SunStudio11 Copy/Paste in Debugger Console?

Hi
I fail to see debugger command line editing in the Debugger Console (Output Window); for example, Copy/Paste works only between other windows but within the Debugger Console itself. Besides, arrow keys to recall command history and to edit a command in place do not seem working.
So it seems that repetitive typing and backspacing even is the only choice. I hope I'm wrong. Please let me know how to do the "With-in-Debug-Console Copy/Paste" or "Debug-Command-History-Editing" if such things exit.

This "black magic" does not seem to work in the dbx Console of the IDE. The cursor keys are apparently ignored there. It does only work outside of the IDE in a terminal window, when working with a command line dbx.
It is however possible to use the emacs key bindings for history recall (i.e. ^P, ^N, ^B, ^F) in the dbx console of the IDE. But this is much less convenient, of course. This is a strange shortcoming, IMHO.

I am able to copy paste the applet's java console logs from with our network.
but when i access the same applet from outside (internet), I am not able to copy-paste the console logs!

The console appears fine with log statements, i am not able to copy-paste when accessing through internet.

You probibly have differences in the machines you are using.
I have not had a problem cut/pasting in the situation you suggest.

Copy\Paste Views not working in SCOM 2012 R2 console

Hi, I am using SCOM 2012 R2 and i have come across a problem that when i copy a view and try to paste it in same management pack, the paste action is not working. Cut and paste is working fine but copy paste not working. When i copy any view, the paste option
come alive but did not work when i clicked on it.

Hi,
I have tested it in my SCOM 2012 SP1 Environment and it worked there from Sealed to Unsealed and Unsealed to Unsealed.
I have no R2 Environment in reach at Moment so i cannot test it there.

Copy+paste issues in Flash CC 2014

Is anyone else having trouble copying and pasting code in Flash CC 2014? I typically work with smaller code blocks and then merge them into a master file, but that requires copy+paste. When I copy, it appears to copy (paste becomes highlighted) but I cannot paste in any way into the code. it's not working between documents, and not even working inside a single document.
Am I missing something obvious? Any help would be appreciated.
- Just confirmed, switching back to Flash Pro CS6 works just fine with copying and pasting, as long as the content on the clipboard is copied from Flash CS6 and not CC 2014. I cannot copy anything from Flash CC 2014 into another Flash document.

It's in the code area, and I tried pasting it (didn't show anything) and then executing the code, and it didn't do anything.
I then tried creating a text area on the page, and went to the Edit menu - and "Paste Special" was the only available option. So I tried that, and it says "Source: Unknown Source" and the only option I have is to Cancel.
I then went into Flash CS6, and copied a line of code from that. I tried pasting it into the Flash CC 2014 actions console, and it did nothing. I then went back to my text area (still in Flash CC 2014) and it pasted the code in there fine.
So, it looks like I still cannot copy from or paste into the actions panel Flash CC 2014, which is what I need. But, maybe this sparks another idea? Thanks for your help, I appreciate it.

Operations Manager 2012 Dashboard Copy/Paste?

Is there any possible way to copy and paste a Dashboard view in the Operations Manager 2012 console?
I have a user that has been using APG to display performance data from SMARTS and wants a similar experience with OpsMgr. The APG console is setup with dashboards for each server that include widgets for CPU utilization, memory utilization and
disk utilization. I can set the same thing up in an Operations Manager dashboard, but to do it for 100+ would be very time consuming. Why is the copy/paste function not available for dashboard views? Is there some other easier method to create
dashboards, based on a template?

Debugger Console in Xcode 3.0

I have a Cocoa Application I have developed in Xcode, written in Objective-C.
The program basically outputs everything to the debugger console via calls to NSLog. However, I noticed after the last changes I made the debugger console output ends with the text below, after the application exits the controller class' awakeFromNib method.

After commenting out some code, I am now getting the following output.

I have pinpointed the problem to the following line.

My program uses code from Apple's Search Kit Programming Guide. Apple's sample code makes extension use of NSObject's autorelease method. I understand what this method does and suspect some objects which I expect to access at this point in the program have already been released.
However, I am confused why EXCBADACCESS appears after the program has exited from the awakeFromNib method? By this point the program has finished doing anything meaningful.

Cannot copy & paste

I'm trying to move or copy & paste a column within Numbers '09. Unfortunately when I try to paste the contents I receive the general system beep warning and console only gives me:
Numbers[2487] NameKeyHashSet and ObjectHashMap out of sync: object map entry for __NSDictionary0 0x3024510 references name "NSMutableDictionary-0" instead of "NSMutableDictionary-5"
Has anyone else encountered this before?

I am getting these messages in the System log as well for any Numbers document that I edit. Having no other problems with Numbers.
I tried to resolve this by reinstalling Snow Leopard 10.6.1 from the free-standing updater, then removing iWork '09 and related preferences and reinstalling from the original CD.
This made no difference.
I get two types of messages in the log:

Sudden Copy paste failure & then return

Hello,
I Just had a sudden failure of copy & paste feature whilst in feedback
attempting to paste a message. Then also when i typed my reply nothing there in preview, tried to paste something on mail message nothing tried drag & drop nothing. This is the log message, from the console I am not sure of the meaning. Does any one else know? Then it returned, as sudden as it was gone. This is on the FP 10.3.9.
Would this be a font problem/ conflict ?? ( it worked just now )
Any advice, guidance would be so very appreciated.

