Superseded applications still deploying

I have a situation where I have superseded relationships for an application and previous releases are still getting deployed. It has become a round-robin sort of thing.
The SCCM system is 2012 SP1 with CU4.
For example, I have Mozilla firefox going as far back as version 18, up to version 31.
Each version is superseded by a newer version with each told to uninstall the prior version.
Oddly enough here's the issue -
Software Center lists the following:
Firefox 23.0.1, Firefox 24.0, and Firefox 31.
I don't get why it goes from 23.0.1 to 31.0 because there are also versions that SCCM has decided to not list and even why it is decided to certain versions where it should only be listing one version.
So what is happening is that 23 detects it isn't installed, and get installed; followed by 24.0 getting installed, and 23 uninstalled, and then 31 installs and 24 uninstalled. Then the whole cycle repeats.
Firefox is being deployed to 32 bit and 64 bit systems so I was sure to check the box to associate 32 bit application on 64 bit systems. Detection is done with %ProgramFiles%\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe and checking the file version.
I looked over MS Documentation on Supersedence
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg682071.aspx and I haven't deviated from it. Hopefully, but in the mean time I'll go back through to ensure that all the items from 18 to 31 are
pretty much set the same for things like associate 32 bit app on 64 bit. Hopefully I can get this annoying issue resolved.

Lists both 23.0.1 and 31.0 as waiting to be installed.

Lists 24.0
Program Files\Mozilla Firefox has firefox.exe as version 24.0.
While I may or may not have updating working for firefox, I can go in to Software Center and see the following for example.

Program Files\Mozilla Firefox has firefox.exe as version 24.0.
I then click on 31 and install it.
And just for clarification; 31 supersedes 30, which supersedes 29.0.1, followed by 27.0.1, 25.0.1, 24.1.0.0, 24.0, 23.01, 23.0, 22.0, 21.0, 20.0.1, 20.0, 19.0, and 18.0.1.
And why not a single deployment and retired and delete? Because Microsoft has created supersedence for applications. And I went as far as to actually uninstall the update service for Firefox as well; if I didn't mention that already.
So now it shows 31 installed and 24.0 and 23.0.1 past due and waiting to install. I went back in to the individual deployments and everything is set correctly; even in the supersedence.

I have an application of Adobe Reader X which is deployed as "available" to the "All Workstations" collection. (It is also installed as part of our OSD task sequence for all workstations, if that matters.)
Some months ago I packaged Adobe Reader XI and did NOT set it to supersede Adobe Reader X. It was deployed as available to a small user collection.
Flash forward to yesterday. I wanted Reader XI to be available to all IS staff, but not to automatically install for any of them or to automatically replace existing Reader X installs for anyone. I went into my existing Adobe Reader XI application
and set it to supersede the Adobe Reader X deployment type. I then deployed Adobe Reader XI as "Available" to my "IS Staff" user collection and did NOT select the "Automatically upgrade any superseded versions of this application."
Overnight, all existing installs of Adobe Reader X were replaced by Adobe Reader XI on all workstations that were powered on during the maintenance window. I was understandably surprised and double-checked my deployment settings. It *is* deployed
as "available" to all IS staff and to the pre-existing user collection. and verified that I do not have Adobe Reader XI deployed to ANY other collections other than the original small user collection and now to my IS Staff collection, both
as "Available".
I checked APPINTENTEVAL.log on some of the affected workstations and noted that once I had created the supersedence relationship, all workstations that I've checked started logging as "Applicability = Applicable" and as soon as the maintenance window
started, they installed.
I'm very confused. I've used Application Supersedence many times, and it has never applied to a collection to which the superseding application was not deployed. Can anyone suggest a mechanism I might have missed that made this app evaluate as
applicable on every workstation that had Reader X deployed to it? I'm confident that it should have have.

Is Reader XI used in a (OSD) task sequence?

Application Pane Wizard - Untick Application, still installs

Hi
In my customsettings.ini i have set some Applications as in Applications001= etc.
These do get ticked in the application pane wizard, but if I decide on a particular occasion I don't want to install one of the apps and I untick it, the application still gets installed.
Is this by design? It shouldn't be obviously.

I have this same issue and I have checked the custom settings.ini and the task sequence and there is nothing there which should be installing the apps as far as I can see.

I have several other applications but none have the MandatoryApplication tag. If I then go into the Task Sequence I have one Install Applications instance and this is set to;
'Install multiple applications - Install mandatory (MandatoryApplications) and optional applications (Applications) configured via rules or specified via the deployment wizard'.
I cant see why it is installing all the applications mentioned in the CS.ini when they are un-ticked. Although it does not install the applications which are not ticked to start with.

I think the installation of planning on Vista is difficult. As some of the files doesn't support even i am tired of doing that.
But tell me one thing have you installed all other products , I mean Essbase, (server, client) , AAS and Shared services.
Are they working good .
I have formatted my system to XP and installed everything , but the problem is when i install planning it prompts me that IIS 5 should be greater other wise EPM will not install...
there are lot of things with planning 1) i can't datasource as it is not highlighting when we configure with Shared services
2) It does not create product instance .
If any one can fix this thing by giving me a suggestions.

Pagelets not rendering in Fusion ADF application pages deployed on standalone weblogic server

HI All,
I am creating a Pagelet Producer connection, and dragging a pagelet on the page as iframe, with height auto. When I run the application in the integrated weblogic server, I am able to see the pagelet. However when I deploy the application on the standalone weblogic server, then the pagelet isn't rendered.
I am using fusion ADF application 11.1.1.7 and standalone weblogic server v 10.3.6.

Sorry for the wrong infromation. The correct scenario is:
I have an ADF application, in which I have a Pagelet producer connection, pages and taskflows. This ADF application is inlcuded in a Webcenter Portal Framework application, as a shared library. When the WCF application is deployed on the Weblogic server, the pagelets don't appear on the pages.
I tried the FRAMEBUSTING context parameter to never but it didn't help.

Maybe the preferences file is corrupted. You should be able to find the Word preferences file in the folder:
your user name/Library/Preferences
Its name is com.microsoft.Word.plist
I suggest you drag this another folder and try Word again.
If that doesn't work then you might find clearing the cache files will fix the problem. You can do this manually but I never bother. Instead I use a program like Snow Leopard Cache Cleaner (shareware) or Onyx (free). These programs do lots of other maintenance jobs so it's worth having at least one of them.

What you want to do is change it so it is associated with a new email address.

I have an IWS 6.1 SP1 installed with default parameters (JES). I would like that a posix user could execute his own web application without administrator collaboration.

Do as many of the rest of us do, until this behavior is changed (if ever). Eport your WEb gallery to your Hd and use an FTP client, there are so many, including Drreamweaver's, and Shareware ones, and upload just the relevant files/folders. Some can even check and do this for you.

   Can you check for this property "No password change required" - in your visual Admin?
For this one please follow below steps.
    Open "Visual Administrator" in that "Cluster> Server>Services-->Security Provider"
    Goto "Runtime" - tab and then "User Management". Search for the user "J2EE_Admin" and double click on the user name to get the user management property sheet. There you can find "No password change required". If it is not checked, please check that one. then that password wont expire for every deployment.
