Survey - internet scenario

Hi experts,
how can i use the Survey Suite for an Internet scenario??? in help.sap.com the following is stated:
You can do this by downloading the required HTML survey to your PC. From here, you have two options:
*Copy the HTML survey into any Web site
*Send HTML survey attached to an e-mail
The corresponding options for having the results sent back is http(s).
i am lookign more on the marketing side.
how is this done?
all i know is that for the get/send options is i have to choose https. but i can't choose any files since there aren't any. does any one happen to have those XML files?

http and https are either unsecure or secure methods of transmission of the survey data via the internet, basically.
We have been using BSP with anonymous login for internally run surveys to learn some of the basic Survey/Campaign functionalities, but have yet to do much researching on the http/https options.
From what I had found so far, there needs to be an external CAT server in place.  I have not yet determined how the ConnectorID functions within this yet.

  • Internet scenario - survey suite

    Hello all,
i am new to crm marketing. I was wondering if anyone has done an internet scenario for the survey suite.
I have already created the survey but I just do not know how i can implement this in an internet scenario.
When i try to generate an URL for the survey, I selected http option, but the get/send options return empty dropdown fields. From further reseach, i found out that it was due to wrongly defined XML parameters. But still get an error msg saying that the "ConnectorID not (yet) defined.
I then did further research and found that I need to install a survey servlet and I installed the survey servlet but in the end, I still get the error message "ConnectorID not (yet) defined".
Does anyone know what else I need to do or if I;missing any steps?
p/s: We are currently using CRM 5.0. Amd I have exhausted all resources. Would greatly appreciate for pointers/guidance

    Hi Lee,
I have successfully created and triggered the survey as part of one of campaign execution. The survey URL is seen in the delivered mail and also I am able to create a activity for the response of the survey. It also should work in your scenario.
Just follow the best practice document C22 step by step and you should be able to trigger survey successfully.
Let me know, if you have any difficulties.

  • Restrict Role visibility in internet scenario

    Hi Experts,
We have a external facing portal which is being used by customers and certain internal users (employees). MSS is also being hosted in the same portal. The requirement is that the employee should be able to see the MSS Role only when he accesses the portal through the intranet and not when using the portal through the internet. There is no plan to maintain separate user ID's for the internet and intranet scenario. Is this possible? Any suggestions or ideas?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Arun E V

    Hi,
    /irj/portal/internal -> filterID 10
    /irj/portal/external -> filterID 20
2 rules, filtering the URL, assigns the correpsonding desktops. The desktop will only show content/roles with the correct filterID assigned.
Should work, but you'll have to deny access to the internal URL for external access. Can be quite complicated if you have users that belong to both groups.
Have you considered dynamic role assignment? There is some example code in the SDN.

  • CRM Survey in B2C Internet Sales Application

We have CRM 2007 and are live with B2C Internet Sales Application (ISA). Now we want to make Customer Surveys accessible via B2C ISA.
For security reasons, we do not want our B2C Internet Customers to have access to the CRM system. Therefore the BSP option is ruled out. I have seen some blogs on how to enhance security for BSP option but that is also not approved in our organization so BSP option is totally ruled out.
    SAP help documenation mentions following:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm70/helpdata/en/ee/eaf995082649c6a594511e1f48672d/frameset.htm
    Internet Scenarios
Since Internet users cannot be allowed access to the CRM system for security reasons, surveys have to be made accessible in a different way. You can do this by downloading the required HTML survey to your PC. From here, you can:
Copy the HTML survey into any Web site
Send the HTML survey attached to an e-mail
    Internet Scenarios
In Internet scenarios, results can be returned by the following methods:
    Mailto
In this case, a mail client, for example, Microsoft Outlook, needs to be set up in advance on the client machine. Survey results are sent to a CRM Server Mail User, that is, a u201Cmachineu201D user. From here, the results are routed to the CRM system for further processing.
    http(s)
    Note
The http(s) case is recommended, because the user does not have to have a personal e-mail account. Here, the survey results are first sent to a Survey Mailer. The Survey Mailer receives the http request and then mails the results to the CRM Server Mail User, where they can be processed. The Survey Mailer needs to be set up by the administrator at the customer.
For presenting the Survey on ISA, we would like to take the option of Copy the HTML survey into any Web site as suggested in SAP help and would like to get back the results as per SAP help recommendation of https(s) above.
    We need guidance on follwing
    1. How to download and then copy the HTML surveys into any website (ISA)
    2. Detailed steps that are needed for gettting back the survey results.
By the way...we do understand the survey functionality and have been successful in testing the BSP option so we are not looking for general information.
    Thanks
    Vijay

