Sunperf and complex

Hi
I'm getting an annoying 'problem' using the sunperf
library with complex types:
if I copy word for word the example you find at the
end of 'man complex', it compiles fine. If I just add
#include <sunperf.h> it doesn't. Clearly, there is a clash somewhere, is it intentional?
Has anybody an insight?
#include <complex>
int main(...){
complex<double> a(1,1); //is fine
#include <sunperf.h>
#include <complex>
int main(...){
complex<double> a(1,1); //is not?
Error: No parameters provided for template.

Header <sunperf.h> has a global struct type "complex"> (The Sun Performance Library has a C interface.)
The standard C++ <complex> header has a class template "complex" in namespace std .
To avoid the name conflicts, you have to be cafeful about namespaces. Code like the example
#include <sunpef..h>
#include <complex>
complex<double> a(1,1);
won't compile because the only "complex" visible is the C struct, not the template. If you write
std::complex<double> a(1,1);
the code will compile.
If you put
using namespace std;
or
using std::complex;
in your C++ code, it will cause a conflict with the complex in <sunperf.h>. To use both libraries, you must explictily qualify the C+ complex template types with "std::".

  • Oracle BPM / SOA Suite and Big and Complex Scenarios

    Hi people,
    I have worked for a company that in the past chose Oracle BPM (ALBPM at the time) and one of the big problems that the company had was in relation about big processes and complex scenarios.
    This company is for the e-commerce area and our processes can have many instances at the same time, for example, a process to all the "order flow" can have thousands, maybe millions instances at the same time.
    So we choose to abort the BPMS option in the past and now we back to talk again about BPMS and one question is always made by the company board: if we use BPM again, the new versions can be support all the our volume data?
    To be honestly, I don't have this answer so I like to know if any people here has a paper or report about Oracle BPM 11g and big scenarios with many instances. If anybody has a case too, it will be relevant.
    Another and the final question: how does the oracle bpm engine treats the case when my engine reboots and before that the engine had many instances active? The istances will be lost?

    11g ADF is not certified with 10g SOA Suite. What I mean by this is that your 11g ADF will need to run on WLS 10.3.1 and SOA Suite 10g will eith run on oc4j or WLS 9.2.
    ADF is just JDeveloper, you deploy to WLS 11g (10.3.1).
    This is the most detailed 10g SOA Suite guide I know for 10g
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E10291_01/core.1013/e10294/toc.htm
    note that it is for 10.1.3.3, you just need to subsitute for 10.1.3.5 (latest release)

  • Many pages and complex data model in JHS app

    I am using JHS to create an application containing data that is structured something like:
    - Country
    - Company
    - Department
    - Employee
    - Payments Details
    I have created entity and view objects corresponding to each of these and the appropriate accessors/view links. We need the user to be able to search, work on data and 'drill down' from any level (not always starting with company). In order to make this possible my JHS application has 5 'top level' tabs corresponding to each of the above entities. From each of these top level pages users can drill down to the children.
    This works but we end up with many pages and a large data model with lots of replication and nesting.
    Country - 5 pages
    Company - 4 pages
    Department - 3 pages
    Employee - 2 pages
    Payments - 1 page
    total 15
    You can picture how the data model is structured. Obviously this is a very simple example but I hope it illustrates my concerns. We have so many pages that post-generation changes are going to be difficult to manage. I'm also worried about the size and complexity of the data model. In this case views are almost all entity based so I guess the data is only cached once but supposing they were not?
    Are we using JHS in the best way ? perhaps I'm overcompilcating it ?
    I have started to rewrite the JHS generated application so that it (almost) always reuses the same top level generated pages (with some modifications). When the user wants to navigate to a child I modify the whereClause of the target ViewOjbect appropriately, reexecute it and forward to the corresponding 'top level' page. This approach seems to work well, cuts down the number of pages enormously and simplifies the data model (and has enabled me to put breadCrumbs in).
    In doing this though, am I creating work for myself that JSH could have done if we had used it differently in the fist place?

    This sounds like a valid approach in your situation. We have been playing with the idea of having something like 'Group Links' where you can generate navigation items from one group to the other. Then, you would need to have one, 5 level deep nested group, and 4 other top level groups to provide the search&select on each of the nested groups, but they themselves would not need to have nested groups, but a navigation link to the nested groups in the 5-level deep group.
    Although nice and simple in theory, the details are a bit tricky to work out with all the possible layout- and samePage settings, so we have not implemented this yet. So your approach seems a valid one. If you have any suggestions on a way to generate what you are now doing manually, we'll be interested.

