Suppression Zero Values -Throws UNCAUGHT EXCEPTION
Hi Gurus,
When I tried to suppress zeroes localy in the query report, its throwing an error message
"Program error in class RRMX_START_EXCEL method:UNCAUGHT EXCEPTION"
"SYSTEM ERROR IN PROGRAM CL_RSR_REQUEST and form CHANM_SETTINGS_SET"
What is the problem that I am facing and how can I correct the same?
After executing the report, i tried to put zero suppression by right
clicking on the query and enable zero suppression. Then the error is getting..
Can some one help me to resolve this issue?
The error is not only for suppression of zero values, but for all the tabular fns in the query properties when we click after the query execution

How to suppress zero values in EVDRE Report?
Hello.
In my EVDRE Report I need zero values to be suppressed.
But SAP BPC NW 7.0 Help says that
The system does not suppress rows or columns returning a zero (where a zero amount is stored in the database)
So how can I suppress zero values?
P.S. In SAP BPC 7.0 for Microsoft platform "Suppress" parameter suppresses both zero and NULL values just like I need.
Thanks.I have next options in EVDRE ExpandRange:

Suppress Y

Local query properties throwing UNCAUGHT EXCEPTION
Hi Gurus
After execution of a query, when I tried to change the query properties, like Zero suppression, currency conversion etc.. its getting an error message as given below and getting disconnected
"Program Error in Class SAPMSSY1 method: UNCAUGHT EXCEPTION
SYSTEM ERROR IN PROGRAM CL_RSR_REQUEST and form CHANM_SETTINGS_SET"
How can I resolve this issue, as this is affecting all queries?
Can somebody answer the above issues?Hi,
It may be due to some Support Pack which you have not installed properly.
What you can do is copy the Same Quey with the Same Technical name, before doing this delete the existing one. It may works.
Let us know the Status....

Suppressing Zero values in a column
Hi Gurus,
I am trying to suppress all values for Zero for just one column in a query. I want the column to display it as blank when the value is zero and show the value when it is not zero.
Any suggestions please?Hi Voodi,
Thanks for ur response, I know abt going to the properties to do that, but it will suppress the value for all the columns and I am trying to suppress for just one column and not all the columns.
Let me know if you have any other suggestion.

Suppress zero values for data labels in a stacked bar chart.
I've seen this question asked before, but I can't seem to find anyone who knows how to do this. I've made a stacked bar chart from a crosstab result, and I don't want to show labels that have a zero value. This seems like others would have this same issue as it can really clutter up a chart. The link below shows my chart. I am trying to remove the labels that say "On-PW 0"
http://i1199.photobucket.com/albums/aa472/gno722/question%20examples/crystalquestion.jpgthe steps below will work on a regular chart..not sure about stacked...
1) in Preview mode of the report click on a Y axis value and go to Data Y Axis Options
2) go to Scale and set a Minimum Value of .001
3) check the Don't Draw Out Of Scale Values
cheers,

hi all,
I just completed my application and import the COD File in Blackberry simulator 8300 . In my mobile after login click on button it throws error and exit the application.
It throws "uncaught Exception:width/offset argument cannot be negative or exceed the text length"
Kindly give suggestionHello,
You should ask in the
Lightswitch forum.
If this WAS in the Lightswitch forum, I suppose you should ask in Microsoft's ASP.Net forums:

Hi Experts,
is there a way to suppress zeros values with Grid object?
thanks
PaoloHi Konstantin,
what do you mean by clear the cell? Can you provide an example?
To be more clear: all columns of the grid are not editable for me.
I fill manually a datatable and bind the grid to the datatable.
Thank you

