How do we suppress the default Oracle Forms Message
"Count: *(No of records), "Replace" etc which is displayed in the bottom of the Default Window. (Forms 4.5)
Thx in advance.

under forms properties set the console window to NULL and you won't have ANY message lines.

  • Acrobat X, change default message in emailing Forms

    I have searched raised questions for an answer, there is one in 2010 on the same issue but for Acrobat 9, where Adobe simply say it can't be done, and the question writer tells Adobe they are foolish to not provide such an obvious requirement. So, hoping that Acrobat Pro X has adopted this since then. . . .
    When distributing Forms via email, Acrobat provides a default message to go to the recipient. This can, of course be chnaged, but, everytime a new distribution is made, the default message has reverted and it has to be changed again. Any software designer with a ounce of intelligence would realise that the Forms creator needs to retain the modified message, and moreover, needs to keep a set of various standard messages that can be quickly selected.
    I have found the file that holds the default message in location Documents and Settings\User\Application Data\Adobe\Acrobat\10.0\Forms\AdhocWorkflowBackup. This is a file without any extension. I have a programme that can view the file content and see the default message wording, but, I can't modify and save.
    Please can someone help. Currently, I have to keep wordings I need in a Notepad file and continually copy it in.
    In Acrobat X, there are several small things not provided that a user of the programe would need to make it a really good service. It's as if Adobe just did not bother to finish it off with a full set of normally needed tools and functions.
    Regards Jonathan

    OK.  I will live with the fact that I can not change the text in the purple instruction heading.  I have a new problem.  In order to prevent others from tampering with the form, I have used Password Protection, Restrict Editing, entered a password under Change Permissions, allow printing and filling in form fields.  Then I used the Save As feature, Enable additional features.
    I now have what I wanted, a form that can not be changed.  A day later I decided to add yet one more line of instruction.  I can NOT get into my own form.  I know the password (obviously), but I can not get to a screen that will allow me to enter it.

  • Locating Oracle Forms Error Messages File to Load into Table

    I would like to create a procedure to suppress and replace Form errors and messages via ON-ERROR and ON-MESSAGE triggers.
    Is there a file that I can load the ERROR Messages from using SQLLDR?
    I have loaded the Oracle error file, $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/mesg/oraus.msg as identified by Tom Kyte in the following link,
    http://asktom.oracle.com/pls/ask/f?p=4950:8:13189517973890228983::NO::F4950_P8_DISPLAYID,F4950_P8_CRITERIA:558822941373
    but it did not contain Forms Errors Messages such as:
    FRM-40106: No navigable items in destination block.
    FRM-40202: Field must be entered
    FRM-40401: No changes to save
    FRM-40405: No changes to apply
    etc.
    Any help in getting these error messages in a table, other than typing or copy/paste from Forms online help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Forms save message problem!

    Um working in forms 9i.
    I have set SeprateFrame = True in the configuration file, so that the forms applet opens up in a new window.
    Now there are two BROWSER windows...one, in which user types the URL of the Forms server and Second, in which the forms applet opens.
    I can close the form without getting the default Forms "Do u want to save the ....?" message (by clicking the cross button on the APPLET inside the BROWSER)if there are any pending changes in the data block with a form level When_Window_Closed trigger using Exit_Form(No_Validate). But the problem starts when there are pending changes in the form and I directly press the cross button on the BROWSER which encloses the APPLET. I get the same annoying Forms message "Do u want to save?".
    Could somobody tell me how to control the BROWSER window enclosing the APPLET, because all the forms triggers are related with forms only and one have no control over the BROWSER.
    Please help.

  • Web Form Validation Message Language Setting at Runtime when work in multi lingual environment

    Business Catalyst use the default culture language to display web form validation message.
    When we are in multi lingual environment and not using subdoamin to handle multilingual sites, we found that the validation message did appear in the default culture setting. To make this work, we need to add the below script in our template.
    <script type="text/javascript">
    $(document).ready(function(){
    var head= document.getElementsByTagName('head')[0];
    var script= document.createElement('script');
    script.src= '/BcJsLang/ValidationFunctions.aspx?lang=FR';
    script.charset = 'utf-8';
    script.type= 'text/javascript';
    head.appendChild(script);
    </script>
    Assuming the template is in french. You can change the lang parameter in the script according to your language.

