Subvi is not executable error, but it has no error

Hey I hope you can help me with a weird error.
I got the error "SubVi 'name' : SubVi is not executable" but when I click on the SubVi and open it it does not show me any description of an error. If I open the main vi or the SubVi alone it shows no error. Could it be a problem of a library or something else?
I am using Labview 2012 and Labview 2012 Mindstorms NXT.
If you neew more screenshots or the rest of the SubVis please tell me so :-)

I found the error, the NXT does not support global variables in Target on NXT- Mode so I changed to Target on Computer - Mode and now it works.

After a very quick look at the code I would say that it is probably bad code. Your overuse of global variables, sequence structures and silly things like a For loop set to run once with everything inside the loop wrapped in a sequence frame is a goo dindication that you need to learn much more about data flow programming techniques. With the amount of global variables you are using your program is probably ripe with race conditions. In addition, you did not include any of the subVIs so we cannot see what is happening in them.

1. Create a blank vi, put a VI filter in the block diagram (this should not be functional as it is not wired), copy it and paste it in my other project. I believe if the filter is the first vi of a blank project, it is funcitonal and then you may copy it wherever you need to.

Very strange error. Actually, there are no required inputs on this express VI, so it should be able to run even without wires. It is not correct as you said: "this should not be functional as it is not wired". Nothing will happen, true, but the run arrow should not be broken.
For some reason, the VI with the Filter express VI fails to compile. I tried it on my computer (LV 2013) and get no error when I add it to a new VI. As was suggested in the linked forum thread, you need to open the front panel of the Filter VI and run it to see the explicit error.
If you do, do you also get the error:
"This VI claims to be part of a library that does not include the VI. The VI might have been deleted from the library. Add the VI to the library again or select File - Disconnect from the library."?
If you do, it seems that you may have a project library somewhere that has taken ownership of the express VI. The ownership prevents you from running or editing the express VI. To free the VI, you need to do one of two things. Either, you need to load the library into memory, or you need to disconnect the VI from the library. Either way, you need to find the project library that has taken the ownership of the VI. As soon as it is released, it should run for you. You release it by selecting File»Disconnect from Library on the VI.
The workaround described in your link (and also here: http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/compatibility-problem-labview-2009-2010-2011-quot-This-VI-claims/td-... tells that you can make a copy of the VI and thereby create another instance that is free. This solution may work for you as well, but if not, you may not have created the copy properly. Maybe your copy of the VI also became part of some project library that took ownership. In either way, you should rather find the project library to release the VI before trying the workaround to copy it.
If project library ownership is not the problem, maybe the problem is connected to LV 2011, as most forum posters report that it only happens here.

Open Specific WorkBook.vi: subVI is not executable error

I'm trying to programaticaly change some cells of a specific worksheet and then saving it on a new file.
But I can't run the VI because I get the error Open Specific WorkBook.vi: subVI is not executable.
I've atteched a printscreen of my VI.

Script Task Builds Successfully But Still Has Compile Error (SQL 2012)

This is repost in a way but the problem has not gone away and I really need to find a solution.
I have some script from SSIS 2008 that uses the ReportExecution2005
web service to execute SSRS reports and save the results to Excel. There were some initial problems with confusion between Web Service Reference (legacy?) and Service Reference (WCF) but I think that I have that sorted out
now.
The remaining problem is that, while the VB script (which I have pasted in from a working SSIS 2008 Script Task) builds/complies without error, I get a compile error when I close the Script Task and it has the dreaded "Red X" in the Control
Flow. If I attempt to run the package I get a message box saying that there is a compile error.
How can I identify the problem and fix the error? The script itself has no errors in SSIS 2008.

I can build the code without error but I get an error, saying that there is compile error, when I close the Script Task.
ReportExecutionService definitely shows up in Object Explorer, not the
WCF "equivalent" of ReportExecutionServiceSoapClient.
I have always had the impression, that when you close a Script Task, a compiler kicks in to auto-generate some internal script. Could it be (as seems likely) that this compiler is picking up errors that "Build" doesn't (when the script is open)?
I think that there was once an explicit Compile rather than just Build option in the Script editing environment but I can't find it in SQL 2012 Database Tools (nee BIDS).

@Inol ...yea i have configrd the mail server(smtp) properties in report server,when the destype is file, the url works fine.i.e generate the file on specified location.
but using destype mail, it fails, whether i use the url, or use the even driven api procedure..
Running the procedure its the debugged out put with error...

I am using Oracle 10g Rel2 application server on linux environment. I am calling oracle reports from forms i am getting REP-50159: Executed successfully but there were some errors when distribute error.
I am using Destype :PRINTER and Desname:Printername. Please help us in resloving this issue.

Try editing rwlpr.sh in $ORACLEHOME/bin and change the lines (at around line 172) from

During the development of a bigger labview project, I came to need filtering of my waveforms at some point. I am getting a broken arrow signaling the filter assistant :
"SubVI 'Filter' : SuvVI is not executable"
I thought it could have something to see with the whole program and thus created a simple VI of acquisition from a myDAQ aparatus and had the same error.
Do you have any idea how I could at least identify the error?

If you open the SubVI Filter and hit Ctrl+R LabVIEW should tell you what you need to fix in that VI.

