Substance from DG Handling for SVT

Hello EH&S Experts,
I would like to know if I´m right, so following situation:
We have implemented the EH&S Submodule Dangerous Goods Management, we don´t have a data provider for the substances.
Our current configuration is that we have the substances for as Spec. Type LS_UN_SUB. For each substance we have created a classification DG_CL_SUB where the materials are linked.
Now, we create the DG Master Records with the transaction DGE5. So everything is good.
Now I get a further requirement, to check if it is possible to implement the Substance Volume Tracking (SVT) in EH&S.
So, my question now is: is it possible to use the existing substances (LS_UN_SUB) for the SVT?
Or do I have to create new substances?
The main problem is that we don´t have a data provider and we create everything manually.
Thank you in advance and best regards.
Thomas

Hello Thomas
you can not use LS_UN_SUB specifications whcih you have generated to handle DG topics to handle the SVT topic. Normally you will use either the PURE_SUb or the LIST_SUBs in SVT.
PLease refer to data model on online help or SAP Note 905726 regarding SVT.
With best regards
C.B.
There is a chapter "Substance Volume Tracking "  in online help of SAP. Here you will find basic information regarding this.
Keep in mind: based on you rSAP release you have further options in SVT. With Enhancement PAckage 5 new functionaliyt is available in this area

  • Error in creating IO file handles for job (number 3152513)

    Hi All -
    I am using Tidal 5.3.1.307. And the Windows agent that is running these jobs is at 3.0.2.05.
    Basically the error in the subject was received when starting a particular job once it was cancelled and a couple of other different jobs a few days before. These jobs have run successfully in the past.
    This particular job was running for 500+ minutes when it should run at an estimated 40 minutes. At that time it would not allow for a re-start of the job, it just stayed in a launched status.
    Trying to figure out what causes this error.
    Error in creating IO file handles for job 3152513
    Note - from that being said we were to see 2 instances of this process running at the same time, we noticed some blocking on the DB side of things.
    Trying to figure out if this is a known tidal issue or a coding issue or both.
    Another side note, after cancelling the 2nd rerun attempt the following error was encountered: Error activating job, Duplicate.
    When we did receive the Error creating IO file, the job did actually restart, but Tidal actually lost hooks into it and the query was still running as an orphan on the db server.
    Thanks All!

    The server to reboot is the agent server.  You can try stopping the agent and then manually deleting the file.  That may work.  When the agent is running the agent process may keep the file locked, so rebooting may not be sufficient.
    The numerical folders are found as sub-directories off of the services directory I mentioned.  I think the numbers correspond to the job type, so one number corresponds to standard jobs, another to FTP jobs.  I'd just look in the numbered directories until you find a filename matching the job number.
    The extensions don't really matter since you will want to delete all files that match your job number.  There should only be one or two files that you need to delete and they should all be in the same numbered sub-directory.
    As to the root cause of the problem, I can't really say since it doesn't happen very often.  My recollection is that it is either caused by a job blowing up spectacularly (e.g. a memory leak in the program being launched by Tidal) or someone doing something atypical with the client.

  • Error handling for work item

    Dear All,
         When I trigger my workflow from SWUE,the workflow containers must be populated with agent name.But it is populated only with 'US'.Please suggest.
         On the other hand, when I trigger my workflow from ME21N,the workflow goes into error.The error statement is "Exception occurred - Error handling for work item 000000954797".What is the problem?
        Please suggest the solution for which I will be grateful.
    Thanks and regards,
    S.Suresh

    Dear ,
    I use bus2012 as BOR and event as created.
    When I create purchase order from ME21N,bus2012 is not triggering.Instead FREBUS2012 gets triggered which is a subtype of bus2012.
    At SWETYPV,event linkage is activated only for BUS2012 and there is no entry at SWETYPV for FREBUS2012.
    Though I configured the workflow with start events:BUS2012->created,why FREBUS2012 should trigger my workflow which is not seen in SWETYPV?How to override it?Please suggest.
    There is no start conditions for my workflow.Whenever purchase order is created,this workflow should trigger.
    So,the parameters passed between even to workflow are
    &_EVT_OBJECT&    ->        &BUS2012&
    &_EVT_CREATOR&   ->     & WFINITIATOR&
    Thanks and regards,

