Subtemplate access issue
I create a subtemplate it works fine in local by repviewing the report in MS Word except I cannot see the hidden parameters (such report ID, Report Name).
However it does not work in BI Publisher, neither HTTP nor FILE.
I have read Developer/Admin Guide, as well as blogs written by Tim, BIPConsulting and BIPGirl, none them can help me solve the problem.
Can you tell me how set this in BI publisher Admin side step by step so I can use this subtemplate.

There is however a catch to that. Please make sure no end user has access to upload
RTF templates after enabling this option. After this option is enabled, you can include
ANY XML file accessible on the server into an XSL style sheet
- such as application server security configuration files.
This is why this option is disabled by default. If only trusted developers/adminstrator have
permissions to upload RTF templates or XSL stylesheet, the solution is proably workablel.

Financial reporting 11 1 2 2 Access issue for a user
Hi All,
I have a report designer group for Financial reporting 11.1.2.2. I have created a group called FR_GROUP in HSS and provide them the report designer access and added three MSAD users.
Now as admin we have a created a folder in workspace called FR and gave the group FR_GROUP Full acces to this folder FR.
Now the issue is the MSAD user who created the repot in FR folder can see the reports and open them and also the admin user but the other two MSAD users cant see the reports.
Any ideas how to fix this access issue?

Intermittent access issue with Oracle Applications EBS R12.1.3 URL
We are facing intermittent access issue with EBS R12.1.3 URL .There are no errors generated in the access log and the IP from which we are using to access is the URL does not appear in the access log either.

The desired access setup looks like this.

For Rev2 - For Ops - Read ------and----- For Rev2 - For Sales - Write
I tried but could not set up the access as required.
If I set up User1 with Write for Rev1 then it gets overridden by the Read later.
Any ideas if this access setup can be achieved or if there is workaround this issue? Thanks.

Accessibility issues in dynamic PDF
Hi,
When a PDF is rendered as a dynamic form, we are having issues such as tables not being read by JAWS on screen reader.
Similarly check box values updated using javascript are not being recognized by the screen reader. Even though the value is updated by the script as 'checked', JAWS still reads it as 'unchecked'.
Note: Accessibility issues such as these seem to go away when the form is static. But we require the form to be dynamic.
We are using JAWS version 10.0 and Reader 9.0
Any help on this would be appreciated. Thanks.

VidyaI'd be interested to see how this gets resolved. I was fooling around with JAWS a little bit back and found that JAWS has trouble with multiple subforms (i.e. complex tables and subforms within subforms with tables, etc.)

I have the latest Reader: but I find I cannot access PDF documents from saved emails & directly from My Documents - I get the message 'H:\programme files\Adobe\Reader9.0\Eula.exe Windows cannot access the specified path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item' I am computer administrator.
I have Windows SP3
I use ZoneAlarm Pro & anti-virus (just in case this might be relevant)

It appears this is not an Adobe Reader issue at all. I have had the same trouble downloading an update to an unrelated programme.
The solution appears to be in ZoneAlarm Pro - I have set the trust level and access permissions for Internet Explorer to 'super trusted' and 'allow' (programme control - programmes), and this seems to have worked.
Other forums point the finger at restrictions in IE7 Enhanced Security feature, and to similar restrictions in some anti-virus/anti spyware programmes. Also, some .exe files for download come automatically blocked, & need unblocking (right-click the .exe, choose properties, then general tab, where there is an 'unblock' button at the bottom.

Access issue: doc.importdataobject("myPDF","/c/temp/outfile.pdf");
Hi,
I have a pdf created in livecycle designer es 8.2 and coded in Javascript. Currently this pdf is placed in the shared location from where users can access. When users hit the submit button then PDFCreator installed on user's machine creates a scanned pdf and place it on the local machine. This scan pdf is then embedded into the main pdf using privileged JavaScript function (doc.importdataobject("myPDF","/c/temp/outfile.pdf");).
Now, I want to place the main pdf on the server so that user can access the pdf using URL.
When user access the pdf using URL and hit the submit button, it's creating scan pdf on the user machine, but it's failing on the import statement -doc.importdataobject("myPDF","/c/temp/outfile.pdf");.
I am not sure whether this is access issue or I need to do something else.
The path /c/temp/outfile.pdf must be local machine path but I am assuming import statement is looking on server directory.
If I remove the path from the import statement, it pops up a dialog box for browse. After selecting the outfile.pdf it works fine. But I can't ask users to follow this process.

