Suggest plsql code for form security during runtime

I made a project using forms 6I . I created 4 forms in all. I created a Menu item too like create,insert, delete,modify records, reports print etc. Now What I want is if user want to enter a particular form he should select appropriate menu item from the menu But what I my exact need is if user attempt to enter a form a small popup dialogue box should be displayed in the middle of the screen and asks for a password . So I want a pl&sql function or procedure which creates a default password and match the same when the user enterered the same in popup dialogue box and allow or reject the user request. Please suggest me a full DETAILED PL/SQL CODE FOR THIS PURPOSE. OR ANY FORM 6I FEATURE.

The dialog box is part of the ftandard Forms functionality. What you need to do is set up the user account with the password set to EXPIRED and no grace logins. The Admin Guide tells you how to do this.

Change Form Size during runtime

Could someone tell me how to change the size of my VI form during runtime?
I want the ability to click a button and have the height increase by 50 points or so, then go back to the original value after I click the button again.

Ok, that got me on the right track.
For some reason, though, my VI still does not change whenever I click the button.
I have attached my VI, saved in 8.2 format.
Does anyone see why my form doesn't grow by "98" whenever I click the "More >>" button?

You can submit the page with a request say "MY_REQUEST" and run a conditional PLSQL block(request equal to MY_REQUEST) and add the PLSQL code there.
If you want to do it without submitting page

Problem signing code for application with embedded runtime

Hi,
I have an Adobe Air application which I am publishing with the runtime embedded. There are lots of reasons for publishing this way.
I have already seen an unknown publisher message after signing on Windows 8 and a tester reported the same thing on Windows 7. According to the cert issuer (DigiCert) I need to have an Extended Validation (EV) certificate to get by the Windows 8 issue, but there was no explanation on the Windows 7 issue.
As the windows file is essentially a folder wiith ".app" appended to it's name, I'm not sure how signing (which I am doing with the Signature tab on the Flash GUI) ensures that the executable contained in that file is signed.
Can anyone tell me anything about code signing when publishing an AIR application with embedded runtime?

PLSQL Code for Substracting / Reducing Quantity

Hi All
I have two tables Cash and Product. Cash table has cash related sales in it. Product has product information in it.
End user selects the products and specifying their quantity in cash form then saves it. The quantity must be reduced or deducted form product table before the next cash sale is booked in cash so it will reflect the actual stock or quantity of product.
My question is how to know the end user has selected which product and it's quantity?
What would be the code?

Hi,
If you don't already have one, add a quantity_in_stock column to the product table, with a check constraint that guarantees this column is greater than or equal to 0.
Add a trigger to the cash table, to change product.quantity_in_stock when any change is made to the cash table, somehting like this untested example:

(a) a row is deleted
(b) a row is updated with a different quantity
(c) a row is updated with a different product_id (and perhaps a different quantity)
We want to avoid doing two UPDATES on the same row of product in the same call to this trigger. That's why I used the local variable net_amount.

Caught unaware of 2 queries.
1.I have added the com.sap.aii.utilxi.core.io.IOUtil jar files from the PI server even though its displays error "The com.sap.aii.utilxi can not be resolved". Also I added the XPI libraries in NWDS but nothing moving to solve the issue.
2. I have commented the line of code where I have placed a test file in the path to test it i.e. JSON.text. But when it is deployed as Archived files, then this code has to be replaced.
The Method toString(InputStream) in the type IOUtils is not applicable for the arguments (String)

I have worked on coulple of 10g BPEL human tasks and I remember '.tform' file used to capture

If you already have a bpm/bpel application in soa 11g, open that in JDeveloper and serach for the file named hwtaskflow.xml. This file will be under your taskforms project -> Application Sources.
In JDev, for each human task, there is a .task file generated with payload details, actions that task is allowed etc. We can generate taskform for this .task using autogenerte or custom. Either way the above file will have the details like the association of the actual Task and correspond taskform jspx file. If you are familiar with the ADF architecture like bindings you can understand much better.
In EM console, click on the workflow file that is deployed under your soa_doamin. On right side, you will see list of all the human tasks and click on any human task. You will see the uri for that task. This is the reference for the deployed composite for that task. Now the above .xml file will have the exact human task name with additional information like which pageflow defintion file to invoke. All the pageflows xml files are under your taskforms\web-inf folder.

Need Sample Code for Form-based Authentication

Hello.
I'm trying to setup Form-based Authentication. I keep reading the same (limited) documentation about putting this in your server's .xml files:

Discount codes for web forms

I have been using two web forms to allow access to a secure zone. Of them, one is for the trial user access and another is for the paid user access.
The problem is: Can I use discount codes for the secure zone access? I can't see the way of integrating eCommerce discount codes with web forms.

Discount codes don't actually work with secure zone access since you have to accept payment through web forms. However, I hired an outside developer to write some code for me, which I don't mind sharing:

One thing I want to add is a validation for the coupon update action. If the coupon is no longer valid or entered incorrectly, a message would be great, because the person might no even notice the fact that the amount did not change even though they think they entered a valid discount code.

Free Form Template and Combining Chart Values during Runtim

Hi Guys,
Need your expertise on this. We received some unreasonable request for the following:
1. Free Form Template DURING Runtime
- moving charts from one place to another by dragging them from one place to another during runtime
2. Combining of Chart values during Runtime
-to be able to mash-up 2 different charts during runtime. For example, dragging a chart to another chart
would result to a combined-value of chart. For instance, you have a Sales Chart and a Production Chart,
if and when Sales Chart is dragged and placed on top of Production Chart then it would mash-up the values
and will produce only one chart.
Is this even possible?

1. Free form template is not possible with current version of Dashboard Designer. You may use the option of Dynamic Visibility to simulate this. But this might not serve your requirement 100 %.
2. Your requirement of mixing up chart just by dragging and droping on another is coming under Designing part. For designing we need software, in my point of view. Xcelsius is a Tool to generate required output in various formats. Here we need to finalise the output such as chart type/ data to be displayed/ format to be displayed, etc and while viewing we may play with data but not with objects other than dynamic visibility.

Is there a utility to import security for Forms?

I have used the importsecurity.exe utility to successfully import entity, account, and other dimension security. But it doesn't work for Form security. Is there another way or a way to trick the utility and use it for forms?
Version 9.2.1 Windows environment. SQL server is the database

I have over 200 forms for one application with over 700 lines of security.
As a test, I manually added a few rows of security directly into the HSP_access_control table and restarted the planning service and that worked. So it looks like I could load all the data directly via a SQL query to accomplish this. I merely need to match-up my object names and related object security from PROD to the object_id's and group ID's in Dev (which are slightly different due to dev and prod security being out of sync)
Any thoughts on what could go wrong??