  • Difference between Business Events  and Complex Event Processing

    Dear All,
    Can anyone let me know the difference between
    Business Event -> http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21764_01/integration.1111/e10224/obe_intro.htm#CHDIBHBE
    and
    Complex Event Processing->http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21764_01/doc.1111/e14476/overview.htm#g1024628
    Are these 2 same?
    Thanks

    Hi.
    Complex Event Processing Server(CEP) is an entire Product.
    Business Event/Event Delivery Network is just a Messaging/Event component part of the SOA Infrastructure.
    So, if u r interested on event correlation from different sources, high performance on analyzing those events + operations among the data generated on those events, CEP is ur option.
    Hope this helps

  • How to use Adaptive WebService Model with CAF WebService and Complex Type

    Hi All,
    I am trying to use the Adaptive Web Service Model and call a WebService generated by the CAF. The return type of the WebService is a Complex Type.. I receive an exception when trying to instantiate the Model Node.
    Does anybody know how to use the Adpative Web Service Model with CAF WebServices and Complex Types as return type?
    Help is appreciated..
    Thanks, Johannes

    Thanks Mukesh.
    It is not possible to apply the Service Controller Template on Enterprise Java Bean Models as described in the Document. When I try to aply the template on the EJB Model, NWDS says: Only Webservice Models and RFC Models are supported...???
    I did not find any information about how to return complex types in AWS.. in this document???
    Is there such information available? Has anybody ever done that? There must be a way to do that.. Is is the standard approach, isn't it...? Please help me out there.. I need to get this running..

  • Differentiate between Simple, Medium and Complex Queries.

    Hi Gurus,
    I am a Tech. Architect on this new project. I would like to know how to differentiate between Simple, Medium and Complex Queries in BW because I need this info to work on the Estimates. Has this differentiation got anything to do with the Backend config also?
    Thanks in Advance.
    Chandu.

    Hi
    You need to understand the requirements and consider the following before you classify........
    1) Queries that are based on multiple key figures--which may result in cell definition.
    2) Queries with complex calculations.
    3) Queries that are based on Variable Exits

  • How to view code of all the custom and complex folder  folder

    How to view code of all the custom and complex folder folder in EUL?

    You do not need to run all the reports.
    Also i am not sure about why do you need to see the code of every thing, i assume you will not get much from it.
    If there is a certain folder you are interested in then this is the way.
    Any way there is no way to get the code of the complex folders since they are logical join of other folders.
    to get the code of the custom folder s you can use:
    select * from eul_us.eul5_objs t
    WHERE t.obj_type='CUO'
    AND t.obj_object_sql1 IS NOT NULL;
    you should look (and concatenate) at the obj_object_sql1,obj_object_sql2.....

  • Large and Complex Applicaton development process in Apex

    Hi,
    Apex can scale well in terms of Data size, number of users etc. We are trying to decide if Apex is suitable for our next large and complex application (Large and complex in terms of quantity and efforts of work and business logic). We have already identified that Apex can handle complexity of our transaction/business logic management. My question is about scaling application development process in Apex. I am curious to know about what other people are doing with Apex in terms of:
    * What is the largest Number of Pages, Forms, Reports etc. within a single application one has developed
    * Assuming with so many pages (objects) to be developed, more than one developers must have worked on the project and the project is divided into multiple phases release. What was/is the max number of developers in your project?
    * Did you run into "Code Conflct" issues for Apex Shared Objects when multiple people had to work on them? How did you manage it and merge the changes?
    * How did you identify, track and manage changes in Apex objects between various project phases and between various environments (DEV, TEST, UAT, PROD).
    * What else you would like to add (in terms of development life cycle only) to my thoughts above that we need to consider while choosing Apex for our next project.
    * Based on your experience would you recommend Apex for our large and complex application?
    Many thanks in advance for your responses.
    Paresh (yparesh at gmail dot com)

    Hi Przemek, Jerry and Roel,
    Thanks to all of you for your helpful responses. If we follow best practices mentioned like trying to centralize code in Page 0, db packages/procedures, JS libs shared components (especially "Shared App" having Shared components between multiple apps) we can minimize code management efforts and use existing technologies to identify, merge, promote code changes. This still leaves with some code and changes that will localized to individual pages (and we still need to manage page 0 and Shared object code changes. I will explain what I am trying to say with an example below about managing changes in a page.
    Przemek, and Jerry,
    How are you identifying, managing and promoting changes between applications environments say TEST to PROD. For example we have 2 separate dbs (and hence workspaces) to host Apex TEST and Apex PROD environment. If I have modified page 15 in TEST and now need to promote changes made to page 15 (deltas) to PROD how do I compare and identify the deltas? Apex can not migrate the whole page across apps in different workspaces and even if Apex can I don't think it is a good idea to overwrite page 15 in PROD with page 15 in TEST unless we can compare them, identify the deltas and make sure the changes are what we intended to promote. Exporting pages and comparing using a text editor is time consuming because of various ids and the way New Line characters can get embedded in page export. Logic that the TEST env should have identical copy of prod due to a refresh before promoting changes from DEV won't help because then whole of above will apply between DEV and TEST (albeit with little less risk as the target is TEST and hopefully any unintended changes will be caught during testing).
    Apex 3.1 has Apex Applications Compare facility? If you have used it, what is your take on it? I think it is too basic but a good start. Won't it be good if there was a nice full fledged compare tool for Apex objects?
    Thanks
    Paresh

    I found out that the retrieve method accepts columnSet as a
    class and id as a class. These are not strings that you can pass
    into MSCRM 3.0. However, I have no idea how to create a .NET
    acceptable class and pass it in. If you figured this out, or if
    others have thoughts, I'd love to hear how you've gone about it.
    Thank you!

