Subscriber getting a hung on a ZfS Java thread

In order to resolve high utilization on NW 6.5 sp7 with ZfS 7 sp1 subscriber I want to update the JVM.NLM with Sun's latest update for Java 1.4.2_13. In the previous post I've found the following version resolved the problem:

    Hi Experts,
    In OBIEE 11G, how to get the special parameter created by JAVA?
    For example:
    In JAVA , it has set one parameter named 'test'.
    So how to get the parameter in filter area in OBIEE?

    Hi Kobe,
    No P2 holds the parameter name like PresentationTable.ColumnName, in your form you may go for complete name or just column name and before submitting the form you can define the Action url.
    I would suggest to read section 6.3.2.1.
    ex:
    <SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript">
    changeAction(url) {
    var TestVar = form.inputbox.value;
    document.this_form.action="saw.dll?Go&Path=/Shared/Test/SB2&Action=Navigate&P0=1&P1=like&P2=Customers.Region&P3="+TestVar;
    </SCRIPT>
    </HEAD>
    <BODY>
    <FORM NAME="myform" ACTION="" METHOD="GET">Enter something in the box: <BR>
    <INPUT TYPE="text" NAME="inputbox" VALUE=""><P>
    <INPUT TYPE="button" NAME="button" Value="Click" onClick="changeAction(this.value)">
    </FORM>
    If helps pls mark.

  • How to get an XML string from a Java Bean without wrting to a file first ?

    I know we can save a Java Bean to an XML file with XMLEncoder and then read it back with XMLDecoder.
    But how can I get an XML string of a Java Bean without writing to a file first ?
    For instance :
    My_Class A_Class = new My_Class("a",1,2,"Z", ...);
    String XML_String_Of_The_Class = an XML representation of A_Class ?
    Of course I can save it to a file with XMLEncoder, and read it in using XMLDecoder, then delete the file, I wonder if it is possible to skip all that and get the XML string directly ?
    Frank

    I think so too, but I am trying to send the object to a servlet as shown below, since I don't know how to send an object to a servlet, I can only turn it into a string and reconstruct it back to an object on the server side after receiving it :
    import java.io.*;
    import java.net.*;
    import java.util.*;
    class Servlet_Message        // Send a message to an HTTP servlet. The protocol is a GET or POST request with a URLEncoded string holding the arguments sent as name=value pairs.
      public static int GET=0;
      public static int POST=1;
      private URL servlet;
      // the URL of the servlet to send messages to
      public Servlet_Message(URL servlet) { this.servlet=servlet; }
      public String sendMessage(Properties args) throws IOException { return sendMessage(args,POST); }
      // Send the request. Return the input stream with the response if the request succeeds.
      // @param args the arguments to send to the servlet
      // @param method GET or POST
      // @exception IOException if error sending request
      // @return the response from the servlet to this message
      public String sendMessage(Properties args,int method) throws IOException
        String Input_Line;
        StringBuffer Result_Buf=new StringBuffer();
        // Set this up any way you want -- POST can be used for all calls, but request headers
        // cannot be set in JDK 1.0.2 so the query string still must be used to pass arguments.
        if (method==GET)
          URL url=new URL(servlet.toExternalForm()+"?"+toEncodedString(args));
          BufferedReader in=new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(url.openStream()));
          while ((Input_Line=in.readLine()) != null) Result_Buf.append(Input_Line+"\n");
        else
          URLConnection conn=servlet.openConnection();
          conn.setDoInput(true);
          conn.setDoOutput(true);
          conn.setUseCaches(false);
          // Work around a Netscape bug
          conn.setRequestProperty("Content-Type","application/x-www-form-urlencoded");
          // POST the request data (html form encoded)
          DataOutputStream out=new DataOutputStream(conn.getOutputStream());
          if (args!=null && args.size()>0)
            out.writeBytes(toEncodedString(args));
    //        System.out.println("ServletMessage args: "+args);
    //        System.out.println("ServletMessage toEncString args: "+toEncodedString(args));
          BufferedReader in=new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(conn.getInputStream()));
          while ((Input_Line=in.readLine()) != null) Result_Buf.append(Input_Line+"\n");
          out.flush();
          out.close(); // ESSENTIAL for this to work!
        return Result_Buf.toString();               // Read the POST response data
      // Encode the arguments in the property set as a URL-encoded string. Multiple name=value pairs are separated by ampersands.
      // @return the URLEncoded string with name=value pairs
      public String toEncodedString(Properties args)
        StringBuffer sb=new StringBuffer();
        if (args!=null)
          String sep="";
          Enumeration names=args.propertyNames();
          while (names.hasMoreElements())
            String name=(String)names.nextElement();
            try { sb.append(sep+URLEncoder.encode(name,"UTF-8")+"="+URLEncoder.encode(args.getProperty(name),"UTF-8")); }
    //        try { sb.append(sep+URLEncoder.encode(name,"UTF-16")+"="+URLEncoder.encode(args.getProperty(name),"UTF-16")); }
            catch (UnsupportedEncodingException e) { System.out.println(e); }
            sep="&";
        return sb.toString();
    }As shown above the servlet need to encode a string.
    Now my question becomes :
    <1> Is it possible to send an object to a servlet, if so how ? And at the receiving end how to get it back to an object ?
    <2> If it can't be done, how can I be sure to encode the string in the right format to send it over to the servlet ?