Otherwise you can't specify it yourself, but the user will need to select it manually.

Will Removal of sharepoint members group leads to access issues?
Hi,
we have a sharepoint 2013 site collection with 10 sub sites. On the top level I have members group with contribute permissions.
Due to some rules of organization, we created 3 different sharepoint groups giving contribute permissions at top level and added all the people from members group to these 3 groups based on some characteristics. After that we removed members group.
Since then when any one tries to log into the site, They are getting access required error.
If I add the members group back to the site, They are able to access.
My question is when the same person is already in one of the 3 groups with same contribute permissions at the top site level, How the removal of members group is leading to access issues?
Please guide me.

As Vishal said, you need to check the issue occurs with which content in the site collection when the users try to access.
The issue may be due to that the content the users try to access has stopped inheritance from its parent and the newly created groups have no permission on the content.
In most scenarios, the Site Members group will have permission on most items even when the items have unique permissions(Stop inheritance from its parent).
When the Site Members group has been removed and the new groups have no permission on those items, then the users in the new groups will get Access Denied error.
I recommend to use Site collection administrator account to check the permission on the item where users get access denied error.
And grant permission to the new groups on those items.

Apple has to be more user friendly than to let something like this happen, right?Did you change the ID, or did you create a new Apple ID? If you had simply changed the ID then what I suggested above should work as the ID itself is the same (even though the name of the ID - the address - has changed).
However if you created a new ID, logged in with that, and purchased items on it, then you have two separate IDs each with purchased associated with them. You say that you can't log in to the original account with the 'alternate' email - have you tried logging in with the original email address? It doesn't matter if it doesn't actually work to receive mail, as far as logging in is concerned it's just a text string. -

Essbase security filter access issue

we are facing access issue for users. we have provided the access as filter, its essbase only application. we dont see in display user table APP Access Type column essbase&Planning, only planning its showing..its 9.3.1 version. even sync native dir & essbase refresh done couple of times..but still issue persists.

In Projects->select server/app->selected user/grp->
right click the essbase icon and select "assign access control" > select your user/grp, here i can see only filters which already there and calc (none,no update, all& calcs).
I have selected one filter and none(calc option)->click on tick mark->save......but here i am getting message as "no changes to save" then done EAS refresh ....
still users are not able to login.getting error
"user <> not permitted to access application"
Note: other users have same access can able to login & we are able to see those users in users table as "essbase&Planning", but for problem users its still showing that only 'planning'

Even if I'm logged in Super User I do not have Super User right. As an exemple as I can create files but I cannot move or copy those. When i start some application I cannot managed it because I do not have Super User right.
Does any one have an idea?

Sorry if my attempt to be thorough in my description may result in excessive and unnecessary information.
I'm running into some problems with a single server running WS 2012 R2 as a domain controller (AD and DNS) and I’m trying to figure out what the cause is.
The network has ~10 computers on it connected through a cable business gateway (running DHCP) which feeds 2 switches and a wireless router acting as a switch. (I also turned on remote services, but the end users aren’t using that until I get certificates
setup.)
For 6+ months everyone had access to the shared files and databases on each workstation without issue.
In the last month users would occasionally have to re-enter their credentials to get access to shared server folders despite being on a domain account already.
Last week one of the computers intermittently cannot gain access to the shared folders– entering the correct credentials just results in the credentials being requested again and again: There’s an error icon at the bottom saying that “there are currently
no logon servers available to service the logon request”. While access is rejected I’m still able to ping the DC both via its name and IPV4 address.
(Pinging via its name results in an IPv6 address in the response.)
Other network connectivity appears intact (able to browse the web, perform network discovery.)
Things that ‘seem’ to allow access on this computer until the next failure:
Entering a different domain username and password into the windows credentials request has allowed access a couple of times.
Disconnecting and reconnecting the network cable allowed the original username to be used to log on (at least once.)
After removing it from and then rejoining it to the domain (a few hours ago) it experienced the problem once more. Also, logging on with domain credentials created a TEMP user folder instead of the folder with the domain username.
Looking at the event logs, I notice there are quite a few warnings and errors reported regarding DC access on many of the computers; maybe this is normal?
Most Problematic Computer:
Event ID 8016: System failed to register host A or AAAA resource records. (With an unknown Ipv6 and the server’s ipv4 address in the DNS server list.)
Event ID 131: NtpClient unable to set a domain peer to use as a time source because of DNS resolution error on ‘Server.domain.local’
‘No such host is known.”
Event ID 5719: NETLOGON. This computer was not able to setup a secure session with a domain controller in the domain due …..: there are currently no logon servers available to service the logon request.
And then pairs of: Event 1500: The Group Policy settings for the computer were processed successfully. There were no changes detected since the last successful processing of Group Policy. & Event 1054:
The processing of Group Policy failed. Windows could not obtain the name of a domain controller. This could be caused by a name resolution failure. Verify your Domain Name System (DNS) is configured and working correctly.
Event 1030: The processing of Group Policy failed. Windows attempted to retrieve new Group Policy settings for this user or computer. Look in the details tab for error code and description. Windows will automatically retry this operation
at the next refresh cycle. Computers joined to the domain must have proper name resolution and network connectivity to a domain controller for discovery of new Group Policy objects and settings. An event will be logged when Group Policy is successful.
On the server I’ve run DCDIAG and DCDIAG /test:DNS and those all appeared to pass.