  • HTTP handler for starting an external service cannot be read

    Hi,
    When i execute the work item from Business Work place and also from the UWL in Enterprise portal of the task TS21300098 for HR Process Requisition workflow.
    In the Error is says
    HTTP handler for starting an external service cannot be read
    Message no. SWK045
    Diagnosis
    This work item is a link to a HTTP service. To start the service, a launch handler must be known to the SAP System.
    However, the system could not find a launch handler.
    System Response
    The workflow system cannot start execution of the work item.
    Procedure
    Contact your workflow administrator:
    In Customizing you must maintain a launch handler for HTTP-supported dialog services.
    I have checked the config under WF_HANDCUST transaction and made the launch Handler settings generated automatically.
    But still the problem occurs.
    Any Suggesions and help?
    Thanks & Regards

    hi Guys,
    I have got the same issue. This blog helped me with tcode WF_HANDCUST. I have generated the url
    http://waspgh.kcc.com:8083/sap/bc/webflow/wshandler-->Click on Generate URL and click on distribution.
    Immediately u will get click on Test url . Click Test url . Then It is not successful. It stopped at
    http://waspgh.kcc.com:8083/sap/bc/webflow
    Getting http page error. So use tcode sicf >sap>bc-->webflow service and activate it.
    Then test the connection. It will be successfull.

  • EmailRecieved Event handler for incoming email in Sharepoint 2013

    Hi,
    I am developing custom event handler to enable incoming email for custom document library.  i have couple of questions.
    1. Once i attached the event handler, i could see incoming email settings for the custom document library, but it displays only 2 options as below :
                  1.   Allow this document library to recieve email
                                 Yes       No
                    2. E-mail address
    All other properties are not displaying. Is this normal behaviour on custom event handler for custom document library or any issue anywhere?
    2. So i have given other properties using powershell as below:
    $list = $web.lists["invoice Documents"]
    $list.EmailAlias ="TestDocument"
    $list.EnableAssignToEmail = $true
    $list.rootFolder.Properties["vti_emailusesecurity"] = 1
    $list.rootFolder.Properties["vti_emailsaveattachments"] = 1
    $list.rootFolder.Properties["vti_emailattachmentfolders"] = "root"
    $list.rootFolder.Properties["vti_emailoverwrite"] = 0
    $list.rootFolder.Properties["vti_emailsavemeetings"] = 0
    $list.rootFolder.Properties["vti_emailsaveoriginal"] = 0
    $List.RootFolder.Update();
    $list.Update();
    here i have given vti_emailusesecurity as 1, so it should allow incoming email for the user who has permission for the list.
    But any user from the domain is sending mail to this list, the Emailrecieved event handler is triggered. I am expecting that this event handler should not be triggered and expecting access denied error in the ULS Log. But that is not happening, and emailrecived
    is triggered and email is delivering to this address successfully.
    Can you please anyone help if experience on this?
    Thanks
    Sathya

  • In oracle B2B multiple files are getting picked from SFTP location for one file in custer environment

    Flow is like :
    REST ENDPOINT->OSB PROXYSERVICE->BUSINESS SERVICE->B2B SFTP LOCATION->B2B->SOA JMS Queue->SOA COMPOSITE-
    Due to cluster environment, there is issue when B2B picks the file from SFTP location for Custom protocol using sftp listening channel. Sometimes B2B picks multiple files from SFTP location for just one copy of file. It is happening because of cluster environment 4 instances of server is looking into the SFTP location for picking the file and sometime 2 or more instances of server are reading same file and sending the copy to B2B.
    Please let me know , how can I stop this behavior

    All QFE's have been applied we are building the image so we have some control.
    I have build an image which used the debug DLL's of the FATFS and I have enabled all of the DebugZones.  The problem is still happening. From the timings in the debug logs and the timestamps in the data which corrupts the test file I have been able
    to see that the file is corrupted AFTER the write is complete. Or at least that's how it seems.
    We finished writing the file and closed the handle. Then more data is written to other files. When we get around to verifying the file it now contains data from the files that were subsequently written.
    What I think I need to do is figure out in detail how the two files were "laid down" onto the SDCard.  If the system used the same cluster to write the 2 files then that would explain the issue.