    Hello Vijay,
Could you please share the information on solution steps used as per the requirement??
I'm working on the similar one.
Your earliest response would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Vijay.

  • Generate file to save on server from CRM survey results.

    Hello,
I need to generate a file from the results of a CRM Survey running in an Internetscenario.
When mailto is used an email with the attachment POSTDATA.ATT is sent back as attachment.
How can I copy this document and save it on the customers file system?
And how can this be realised when running internet scenario without using mailto.
The scenario is running on CRM 2007.
    Thanks for any ideas.

  • Survey parameter XMLs

hi can someone explain to me when the following survey XML parameters should be used.
    1) bsp
    2) mailto
    3) https
    4) http
    5) httpsmailto
    6) httpmailto

    Hi Noobie,
For a survey to be accessible via the Intranet, Extranet and Internet, you first need to define the Get and Send options. The Get option specifies how the survey is sent to the recipient, whereas the Send option specifies how the results are later sent back when the recipient submits the survey.
http, https are the Get Options.
mailto, http, https, are the send options.
In Internet scenarios, you can have the results sent back as follows:
    Mailto, http(s)
Further info is available on http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm50/helpdata/en/2c/2ddf3ac9ecc11de10000000a11402f/frameset.htm and the URL Usage link
    Hope this would help.

  • Survey Response

    Hi all,
does anyone knows, how to configure a simple survey response scenario. I created a survey which I send to customers. If the customer click on the url, fill out the survey and send it back....nothing happens.
I don't know what'S wrong....so if anybody have an idea or a good guide or blog...let me know
    Thanks in advance
    Tobias

    Hi Tobias,
When you sending a survey to a customer just append ++ at the end of the URL in your mail form. It is the tracking ID.
Also ensure that the Survey settings have checkbox, Evaluation with and without Business information Warehouse Ticked (Tcode: CRM_SURVEY_SUITE)
If you are sending survey via campaigns, ur survey should be craeted in the Marketing Application.
For every response which comes from the customer an Activity of trnasaction type 0000 gets created. Also if u check in transaction CRM_SURVEY_SUITE, there is a button called Evaluation click on that after selecting ur survey, it shall also show u the response.
    Wish the information is useful.

  • WebDispatcher Scenario with MI25 SP18 and Abap Servlet

We use MI25 client in an Internet Scenario.
We use the webdispatcher to hide from the internet the real "truehostname:53500" of the middleware Web As 640.
In this way the end user syncronize their MI25 devices pointing the webdispatcher at "anotherhostame:80".
The Webdisp recive these call from the internet and forward them to the "truehostname:53500".
To do that it uses the ms/http_port= 8134 parameter into the into the profile.cfg.
THat in case of J2EE Servlet.
NOw we have to switch from J2EE Servlet to Abap Servlet, as the J2EE servlet will be dismitted soon, and because using the Setup Package it uses the Abap Servlet.
We need to know wich port have to be inserted in ms/http_port in order to the WebDispatcher to route to the 8035 port.
35 is the middleware system number
8035 is the port of the Abap Servlet where the MI25 should point in order to syncronize.
    Any advise ?

    HI Mauro,
I'm not sure what exactly you ned to know?
The ABAP Sync is embedded in the standard ABAP HTTP Service. (transaction SICF). When you now select in the Menu GOTO->Port Information you will get the info on which port the ABAP Sync runs on the WebAS. Now direct your Webdispatcher to this port.
When using the webdispatcher also check out the following note 974840.
It describes how to add webdispatcher info to your mobile components in order to be able to deploy them to devices out in the field (as the MCs are deployed via Http Download the download link needs also to be changed to the Webdispatcher).
If you have further Question let us know...

