Subscription won't work

I have a 60-minute subscription to the UK (I'm in the US).  My balance is 59 minutes.  When I call a land line in London, it says it won't connect unless I buy some credit.  I've cancelled my subscription starting next month because I don't want to pay for nothing. I'd also like a refund, but I don't see any way to contact Skype (or rather, it's very easy to contact them to pay them, but impossible to contact them with a complaint). I'm furious. Help, somebody?

The problem was that you were trying to call shared cost numbers, which are not covered by Skype subscriptions as these are charged at higher rate.

    I updated my credit card details after my card expired to reactivate my subscription to Photoshop CS6. This went through fine and I was given the message that my subscription had been reactivated. However when I try to launch Photoshop the Application Manager says I need to renew my subscription. When I go online to 'My Subscriptions' my Photoshop subscription is listed as being active.
    I have spoken to several online representatives on the chat after being passed about several times over the period of an hour. The last person I spoke to said I need to wait 5-6 hours for it to become active. I have now waited for 8.5 hours and am struggling with what to do next as I really need Photoshop to be back up and running so I can get on with my work.
    I did read something on another thread about having to wait 72 hours. I sincerly hope this is not the case.

    I have the exact same story from the expired credit card to being passed around online for 1.5h with the representatives to being told that I need to wait 24h! Can I ask - did you get your issue resolved and do you have any advice on how to activate the subsciption?

    I recently tried to re-install Photoshop CS5 onto my computer, and while my serial is legitimate/accepted, Photoshop prompts me with the statements that it cannot start my subscription, and will propmt me once i restart photoshop to start said subscription. However, when i try to do so, it never starts the process. What's wrong?

    You did not provide any system information or any of that, so from generic activation issues to something on your system interferring all we can do is guess around. Anyway, such stuff is best handled by calling support. Also verify on your acount that your subscription is actually still active.

  • PDFMaker loads but won't work in Word 2013 - Acrobat XI and DC - Win 8.1 Pro

    OK, I opened a question that never got answered and it never was resolved...
    Just updated to Acrobat DC - same problem exists...
    I'm running Windows 8.1 Pro fully up to date..
    I've uninstalled and reinstalled Office 2013 Pro (I have an Office 365 subscription so it's the click-to-run install).
    I've uninstalled and reinstalled Acrobat Pro DC.
    I've rebooted (a full restart, not Win 8's fast boot restart) between each installation.
    I've tried this in multiple Office applications, none of them work EXCEPT for Outlook.
    For the following I will use Word as my examples...
    I've uninstalled all plug-ins and still it won't work.
    I've tried running Word as Administrator.... still won't work.
    OK... so this is what it looks like... as you can see the toolbar loads, but no icons...

    When you click on those buttons... it goes through the motions as if it were creating the PDF... but no file is ever created...
    If I right-click on a Word document and select Convert to PDF - it goes through the motions of creating the PDF, asks me where to save... and then a dialog box named "Acrobat PDFMaker" comes up saying " {Exclamation Point Yellow Triangle Icon} An unexpected error occurred. PDFMaker was unable to produce the Adobe PDF."
    If I right-click on a text file... and select Covert to PDF,  it immediately pops open a PDF of the text file.  Same with any image file.
    This was all working perfectly up until out of nowhere it stopped working on January 26, 2015.  See my original posting here: Acrobat XI Pro Word 2013 add-in stopped working
    I can Print to PDF using the PDF Printer without any problems.
    Creating a PDF in Outlook, no problems...
    I'm hoping somebody can figure this one out... I'm completely stumped.... and I'm usually very good at troubleshooting stuff.

  • Acrobat X XI Windows 7 just won't work

    I don't know if this is the appropriate place for this question, there doesn't seem to be much of an altenrative.
    I attempted to use a trial of acrobat x pro some months back but was not able to get the product to work no matter what I tried (installing reinstalling etc etc ad nauseum)
    Acrobat 9 works fine without any issues.
    Acrobat X will not work
    Today I've tried xi pro - I thought great, maybe it has been fixed; however, I have the same kinds of issues. All the program dialogue boxes are misshapen, bits are missing and I have to resort to task manager to shut them down as they won't otherwise. There's also weird looking - big, misshapen text that has 'crossed out' lines through it - one lot mentioned security certificates.
    I'm attaching a screenshot of the kind of dialogue box I get.
    I'm using CS6 as a trial, though I've purchased the PS subscription.
    I'm using windows 7 64 bit
    I plan to purchase the full CS6 next year as a student, but theres not much point if it won't work,,,
    I'd love a solution to this.

