Suggestion for WSDL Code Generation

I need to generate multiple WSDL's into the same package in
Flex.
These WSDL's define a common set of classes and many unique
classes.
The generation fails because some of the files already exist.
It would be nice if this could be interactive and allow the
user to skip or overwrite certain files during generation.
This would allow us to use multiple WSDL's in this fashion
with minimal effort on our part.

That's a good suggestion. Please be sure to enter it as an
enhancement in the public bug database.

  • Error during distribution for compiled code generation-Reply

    Hi,
    Looking at your error messages, it looks as though your build is failing during the code generation phase of an autocompilation. To determine why the code generator crashed, either look in the $FORTE_ROOT/log/forte_ex*.log files or don't use autocompilation and use fcompile.
    There are many reasons why the code generator could crash. Some of the things I've come across are running out of memory and trying to find invalid classes.
    If its the invalid class problem you'll find a message like:
    Generating code for partition BLTCustomWindow_cl0_Part1.

    The solution for this instance is to clean up the invalid classes using the c4tstdrv utility.

    c4tstdrv > commit

    Integrate the changes to the workspace, start the build again and this should have cured the problem.
    However, its hard to know what the cause of your problem is without seeing the output in the log files.
    Good luck.

    Hi,
    I'm doing application distribution for my application using a fscript
    script and am forcing compilation on 2 of my partitions.
    This I have been doing from quite sometime successfully. Recently I
    developed a new service and plugged it into my application for
    deployment.
    I'm successfully able to distribute & deploy the interpreted code. But
    I'm getting a long list of system errors when I try doing distribution
    for compiled code. And I see only one of the .exe generated instead of
    two because of which I'm unable to go ahead with installaion. I would
    appreciate if anybody let me know why this's happening ?. The following
    is the main chunk of this error list.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    If this INCLUDE is in a function group go the MAIN program and activate from there.
    Can you list out the include name?

  • Any suggestions for my code.

    Hi,
    I wrote this little piece of code to reduce some of the work I need to do when doing database access. I intend to use if with mySQL and mostly web based applications. It'll probably use it quite a bit, and since it's my first try at writing something like this I figured I'd post the code to see if anyone can find any problems. I've already tested it and it works, so I'm mostly interested in any feedback about performance issues.
    I'd really like to know if there's any way I can get the number of rows in a result set before I start going through it. That way I could return the data in an Object[][] array (I'd assume it'd be a little faster to add values to than the ArrayList).
    Here's the code...

    I think I have an idea of what you mean. I just want to make sure before I write everything though. I could implement your idea by doing the following right?
    I haven't tried any of this, so if there's minor (syntax) errors just ignore them. I'll fix them later.
    1. Create the following Interface.
    package com.vacode.beans.sql;
    public interface GruntBeanProccessingModule
        public Object get(Object[] properties);
    }2. Force the subclasses to implement the above interface
    public class EmployeeProcessor implements GruntBeanProcessingModule
        public Object get(Object[] properties)
         //make sure the input array is the right length (+ other validation, etc.)
         //create a new EmployeeBean
         //set all the EmployeeBean properties based on the input Object[]
         //return the EmployeeBean
    }3. Make the following additions to my SQLGruntBean class
    private requestedClassType = null;
    public void setRequestedClassType(Object o) // o must be an instance of the requested class
        this.requestedClassType = o;
    //if requestedClassType isn't null then create the ArrayList like this
    while(rs.next())
             Object[] currentRow = new Object[colCount];
             for(int i=0;i<colCount;i++)
              currentRow[i] = rs.getObject(i+1); //SQL starts at 1 not 0
             Class requestedClass = Class.forName(requestedClassType.getClass().getName());
             GruntBeanProcessingModule gbpm = requestedClass.newInstance();
             Object convertedData = gbpm.get(currentRow);
             data.add(convertedData);
         }Of course I'll have to handle any possible exceptions (requestedClassType isn't an instance of GruntBeanProcessingModule, etc.). I also notice the forum replaced some of my [] with <> (I've seen it before though, so you probably already know about it).
    Did I get it right or am I out to lunch :-)
    Thank you very much for the feedback,
    Ryan

  • Making sense of wsdl code generation (BetFair API)

    Hi all,
    I must warn you in advance that my Java knowledge is basic - I am learning as I go along, and some parts have a steep learning curve!
    I have imported the BetFair wsdl (from https://api.betfair.com/betex-api-public-ws/v2/BFService.wsdl )and generated the classes with JDeveloper 10.1.3.
    The BetFair sample program uses a 'BFServiceV2_BindingStub' which I could not find. I tried the JDev proxy generator, which creates a 'BFServiceV2_Stub', but substituting this into the sample code (provided by BetFair) doesn't work as the input params (number and types) are different.
    I would have thought the generated stub from the wsdl should match the sample. I don't know if I've used the correct process in JDev or not, but I'm completely lost as to why there is a difference.
    Can anybody here with web service experience point me in the right direction?
    Thanks in advance.

    If it's an Oracle web service that you are trying to hit, there is a command line option to the service that provides the client proxy source bundled as a ZIP. you should be able to take THAT as an example, which includes a "stub", supply the code necessary to call the service, and then run that stub.
    From what appeared on BetFair's site, It looked like they had a "Developer's Section". You should work your way through their code and see what you can get working.
    Since, you are trying to hit a https service, things may be a little more difficult, and depending on if you are behind a proxy server it can be difficult as well.
    If you look at the Howtos/Tutorials and the documents on the webservices (SOA) section of OTN, you can see how Web Services are done with ADF.
    Good luck.

