Sun One Java mobile Application start error

Hi,
I established sun one java mobile application builder but I coudn not start it . when it come to %27 it show me this messagebox "This application has unexpectedly has caused an ExceptionInInitializerError. This Application will now exit (LAX)"

i am using vista sp1, recently while opening Firefox or any link within it a dialogue box appear " [java script application] An error occured throwing an exception" . however both cancelling or accepting opens the link or firefox but its nagging plz help

Using Linux/Red Hat/Intel for Sun ONE/Java Directory Server

Anybody have any experience of this? We're looking to get off AIX, and Total Cost of Ownership for using Solaris/Sparc versus Linux/Intel is very similar.
The decider will be if no-one is using Linux as a platform for Sun ONE/Java Directory Server....
Any feedback would be appreciated....

We run Directory 5.1 in production on Solaris/Sparc, but I've tried it with sucess on Red Hat 7.2 on Intel. We have not been able to get it to work on Red Hat Enterprise 2.1 or 3.0. The main problem has been that the administration server fails on startup. Obvious the lack of support for the latest enterprise class Linux is a huge drawback. At this point I've decided to stay on Solaris/Sparc until Red Hat comes out with its own release of Netscape's Directory. When that happens we're going to evaluate whether to move the whole environment to Red Hat. The Sun and Netscape servers are almost identical in terms of features and performance, but having an open source version that can run on less expensive hardware would be a terrific win for us.

Can JRE for Sun One Java Directory Server 5.2 be upgraded to JRE 6.0 Update

I am trying to upgrade jre installed with Sun One Java DS 5.2 from 1.5.0 to JRE 6.0 Updat 16. Is this possible?

I am attempting to upgrade our JRE version (installed with Sun One Directory Sever 5.2) from 1.4 to 1.6. I've installed JRE 1.6 Update 16 and set the JAVA_HOME environment variable to d:\programs\java\jre6 and don't know how to configure the directory server to run the 1.6 java version. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm all of a sudden getting a ( Java Script Application "download error" message) when trying to use Ant Video Downloader. What could cause this?

When an FLV is playing and I want to download it. I click on the Ant download button. A little window appears reading ( Java Script Application "download error" message)

This works for me on YouTube.
Cancel the download and then immediately right click and choose retry.

I do not want to half to install things into my PC that i do not trust! I just want this gone and like i said Firefox should of given us the choice to add this and not forced us, because if there is no actual way to remove it then il be forced to remove Firefox till they either remove it or allow us to remove it!

P6 Team Member Mobile application - Login Error

Hi
I faced some issues when logging into team member mobile application.
When i try to log in using team member version 2.1 , it prompts me to use "HTTPS". It does not accept "HTTP".
When i used "https://host:port/p6tmws" , it throws an error
IOS: "Server URL points to an invalid web application"
Android: "Could not connect to server"
But using team member version 2.0, im able to login using "HTTP" from my iphone. It does not prompt me to use "HTTPS"
Need help on this issue.

I have tried login to Team Member using Safari browser in my iphone.
Using safari browser i tried the URL :
"http://host:port/p6tmweb"
"https://host:port/p6tmweb"
Both URL were able to reach the login page without any issue.
Using Team member mobile application in iphone i tried the URL :
"http://host:port/p6tmws"
"https://host:port/p6tmws"
For "http://host:port/p6tmws" i was able to login without any issue.
For "https://host:port/p6tmws" i could not login and error pop up saying "Server URL points to an invalid web application"

After apgrading a suggesed firefox download, each time I log onto Mozilla, the following application pops up constantly: (Java Script Application) Type Error:glLTFFObj is undefined. How do I remove this from my pc altogether,as it is most annoying

This type error pops up constantly and when I either click on OK or the red cancel on the top right hand side, it does not make any difference and is constantly there giving me total frustration.
How do I remove this application please?

Do you have the Yahoo toolbar? Other users have reported a similar JavaScript error when loading sites with that toolbar installed. If you have it, you could disable it or perhaps there is an updated version available.
If you don't have that toolbar, it could be one of your other add-ons. Deployment of Java Mobile Application

Dear All
Can anybody tell me the apparoach for deployment of a J2ME application on Mobile devices running on Windows CE/Mobile. I would like to know is it possible to deploy my application in multiple jar's and dowload to the client only those modified jar file.(somthing like webstart, but prefered a smarter webstart!)

I have strucked with an issue with urlrewritingnet. I have developed a website and used urlrewritingnet for url redirecting. Application is working fine in DEV, Stage and Prod. but recently I am getting an issue in Stage. When I kept the browser window open
for a while and after some time If I come back and clicks any link(like After Session time out), I am getting an error "directory error: cannot add duplicate key "REGEX" key already added". When I click refresh this error goes out and It
gets redirected to my custom timeout page. I have tried everything but could not find the cause of this error.
This is not happening in Dev and Prod. After going through various forums I found out that this is due to URLREDIRECTING DLL. But I did not find out the actual root cause of this error. Can some one please guide me If there is anything going wrong in Stage
website setup in IIS.

Maybe use a sniffer like fiddler or wireshark to monitor the webpage and find the request that is causing the problem. You could also add a log page to the webpage t capture all the request to find the root cause.

Sun One Studio Mobile Edition

I need to add "package Projects.MyProject.Files;" in order for the project to compile and the debugger to work correctly. When I do add the package declaration in the java source code, my midlet suite fails to compile and execute. How can I correct this so that everything works?

Hmm. I will tell you how I did this.
I created a folder named to my project, maybe c:\Foo\. In this I created a src and a class directory. I put the java files in the c:\Foo\src and told SunOneME to output the classes into c:\Foo\classes. Both directories have to be mounted to do so.
If I want a package, lets say 'bar', I create a directory c:\Foo\src\bar. All files in this need the "package bar;" statement. The compiler then creates automatically the same in the class directory.
You always have to mount the parent directory of the highest package-directory (src & class) because if you specify a file somewhere in your source-code as e.g. "bar.CheckerClass" the compiler searches the classpath for a directory "bar" containing the "CheckerClass". This may be a real directory or one in a jar file as well.
Another idea: are you sure, that this file is in the package Projects.MyProject.Files? This seems a to be strange name for packages. I guess you actually are not using a package.

Hi Folks,
I've followed all the instructions to install the MDSD client in our device, however I am getting the following error at the trace display option:
"MDSD30_SP02 cannot be accessed because com.sap.dsd.appctrl.DSDMain cannot be instaniated Reason: com.sap.dsd.appctrl.DSDMain"
Can anyone help me through this. Am I missing something?

Sun One Java web server 6.1 caching!

hi,
when a client browser access my site for the first time he download images from the server with
timestamp of the file last modified and an ETAG numeber.
the client browser cache the images file in his browser local cahce.
when the client browser open on the second time accessing my site, the browser will compare the last modifed
and ETAG of the image to see if the image in the browser local cache needs to be updated meaning downloaded.
what i want is that the client browser wont ask the web server if the image was change at any time and only using the browser local cache meaning disabling the last modifed and ETAG mechanisem OR setting a time expiriation on my web server files that the client browser will know to look for updates in a specifc time that i will define.
help will be most appreciated.

Obviously, you will want to change the ppath to something that fits your needs. The age is defined in seconds, this example is set to 31 days, or perhaps 30...I don't remember. :)
To enable caching for everything, just put the PathCheck directive inside the default Object-tag like always. Or instead of ppath, you can use NameTrans assign-name directives. The important part is the PathCheck, up to you how to restrict it.
