Suppress message

Hi!
Anybody know how to suppress prompting message "Do you want to save the changes you have made?" in Form 6i?
Thanks.

Or do: CLEAR_FORM(NO_VALIDATE,FULL_ROLLBACK);
But the RIGHT way is to make sure you don't cause any rows that you query to switch to status='CHANGED'. Then the form won't ask you about saving, and it won't lock rows behind the scenes, etc.

  • How to Suppress Message in Forms

    Hi,
Kidnly help in the following situation:
I write a procedure in post_query trigger if line_location_id is null then
fetch the value from line master table .when ever the cursor focus on that block,
it asks "Do you want to save". I want to supress this message when the focus moved on this block. Once the user completed his task then only it asks "Do you want to save". How to do it .
    Kindly help me.
    Thanks,
    Sri.

some message like "do you want to save your changes" cannot be suppressed.
And if possible, don't use :system.message_level, because mostly you suppress messages, that you don't want to suppress.
Maybe use ON-ERROR and ON-MESSAGE - trigger on form level. Then you can filter these messages explicit in this case.
    try it

  • Overview of suppressed messages under transaction RSRT ?

    Hi experts !
I wonder if there's a way to have an overview of all the messages suppressed in transaction RSRT ? A kind of table which shows what message is suppressed for what query ? Because I suppressed a message linked to a query and I didn't remember what query (but I remember what message !)
    Best regards

    Hi Maria,
It is possible to see which reports have some of the warning messages suppressed but its difficult to find out which messages were suppressed.
In order to get the list of reports for which the warning messages are suppressed, go to the table RSRREPDIR, give the version as 'A' and display all the entries in this table. Display only the fields 'ID', Version, Infocube, QUery and 'Suppress Messages'. Then you sort the list in descending order of the field 'Suppress Messages'.
If there is a number in the field 'Suppress Messages'  for example : the value is '4000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000' it means there is one or more messages suppressed for this query, if the value for Suppress Messages is '0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000' that means there are no warning messages suppressed.
Usually if there is one digit in this field, it means there is one message suppressed, 2 digits - 2 messages  etc... but i have not used it  much.
You can then go to RSRT and check the exact messages suppressed for these queries.

  • Hide (suppress) Message

    Hello,
I have a question. How can I hide or suppress message (E,I,W) while I am calling any program via submit? I am submitting a report and it gives an error message but I still want to continue inspite of the error message. Is there a way to suppress or hide messages?

    Hi Mayank,
I got a somewhat different solution for your case. You must have given it a thought already. Not sure if it is <i>acceptable</i> in your case.
If it is just one ( SAP ) report that you are using, then you can just copy that report into a Z-report and call it. Now since you have the report in your namespace, you can edit the report to make any modifications that you want like suppressing the error messages.
However, I do not understand why you would want to suppress the error message and continue the processing. An error message will be issued on some error condition and you want to override that and thereby alter the functionality ? Why would you want to do that ?

  • Suppress Message in RSRT

Hi. I am getting a warning in BEx report, Brain Message number 223. When I go to RSRT--> Messages, I don't find the message number in any of the message categories.
Is there a way to insert the message number 223 in RSRT--->Messages?
    Thanks all.

Could not find a quick way to add missing messages in the RSRT suppress messages option...
May be there is a standard userexit that can be used to populate data into the underlying table.
However, there is an option in the BEx itself, where you can suppress all messages. In case you don't know that, it can be set-up by going to the 'Business Explorer' tab on the menu bar then 'settings' then 'suppress warnings from server'.
This setting will suppress all the warning messages.
    Hope this helps.

  • How do I suppress messages/loading bars from Import-Module and Import-PSSession?

    Hello,
How do I suppress messages/loading bars from Import-Module and Import-PSSession?
I am writing a script that will be using these commands and it makes the script look clunky/scary to novice users.
    Thank you for your time.

Sorry to bring this back up, but it seems that the ProgressPreference worked for Exchange, but it didn't affect the Active Directory progress bar. Any ideas why?
Strange, this worked just fine for me (no module loading indication):
    PS C:\Users\mike.admin> $ProgressPreference = 'SilentlyContinue'
    PS C:\Users\mike.admin> Get-ADUser mike.admin | Select Name
    Name
    mike.admin
    Don't retire TechNet! -
(Don't give up yet - 12,950+ strong and growing)
I do run the Import-Module command inside a function, but I doubt that would do it because I assume the preference is set scriptwide.
    This will work anywhere.
    $global:ProgressPreference='SilentlyContinue'
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  • How to suppress message when BW BEx query is run?

    hi,
The message can be suppressed from RSRT, give the name of the query and in the messages tab suppress the message you want to suppress.
However in your case it seems that the message is coming as you are reporting on DSO and the DSO SID generation tick box might not have been ticked. The query is trying to generate the SID for the data on the fly and as you have already restricted with some attibute of MD this message is coming.
To resolve this issue you can tick the generate SID option in the DSO and then report on it.
    regards,
    Arvind.