ThreadPoolExecutor and Uncaught Exceptions. Thread Leakage
Hi All
Maybe this is answered somewhere but I didn't find a good answer.
My questions is What happens with the Thread when the executing task ends because of an Uncaught Exception?
Is it possible that the thread in which the task was running never come back to the pool (Thread leakage)?
In general what situations could cause that threads never come back to the pool when using a ThreadPoolExecutor object?
Thanks a lot in advancegogoasa wrote:
I am just exploring this problem. My experience on this is that if your Runnable throws RuntimeException, the Worker finishes, never to be revived again. So, for example, if you have a ThreadPoolExecutor which originally has a fixed pool size of 50 threads, it will lose a Thread/Worker for each RuntimeException thrown. If it runs long enough, one by one workers will disappear. Strangely enough, the last Worker will continue forever, untill the workQueue is exhausted. I wonder if this is intended behaviour or a bug.looking at the code, this could probably be termed a "bug". basically, threads are added only when the Executor.execute method is called (so, when new tasks are added). so, if you have a long initial queue and threads are terminated, they will not get replaced to service existing tasks. only the addition of new tasks will cause new threads to be created. and, as you noted, the termination code does require that one thread stay alive. not sure why the termination code does not replace threads if the queue is not empty.
my guess is that this code is not optimized as you really shouldn't be throwing uncaught exceptions. in fact, if you call submit instead of execute (such that you get back a Future), you won't have this problem as the Future handling traps all thrown exceptions (thus, the executor will never see an uncaught exception). -

ThanksWow, that' s awesome, I encountered the same problem with ya today when trying implement Pickers in Tabbar, and can't figure out why, the debugger just throw back such vague message and guess what ? I spent like 3 hours banging my head against the wall wonder why it's not working, I using XCode 2.2.1, my debugger wont work ( program won't stop at break points for what ever I tried ), and not very friendly with those newbie like me - really don't know where are all the Apple's software developer 1337 ? As I remembered, all the good ones goes for the hardware, "the rest" goes for the software =)), but thanks again, thanks, and again, click the tab bar, set both the class and nib file would get rid of the errors, if it would help some one, the credit goes to the two above, say thanks to them, like me. Have a nice day guys, I 'ma happy .

How do I fix this?Having the same issue with Numbers in iWork. Was on the phone with Apple Support and went through a variety of trouble shooting methods to no avail.
Here is the message that occurs on every attempt to start Numbers. This is a user specific issue as I am able to run numbers in a Guest user mode.

If anyone has any advice I am all ears.

Suppress repeated values.
Dear all,
In one of our report, we use the value PPM which is provided as user entry value. This is populated in the column of the report. This value is appearing in the report for all the charactereistic element for example material etc.,
Alongwith this there are other key figures like qty received etc., my requirement is that if the value for the keyfigure (qty received) is present only then the keyfigure PPM be displayed in the column otherwise the column should be blank.
Can any experts throw some light on how to achieve this.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
M.MDear Sam,
Thank you very much for the information. I did the same and found that it is working fine. In one of the columns we have the PPM - plan which will be default display values in all rows. I have used the suppression for column, rows which have zero values (option in the query properties)- even after this i am not getting the requirement met.
My requirement is as follows.
There are key figures like receipt qty, accepted qty, rejected qty,ppm-plan and ppm.
Based on the calculation , the ppm will be displayed - if there is no receipt qty ,accepted qty and rejected qty , the ppm will also be blank(Zero) - in this case i don't want the line to be displayed. Now the line is displayed because of the default value for PPM plan.
Your suggestion is working as far as the plan is not in the column - is there any provision of achieving my requirement even when the plan is present in the column.
Your expert advise will be of much use.
Regards,
M.M -
Still getting uncaught exception in c++ API running keywords query
When I run a search based on keyword in java application, the first time, most likely the query results is returned, but for the subsequent keywords searches, the application throws the error below...

I know one of the many things to consider fixing this problem is to make sure all berkeley db xml objects (e.g. xmlContainer, XmlManager, XmlResults, XmlQueryExpression, etc) delete() method is called on those obects once they are done to free resources etc. I've been doing all that and still getting the error. This problem doesn't happen when i run a search for based on id (attribute value).
Note: I'm not explicitly using trasanction since i turned on transaction in EnvironmentConfig to create XmlManager.

