Successfully connected clients disconnetcs after seconds

Hello,
I'm having troubles with AP541N in clustered mode.
The problem is that clients connects successfully but get disconnected  after seconds without any visible reason.
The AP541N is configured to authenticate the clients against a Symantec Network Access Control (SNAC) and a radius server.
eventlog from radius server:
"User xxxxxx was granted access."
SNAC log:
Client[0000000c] xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, Status Recevied(HI:PASSED, EAP:PASSED, PRO:PASSED), UID is CORRECT, Enforcer matches(HI:PASSED, EAP:PASSED, PRO:ANY), switch VLAN XXXX on switch nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn.
client settings (Windows 7 32-bit):
WPA2-Enterprise/AES
EAP-Typ: secured EAP (PEAP)
This problems happens not to all clients (all clients are Dell Latitude laptops with Intel Wifi, but different models).
When I use eg. a D-Link USB Wifi adapter in a laptop causing troubles, the connection will work fine, no disconnects.
I have tested with Intel driver version 13.4.0.139
When I connect a laptop causing troubles to another access point (eg. D-Link) it will work fine.
Any ideas to solve the problem are welcome.

  • [SOLVED]Wifi almost instantly dropping out after successful connection

    Hi,
I'm having an issue where my wifi connection drops about 1-2 seconds after connecting. I'm able to load 1 website in that time usually, then it drops. I was using wicd, but switched to netctl and I'm getting exactly the same issue. Wired is unaffected and works perfectly. I only have this issue with Arch, Windows seems fine.
Can anyone advise me on how best to debug this issue? Here is my 'lspci -nn' output:

The dhcpcd fails even though I'm successfully connected via wired connection, can I disable that if I'm using netctl?

Don't run both netctl and dhcpd service for the same interface.  Netctl will invoke dhcpcd when it needs it.  The dhcpcd service will fight with netctl.

  • Wifi disconnects after connecting for a few seconds [SOLVED]

I have an interesting situation and perhaps you guys can give me a hand.
I'm installing Arch on a system that only has a WiFi; no big deal.
So, I get the live CD and
    1. Start it and choose the network install (that's the only choice for this CD)
    2. Go to tty2 and issue the following commands:
    a. ifconfig wlan0 up
    b. iwlist scan and I get:

Thank you for the reply guys!!
@treysis, In the logs I got an error something like "<eissid> deauthenticated (reason 6)" or something to that effect and I was wondering what that means... I suppose you are correct and that the system is trying to tell me that I need to use wpa_supplicant. I hope that's part of the install CD
I'll give it a try and I'll report back .
Thanks for the help and ideas.

  • After the upgrade to the new firmware, time capsule disconnect the imac (wireless connection by airport) after few seconds. NEED HELP!

    I have:
    imac 24" (year 2008) OsX 10.6.8.
    Time Capsule  (year 2010) 2Tb.
    Wireles connectio by Airport v5.6.1
    Problem:
Since the last firmware update of the time capsule, the connection is lost after a few seconds.
Note: a windows 7 pc is connected to the time capsule too, without problems!
    Can someone help me, please!

Go back to 7.6.1 at least.. do not use 7.6.3 firmware.. as it has wireless issues.
You go back by selecting firmware update with option key held down.

  • Airport Extreme goes down a few minutes after successful connect

I have a new Eee PC 1000 and an Airport Extreme base station. Both support 802.11n I can connect just fine, but after being connected for ten minutes or so, the connection stops working. Worse, it also makes my Mac Mini's wifi connection to the Airport Extreme base station stop working, and the Airport Extreme has to be power cycled before a computer can successfully connect to it again.
I happened to purchase a new Airport Extreme base station for another location a few days ago, and found the same problem. In both cases, the problem was 100% repeatable.
Has anyone else experienced this, or anything similar? Can anyone please suggest a fix?

"Has anyone else experienced this, or anything similar? " - just read half a dozen messages on this forum - thousands are experiencing this or related issues!
"Can anyone please suggest a fix?" - there's no shortage of suggestions, but none seem to actually work! The most successful I have found to date is disabling "n" and forcing it back to "b/g" - but even that only reduces the frequency of disconnects to one or two per day...
Only fix I know is to put it on eBay and buy Netgear - but even then my Mac Book drops out inconveniently frequently!

