  • Will Adobe offer a product to create forms after June 23

I've grown accustom to creating forms from existing documents as well as scratch.  Will Adobe X1 Pro be upgraded with a form converting feature?

    Hello Jeff,
JotForm has an import tool that can create an exact copy of your form and also it can transfer your existing data. We will handle everything for you.
Since PayPal features JotForm at the very top of their partners page we believe that JotForm has the best and most popular PayPal integration among form builders. So, you are also covered well on that front as well.

Since you are in a unique position it'd be a shame if you had to pay for another form provider for such a short time. We'd happy to give you a free JotForm Premium subscription until the end of August. Once you switch your account, just email me aytekin at jotform.com and I will enable your free subscription. When you try JotForm I am certain that you will keep using it in the next years, so it'd be a win-win for everyone.

  • How can I clear a form after submitting and saving the data in the iOS Acrobat Reader App

How can I clear a form after submitting and saving the data in the iOS Acrobat Reader App

    Darrell,
Thanks for this response. After I posted mine, I saw that the resetForm JavaScript method is documented as being supported starting with version 10.5: http://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Mobile/js.html
But I haven't been able to get it to work. Can you clarify if support was indeed added and if it works for you?

  • Bug submitting form with SpryUtils.submitForm

You can view this problem here:
    http://www.bachelorsguide.ca/spry16Ajaxsubmit.html
In the SpryUtils.js file I have changed the final "return:
false;" to "return: true;" as I want the form to submit to the
defined action of the form after doing the ajax submit.
This works in IE... it submits the ajax hit with all the form
variables then submits to the a third party payment page with all
    the form variables.
In FireFox it submits the ajax post but doesn't seem to be
passing the form variables with that submit, then it posts the form
to the thrid party and all the form variables are passed for that
    hit.
The issue seems to be that the form variables are not
submitted with the Ajax post when using FF but are submitted when
    using IE7.
When I leave the final "return: false;" then the Ajax hit
DOES work in FireFox... only when I change it to true; that FireFox
    stops working...
    Please help

    Diana,
The line you gave me was giving me syntax error.
i played with it and found that if I removed all references
to any return that it worked.
    So I this right now......
    onsubmit="Spry.Utils.submitForm('order_form',
    '',{method:'post', url:'modpython/index.py?aoi=true',
    async:false});
No returns, and the Utils file has the original code with the
    return false at the end.
I don't know what the syntax issue was but it is working in
Safari, IE7 and FF and I want to give you a big kiss!
Ok sorry for being inappropriate but I am extremely happy.
Thanks Diana so much... if you ever have DB issues let me
    know. I owe you.

  • Remember values in form after page submit

    Hi there,
im absolutely new to APEX (as u can see it`s my first post ;)), i read the documentations i found on the oracle website and know at least the basics...
So i started to create my first application and got already my first problem :D Maybe you can tell me if what i want to do is possible and how to do it.
I have several pages with a form on the left side and a sql report on the right side.
The form contains some fields which are list of values (fields which contain foreign keys so the user can just select a valid value). next to every list of value field i have a button. when the user clicks on the button i have a branch to the same page and the sql report gets updated. depending on which button next to the list of values with the foreign keys was pressed it shows the complete table the list of values references to (so the user can see what the foreign key he is selecting actually contains). after some work i finally made this work.
But the problem is: When the user enters some values into the form and then clicks on a button to see what the foreign keys contain the values he already entered are gone. But i want the values he entered to stay in the form after he pressed the button. is there a easy way to do that? the only thing i could imagine is to create a variable for every form field, save the current values into the variable before the page gets submitted and write the values of the variables back into the form when the page reloads. but that sounds kind of stupid... i would have to do that for every page of this kind (which are a lot). so is there a better way?
    thx a lot :)

    Hi Fennek,
If you created the Form using a wizard, it is possible that your page has a "reset page" process on it. If it has, either set a condition of Never for it or delete it. This process will clear the values for all items on the page.
If you don't have this process, check the branches on the page. It could be that one of them has a Clear Cache setting that clears the values for the page - just remove the setting to stop that happening.

