BPM, webservices and complex types

I have a WSDL wich has complext xml types, I create a webservice call in BPM. I get a SOAP fault string
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
<detail faultString="Unable to find a matching Operation for this remote invocation <ns1:createProduct xmlns:ns1="java:com.screwfix.xml.product">
     <ns1:description>From BPM</ns1:description>
</ns1:createProduct>. Please check your operation name. " faultCode="Client">
</detail>
I can access the webservice externally but not through BPM. I can access webserivice without complex types, such as simple string....
Looking at the error, it indicates that the soap client cannot process the request. Any ideas would be appreciated, we are using ALBPM 5.7
Full exception :

I found out that the retrieve method accepts columnSet as a
class and id as a class. These are not strings that you can pass
into MSCRM 3.0. However, I have no idea how to create a .NET
acceptable class and pass it in. If you figured this out, or if
others have thoughts, I'd love to hear how you've gone about it.
Thank you!

  • How to use Adaptive WebService Model with CAF WebService and Complex Type

    Hi All,
    I am trying to use the Adaptive Web Service Model and call a WebService generated by the CAF. The return type of the WebService is a Complex Type.. I receive an exception when trying to instantiate the Model Node.
    Does anybody know how to use the Adpative Web Service Model with CAF WebServices and Complex Types as return type?
    Help is appreciated..
    Thanks, Johannes

    Thanks Mukesh.
    It is not possible to apply the Service Controller Template on Enterprise Java Bean Models as described in the Document. When I try to aply the template on the EJB Model, NWDS says: Only Webservice Models and RFC Models are supported...???
    I did not find any information about how to return complex types in AWS.. in this document???
    Is there such information available? Has anybody ever done that? There must be a way to do that.. Is is the standard approach, isn't it...? Please help me out there.. I need to get this running..

  • ASMX webservice with Complex type argument consuming in Biztalk

    There is a requirement to consume asmx webservice in biztalk orch.The asmx webservice ,webmethod is having complex type as a argument
    For Ex:CalculateFDR(Invoice as invoice) Here Invoice is a class.now consumed an asmx webservice using WCF consume wizard in BizTalk.
    In orchestration , when I create the Requestmessage and bind to messagetype with MyFin.CalculateFDRSoapIn.
    Now In expression shape when I want pass invoice values as argument  to Request message i am getting like below
    Msg_ServiceRequest.Parameters. instaed
    Msg_ServiceRequest.Invoice.InvoiceNo etc.
    Even When I check the multi-partmessage type i found that CalculateFDRSoapIn-Parameters and description of multi-part message type is <wsdl:message name="WriteDBEntrySoapIn"/> messagepart description is  <wsdl:part name="parameters"/>
    Could you please let me know how to pass Invoice values as a argument for this webservice in Orchestration
    Note: We are palnning to use wcf-basichttp adapter.due to this not using webreference option
    Regards BizTalkWorship

    When you consume WCF/Web service using WCF/Web service wizard, it creates multi-part message type representing the contract’s of the parameters exchanged. This multi-part message will have
    message part names as “parameters”. This parameter can be of primitive .NET Types type like System.String, System.Int32 etc or it could be of a schema type.
    If multipart message’s message part type of Primitive .NET Types, then you can construct the message as you say something like..
    Msg_ServiceRequest.InvoiceNo
    Here if InvoiceNo could be of any primitive .NET Types.
    If it’s of any schema type then you got to construct the schema first either using map (Transform) or in message-assignment. In your case it seems to be the multipart message’s message part
    type is that of a schema. So you have to construct the schema using either map (Transform) or in message-assignment.

  • JWSDP and complex type extension problem

    Hy,
    We got a problem with JAX-RPC reference implementation. It seems it doesn't support inheritance beetween complex types as web services parameters or return value. A Parse exception happens when client code deserializes base class members. Does anyone know about this problem ? We don't have it with Apache Axis implementation (on client side). In our case, server code always runs in C++ with gSOAP.
    And the stacktrace :

    Try using the -f:searchschema feature of wscompile when generating the client stubs from your WSDL file.

  • Web Service and Complex Types

    Hi, I am creating a web service based on a java method that returns a Java bean. This is translated into a complex type in the wsdl containing the beans member variables. During this generation JDeveloper names the complex type as package structure + javabean class name. Is there anyway to change this to just javabean class name ? Secondly is there any way to change the case of the complex type element names (so the initial character is upper case)? I realise that in an ideal world what JDev generates would be OK but I have to meet a spec produced by someone else.
    Thanks for any help.

    Does anyone have any experience with this ?