Any thoughts? I was assuming it was a Domain Controller/DNS error, but I don't know where to check next. Could a failing piece of hardware be the culprit?

According to the error you have posted.
A Netlogon 5719 event indicates that the client component of Netlogon was unable to locate a DC for the domain it was trying to perform an operation against.
Most of the time this is caused by network issues or name resolution (DNS/WINS) issues, you could refer to:
Netlogon 5719 and the Disappearing Domain [Controller]

ColdFusion 10/IIS 7.5 Authorized Access Issue
I've installed ColdFusion 10 on my Windows VPS, running IIS 7.5. The VPS is managed through Plesk 11.
Everything works great if I'm just trying to access an HTML file as shown here: http://broncotime.info. However, if I try to access a .cfm page, I get a login screen that prompts for my User Name and Password, see http://broncotime.info/index.cfm
If I hit cancel while logged in locally on the server, I'll see the error message:
HTTP Error 401.3 - Unauthorized
You do not have permission to view this directory or page because of the access control list (ACL) configuration or encryption settings for this resource on the Web server.

From everything I've read, including the on-page 'likely causes', it's an issue where the user doesn't have the correct permissions. However, I've updated all the files within C:\Inetpub\vhosts\econsummit.secureserver.net\broncotime.info\ and c:\ColdFusion10\cfusion\wwwroot to have read\execute permissions for everyone. So I'm unsure where the permission issue could be since it seems like I covered all my bases there.
I've also updated the Anonymous Authentication (within the IIS settings) to point to Application pool identity as specified by other folks who have experienced this. To no avail!
So my question is: How do I make my ColdFusion pages viewable to the public?
One more not since this may factor in somewhere...none of the user accounts set up for the server actually work for the prompted authentication.

AaronI did find this page entitled Coldfusion, IIS7, Plesk and 401 Authentication that seems to address the issue but like the comments from the users at the bottom of that page, I don't have ColdFusion listed in the Plesk reconfigurator.

I just set up a leopard server 2 days back and everything seems to work properly. It is behind a router/switch. I configured my MBP as a directory client and that went fine too. Expect I'm having issues while accessing certain things:
1) Mail can't access the Gmail IMAP server and other external servers, It DOES connect to the leopard server's mail service.
2) Adium looses connection to AIM/MSN etc.
3) I cannot access any web sites in Safari (Amazingly enough I found out that I can access Wikipedia.org but can't go to any other sites, even Apple.com doesn't work) this shows there is internet connection but leopard is acting goofy.
Interestingly, Transmission works fine... It downloads & uploads torrents perfectly fine.
Windows machines on the network seem to work fine. only Leopard clients are acting up.
I tried making a VPN connection to the leopard server from my MBP and then I can access everything. But it's not the solution I'm looking for since VPN connection drops every now and then. Plus it doesn't really make sense to make a VPN connection while you're on the LAN.
Any ideas what's wrong? How to go about solving this issue. This is my first Mac Server so I'm out of ideas.The Mac clients automatically configured themselves to use the Leopard server as the DNS server... which was causing the issue... properly delegated the DNS and everything is up and running!