Iphone will not send sms, but there is no error message

Hi!
I sent a sms to a friend of mine two days ago, but I got no response.
I contacted NetCom, but the message had not gone out to their net. It had never "left" the phone.
There is no error message on the phone.
Does anyone know what I need to do to get this message sent?

I don't know what SMS provision means..
There is no exclamation mark next to the message, so it seems that the phone thinks it has sent the message. But it has not arrived NetCom's mobile network to be sent to receiver... I don't understand why.

Since some of these reference each other, this is the block diagram of one that doesn't reference any other erroring vi's.

Interesting... It must have timed out before the temporary image did, and so I did not noticed a problem until I returned.
Regardlessly, I have found the error.
Errors did exist in my VI's, In particular, one of the subVi's I called in the VI shown happened to be private only, and so couldn't be used -- now I've just made a public version for my personal use. But LabView would not show me the actual errors unless I force-ran the the program, I really don't know why I had to do this, but when I did, it showed me a nice little dialog with my errors in it.
I am confused, as when I did normal runs, it would simply complain that the VI's were invalid and would not permit the run.
Very odd.

SSUS 2012 Script Component (VB) Build But Still Has Compile Error

The title says it all really.
The Script Component builds without error but when I close the editor (and when I execute the package), I get a message saying that there is a compile error. There is of course a big red "X on the script component. No errors are indicated in the edit
window or when building the script. Can anyone help? this is really holding me up.
The script has been copied from a working SSIS 2008 package. It uses the report execution web method. I have successfully changed the web reference to ReportExcution2010, there doesn't seem to be a RepprtExcution2012.

It's probably best to close thread and that I start a new one. I think that I have gone off on a tangent here. Yes SSIS isn't doing much of a job in reporting errors but my main concern is the error itself.
I am trying to port an SSIS Script Task from SQL 2008 to SQL 2012. Is uses the ReportExecution2005 web service to run SSRS reports. The really strange thing is that, even though the same web reference is used, different methods seem
to be available in SQL 2008 and SQL 2012. This doesn't sound right to me, if you refer to the same Web Service you should see the same metros or am I wrong about that.
For example in SQL 2008 there is ReportExecutionService
object but on the SQL 2012 to service there only seems to be
ReportExecutionServiceSOAPClient.

EN is not activated for smartform and has no errors

Hi Everyone,
I was looking at couple of threads on topic "smartform name" EN is not activated and has no errors, but I couldn't get a proper answer. So posting my query here.
I had a created a smartform for dunning process for languages F (French) and N (Dutch). While creating, in language attributes, under translation I had chosen the radio button Into selected languages and specified the languages and at the window level also I had maintained the condition on the language key (eg: wa_tab-spras) and activated without any errors.
After the configuration when we are checking it for a FR customer or NL customer, we are getting error saying "For smartform EN is not activated and has no errors".
Please suggest me how can I fix this error. Hoping for a solution...

Adobe Updates not downloading - available but "try again later" error with link to "serial number not qualifying"

I just upgraded computers (PC w/Windows 8 64 bit) and I did a fresh install of my copy of Adobe Photoshop CS5 (along with Bridge and Camera Raw).
The install asked for serial numbers which I provided and the installation was a success - however, I can not view full resolution images, only thumbs
in Bridge and I can not open RAW files from my Canon 5D Mark III (though, I can my files with the older Canon 7D). I WAS able to view and work with
the newer RAW files on the older computer.
Under "Help", "Updates", it says they are available but after appearing to upload to my computers, I get this:

What gives? It was a qualifying product a few months back. Even if Adobe stopped supporting CS5 (???), I should still have access to past updates
that I had already once received.
I tried 3 times in 1 hour - no luck in getting back to a state I was in only yesterday, and months earlier.

Apparently, Adobe has very little interest in it's past customers unless they shell out more cash.
I have never seen such a move as this - to REMOVE support and older update links off the Web in an effort to force an upgrade.
My tech support stated (after first stating I was simply out of luck) that he was graciously allowed to make an exception and provided me with a link to support that is strangely
hidden and /or removed from public access.

I have a new hard drive and itunes and my computer (windows XP) no longer recognise my ipod. I also had the problem with the registry keys not being present but this has now been fixed. However i can no longer link my ipod up with itunes.

When I first tried itunes with my new hard drive there was the problem with the registry keys but something also flagged up about needing a signed driver. Is this anything to do with why Itunes and my computer no longer recognises when my ipod is linked up? Whatever i try under 'devices' my ipod is never available to sync up. If anyone can help I would be most grateful.

After following the instructions, I get the "registry keys missing" problem appear again (which I've subsequently fixed again) and then when I connected the ipod I got the following message - 'Device driver software was not successfully installed'.
I've tried windows update but this doesn't do anything as '...the service is not running'.
Any suggestions?

My imported songs into itunes match are not being uploaded but they are giving error messages

So when I am adding songs to my itunes library I am having issues with these songs being uploaded. I called apple support last time and they fixed the issue with me but it's started all over again. These songs have the little cloud with an exclamation point beside them and they say an error has occurred when uploading when i click on them. I have turned itunes match on and off and that didn't resolve the issue. Any ideas?

When you have that alert icon, generally that means iTunes can't find the original file. What happens if you do a Get Info on the track?