  • How to add event handling for a menu?

    hi,
    I have created a menu and few mneu items.
    for eachmenu itme , i did event handling and it is workign fine.
    it was like this
    menuItem = new JMenuItem("Exit",KeyEvent.VK_X);
    menuItem.setAccelerator(KeyStroke.getKeyStroke(KeyEvent.VK_X, ActionEvent.ALT_MASK));
    menuItem.addActionListener(this);
    menu.add(menuItem);
         public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent e)
    JMenuItem source = (JMenuItem)(e.getSource());
    String s = "Action event detected. Event source: " + source.getText();
    System.out.println(s);
    public void itemStateChanged(ItemEvent e)
    JMenuItem source = (JMenuItem)(e.getSource());
    String s = "Item event detected. Event source: " + source.getText();
    System.out.println(s);
    now int he second menu i don't have any menu item and i want to do the event handling for the menu itself. any ideas how to do it. following is the code for the menu
    //Build the second menu.
    menu2 = new JMenu("Options");
    menu2.setMnemonic(KeyEvent.VK_O);
    menuBar.add(menu2);
    menu2.addActionListener(this);     //this does nto work

    You were on the right track. However, selecting a menu is different from selecting a menu item. MenuItem chucks an ActionEvent and Menu will send an ItemEvent.
    If you pile all action output to one actionPerformed method then be careful of your assumptions on what the source type will be. If by any chance the Menu has sent an ActinoEvent then your code will have caused a ClassCastException.

            menu2.setMnemonic(KeyEvent.VK_O);
            menu2.addActionListener(this); //this does not work
            menu2.addItemListener(this); // use this instead
            menubar.add(menu2);
            JPanel panel = new JPanel();
            panel.setPreferredSize(new Dimension(100,100));
            frame.getContentPane().add(panel);
            frame.pack();
            frame.show();
        public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent e)
            String s = "Action event detected. Event source: " + e.getSource();
            System.out.println(s);

  • Event handler for STDIN input?

    Hi,
    This question will probably require a bit of context - I'm attempting to re-implement in java an application that's currently written in perl. The application is a server helper app that rewriters urls; it receives a request ID and a URL on stdin, does the necessary munging (which can require an external SOAP query), then returns the resulting rewritten URL.
    Since the results can be asynchronous due to the need for external queries to build the result, this is currently a multithreaded perl app implemented using perl's POE framework to register an event handler for stdin. That handler fires each time a line of input is received, then feeds the query to a thread pool manager (POE::Component::Pool::Thread, which is conceptually similar to the Executor frameworks). The thread returns the result as a callback registered to another function in the main thread, which then populates the query/result to a cache then outputs the result (with the original query ID) on stdout. Since stdin input and the result callbacks are event-driven, there's no while(true) main loop or other blocking mechanism in the main thread. Unfortunately, it's perl-ness is causing problems due to perl's threading implementation (three words: "copy on init"), so we need to reimplement in a language with a more robust threading implementation (preferably one with copy-on-write for shared objects). So, Java it is.
    So far everything's been good - Executor, Callables, and Futures work as I hoped they would for proper thread management, and the internal worker thread logic (XML processing, SOAP, regular expressions, etc) is proving rather simple to adapt. However, the main roadblock I'm hitting is that so far, I have not found a way to register any sort of event handler for STDIN input (or more specifically, InputStreamReader/BufferedStreamReader events). This could be due to search engine pollution - everything I see when I search for documentation on event listeners appears to be GUI-specific (buttons, menus, text areas/forms, etc). I'm just looking for a way to handle a line of STDIN, not a text area on a form.
    Any pointers in the right direction will be much appreciated!

    Maybe I need to rethink the design here...
    The main reason I used a callback in the original perl is that there's a large cache structure that gets checked before the thread dispatch, and only cache misses get pushed to a thread for processing. Callbacks from the threads will then add its results to the cache. Thanks to perl's thread model, when I attempted to make the cache a shared structure - in perl, you have to explicitly mark as "shared" variables that you want visible to all threads - the structure wound up getting copied to every thread, and this gave the app an unacceptable memory footprint. So the solution was to use a callback in the main thread to update the cache.
    I'm now thinking that if Java's thread model is a bit saner (i.e. a shared object doesn't get copied into every thread), then I could just have each thread update the cache, print its output to STDOUT directly, and avoid the need for the callback. I can then make my input loop simply a while() loop, waiting for the next input to dispatch. Sound sane?Yes I think so.
    There is some of this I still don't entirely understand. Your loop sounds better now but it sounds to me like the process is this.
    1) read from in
    2) call some stuff on the basis of what came in
    3) do work
    4) workers produce things
    5) things written back out
    6) read back in??
    If you're just going in/out then great. If you are going in/out/in then maybe some sort of PipedInput/Output Streams? It may well be that I got lost in your explanation in which case never mind.