  • Campaign Execution Vs Campaign Automation

    Hi All,
    I have following queries.
1.Whats is the main difference between Campaign Execution Vs Campaign Automation.
2.I have a requirement - To Execute Campain for different Target groups to 3-4 Communication Channels at once . if possible - Let me know - How its possible.
Please guide me. Thanks in Advance.
    Regards,
    Amrita

    hi
campaign execution is executing the campiang once all the parameters are set like target group has been defined and communication channels has been selected ,now you just have to execute the campaign to get the desired result
it can be done both manually or automatically
for automatic execution you have campaing automation
Campaign automation is designed to help you to deal with multichannel, multiwave and real-time campaigns, providing direct reactions to customer responses.
Setting up a fully-automated campaign means that employees can access the campaign automation tool directly from the campaign screen, improving planning and increasing transparency.
Campaign automation allows you to model a campaign, and once the process model is triggered, no further manual intervention is necessary. Response to a particular step can be immediate. Alternatively you can set up a batch response, for example, carried out either at periodic intervals or once a certain number of responses have been collected.
for using multiple channels in automation u need to look into this:
Campaign Automation in the Different Channels
Campaign automation allows you to integrate the following business scenarios into the modeling of an automated marketing campaign:
          Interaction Center
          Survey
          Internet Sales; Business-to-Consumer or Business-to-Business
For more information about the prerequisites for using campaign automation in each of these scenarios, see Customizing for Customer Relationship Management by choosing   Marketing   Marketing Planning and Campaign Management   Campaign Automation   Campaign Automation in the Different Channels.
just create target group for the every channel
same target group should be there ,then u can use the campaing elemsnts for ur purpose
this way u will be able to do campaign automation using diff comm. channels
    best regards

  • How to configure Integration B2B to request and process AS2 Sync MDN

    Hi,
Is it possible to configure B2B to request and process sync MDN in Custom Document Over Internet scenario?
I have set up the TP Delivery Channel's Acknowledgement mode to Sync but It does not work for outgoing documents. Our trading partner sends back MDN over the same https connection but it only results in an error. The business message status of is Wait Ack for few minutes and then changes to Error:

Transport error: [IPT_HttpSendError] HTTP encounters send error :.
    Premature EOF encountered
Also our trading partner reports that he gets the message six times during the time between Wait Ack and Error status and each time send Ack. Nothing is visible in b2b.log in that time.
When we switch to Async Ack, B2B also sends message six times and each time receives Async MDN. This time however, each MDN is received and processed correctly. Our request has status Complete, until the 6th Ack is received, then it changes to the same error as above.
Have any of you experienced above error? Is it at all possible to process AS2 MDN's correctly especially in Sync mode?
    Thank you in advance.

Just consider your BPM is receiver, and sender:
Src --> BPM  (BPM is Receiver)
    ==========
Sender Agreement (If it is IDOC or HTTP, then you do not have to create)
    Commnunication Channel
    Receiver Determination
    Interface Determination
BPM --> Target (BPM is sender)
    ============
    Receiver Determination
    Interface Determination
    Communication Channel
    Receiver Agreement
If your BPM interact with other systems, you will have more Receiver Determination and Interface determination, possible Receiver agreement
    Hope this clear your doubts

  • Regarding the concept of reseller

    Hi,
       I am a fresher in SAP-SD.
Could anyone give information on " what is the concept of reseller ? "

    Hi Srikanth,
I don't have much knowledge about this reseller. But I know a little one. That one only I am sharing with you.I think mainly it comes under CRM.
This process enables your distributor/reseller to access staging area items in your DRM(Distributor reseller management) system created by its transmissions.
    Your distributor/reseller can:
View the status of its transmissions and the line items created in the DRM staging area from them.
Make corrections in errored staging table line items created from its transmissions. After removing the errors, one  can release staging items to update your DRM system.
Staging area corrections in the Internet scenario saves time involved in communicating and correcting mistakes, and thereby reduces the time involved in processing of EDI(Electronic Data Interchange) reports sent by your distributors/resellers.
One of the prerequistive is : We have to Maintain authorizations for your distributors/resellers to access the staging area on your Web site.
    Regards,
    Krishna.