    Good day,
    I bought two subscriptions, one from venezuela and one for United states. I live in lebanon and usually use my skype credits to call my relatives to these countries. Since I made the subscriptions, I cant talk to them anymore. The phone actually rings, sometimes it rings once and that's it or it rings several times and then it stops riniging and the seconds start running as if someone opened the line. I cant hear anything though. The line drops after a few seconds after it opens. My credits are being deducted just like that and have not been able to talk to my relatives since. I cancelled the subscription thinking I will get my moeny back so I could also recharge back my account with that amount, and it turns out that now I have to wait until the subscription expires and my moeny wont be back and it means also that I wont be able to call these countries because it doesnt work. Can you please  tell me what's wrong. I currently live in Beirut Lebanon and never had a problem when I called pay as you go. 
    I would apprecitae your help the soonest. 
    In addition, I wish you guys had a customer support over the phone because it was so hard to find this page to write this, and I am not sure if I will get the right answer from here.

    I am having the exact same thing happen when I try to call landlines in the US. I have a subscription for 120 minutes to the US and I still have over half of my minutes remaining. They are numbers that I have called before but now the calls won't work. The people that I am trying to call have said they received the call and answered but couldn't hear anything. I also couldn't hear anything on my end.

    I bought indesign on february 2nd, and now my old photoshop won't work. I had photoshop CS6. They will not help me in chat and I cannot figure it out.     Check your CS6 version. Creative cloud may have updated your CS6 to subscription version CS6 version 13.1.2.  Where the Perpetual versions of CS6 are Mac version 13.0./6 Windows version 13.0.1.3 there are some differences between these versions.

    What operating system are you on? If your issue isn't related to your subscription being in a pending state (as I discussed in your other post), we'll look closer at what's going on with your system. But, I suspect you're going to be fine once your order finishes processing.

    I'm a student with, supposedly (everyone else at the school have it working), a one year access to the creative cloud - but it won't work. I keep getting the 30 day trial notice and tried un-/reinstalling it over and over without result.

    This is awful. I am having a similar issue.
    Even though my account is perfectly active and I did pay successfully for a membership, I keep getting this Subscription Reminder alert EVERY morning. Today it says I have 1 day left of trial. What is that supposed to mean? How long will it be before anyone from Adobe fixes this bug or at least try to provide any cure for that. How can you, guys, charge for the service of this low quality?
    I just can't believe it's Adobe that shipping this product FULL of bugs all over and charging for that. I tried to talk to Contact Center (Russia) but they are useless. First, my card was accepted and I paid. Then my payment didn't process for no reason (the card was fine!), then they cancelled my subscription and I paid again, then I got an email saying my subscription was terminated, then I paid again. Finally, when this nightmare over, and I did pay - I dived into another problem: my CC seems to NOT know that I actually paid for the membership in full.
    So, I feel your pain. I CANT WORK. Thank you, Adobe. Maybe I should switch to a pirated software.

  • Freetalk won't work

    Hi;
    I got my Freetalk, set it up and after 2 rings I get a recorded message saying 'the number you have called cannot be completed as dialed'
    It worked the first 3 times I used it to call a (non-skype) landline but then my free 12 month Canada/US subscription came online and now it won't work.
    Perhaps I'm putting the wrong symbol infront of the number?  Do I need a different symbol with the subscription vs pay per minute?
    Vfrustrating.  Pls help.

    That message sounds like it is coming from your telephone company.
    Does it make the Skype noise when dialing the number?
    What format are you dialing the number in (local/long distance/international)?
    To make sure you are dialing using Skype, use ** before the number. To make sure that you are dialing using your landline, use # before the number.