  • Specify handler for a logger in properties file

    Hello All,
    Is there a way of specifying a specific handler for a specific logger within the logging.properties file? I have not been able to find any documentation on the logging.properties file settings. I am looking for something like this:
    com.eric.program.handlers = java.util.logging.ConsoleHandler
    com.frank.handlers = java.util.logging.FileHandler
    I would rather keep all my settings within this properties file instead of coding it. If you know where I can find some documentation, please let me know. I am using J2SE 1.4.1.
    Thanks.

    Well, after failing to assign a handler to a specific logger, I checked the LogManager source code and, alas, it only supports assigning handlers to the root logger.
    What a bummer ... I think this is a real flaw in the LogManager design, especially since log4j supports assigning appenders to specific logger.
    The (more or less) good news is that LogManager is designed for subclassing (by j2ee container apps, but hey) ... so you can try to add this functionality to your own LogManager and use that through the system property java.util.logging.manager.

    while (ix < hands.length()) {
    int end = ix;

    break;
    if (hands.charAt(end) == ',') {
    break;
    end++;
    String word = hands.substring(ix, end);
    ix = end+1;
    word = word.trim();
    if (word.length() == 0) {
    continue;
    result.add(word);
    return (String[]) result.toArray(new String[result.size()]);
    On the other hand, it might be possible to write a reusable config class which does that kind of initialization, too.

  • How to configure Send Handler for BizTalk 2013 Dynamic Send Port on deployment?

    Hi,
    I do know how to manually configure a send handler for a dynamic send port in BizTalk 2013 Administration console. Though, once you export your application's configuration to a binding file, the dynamic send port's configuration does not
    contain any information regarding the send handler. When you try to use this binding file when deploying your application your dynamic port's send handler falls back to the default host instance.
    So my question is, how could we automate this process to avoid manual step in a dynamic port configuration during deployment?
    Thank you,
    --Vlad

    Hey vlad,
    As discussed at work in the office.. I woudl take the powershelll approach for now as a workaround.  Here's a trivial script for my local dev box (all in one biztalk & SQL)  (must be run in an x86 powershell session):
    param
     [string] $bizTalkDbServer = ".",
     [string] $bizTalkDbName = "BizTalkMgmtDb",
     [string] $fileHostInstance = "SendingHost",
     [string] $sendPortName = "sm_dynamic_sp_test"
    [System.reflection.Assembly]::LoadWithPartialName("Microsoft.BizTalk.ExplorerOM") | Out-Null
    $catalog = New-Object Microsoft.BizTalk.ExplorerOM.BtsCatalogExplorer
    $catalog.ConnectionString = "SERVER=$bizTalkDbServer;DATABASE=$bizTalkDbName;Integrated Security=SSPI"
    foreach($sp in $catalog.SendPorts)
     if($sp.Name -eq $sendPortName)
      "Found send port $($sp.Name), analyzing send handler"
      foreach($sh in $sp.DynamicSendHandlers)
       if($sh.SendHandler.TransportType.Name -eq "FILE")
        if($sh.SendHandler.Host.Name -ne $fileHostInstance)
         "Changing $($sh.Name) send handler to '$fileHostInstance' from '$($sh.SendHandler.Host.Name)'"
         $sp.SetSendHandler("FILE", $fileHostInstance)
        else
         "Send handler for $($sp.Name) is already '$fileHostInstance' ignorning .. "
    $catalog.SaveChanges()

  • Configure no. of session handled for same sql

    hi, experts,
    hi, if there is one report (only fire 1 sql by this report).
    if only one internet explorer to run this report , it use 3 minutes to get it.
    I use 3 internet explorers to run the same report but not running the report at the same time.
    firstly, I run the report on first internet explorer.
    then after 10 seconds, I run the report on 2nd internet explorer.
    then after 10 seconds, I run the report on 3rd internet explorer.
    after result on all internet explorer came, I check the sessions on the "Manage Sessions"
    there are 2 sessions for same report.
    How to configure no. of session handled for same sql on OBIEE?
    thank you very much!

    Here I see that at a particular time of the database , the number of session from v$session is "271" where as the number of session in the "v$resource_limit" is "280" . Here I get some differ among these parameters .
    Would anybody plz tell why the no of sessions differ between v$session and v$resource_limit parameters .
    The v$session views shows current sessions (which change rapidly), while the v$resource_limit shows the maximum resource utilization, like a high-water mark.