  • Change sender email for submitted Form emails

I built a website for a client using Muse and the Form widget through Business Catalyst. However, now whenever the client gets emails from a submitted form, it says its coming from MY email. How do I change the sender so that they recognize that it's not a personal email from me, but rather a submitted website form. Hope that makes sense!

UPDATE: I just figured it out after having posted this no less than 10 mins ago. Thanks community, your genius overflowed to me and helped me solve my own problem. For anyone who is curious, in the Business Catalyst Admin Console, Under the Site Manager tab in the menu, you simply click "System Email" and the "Set default from email."   I can't believe I missed that, and I call myself a professional. Hope it helps someone else!

  • Editing submitted forms

Are users able to edit their forms after submission and resubmit?

No, they are not able to edit a submitted form.
If, however, you have enabled the Save feature, and your respondents have only Saved, not Submitted, then they can pull the saved form up, edit it, and then Submit when the form is all correct/complete.

  • How to Close InfoPath Form After Submission When Two Buttons Exist?

I have an browser-enabled InfoPath 2010 form that has two views and a submit button on each view. The form would correctly submit and close the form using one button on the form until the second button was added. After adding the submit button on a second
view, the second button submitted/closed but the behavior on the first view changed so that the form no longer closes after submission. I’ve researched this and have not yet found a solution to allow closing the form after submission for one of the buttons.
    Things I’ve tried:
     - I’ve attempted creating multiple submit data connections for the different buttons
     - Specifying different Submit Options
     - Try closing the form with the code
     - Add another button to the non-closing view
     - Add duplicate Rule actions to "Close this form: No Prompt"
    Settings:
    Button rules:
     - Submit using data connection: SharePoint Library Submit
     - Close this form: No Prompt
    Button Properties:
     - Action > Rules and Custom Code
    The form Submit Options:
     - Send form to a single destination (a form library)
     - Choose a data connection for submit (SharePoint library submit)
     - Advanced > After Submit: Close the form
    Advanced form options:
     - Filler Features: all items unchecked (not allowing Save, etc.)
     - E-Mail Attachments: uncheck Enable InfoPath e-mail form functionality for this form template
    Resources:
When considering programmatically submitting and closing the form, I understand from this article that the Rules run before code and I can’t close the InfoPath form programmatically by writing code behind a button that has a rule set on it:
    http://www.bizsupportonline.net/blog/2009/01/how-to-programmatically-run-code-close-infopath-web-form/
Discussion of creating a custom Save and Submit buttons for InfoPath browser forms:
    http://markhaverty.com/sharepoint/custom-save-and-submit-buttons-for-infopath-browser-forms/

what if you need to switch views?
I have the same problem in a similar situation.  I created a test button to narrow down the cause.  the button submits data & closes the form fine.  however when I add a rule to switch views before the submit & close rule, it
breaks.  Submit still works but it no longer closes the form.  If I disable the switch-view rule, then it closes fine.
I tried added another rule to switch back to the main view but that didn't help.
switching views is an integral part of the workflow b/c I want to email the alternate view upon approval & then close the form.  So removing that rule is not a good answer unfortunately.

  • Contact Form - Email forwarding from user submitted forms

How can one have the user's submitted email address in the from dialog instead of the adobe user account email. My client would like to be able to use the reply button in there email client instead of starting a new email. At the moment all the submitted forms come from my adobe account and use my name instead of the user's name the submitted the form. This makes tracking submitted forms more difficult. Is there a solution available?
    Thanks,
    Graeme

You can set the 'from' email address after you log in to your website admin.
You can get there by clicking the 'manage' button in Muse, or pointing your browser to yoursite.businesscatalyst.com/admin
Then click 'Site Manager', then 'System Emails', then 'Set Default 'From' Email'