  • HP LaserJet Pro C1415fn color MFP - fax won't work

    I have a LaserJet Pro CM1415fn color MFP on a Windows 7 64-bit laptop. I've been using the printer for two years now.
    At the moment the fax function only works if I use it manually (i.e. if I place a sheet of paper on the scanner, select the "Fax" button on the printer touch pad and dial the number). However, if I want to send a fax via the PC interface, it won't work.
    For example, if I open a PDF, click on "Print" and select "HP LaserJet Professional CM 1410 Series Fax", nothing happens -- no window/interface will open. If I select "HP Send Fax" or "HP Fax Setup Wizard" from the program menu, nothing happens.
    I've always been sending faxes this way and I just don't know what happened... Can anyone please help?

    I see that you can't fax from the PC anymore. I can help you with this.
    If this just recently happened, I would do a System Restore back to when everything was working properly.
    System Restore for Windows 7.
    If you would prefer not to do the System Restore, uninstall and reinstall the printer software. It might become corrupted.
    Here are the steps to run the uninstall from the computer or the CD.
    To uninstall from program files:
    Touch the Windows key and the E key to access the computer window.
    Select the C drive.
    Select program files or program files x86.
    Open the HP and printer name folder.
    Select uninstall.
    Uninstall the software from the CD:
    Touch the Windows key and the E key to access the computer window. Right click on the CD for the printer, left click open in a new window, double click on uninstall.
    Disable all the start up programs and temporarily turn off the Antivirus Software. How to use MSCONFIG .
    Click on the start up tab and click disable all.
    Download, save and install the latest drivers.
    HP LaserJet Pro CM1415fnw Color Multifunction Printer Drivers.
    Test the printer and try sending a fax again from the PC.
    Then you will need to go back in and enable the start up programs and turn the Antivirus Software back on again.

    I have not had wifi since November when I upgraded to the newest IOS version.  I called the Apple help line and they told me some things to do and I tried them all and they worked for a few hours and then wifi shut off again.  I kept doing what they told me and it worked for a couple more days and then I could never turn it on again.  My blue tooth doesn't work either.  I had to actually increase my data usage with AT&T becuase of this.  When I did that in December I went to the Apple store and was told that it is a hardware issue and since my phone is out of warranty I would have to pay for a new phone because they could not fix the issue.  My upgrade isn't up until June 2014 so not only do I have to wait for the upgrade and I am not paying for a new phone but I have to pay $10 plus extra a month on my cell phone bill because I was going over on my Data!!!  I have been beyond upset about this and Apple is not doing anything about this nor did they offer up some way to resolve the issue because obviously it is not just some rare incident if several people are having this issue.  Who knows how many people out there have had this issue and have not said anything about it.  Now there is a newer update that I can't do because it requires wifi in order to download.
    June can not get here fast enough and I may not go back to Iphone after dealing with this for so long with no help from Apple.

    I've recently updated my MacBook Air to OS X v10.9.4.  iPhoto won't work as i am currently using v9.2.  I've tried downloading a later version but have been advised that my Apple ID will not work on this computer.  NB.  I have an iPhone but have not used the Apple ID on this - to my knowledge, or another Apple ID on my system.  I'm a basic level user so any advice on this would be great.

  • WEP Password Won't Work!

    I have a Wireless router, which can do WEP, WPA and WPA2 encryption. If I have WPA2, then my desktop (Windows) can't remember the password, so that encryption is out for the mo, WPA won't work on our old laptop, and so WEP is all that's left. Every device in my house (including my iPhone) can connect, but my MacBook fails too! I have tried loads of different WEP passwords, and it can still connect to other WEP protected networks, but not mine! Is there anything I could have done, or is this a general problem?

    Just like Windows stores your network profile info in C:\Document and Settings, the mac stores your network location in a plist file.
    WEP is really for B/G networks, most newer networks are using WPA/WPA2 because it is more secure.
    Can you connect to WPA2 Personal with the mac and that router?
    Can you create a new Windows profile under network settings? (you should be able to).
    Sometimes if you cannot connect using ASCII character for the password, look at your Key 1: on Windows for the Hex version of the password and try typing the Hex in the password box.
    IF your password for WEP is short, like less than 8 characters, that may be the problem, it order to get WPA2 you need a password at least 8 characters long, 10 is better and more accepted by encryption schemas. Try adding 1234 to the end of your existing password (i.e. password1234) in the router, then input it again to see if it works. Try making the password exactly 10 characters long if you can.
    WEP is like having no security at all, WPA/WPA2 is much more secure.