  • Posting in Enjoy Screen and Complex Posting Screens

    Hi,
    I want to know the difference of posting in FB60/FB70 enjoy screens and the F-02 complex posting screens. Can someone tell me in what cases i have to use the F-02 screen by explaining a sample business transaction which cannot be posted in FB60 or FB70 but can be posted in F-02.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    Both F-02 and the enjoy transactions FB60/70 serve the same purpose.  However, enjoy transaction make the entry look more simple and encourage a non functional user to enter correctly without any conflict as to debit/credit.
    In case of F-02, you need to select the posting keys.  These posting keys will define either the transaction needs to be debited or credited.  Though all the tcodes serve the same purpose, the following are the key differences
    1.  F-02 is used for different document types (AB, SA, RE etc.,).  It will be used for accounting as well as AP/AR entries if required.
    2.  In F-02, the posting keys define the document type.  For eg., if you use KN as the document type, you need to use posting key 21 or 31 to allow the system to enter the vendor code.  However, in case of FB60/70, you just need to select if the entry is a invoice or a credit memo and the credit and debit is already identified in the screen.
    3.  FB60/70 is more easier and exhaustive for the accountants to enter the data.  F-02 may not be useful in day to day entry of invoices.

  • Apex, Web Services, and complex data types?

  • Best Practices for Batch Updates, Inserts and Complex Queries

    The approach we have taken for our ALDSP Architecture is to model or DASi as Business Data Objects, each DS joining several (some times many) tables and lookups. This works ok when needing to access individual records for read and update, but when we need to update multiple tables and rows within the same commit, trying to do this with a logical single ds built on tables or other dASi, proves both cumbersome and slow. This is also the case for queries, when we have complex where clauses within a DS built upon two or more multi-table-joined logical DASi.
    We tried a DS built on SQL, but that does not allow dml operations. We may have to just use JDBC. Any thoughts on how best to leverage DAS in this respect.

    I tried doing this by creating a UO class and using it on a DS built on a sql statement. What we wanted to do here is first read the DS to get a list of ID values that met the conditions of the query and then call submit() and have the UO update all the necessary tables associated with those IDS.
    However, we found that U/O never get's called unless you actually update something, not just send submit() after a read. Dis I misunderstand the way this shoudl work?

  • JWSDP and complex type extension problem

    Hy,
    We got a problem with JAX-RPC reference implementation. It seems it doesn't support inheritance beetween complex types as web services parameters or return value. A Parse exception happens when client code deserializes base class members. Does anyone know about this problem ? We don't have it with Apache Axis implementation (on client side). • JCA and complex protocols

    Hello,
    I'm investigating the possibility of realizing complex protocols with JCA. The resource adapter in question should handle the protocol window mechanism and buffer messages in case the window is momentarily full. I hope someone can give ideas where/how to solve the buffering and window in a decent way using the supported mechanisms of JCA 1.5.
    Kind regards,
    Tom

    Sorry, no code here. But I was curious about your question and how 'real' this capablity was for accessing legacy applications running on the mainframe. I googled on:
    jca mainframe example
    and found lots of hits (of course) and many good articles. One of the most complete articles with example code was here:

  • OSB, DB adapters and complex XML

    I'm new to all Oracle middleware products (and it's years since I've written any Java, while I'm being honest), but I've been given the task of taking some existing XML feeds and sticking some of the data in a DB. Well, that's the basic solution I've come up with anyway, and OSB (10.3.1) seems the way to go.
    I've seen the JCA DB adapter tutorial at http://www.oracle.com/technology/sample_code/products/osb/index.html - and very good it is too, but I'm wanting to take it a bit further. i.e. do something more complex than a simple 1:1 XML attribute to database column mapping. I want to take the existing XML file that has a relatively complex schema (containing more attributes than we actually need, plus entire sections I want to ignore) and only take the relevant info and put it in the DB table.
    The thing is, I don't see any pointers on that, wherever I look on the web. Is it simply a case of hacking around with the xml, xsd, mappings, etc...telling it about the extra fields, and to ignore them...or - given that will probably take quite a while - is there a an easier way using Jdeveloper, Eclipse or something?
    Likewise, is there a nice tutorial showing how to create a proxy service and map it to the DB adapter business service? I guess I can figure that out myself, but it's nice to save time and see the 'right' way first...
    Any other pointers, before I head off down the wrong path? Good resources, aside from the manuals on here?
    Cheers in advance.

    If I remember correct, a DB Proxy (JCA proxy using DB adapter) required for cluster deployment , is supposed to use a WSDL specifically generated from JDEV with specific settings.
    Ex. I created a db proxy in my development box (Single node OSB domain). The same proxy cannot be deployed in clustered osb domain. The wsdl for db inbound in cluster domain is little different from db inbound in non-cluster env and that has to be created from scratch from JDEV.
    I can search my previous mails for the specifics if you should require .
    Thanks
    Manoj