  • JAX-RPC, DII and Complex Types

    I am currently in the middle of a project at University on Web Services. Is there anyone out there who have are currently using DII with complex types.

  • Portal WebService and Complex Parameter (Array) Response

    Hello Colleagues,
    i use the function „Create WebService from Portal Service“ in the NWDS.
    It Works fine for methods that take or give flat Parameters like this:
    public String getValue(String value) {
    return value;
    But I need to use Complex structures. My first try was this method :
    public String[] getArray(String value) {
    String[] valueArray = new String[5];
    for (int i = 0; i < valueArray.length; i++) {
          valueArray<i> = value;
    return valueArray;
    This works too, but i only have unnamed parameters. Also there is no semantic in my parameters and i can not identify them (only by order). So i need to take a method like this:
    public File[] getFiles(String value) {
    File[] files = new File[5];
    for (int i = 0; i < files.length; i++) {
        files<i>.setFilename("filename " + i);
        files<i>.setCreated(new Date(System.currentTimeMillis()));
        files<i>.setDescription("description " + i);
        files<i>.setLastModified(new Date(System.currentTimeMillis()));
        files<i>.setContent(new byte[20]);
    return files;
    I put the class "File" in the same package as the Service class. I also make a Interface to the File class.
    When i deploy this to my Portal i get an "error_NoClassDefFoundError" in the soap response. What is the right way to make an webservice from a Portalservice with an complex parameter response?
    Every hint is welcome.
    Best regards,
    Patrick

  • Web Service invocation and Complex Types (java TO's)

    I am trying to call a java service from ColdFusion MX 8.0.1 using the following code.
    I am the developer of the Java service, not a coldfusion programmer.
    <cfscript>
         ws = CreateObject("WebService", "http://myserver.us/webservices/WebInterface?WSDL");
         vali = CreateObject("Java","vo.myapplication.ContactVO");
         vali.setId(1234);
         vali.setSecondaryID(45855);
         wsResponse = ws.updateContact(vali);
    </cfscript>
    The call fails with "Object Instantiation Exception - Class not found: vo.myapplication.ContactVO", so i know CF is unable to load my class.
    My question is why?
    My stubs have been generated into
    C:\jrun4\servers\cfusion\cfusion-ear\cfusion-war\WEB-INF\cfusion\stubs\WS-254617805
    and i can see ContactVO in there, in the correct package.
    I can make it work if i add the absolute path of the sub directory to
    Server Settings > Java and JVM > ColdFusion Class Path
    Can anyone tell me why Coldfusion 8.0.1 is not dynamically loading the VO class, so that i can perform a CreateObject?
    Thanks in advance!

    Another way to dynamically load a custom class like /vo/myapplication/ContactVO.class, besides specifying its path in the classpath, is to place it in the directory {CF_wwwroot}/WEB_INF/classes/. Mind you, I'm on the Coldfusion single-server version, on Windows.

  • Bean:write and complex types

    // getters and setters methods for name,id and Array_OBJ2
    OBJ2 is an an object like this:

    // getters and setters methods for surname and Array_OBJ3
    And OBJ3 is like this:
    public class OBJ3 {
    String control;
    // getters and setters methods for control
    I passed a OBJ1 object to a jsp page and I can access to "name" and "id" properties successfully, but I have problems to access to the "Array_OBJ2" object.
    What's the correct syntax in the jsp page to access it in a bean:write tag ?

    I am not sure just thinking and guessing try this.......

    WARNING: Complex type 'any' cannot be supported

    I actuall have the same problem but I can give you some more context.
    I have a Webservice made with JAX-WS in JDeveloper it uses Complex types with inheritance such as:
    abstract class Mammal{
    public Mammal get(){ return this; }
    @WebService
    public class Human extends Mammal {
    @WebMethod
    public Mammal get(){ return this; }
    Exposing the WSDL to i.e. C# works perfectly the Polymorphism works like a charm, however when i follow the JSF tutorial from the JDeveloper page and want to add my method get i get the following error:
    Sep 2, 2009 3:32:29 PM oracle.adf.adapterDC.webservice
    WARNING: Complex type '{http://local/}mammal' cannot be supported
    Is this due to that Mammal is Not exposed correctly or what could possible cause this?
    A popup also shows that an error occured telling me the following:
    "DCA-29000: Unexpected exception caught:
    java.lang.NullPointerException, msg=null"
    Thanks,