I've seen that in the prefs js the proper lines are inserted.

Mac laptop terminal copy/paste?

I'm running Arch on a PowerBook G4 without X.org (for now), and I need to know how to select, copy, and paste some text, e.g. from w3m in vc/1 to nano in vc/2. The reason being I'd rather not have to type up this long xorg.conf section by hand, I'd rather copy and paste. Sorry, kinda new to doing things console-only.
BTW, I mention that I'm on a Mac laptop because the standard copy/paste commands that I found elsewhere don't work on it. I don't even have and Insert key.

It doesn't seem to work for w3m or nano, which is what I really need it for. I guess if I could select and copy text from w3m, I could cat it with xorg.conf (that's what cat was made for, right?), but w3m doesn't seem to have anything about selecting and copying in their manual.

Explorer Hangs on Copy/Paste/Rename in Shared Folder From Client

Recently installed a Dell PowerEdge T110 II Server w/H200 hardware RAID controller and SAS drives, running Windows Server 2012 Essentials R2, along with new Dell OptiPlex 3020 clients running Windows 8.1 Pro. Have encountered a very strange issue. When
a user copies a folder (containing a small number of sub-folders and files) from the Company folder on the server, pastes it into another sub-folder, then renames it, Windows Explorer hangs for a few minutes. The problem happens from more than one of
the new PCs. It does not happen at the server console, nor does it occur when logged into the new PCs as the domain admin - it only happens when logged in as the users. The users have Full rights to the directory structure where the copy/paste/rename operation
is taking place. Hardware and software updates on all systems, PCs and the server, have been applied. Have used MSCONFIG to disable all non-essential items and create a clean-boot environment to no avail.

Copy/paste in save as dialog box

I am using your pdf plugin with Safari but when I click the save icon I cannot paste text into the file name box. I have to manually type it in. Can I copy & paste in the save dialog box?

Safari 6.0.1 OS X 10.8.2 Reader 10.1.4
The plugin works for me I just need copy/paste ability when saving the file.

Fields don't recognize their value has changed when a copy/paste value in inputed

I'm having a minor hiccup with my copy and paste buttons.
I have check boxes that, when checked, make other fields visible. The copy/paste actions recognize when the check box value is 1 and paste accordingly in the new instance of the subform, however, the invisible fields do not become visible, despite the check box value being 1 in the new instance. I feel like I'm missing something simple....possibly something that forces the scripting within the check box field to run since it is not recognizing that it's value has changed? If I manually click the check box in the new instance, the scripting works and the invisible fields become visible so I know its not an issue with creating new instances.
Any suggestions will be appreciated...I am new to this...

Are SMS forwarding/Editing and Text Copy Paste functions supported in Firefox OS?

Could not find any options to forward SMS or edit text messages, neither could find any options to copy paste general text. Most importantly, in the number dial pad, the cursor can't be moved to the desired location to add digits. Am I wrong? If so how do I go about these things?

Can't get Typekit to work with localhost (also, another weird issue with copy+paste)

I've searched through the other posts already, and I *think* I've tried all the solutions, but I still can't get the typekit fonts on my machine.
I'm trying to use the "orator-std" font. In the "kit editor", in the "kit settings -> kit settings" tab I have for name "localhost" (w/o quotes) and for domains just "127.0.0.1" (w/o quotes).
Then (AFTER saving the settings from that tab), I go back into edge animate, I start a new font by clicking that + sign next to "fonts", in the "library" tab. I set the "font fallback list" to ' "orator-std",sans-serif ' (w/ quotes, w/o single quotes), and then go back to the open browser and go to the "embed code", copy both lines of javascript, go back to edge animate, and... nothing. It won't let me change ANY text in this box anymore after the window loses focus. I have to press "cancel" and try again. So this time, I just type in the orator-std... blah blah, same as last time, but paste in the code successfully as it was already in the clipboard and I didn't need to make the window lose focus. Okay, so I click "Add font", and apply the font to my text. Nothing happens.
Huh... well the "Font's from T" picture is showing up in the bottom right of my screen, so that's odd. I go to preview in chrome, still ugly old sans-seriff there, also with the "Font's from T" logo in the bottom right.
I figure "okay, probably just takes a second... or a minute... or w/e like the message said." Well this was at least an hour ago, so something is still wrong.
I would love to just delete the font and start from scratch... maybe something got screwed up along the way and it would fix things to just start from scratch. Well... "sorry" says edge animate... can't let you delete that! In the "libarary" tab, there's only one font visible, it says "orator-std,sans-serif" (w/o quotes). If I right click it, the only option is "delete" and it's greyed out.
I tried doing one with arial instead of sans-serif just now, still not working, but everything shows up in arial now instead of sans-serif... so that's something I guess.
Apologies if this is just a simple problem that I'm just somehow not grasping. Please accept this legitimate bug report as payment... the er copy paste bug, I mean...

Hi Trevor,
I'm sorry you ran into trouble here. Typekit can be used locally. However there are some necessary steps that if left out, will cause the fonts not to render. In order to use Typekit locally, you've got to:
1. Be running a local server when testing your site in the browser. You can tell if you're running a local server by the URL of the local site. If it starts with: file:// then you are just viewing the local file in a browser and not running it from a local server.
If the local URL starts with: http:// then you're running a local server.
2. The domain of your local server has to be part of the domain list in your Kit. So, if your local server uses: localhost, you'll need to add this to your Kit's domains.