  • Any way to get HTTP header in web dynpro Java?

    Is there any way to get HTTP header in web dynpro java? This method gives me the params. Is params same as header? It doesn't have any way to retrieve header data. I am on NW 7.0.19
    WDProtocolAdapter.getProtocolAdapter().getRequestObject().getParameter("param");

    Dear Faraz,
    I'm afraid the code you've pasted is only to retrieve URL parameters.
    Have you tried this document to see if it offers any good hint:
    [http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/b0446f5c-fcb9-2910-e082-88becbe3ddc9]
    Not sure if you can process the HTTP header with a WD4J.
    An alternative could be to develop some Portal component in plain JAVA working as a proxy to call your WD4J afterwards.
    That portal component would process your HTTP header and forward any parameter to your WD4J.
    But this is me just guessing.
    Kind Regards

  • How to  get the profile object in simple java class  (Property accessor)

    Hi All,
    Please guide me how to get the profile object in simple java class (Property accessor) which is extending the RepositoryPropertyDescriptor.
    I have one requirement where i need the profile object i.e i have store id which is tied to profile .so i need the profile object in the property accessor of the SKU item descriptor property, which is extending RepositoryPropertyDescriptor.
    a.I dont have request object also to do request.resolvename.
    b.It is not a component to create setter and getter.It is simple java class which is extending the RepositoryPropertyDescriptor.
    Advance Thanks.

    Iam afraid you might run into synchronization issues with it. You are trying to get/set value of property of a sku repository item that is shared across various profiles.
    Say one profile A called setPropertyValue("propertyName", value).Now another profile B accesses
    getPropertyValue() {
    super.getPropertyValue() // Chance of getting value set by Profile A.
    // Perform logic
    There is a chance that profile B getting the value set by Profile A and hence inconsistency.
    How about doing this way??
    Create PropertyDescriptor in Profile (i.e user item descriptor), pass the attribute CustomCatalogTools in userProfile.xml to that property.
    <attribute name="catalogTools" value="atg.commerce.catalog.CustomCatalogTools"/>
    getPropertyValue()
    //You have Profile item descriptor and also storeId property value.
    // Use CustomCatalogTools.findSku();
    // Use storeId, profile repository item, sku repository item to perform the logic
    Here user itemdescriptor getPropertyValue/setPropertyValue is always called by same profile and there is consistency.

  • How can I get the memory allocation info of a java thread?

    Now I am going to write a program to monitor the execution condition of the java threads. But it seems that the classes in standard edition of JDK does not provide facilities to get the information such as the memory allocation and CPU time of a running thread. How can I do with it? Can I use JNI or JVMDI to get them? If it could do, how?