  • Suggestions for improving code

    I would like to list contents of a directory based on levels. I have a working code but that lists all contents of directories. I want it to list at levels. For example, if I have a directory called c:\test and test
    has to subdirectories test1 and test2 and test1 has two directories test3 and test4, i want the program to list at level 1, level 2, etc etc. for example, level1 is c:\test\test1 and c:\test\test2
    level 2 is c:\test\test1\test3 and c:\test\test1\test4.
    heres my working code. How can I modify this code to implement what I need to do?

  • Unique 4 digit alphanumeric code generation.

    Hi Everyone,
    Please look into this code and suggest me, how should I approach to change this streak.
    My DB version is
    BANNER
    Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.1.0 - 64bi
    PL/SQL Release 10.2.0.1.0 - Production
    CORE 10.2.0.1.0 Production
    TNS for Linux: Version 10.2.0.1.0 - Production
    NLSRTL Version 10.2.0.1.0 - Production
    Please look into this unique 4 digit alphanumeric code generation.
    9999999999999 is just for reference. This is the current behavior.
    If I will put round instead of trunc, will it work for long run, though it's working for few sequence numbers.
    Can I change the order of numbers and alphabets? Please suggest something.
    As per the requirement these alphabets are restricted for the code generation and they are (I, L O, B, Q)
    If you run this code this will give the value as 3688. But 3688 is already exists so it should return something else and it should be full proof in the long run.

    BluShadow has demonstrated a way to generate Four digit base 36 alphanumeric sequence. I am not sure how much can it scale in a multi user environment. You can take it as a reference to use Sequences in order to be useful in a Multi user env.

  • UML associations and code generation don't work

    Hello,
    I've maid a Class Diagramm in JSE 8, class generation works great, but I have a problem with associations : they are not generated (ie no attributes in class files). I've tried to give association name and also named both ends, but nothing better.
    Thanks for your help.
    PS : navigable association seems to work great.

    Thanks for your valuable feedback and sorry for the inconvenience.
    I already submitted a request for enhancement (RFE) for automatic code generation for Association links. As for the documentation issue, I'm not able to replicate your problem. I'm seeing all comments in the source that I entered in the documentation panel. Could you please kindly provide me detail steps to reproduce the case that you don't see documentation generated in the code and I'll try to help you. Thanks!

  • Command-line building:  code generation / WSDL importing

    Greetings,
    I'm working to setup a somewhat complicated Adobe Flex project that was created with the Flash Builder plugin in Eclipse.
    I cannot seem to find any documentation regarding the code generaton feature on the backend of the Flash Builder plugin.  The only way to access it seems to be via the GUI.
    Normally, I generate the appropriate action script code / objects via the Data/Services wizard in the Flash Builder plugin (importing a WSDL file hosted on a server).  I need to be able to perform this from either an ANT or MAVEN build script.
    I have Flash Builder 4.1 Pro, which is nice, but with multiple developers, I really need a way to build the entire project from the command-line without ever launching the IDE.  Has anyone managed to do this and can point me to the documentation?  So far, my search for Adobe documentation regarding command-line code generation has been fruitless.
    Thanks

    Anyone know of any work arounds?  Blog posts like this seem to leave little hope:

  • Reg :-maintain a table maintenance view for the z table.suggest me the code

    i have question.i have created a z table related to pp module.the requirement is to maintain {table maintenance view} for this z table.how could this be done.can any one suggest me the code for this?

    Hi ,
    We have a lots of queries on table maintainance creation in the forum posted and replied to.Pls have a look at it first.
    In se11 -> change mode of the ztable -> goto -> utilities -> table maintainance generator -> click on it...
    it will give a new screen-> enter the required details like function group , authorisation(use &NC& or leave it blank if you dont know)  and screens
    2 step and 1 step means=> number of screens displayed in maintainace
    if step1 is selected then we have a screen which will be like a table control for data entry.........
    for step2 we have a table control screen and a more detailed individual field display as second screen
    click on the button 'find screen numbers' so that system automatically proposes the screen numbers
    after which click on the "create" button and follow the required instructions/messages
    once done go to SM30 enter the table name to check if maintainance has been created properly
    Hope it helps,Pls check and revert

  • Automatic Code generation from UML for C++ in Visual Studio 2013 Ultimate

    Hi all,
    I am using Visual Studio 2013 Ultimate to design UML diagrams and want to use the class diagram to generate C++ code,
    however I found that there seems only support C# generation.
    Is there any way to do the code generation (even round-trip engineering with C++/UML model) from Visual Studio 2013 Ultimate?
    There is a way to do C++ code generation by customize the text template file right? but it is time consuming and we don't have much time to do it.:(
    Thanks a lot!

    Hello Grib,
    >>is there anyway to integrate an STE code generator to Visual Studio 2013. I know there is EF5.x STE Generator but only for VS 2012.
    Yes, you can.
    Since the STEs are T4 template and you can just take template and code any changes or improvements you require yourselves! As you mentions, there is a EF5.x STE generator, you could download it and edit it. You could check this article:
    Upgrading to EF6, we could see that from EF5 to EF6, the team moves classes to a new namespace, so we need to modify the T4 template to generate the new namespace.

    Hi,
    do you know of any tool which I can use to enter the
    logic flow of a program, decision loops, processes
    etc, and which will generate a stub application for
    me to put my implementation code in.do you mean like
    for(;;) {
      // put code here.
    or
    if() {
    //put code here
    I need to create code which is compact but is most importantly efficient?Automatically generated code has many advantages but efficiency is not one of them. Automaticaly generated code is only as smart as the computer program which generated it. Performance is rarely a consideration is such systems and very hard to add.