  • Goodbye unlimited data for IPad 3G customers.  Welcome to AT&T after June 7

    http://www.att.com/gen/press-room?pid=17991&cdvn=news&newsarticleid=30854&mapcod e=financial%7CWireless
For new iPad customers, the $25 per month 2 GB plan will replace the existing $29.99 unlimited plan. iPad customers will continue to pre-pay for their wireless data plan and no contract is required. Existing iPad customers who have the $29.99 per month unlimited plan can keep that plan or switch to the new $25 per month plan with 2 GB of data.
    http://www.macrumors.com/
"AT&T also announced that they have changed the iPad 3G data plan for new customers after June 7th.
At present, AT&T offers a no-contract $29.99/month unlimited data plan specifically for iPad owners. If you activate your data plan before June 7th, you can still participate in this plan. After June 7th, however, AT&T will be replacing that plan with a $25/month 2GB limited plan. From the press release:
For new iPad customers, the $25 per month 2 GB plan will replace the existing $29.99 unlimited plan. iPad customers will continue to pre-pay for their wireless data plan and no contract is required. Existing iPad customers who have the $29.99 per month unlimited plan can keep that plan or switch to the new $25 per month plan with 2 GB of data.
So, if this is an issue for you, you still have time to be grandfathered into the unlimited data plan. Existing iPad customers can look at their current data usage via their iPad settings."

    Got this off of cnet.com:
    http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-20006534-1.html
“But nobody will be forced to switch. If users are happy with their current plan then they can keep it, which we expect many to do. In fact, AT&T tells us, *"[Users] are not required to switch to the new plans if they renew their contract or switch to another smartphone.* However, if they switch to one of the new plans, they will not be able to go back to their old unlimited plan." The only downside is that legacy iPhone plans won't get tethering, so there are some things to consider for some.”
Hopefully that will remain the case. I have unlimited on both my iPhone and iPad and like the freedom of watching as many videos and surfing the net as much as I want. On TUAW the article was saying it was likely that AT&T would force those "grandfathered" into changing to a new data plan when they renewed. The above article pretty much says that AT&T is claiming that whether we renew or switch to another smartphone and don't switch data plans that we should be ok.
    I'll keep my fingers crossed!

telling me to buy a new router is NOT a solution.
And why not? Apple is selling these things like BigMacs. They can't make enough of them. You've been suffering since May because you refuse to get a decent router.
Can you imagine if a company that makes a refrigerator told me that I needed to upgrade my electrical system to rectify a problem with their device? What kind of response IS that?!?!
What if the problem with their device is that it requires a new-fangled "grounded" outlet and your circa 1890 house doesn't have grounded outlets. Would you refuse to purchase a $ 25 adapter on principle?

  • Can You Disable A PDF Form After X (days or openes)?

Is there any way to disable a PDF form after X # of days or X # of openes? Here's my situation:
I have a time sensitive document that needs to be filled it out and printed within 72 hours from receipt. After 72 hours the form is no longer valid and must be locked and disabled (meaning you can open it and see the contents anymore). Is there any simple solution?
    * FYI, seems purchasing DRM is a bit too expensive for this application.
I have Adobe LiveCycle Designer and Acrobat Pro X.
    Thanks for any help!

DRM - digital rights management. Controversial and complicated subject.
If you just want a password you can set that with Acrobat, but it has no expiry system. Expiry is a pretty complex area, for instance, it cannot trust the clock in the user's own computer, because they could change it to fool you. And if you count opens or whatever they can just start with a fresh copy. Adobe's DRM runs on a server 24/7, so that checks can be made whether to open or not.

  • Can't Edit a form after converting it to reader extended

I am struggling with an issue when creating a form. I create the form in Word, convert and edit in Acrobat Pro, then save a version as "reader extended" so that our users can fill it out. However, there were some errors in the form after I saved it as "reader extended". I tried to save a copy but it says I can't "edit form"...What do I do?
    here are some screen shots:

so i have a pdf file I'm working on as  "test.pdf"   I save a version as "test_fill_in.pdf" with reader extended and then distributed.
I was advised some of the form functions and fields were not correct so I needed to edit the  test_fill_in.pdf.
To edit I did the following:
    Opened the "test_fill_in.pdf" in acrobat
    Save a copy as "test_fill_in_1.pdf"
Received "You cannot edit this file as a form" message
    what am i doing wrong?
I've had to recreate this form from scratch sooo many times!!