  • 5 won't stop looking for network after successful connection

iPhone5 won't stop looking for wifi network after successful connection. Told by tier2 support it is software issue. Complete reset didn't work
    Thanks

You do have to unmount any Network Drives when/before moving to another location.
I'm thinking the APPs that don't work right have some pref on the non-existing network drive/cpu, for instance, if they automatically open the last doc used.

yeah,I got it.Everything is ok now.
After change IP,we must open TopologyManager:change the JDBC connection of workrepository which must chose in Designer.
when we open the Designer ,it will connect to db.then coonect to workrepository with original IP.So,we must rechange workrepository's JDBC first!

  • FreeNX client quits after connection

I've installed the FreeNX server on my desktop and my laptop is running the nxclient. I can successfully connect/authenticate, but the session quits immediately after I see the NX logo.
Is there a log file somewhere for this? I could not find anything of use.  Also, it might be worth noting that I am using openbox as the WM and my .xinitrc file uses consolekit and dbus to launch openbox-session.

Normally, the logs files is in /tmp or ~/.nx.
Probably the problem is the ssh key authentication.

  • OpenScript & ant ssh - "Cannot get a connection from helper after 120 seconds"

Hi, I'm trying to run openscript tests (with runscript.bat file) from hudson. I'm connecting to windows XP machine through ssh and executing batch file, but execution of scipt finishes with error "Cannot get a connection from helper after 120 seconds". This error occurs when openscript tries to run test on Internet Explorer. If IE is not nescessary, test finishes with OK. When running batch directly on windows (without hudson and ssh, but on the same user) everything works fine. Has enyone met with such issue ?

    Hi,
What Jules has suggested should work, but I have also used the following to get scripts working from OTM -
OATS Application service - run as a user with local admin rights
    helper service - local system
OATS agent service - set to manual
Then, run the agent service as a console app -
    1. run a cmd prompt
    2. Run c:\> C:\OracleATS\agentmanager\bin\AgentManagerService.exe -c C:\OracleATS\agentmanager\bin\\AgentManagerService.conf
    3. Execute the script from OTM
If the agent is running on a machine separate to OTM then the user will have to remain logged in.
    Cheers,
    Jamie

    Hello Michael,
The problem here is because we cannot succesfully establish a DTLS tunnel. This could happen because:
    - DTLS is blocked somewhere in the path
    - A non-default DTLS port is being used
If DTLS is blocked in the middle the issue is because as of ASA Release 9.x and AnyConnect Release 3.x, an optimization has been introduced in the form of distinct Maximum Transition Units (MTUs) that are negotiated for TLS/DTLS between the client/ASA. Previously, the client derived a rough estimate MTU which covered both TLS/DTLS and was obviously less than optimal. Now, the ASA computes the encapsulation overhead for both TLS/DTLS and derives the MTU values accordingly.
As long as DTLS is enabled, the client applies the DTLS MTU (in this case 1418) on the VPN adapter (which is enabled before the DTLS tunnel is established and is needed for routes/filters enforcement), to ensure optimum performance. If the DTLS tunnel cannot be established or it is dropped at some point, the client fails over to TLS and adjusts the MTU on the virtual adapter (VA) to the TLS MTU value (this requires a session level reconnect).
In order to eliminate this visible transition of DTLS > TLS,  you can configure a separate tunnel group for TLS only access for users that have trouble with the establishment of the DTLS tunnel (such as due to firewall restrictions).
    1. The best option is to set the AnyConnect MTU value to be lower than the TLS MTU, which is then negotiated.
    group-policy ac_users_group attributes
    webvpn
      anyconnect mtu 1300
This makes TLS and DTLS MTU values equal. Reconnections are not seen in this case.
    2. The second option is to allow fragmentation.
    group-policy ac_users_group attributes
    webvpn
      anyconnect ssl df-bit-ignore enable
With fragmentation, large packets (whose size exceeds the MTU value) can be fragmented and sent through the TLS tunnel.
    3. The third option is to set the Maximum Segment Size (MSS) to 1460 as follows:
    sysopt conn tcpmss 1460
In this case, the TLS MTU will be 1427 (RC4/SHA1) which is larger than the DTLS MTU 1418 (AES/SHA1/LZS). This should resolve the issue with TCP from the ASA to the AnyConnect client (thanks to MSS), but large UDP traffic from the ASA to the AnyConnect client might suffer from this as it will be dropped by the AnyConnect client due to the lower AnyConnect client MTU 1418. If sysopt conn tcpmss is modified, it might affect other features such as LAN-to-LAN (L2L) IPSec VPN tunnels.
If DTLS is not blocked in the middle another potential cause for the DTLS failure that DTLS is configured on a non-default port after the WebVPN is enabled (for example, when the webvpn enable outside command is entered). This is due to Cisco bug ID CSCuh61321 and has been seen in Release 9.x where the ASA pushes the non-default port to the client, but continues to listen to the default port. Consequently, the DTLS is not built and AnyConnect reconnects.
The workaround for this problem is:
    Disable the WebVPN.
    Enter the DTLS port.
    Enable the WebVPN.