    Thanks a lot. I just browsed the specification of jvmpi. It is interesting and it seems that I can get the information I need. However, if I want to get the information in my program, I mean, if I want to build a class which may use JNI method to invoke the function written with JVMPI, and then forward the data to other upper layer objects, can it be done?

  • Get the path of the running java program

    Hi,
    Is it possible to get the path of the main java class that I am running.
    For example if I am running myProgram.class can I get the path of that class from itself.
    Best regards,
    Chamal.

    Hi,
    Is it possible to get the path of the main java class
    that I am running.
    I found this one recently.
    You can get the Codebase as a URL. This will point to the classes directory, or the jar file or the online URL in the case of an applet or the like.
    URL codeBase = getClass().getProtectionDomain().getCodeBase().getLocation();will get you the location from which the class it's called in was loaded. (In a static context use
    Myclass.class.getProtectionDomain().....)

  • Acrobat 11 Pro installer get's hung up when it gets' to "Installing script packages-"

    I have a 2008 15" Unibody Macbook Pro with the replaceable five hour battery.  It has 8 GS of RAM and it is booted under Mountain Lion.  The Acrobat 11 Pro installer get's hung up when it gets to "Installing script packages…"  It never finishes installation.  I've tried it after booting in Safe Boot Mode and then again in regular boot mode.  I've had no success.  The Acrobat 11 Pro installer works fine when installing on my 2007 32bit Mac Pro desktop, booted under Lion.  Do I need to try something fancy with command line, using the Terminal app?  I'm stumped.

    Greetings, Rave and Sabian.
    I resolved the Acrobat 11 Pro install issue without reformatting my Macbook Pro's internal hard drive.  I reinstalled Mountain Lion on top of the existing Mountain Lion installation.
    I reinstalled Lion on my '07 32bit Mac Pro, about a month ago, and it resolved a lot of issues.  So, re-installing Mountain Lion on top of the existing Mountain Lion installation was the fix to get the Acrobat 11 Pro install to complete and also eliminate some other system bugs I was having.
    After using Acrobat 11 Pro on my Mac Pro, for over a week, I have to say it is a huge improvement over Acrobat 9 Pro.  I love having the tools and commenting tabs over to the right of the window and using the top menu less.  It makes scrolling through PDF pages and comments two separate activities, allowing the screen refresh to be much quicker and better.
    Acrobat 11 Pro is a great version!

    Hi,
    How can we get requester's user id using java code?

    also,
    I have a resoure "A" which on revoking should also revoke resources B and C. How can it be done. Resource A, B, and C are 3 different resource objects.
    ==Thanks,
    doki

    Ok, so there is a way, but it's not available during submission. You can use the findRequests api. From the result set, get the "Requests.Consolidated Data Value" value. In this information, you will get an xml formatted data. It provides the list of users on the request on the left side after submission. After the request is completed, this value is available. Upon completion, you could get the request information, get this value, and parse the information for user ids.
    In the same adapter, use the following API:
    formIntf.setObjectFormData(objInstanceKey, formHash)
    The formHash is a hashtable containing the field name on your object form, and the values you wish to populate it with. You could create a textarea box on your object form and populate the userids for who the request is for.
    However, this makes absolutely 0 sense. When you get a request, the list of userids are listed right there on the request.

  • Cannot get bitmap from native DLL from multi threaded Java app.

    I have a native DLL that gives me a HBITMAP (Windows handle to bitmap). I have made a JNI wrapper for this that gives me a BufferedImage back. The native code simple gets the actual bitmap for the handle, converts the RGB byte triplets to RGB ints, puts this in a jintArray and creates a BufferedImage.
    This all works fine within a single Java thread. If I do this multi threaded (thread 1 calls the native function and several seconds later, thread 2 calls the native function) I keep getting the last image of the first thread. Can enyone help me out?
    I know that this is probably a question for MSDN but I just know that they will tell me its a JNI question.
    The native code:
    JNIEXPORT jobject JNICALL Java_somenamespace_getPicture
    (JNIEnv *env, jclass cl, jstring serialNumber)
    jobject jImage;
    jclass jImageClass;
    jmethodID jMethod;

