MONI is also showing no error (black Flag). BPM is also error free. Checked the interfaces also.
Can any one tell me what mistake would i have done.

Best Solution for Creating an Onlne Purchase order form with multiple calculation fields

I am a bit confused. Our school has a Forms Central account which works great for our registration forms but I need to find a solution for creating an online purchase form with multiple calculation fields - I know that forms central does not support calculation fields (too bad) but I know that Acrobat Pro does... soooo...
Can you create the forms in Acrobat and then somehow integrate the advanced features into forms central? Do they talk to each other? Is this easy to do? .... I guess another way to putting it is can you create the forms in Acrobat including all of the advanced features for payment calculation and then host it online using Forms Central to manage and collect the data? (I guess that really is my question)

The naming convention was the consistant up until a point when I read that you need a '.' syntax (?!) - does anyone know if this is true?
Attached is a version with Bernd Alheit's suggestion and with all the naming of the fields being consistant. It's still not working for me though after doing this and I'm stuck as to why, because I think it should work. I've also tried writing the calcualting line of code in the same manner that Bernd Alheit suggests before I came on here, and it wouldn't work then.
As with any coding, it must be something to which I have done, but I can't see it anywhere

Alternatively, if you want to place only the static labels, you can convert all the static label in one language to images and set the form language setting to other. And place the images inside the form using Image field. For example, you can keep the form language as English and then convert all the arabic language labels/ Static text to images.
Anotherway,
Have same sections in both the languages and hide and unhide based on the user selection of the language..
if your user chooses Arabic, then you can unhide the Arabic sections and change the form language properties programmatically..

How to isolate error with a record/segment in IDOC with multiple records

I have an IDOC with multiple records/segments (typically 1000 records/segments). Sometime XI can not process the IDOC because of some control characters in data.
1. How can I pre-processed the IDOC to remove those control characters?
Can I use XPATH expression/Java class to do it? How can I configure the XPATH expression/Java class in XI to pre-process the file?
2. Until I have answer to 1st question. I would like to find out the error is exactly for which record? What configuration can I do in XI to isolate the error is with which record/segment in IDOC?

Split the IDoc.
with in the UDF, after the validations if every thing fine, pass as successful records to success_MT and pass it to target system using Branching in BPM.
if errors found in the record, then store the error records in Hash table with in UDF, get the IDoc number, frame as a string and raise alert.
U have to do this in the context of IDoc.
If U wanna get the IDoc Number, Segment Name and field name for every failure, U can pass the expected error field name as constant to UDF, frame the sentence in the UDF like -> <b>IDoc 1234321 segment SEG001 field FLD03 has a special character *</b>.
If U wanna pass this string to source/target, U can do in error messages branch in BPM.
U must use BPM for splitting the IDoc, since it is multi-mapping.