    -Gustavo Medina

  • SyncBos missing in client app after synchronization

    Hi all,
my use case is about inventory and is defined like this:
    1. download inventory document to client(= syncbo type S01)
    2. lock inventory document in backend system
2.a) modify header field in syncbo
2.b) start synchronisation with SyncManager (with SyncBoOutDeltaSendType.SEND_DIRECT)
    3. load inventory document again for counting
    4. counting and entering data for all items of the inventory document with modify item field
    5. synchronize again to post counting results to the backend system
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
After the first synchronization (2.b) the access to the syncbos is lost in the client until the application is restarted. The error occurs at the line
    SyncBoDescriptor sbd = descriptorFacade.getSyncBoDescriptor(syncBoName);
Although the descriptorFacade is correctly instantiated, the sbd returned is null and of course access to the syncbos is lost.
What needs to be done to be able to access the syncbos after synchronization.
    Thanks for help,
    Matthias

    Hi,
Patch 05 didn´t solve the problem. Here is the (long) client trace with the first synchronization and the subsequent java exception at 20051102 09:53:54:450
    Thanks,
    Matthias

  • Network connection stops working after 3 days

My Mini is never switched off, but is often put to sleep. After near-faultless operation since new, it has recently (possibly coinciding with the upgrade to 10.4.10) started having a recurring networking issue.
After a small number of days, the network connection becomes unusable - neither Safari or Mail will work. Strangely other tools appear OK (e.g. traceroute www.whereiwork.com worked fine). Rebooting always temporarily fixes the issue.
The time interval may vary, but on this most recent occassion I checked the uptime before rebooting, and it was just 3 days.
Next time it occurs, what can I do to identify the cause of the problem?

Well, just under 4 days since the last reboot and it's done the same again...
It seems it's not entirely failed, but certainly doesn't work well enough to be useful.
e.g. if I start a ChickenOfTheVNC session to another machine on the LAN it appears to make a successful connection and creates a window of the right size but never fills it in. The server machine agrees that a connection has been made, but disconnects the client after a long-ish timeout.
Some other semi-random things I've tried:
/etc/resolv.conf has an entry in it referring to my router.
    ifconfig en0 down
    ifconfig en0 up
    ...makes no difference
Unplugging, then replugging the Cat5 makes no difference.
Rebooting the router makes no difference.
Not knowing enough about the inner workings of OS X, I'm going to have to resort to a machine reboot again. If anybody has any bright ideas for debugging this, it's due to go again sometime on Saturday afternoon.
(The procedure for "rolling back to .9" seems more disruptive than the problem itself, for now at least...)

  • Remote Desktop Connection Client 9.3.9600 unable to connect to Server 2012 RDS via Gateway

    Hi,
I have a Windows Sever 2012 R2 RDS environment with two Gateways servers configured in high availability mode (RD Web Access, RD Gateway, RD Connection Broker roles installed) and four Windows Server 2012 R2 RDS Session Hosts. The servers are all running
the most recent public server updates. With this configuration I when connecting externally using a Windows 7 computer with the older Remote Desktop Connection client (6.1.7601) I am able to connect without any problems however when I try connecting with a
newer client from a computer running Windows 8.1 and the 9.3.9600 client I am unable to connect.
At the moment a NAT rule is configured to pass 80/443 traffic to only one of the RDS gateway servers, I've removed our load balancer from the configuration for the moment to reduce the complexity.
No error is generated by the client when it tries to connect it just stops trying to connect after a while.
On the Gateways servers event logs for
Things I have looked into so far.
    - I've double and triple checked the RDS configuration and checked it against one of my other clients configurations that is working and they are identical.
    - Connecting from an older client version works fine.
I'm not sure what else can be checked does anyone have any ideas?

    Hi,
    1. What entries are you seeing in the RD Gateway's log?  Event Viewer\ Applications and Services Logs\ Microsoft\ Windows\ TerminalServices-Gateway
    2. How come you are not forwarding UDP port 3391 in addition to TCP port 443?  It should work without UDP, but you will not have UDP support which is one of the benefits of RDP 8.0/8.1.
    3. Are there any non-default group policy settings being applied to the servers and/or client PCs?  To be clear, I'm asking if any changes have been made to the default local and domain security policies, group policy objects, new GPOs that may have
been added, etc., that are applicable to the servers and or client PCs.
    -TP