Yes. I have checked it. The message is not there.
In SE91, I have checked the class DBMAN and message number is 345.
there is one more function module BAL_DSP_LOG_DISPLAY which retrieves messages from memory. Can the message be suppressed here?

  • How to Suppress Message saying "Message containing a password has been suppressed?"

On one of our task sequences, the summary page turns yellow with 1 error saying a message containing a password has been suppressed.
The deployment is successful and we don't need to do anything about it, so it is a useless warning.
I looked in the BDD.log and I see the reference to the error in there, but it is no more specific as to what is the cause.
Is is the same OS image used in other task sequences without this error, so it must not be an issue with the OS installation itself and I can only assume it is something to do with a unique task inside the task sequence that clears the bios password, updates
the bios and then resets the password.
Is there a way to find specifics on what is generating this vague error message such as "unsupress" whatever is being suppressed so we can see the specifics of it or just suppress this error from being displayed?

So, if you skip the summary then you don't get a deployment summary at all to warn you of failed tasks inside the task sequence?
We occasionally get other errors, like failed to connect to share on first attempt, but is is pretty rare.
This error is constant.  bdd.log has this in reference to the error:

  • Suppress messages while sticking with iTunes 10.7 and iOS7?

There's been plenty discussion about the failures of iTunes 11, and for me there are two and a half things which between them make it a no-go.
    1. No iTunes DJ. Up Next, even when resized to the left of the main window in the mini-player, doesn't operate in the same way.
    2. Search. I *always* want the top option, which was the default in 10.7, i.e. show me everything that matches. I don't want a big album view with the art. I couldn't care less about the art.
    3. I have three sets of Airplay speakers around the house, and 10.7 showed which one was selected (or multiple), so I knew where music would come out. Now the wee icon just shows blue, meaning "will play somewhere, but you can't remember where". So I always have to check by clicking on it. Bizarre, although less crucial than the last two.
But I prefer iOS7, despite the fact that music playback has been mucked around with there - I used to scroll through by artist and then pick an album. Now, when you do that, you can only pick which album of theirs to start with - it plays "by artist", which is infuriating. I know I could go back and search by album, but my brain doesn't work like that.
Anyway. My approach is this. Monthly, I backup the computer and then upgrade to iTunes 11, then sync my phone, then downgrade iTunes to 10.7 as per this tutorial.
    http://arstechnica.com/apple/2013/03/how-to-downgrade-from-itunes-11-to-version- 10-7-on-your-mac/
So my phone is backed up but I get a much better iTunes to use during the month. It's annoying, but I tried a month with iTunes 11 and I basically got angry every time I tried to listen to music. The awkwardness comes when adding music - I need to remember to add it to both, but that's not too bad. I also know that sooner or later I'll have to give this game up, but for now it's working.
Final annoyance - I just want to get rid of the following message every time I plug the phone in just to charge it:
"The iPhone [blah] cannot be used because it requires version iTunes 11.1 or later."
As if I didn't know. Anyone know how to suppress those messages?

Problem fixed. I had to go into terminal and delete the Backup folder manually.
    We to /Library/Application Support/MobileSync
Deleted the Backup folder in MobileSync using a rm -R Backup command

  • Suppress message (Ugrent!!) Please help!

How can I suppress the system message "Do you want to save the changes you have made?" in form?
    I'm using Developer 6i.
    Please help!!!

You get this message for a good reason - it means you've made some chnages to base table fields whioch have undoubtedly resulted in one or more locks being taken out of the database.
The way to get rid of the message is to commit before you do the operation that causes the message to occur, but you probably want to work out why the records are marked as changed if you're not expecting it.

  • Suppress Message in Funtion Module Call

    Hello
I'm using FM 'L_TO_CREATE_MOVE_SU' in an RF program which works great.  But gives me a message "Transfer Order 0000001935 Created".  Is there a way to suppress this message?  This message appears on a seperate screen because it is on an RF Device, like to eliminate number of screens users have to view.
    Thanks

    Hi
Try to use the standard exception ERRO_MESSAGE, it should suppress the message:
      CALL FUNCTION 'L_TO_CREATE_MOVE_SU'
        EXPORTING
        EXCEPTIONS
          NOT_CONFIRMED_TO      = 1
          ERROR_MESSAGE         = 21  "<--------

  • Suppressing Messages Generated by Function Modules

    Hello,
Is there a way to suppress a message generated from within a function module even though the function module doesn't raise an exception to be handled?
I am calling L_TO_CREATE_MULTIPLE and it calls another function module that doesn't raise an exception, it just generates a message. I'd like to be able to handle the message rather than have it displayed to the user.
Thanks for any help anyone could provide.
    Best Regards,

    Brett,
When I tried it in a normal function module (not RFC), I am not able to suppress the "Information" messages. I have a BDC inside the fn module.
    Do you have any idea?