    After user 1 submits the page, it might not even be committed, so there is no way to have the pending data from user1 seen by user2.
    However, we do have a new feature in ADF 11g TP4 that I plan to blog more about called Auto-Refresh view objects. This feature allows a view object instance in a shared application module to refresh its data when it receives the Oracle 11g database change notification that a row that would affect the results of the query has been changed.
    The minimum requirements in 11g TP4 to experiment with this feature which I just tested are the following:
    1. Must use Database 11g
    2. Database must have its COMPATIBLE parameter set to '11.0.0.0.0' at least
    3. Set the "AutoRefresh" property of the VO to true (on the Tuning panel)
    4. Add an instance of that VO to an application module (e.g. LOVModule)
    5. Configure that LOVModule as an application-level shared AM in the project properties
    6. Define an LOV based on a view accessor that references the shared AM's VO instance
    7. DBA must have performed a 'GRANT CHANGE NOTIFICATION TO YOURUSER'
    8. Build an ADF Form for the VO that defined the LOV above and run the web page
    9. In SQLPlus, go modify a row of the table on which the shared AM VO is based and commit
    When the Database delivers the change notification, the shared AM VO instance will requery itself.
    However that notification does not arrive all the way out to the web page, so you won't see the change until the next time you repaint the list.
    Perhaps there is some way to take it even farther with the active data feature PaKo mentions, but I'm not familiar enough with that myself to say whether it would work for you hear.

  • Customizing default message "Do you want to save changes you have made?"

    Hi all
    Can I customize the default message generated by oracle forms "Do you want to save changes you have made?"
    I want to change its title, message, alert style, button labels, and visual attribute. And functionality.
    Thanks
    Asad.

    Of course ON-MESSAGE will not work. Use the trigger on your Exit_Form button. Then check the form or block or record status (depending on your design) and do appropriate coding, something like this:
    IF :System.Form_Status = 'CHANGED' THEN
    retCode := Show_Alert('MY_EXIT_ALERT');
    if retCode = ALERT_BUTTON2 THEN
    Exit_Form(NO_VALIDATE);
    elsif retCode = ALERT_BUTTON1 then
    Commit_Form;
    else
    Whathever_It_Is;
    end if;
    end if;
    If you have master-detail block and u're recieving the message when detail is changed but u want to scroll master records - write me a mail to tell u which trigger to use. It is not that I don't want to share info - just can't recall right now.

  • X6 setting default messaging application

    Hey,
     I am a brand new X6 user, I am not event very familiar with Symbian S60 OS. I recently purchased the application known as ThreadedSMS because I like to see my text messages threaded as in conversation form. After I installed it, the original messaging application still pops up notifications in addition to ThreadedSMS. Also when I click on a contact and wish to send a text message, it uses the original messaging application instead of Threaded SMS.
    Is there a way to set the OS's default messaging application to be Threaded SMS so that I don't get double the notifications of incoming text messages, and so when I try to send a text message via contacts it doesnt pull up the original SMS application.
    Also, does anyone know a more finger friendly Contact Manager application (similar to iPhone ) ??
    Thanks,
    JKDManoj

    Hi, you can't change the default messaging app, and for managing contacts Ovi suite is the easiest way ! Sync at least once per week
    Good Luck

  • Default message

    Hello
    Is there a way to get the default message alert sign ; Error,Note,or stop without creating an Alert.
    Like for example:
         message ('DELETE_GROUP  ');
         message ('DELETE_GROUP  ');   The default is Stop message X
    well,i am using Forms 6i Windows XP
    Best Regards,
    Abdetu..

    No, I don't think that's possible, if you need to show the "Note" and "Warning" etc... those are alerts.
    You can create an alert and use the PL/SQL code in a library and inherit the alert to all your forms and use it wherever you want.

  • Suppress an error message while creating a return PO ( ZRO type) (ME21n)

    Hello All,
    I have to write a code in order to suppress the below message while creating a return purchase order (of type ZRO) , transaction ME21n  after entering the purchase organization, purchase group, the vendor & the material no :-
    "You have no authorization to create without reference to another document".
    For users with the below values of parameter ID & parameter value :-
    parameter ID = EFB & parameter value = 02 in transaction 'SU3' , under "parameters" tab, this message is getting triggered.
    My requirement is to suppress this message.
    Please suggest an exit name or a BADI name wherein I can implement the code for this requirement.
    Regards,
    Rachana.

    You can remove parameter ID EFB
    and for Order type other then ZRO you can put check of doc. reference.

  • How to Suppress a warning message in Reports

    Hi All,
    I am getting REP-32751: Warning: Some text segments are missing warning message when ever i open a report and also while run the report in the browser. I am not able to find the missing text segments. Is there any way to suppress this warning message in oracle reports 10g?. Please let me know.
    Regards,

    Just was curious and was in Metalink anyways and looked up your Error:
    >
    Another workaround: open the report under the desired NLS_LANG, and OK all the warning messages. Once the report is opened, save it (under a different name). This will fill out missing text segments with blanks,which is OK because these strings never appear in the report anyway (theyshould have been deleted...)