  • Cannot assign value to a Variable of Complex Type beyond index 1

    Hello:
    I have a variable defined as a complex type as followed. I tried to assign a value to each of the two elements but it only allows me to assign to the 'element#1.
    This statement that tries to assign a value into element#2 will not work, if I assign with '[1]' for the first element it will work:
    <copy> <---- THIS WORKS
    <from expression="'John'"/>
    <to variable="My_Variable"
    part="My_Collection"
    query="/ns9:My_Collection/ns9:Collection/ns9:Collection_Item[1]/ns9:pname"/>

    Hello:
    Base on the suggestion to use 'append' instead of 'copy', I tried to define a 'singleNode' which is of type 'Collection_Type_Struct' so I can append this individual 'struct' into my array (i.e. as the 2nd. element of my array "/ns9:My_Collection/ns9:Collection/ns9:Collection_Item"), but I am getting an error in defining this variable as:
    <variable name="singleNode" element="Collection_Type_Struct"/> <--- error
    Can someone tell me how should I define "singleNode" so I can put a value in it and then append this 'singleNode' into the array:
    <variable name="singleNode" element=" how to define this????"/>
    <assign>
    <copy>
    <frem expression="'Element2Value'"/>
    <to variable="singleNode"
    part="My_Collection"
    query="/ns9:My_Collection/ns9:Collection/ns9:Collection_Item/ns9:pname"/>
    </copy>
    </assign>
    <bpelx:assign>
    <bpelx:append>
    <from variable="singleNode" query="/ns9:My_Collection/ns9:Collection/ns9:Collection_Item"/>
    <to variable="My_Variable"
    "part="My_Collection"
    query="/ns9:My_Collection/ns9:Collection"/>
    </bpelx:append>
    </bpelx:assign>
    Again here is my definition in my .xsd file:
    <element name="My_Collection">
    <complexType>
    <sequence>
    <element name="Collection" type="db:Collection_Type" db:index="2" db:type="Array" minOccurs="0" nillable="true"/>

    </sequence>
    </complexType>
    </element>
    <complexType name="Collection_Type">
    <sequence>
    <element name="Collection_Item" type="db:Collection_Type_Struct" db:type="Struct" minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="unbounded" nillable="true"/>

    Hi all,
    This seems to be a bug unless someone of you have a solution.
    Also I ma new to xml/xsd world, so could someone please give the differences between xsi:type vs substitution groups with both element and complex type being abstract. Can this scenario be accomplished by usuage of choice groups.
    Also can anyone suggest any other good xml forums.
    Please let me know.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Mapping List Complex Types in BPM (unbounded)

    Hello,
      I need help in how can I map a list of complex types in BPM.
      I have a list of products that brings a web service that I have to map to the process context. Both types have the same elements, but the process context BPM shows me an error because it is different of the web service.
      Please, any documentation or advice.
    Regards
    SU

    Hi,
    For mapping the complex types, you need to follow the below:
    Start by mapping the outermost node first and then mapping the attributes inside the node. Intially it will show the (types do not match) error and when you are done with all the mapping the error would vanish.

  • Complex types arrays in webservices using custom codec

    In WLS8.1, I use the arrays serializing classes generated by the "servicegen" task,
    for the arrays of a complex type, and I register to the TypeMapping registry

  • Web Dynpro and CAF (BOs, Application Services, returning Complex Types)

    Hi All,
    I am trying to develop an application using Web Dynpro and CAF for days now and did not get it running.. I need some help here.
    What I am trying to do / have done is the following:
    - Design a Business Object (BO) in CAF
    - Implement an Application Service that has a method called getAllBOs that calls the findAll method of the BO
    - call this method using AWS model or EJB model in Web Dnypro, show the result in a table.
    My getAllBOs returns a set of BOs (Data Type is the Complex Type of my BO in CAF). I was able to design the Application Service so that it returns a collection of BOs (using a Wrapper Comple Type), but I was never able to call the generated Web Service successfully in Web Dynpro. The WebService worked fine when testing it in wsnavigator...
    However, i never got it running.. is there anybody out there who is able to explain what to do to import a AWS model or an EJB model in Werb Dynpro and particularily how to implement the stuff so that it returns a set of BOs successfully...
    Thanks in advance.. Useful help is highly appreciated
    Please note: THIS IS ABOUT Netweaver CE 7.1 - do not post stuff about 7.0!

    Hi,
    You have to return a single object from caf layer to webdynpro layer.
    Since you are returning a list of BOs, create a wrapper in caf which contains the list of your BOs.
    Your application service should return this wrapper.
    Creating Wrapper:
    1. Create a complex data type.
    2. Include your BO as one of the properties in it. and set the cardinality to 0..n.
    In Application service invoke your findAll() of BO and use the returned list to populate the wrapper's BO list.
    Return this wrapper.
    Hope it helps.

    Fazal