Edited by: user3453165 on Jan 20, 2010 7:20 AMI am using berkeley db xml 2.5.13 on windows xp. Yes that's the complete error message. I am going to add my environment class and also part of the keyword search class that extends the environment, which will give u idea about how i'm creating and using transaction. I don't explicitly use transaction. I used to explicitly use it but i thought it's redundant. So when i create the db environment, i just call envc.setTransactional(true) and pass the EnvironmentConfig object (i.e. envc) to the environment to create instance of XmlManager and this is fine. Look below and u will see what i mean. Please let me know if u need more information. Thanks for your help. Appreciate it.

How do I fix the error: Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException'
Help!
I have a 3rd party application that used to work perfectly until this morning. The problem is not do to an update of that program nor of updating the Mac OS. This came out of the blue. When I try to open the application, it won't open and I get the error: Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException'
I looked around the forum and read it might be because of a bad font? But I don't find detailed instructions on how to delete or fix the corrupted font.
I have tried deleting the application, then downloading a new copy and installing that - same problem.
Please don't respond with I should go call the programmer of the 3rd party application. If you know where the problem is in my MacBook Air, please help me fix it.
I have a MacBook Air running OSX version 10.6.8
Thanks for your helpHere's the full error report in case anyone who reads this has the same problem and figured out an answer:

Not to print Zero values in SMART Forms
Hi all,
I have a problem there is a field in SMART FORMS if it is having a zero value it should not print value as 0.00 instead there should be a blank. How to print blank instead of Zero value.
Waiting for helping hands in this problems. Thanks in Advance.
AbdulHi Mohammed
Could you please try like ( I ) after the field .
this suppresses the initial values.
i.e : &wa_data(I)&
Hope this helps
Regards
Caglar

Throwing an exception from XSLT
Just wanted to share a finding with the Oracle XDB community and possibly suggest an enhancement to the xdb product development team (care of MDRAKE).
I had a scenario where I wanted to throw an exception from the XSLT.
A little Googling revealed this helpful post:
http://weblogs.asp.net/george_v_reilly/archive/2006/03/01/439402.aspx
...so I gave it a shot.
In my XSLT, I have a <xsl:choose> block with the following <xsl:otherwise> block:
<xsl:otherwise>
<xsl:message terminate="yes">Unknown Document Type</xsl:message>
</xsl:otherwise>I used a stub test to run this through, giving it a file which would exercise the exception:
select xmltype(bfilename('XML_RESOURCES', 'data.xml'),0).transform(xmltype(bfilename('XML_RESOURCES', 'sanitize_xml.dev.xsl'),0))
from dual;..and to my 'joy', I did get an exception:
ORA-30998: transformation error: execution of compiled XSLT on XML DOM failedHmm...would of been nicer to get something like what Eclipse/Xalan pops out:
file:/H:/eclipse_indigo_workspace/XSLT/sanitize_xml.xsl; Line #28; Column #59; Unknown Document Type
(Location of error unknown)Stylesheet directed termination...i.e. my custom error message "Unknown Document Type" isn't output by Oracle.
Just to be safe, I tried a file which would NOT exercise this xsl:otherwise block and it did run through OK.
So, could XDB report a better error?

Now with respect to message the question is where...
We 'could' output into the same buffer as is used by DBMS_OUTPUT, but that has limits in terms of the amount of output that can be generated.
We could write it to the trace file, but that may be difficulat for a developer to get to
We could write it to a log file in the XDB repository, but where and how to name it...
We could another parameter to XMLTransform, which would be a Message Buffer
All of these are in effect enhancements..
BTW I checked with XML Spy and they seem to ignore message too, so I'm wondering how widely used this is...
We cannot add it to the output of the XSL since XMLTransform defines the output of the XML to be well formed XML, and adding a random set of text nodes would viloate that rule..