    char *str;
    char *charArray;
    int *intArray;
    int w, h, index, type;
    HBITMAP hbmp;
    BITMAP bmp;
    str = (char*)((*env)->GetStringUTFChars(env, serialNumber, NULL));
    // Gets the HBITMAP handle from the native DLL. The first argument is to select the device, based on serial number.
    getPicture(str, &hbmp);
    (*env)->ReleaseStringUTFChars(env, serialNumber, str);
    // Get the BITMAP for the HBITMAP
    GetObject(hbmp, sizeof(BITMAP), &bmp);
    // Create my BufferedImage
    jImageClass = (*env)->FindClass(env, "java/awt/image/BufferedImage");
    jMethod = (*env)->GetMethodID(env, jImageClass, "<init>", "(III)V");
    jField = (*env)->GetStaticFieldID(env, jImageClass, "TYPE_INT_RGB", "I");
    type = (*env)->GetStaticIntField(env, jImageClass, jField);
    jImage = (*env)->NewObject(env, jImageClass, jMethod, bmp.bmWidth, bmp.bmHeight, type);
    // Get the RGB byte triplets of the BITMAP
    charArray = (char *)malloc(sizeof(char) * bmp.bmHeight * bmp.bmWidth * 3);
    GetBitmapBits(hbmp, sizeof(char) * bmp.bmHeight * bmp.bmWidth * 3, charArray);
    // Allocate space to store the RGB ints and convert the RGB byte triplets to RGB ints
    intArray = (int *)malloc(sizeof(int) * bmp.bmHeight * bmp.bmWidth);
    index = 0;
    for (h = 0; h < bmp.bmHeight; ++h)
    for (w = 0; w < bmp.bmWidth; ++w)
    int b = *(charArray + index * 3) & 0xFF;
    int g = *(charArray + index * 3 + 1) & 0xFF;
    int r = *(charArray + index * 3 + 2) & 0xFF;
    *(intArray + index) = 0xFF000000 | (r << 16) | (g << 8) | b;
    ++index;
    // Create a jintArray for the C RGB ints
    rgbArray = (*env)->NewIntArray(env, bmp.bmHeight * bmp.bmWidth);
    (*env)->SetIntArrayRegion(env, rgbArray, 0, bmp.bmHeight * bmp.bmWidth, (jint*)intArray);
    // Use BufferedImage.setRGB() to fill the image
    jMethod = (*env)->GetMethodID(env, jImageClass, "setRGB", "(IIII[III)V");
    (*env)->CallVoidMethod(env, jImage, jMethod,
    0, // int startX
    0, // int startY
    bmp.bmWidth, // int width
    bmp.bmHeight, // int height
    rgbArray, // int[] rgbArray
    0, // int offset
    bmp.bmWidth); // int scansize
    // Free stuff
    (*env)->DeleteLocalRef(env, rgbArray);
    free(charArray);
    free(intArray);
    return jImage;
    }I already tried working with native HDCs (GetDC, CreateCompatibleBitmap, SelectObject, GetDIBits, ...) but this just complicates stuff and gives me the same result.

    Have you verified what the "native DLL" gives you back on the second call?The HBITMAP handle returned is the same each call (no matter which thread). The actual BITMAP associated with this handle is only updated in the first thread.
    How are you determining that the image is the same?If I point the camera (I don't get a stream, I just get individual images) to a moving scene, I get different images for each call from within the first thread. The second thread only gets the latest image from the first thread. There is no concurrency of the threads and all methods are synchronized.
    Specifically did you verify that the problem is not that your test code itself is using the same instance?Yes, I tested the native side as well as the Java side. The BufferedImage is always an exact copy of the native BITMAP.
    Try printing out the hash for each instance.I have written the image to a file in the native code itself to eliminate anything related to the mechanism of returning the BufferedImage. This had the same result.
    The return values of all native calls all indicate successful calls.
    I am suspecting the native side of creating a second graphical context for the second thread while it keeps refering to the first context.
    (I will start a thread on the MSDN as well and will post here if anything turns up.)