  • Web browser on N810 - Javascript problems

Using the standard web browser on the N810 for BBC or Facebook the machine hangs for a long time and then a warning pop-up appears saying that a Javascript script has stopped responding.  Cancelling the script allows the rest of the page to load very quickly.
This is very disappointing given that the latest OS and software is supposed to support the latest Flash and Javascript.  Any solutions to this?
    Thanks.

Thanks for the information - your reviews are very helpful and it certainly looks like tear might provide a solution in the future. The thing is I'm looking for Flash to be fully supported on the product.
Please take a look at the video I posted on youtube, which demostrates the issue as it manifests itself in a typical internet scenario - appologies it's a bit long winded...
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d3MzQsFmI28
I remain very dissapointed with Nokia's lack of support on this issue, I mean how can you describe something as an Internet Tablet these days without fully supporting Flash. Call me naive by all means...
It may be that I have to wait for a Google OS based device to come on the market.

  • Optical Archiving in SAP.

    Hi,
I am using OAC0 Transaction to point to a content server. Right now, I see that IXOS is the preferred and marketed CMS, by SAP. I would like to know, if there are any free CMS, out there like IXOS, for training purposes.
Once I get the Free Content Server Established in the system, I'd like to know, how i can connect to it successfully, via OAC0. and test it for sanity.
Also, I'd like to know, if it would be possible to link, a saved document in the CMS, to a Viewer, just like the IXOS Java Viewer, to see the Scanned and Archived image. I guess we use the OAAR, Transaction, but i don't really know how to customize it, in order to link it to a viewer. I see some methods, CARD, CDDW, CARF, which don't make too much sense to me right now.
    Regards,
    Owais...

    Aby,
SAP DMS is a module core embedded in SAP R/3 and works perfect if you are using tradional R/3
modules. You would go for SAP DMS if you want to leverage the enhanced and standard features of SAP such as document sharing across multiple objects, Archiving, Searching and other Internet scenarios.
If I understand correctly the documents which you would like to store are security documents which you would not potentially like to share with anybody with in the company. Also SAP HR is a stand alone module(with limited connectivity to other SAP areas) compared to traditional modules such as MM,SD,FI and PP.
Hence I think the best solution seems to be optical archiving which could be accomplished via an archive link interface to SAP ( Or a standard interface from HR) or other external vendor softwares such as livelink/doculink. Optical archiving is normally implemented with out SAP DMS.
Regarding linking to HR, you cannot maintain an object link directly however you need to modify certain objects to accomplish this.
I am completely unaware of HR DMS. I think it is better to check with SAP directly on this.

  • Disable multiple logon from SAP NetWeaver Portal

    Hello
I'd like if there is a parameter inside SAP NetWeaver Poral to disable multiple logon with the same account(like login/disable_multi_gui_login for ABAP).
    Thanks in advace
    Regards
    Stéphane

    Look at service.sap.com
This authentication only works for S-users (as well as SAP employees) who are active accounts in SAP's AD. That works via the internet for SAP customers and employers (e.g. from each other's networks but their own devices) as well.
With a SAML IdP you have a lot more flexibility in choosing the source of the first authentication and managing complex access rights through to the backend.
But you are correct: if there are not too many users to manage and they are smart enough to periodically generate a client certificate and they are physically attached to their own personal devices, then a Certificate Authority or even Open SSL solution is another option.
I guess it would be usefull to know how many users there are and how the authentication through from the NW portal to the ABAP backend system is going to replaced. Also how much user context information is needed on the backend system still, if at all anymore.
I think we need more information here still before we can safely conclude that a client certificate is appropriate for an internet scenario.
I am more worried about all those issues like stolen certificate and so on.
From my SDN experiences it is more often a case of people loosing their certificates and user IDs than one of other people stealing them..    The vaste majority of the 2 million users are using passwords and those who are active seem to be happy with the password reset service --> also an option.
    Cheers,
    Julius
