There is a requirement to display failure messages/suspended messages in BAM portal.Please help me how to provide this solution.

As per requirement, I need to display all resumable/Non-resumable messages in both BAM and ESB Portals.for resumable messages,admin will resubmit the messages from ESB Portal.Please let me know how to achieve this requirement.

I have a project requirement, where I have to show all failure messages(resumable\non-resumable) in BAM and ESB portal.
Order Creation Process:
1. Developed Main Orchestration and exposed as a webservice for front end client. There are sub -process orchestration involved
2.Front end client will consume Main Orchestration Service and submit the data
3.There are multiple sub -process orchestration are involved after receving the data from Main Orchestration
4.while executing Order Process, if any error occurs in any of the orchestration then those failure's to be displayed in BAM and ESB Management Portal
5. Based on the Order ID End User will need to search failure message details from BAM
6. The failure message will be resubmit from ESB Management Portal for further process.
Please let me know your thoughts on how to provide the solution for above approach

RZ20 error message to be displayed on SRM Portal

Hello Gurus,
Can you someone provide me the idea of , how to display the error message of RZ20 on SRM Portal. We want to display the error message BP603 PO *** Item 001 Order **** budget exceeded.
I want this message to be displayed on the SRM portal . Basically I want to do the validation for both SC as well as PO. I checked the DOC_CHECK_BADI and its already Z implemented . Please do find the attached screenshot.

Hi Gautham,
If you can replicate the issue, please put an external break point in the following functiona module.
FM: BBP_PD_MSG_ADD
Line in FM: IF <bypass_log> IS ASSIGNED.
This FM would be triggered for all the errors which are populated in SRM.
When the break-point is triggered look for values in the fields: I_MSGID, I_MSGNO and I_MSGV*.
In this way you can identify the message application and number after which we can backtrack the code which is doing this budget check in the transaction SE91 and same logic can be implemented in BBP_DOC_CHECK_BADI to display the error in a purchasing document.
Let me know your findings.

LSO_CHECK_BOOKING custom error messages are not displayed

Hi,
Good day! I am currently experiencing some problems displaying custom error messages from BADI LSO_CHECK_BOOKING. I have implemented this Badi and is appending error messages in CT_MESSAGE_TAB however when the message is displayed in portal, the custom message is not displayed. Instead, SAP displays a predefined error "Error When Creating Prebooking with the data entered..."
Is there a way for me to display my custom error message instead of the predefined SAP message?

You have not mentioned, which portal you are using. Please see below, that there are differences in the learning and the admin portal:
Learning Portal:
The framework of the existing design of the Learning Portal does not
allow customer specific error messages to be displayed in the portal.
Only a generic message will be displayed when prebooking in the learning
portal if the BADI LSO_CHECK_BOOKING returns an error. The design of the
application does not expect to raise an exception from the BADI. If the
BADI processing is assumed to be unsuccessful, the messages filled by
the BADI will be ignored and a general error message will be displayed
in the portal.
So this is basically a design limitation.
Administrator Portal:
Have you tried e.g. the following notes?
SAP Note 1806593 Admin Portal: Message is not displayed while prebooking
SAP Note 1575238 LSO: BADI LSO_CHECK_BOOKING does not show warning messages

BAM Portal is only displaying one day of aggregations

Has anyone else seen this behaviour and better still how did you resolve

We implemented a BAM solution using BizTalk Server 2013 and Standard SQL
server 2012 that contained an aggregation. We set up a scheduled aggregation as
described
here.
In production if we open the BAM portal and expand the Aggregations we always
only see the most recent days data.
In contrast the UAT environment if we look at the aggregations in the BAM portal
we see several months of data.
Currently can not find any difference between the database objects
between UAT and Production i.e. the BAM_AN_All_GCTM and the SQL agent job that
runs the package regularly. We have confirmed that all the data is present in
the BAMPrimaryImport tables but the portal is not displaying all the data.
Please let me know why we a seeing this difference of behaviour between our
UAT and Production environment.

Have you tried the BM commands -activitywindow across the two systems to verify if the aggregation durations are the same across the systems?

Work item not getting displayed in the portal

Hi experts,
We are creating a protoype for one of the standard HCM form for change in working time. When we initiate the process, the workflow is supposed to identify the agent(which is the manager in this case) and push the work item in the inbox of the manager.
In our issue, we are able to see the workitem in SAP inbox, but the same work item is not getting displayed in the portal.
If we try to approve from the SAP inbox, the hard coded message u201CWork item can only be executed using the Portal and the UWLu201D comes. [this comes through the method of one of the tasks 17900101 which we are using for approving the form]
We commented the message by using a Z class. Now we donu2019t get the hardcoded message, but still the workflow does not complete from here.
Can this be aan integration issue of the workflow tasks with the portal??Can someone elaborate on this??

Data not display in BAM Dataobject through sensor in Bpel process.

I am trying to integrate BAM with BPEL process in oracle 11g. I have created BAM Activity and variable sensor
in BPEL process but when i run my BPEL process then no data is display in BAM corrsponding to it. Error is coming at backend "not able to invoke writeToBAM operation in BAM Adapter".
Also this error is coming at SOA server console:
Exception: BINDING.JCA-12563
Exception occured when binding was invoked.
Exception occured during invocation of JCA binding: "JCA Binding execute of Reference operation 'writetoBAM' failed due to: javax.security.auth.login.LoginException: [Security:090304]Authentication Failed: User javax.security.auth.login.LoginException: [Security:090301]Password Not Supplied".
The invoked JCA adapter raised a resource exception.
Please examine the above error message carefully to determine a resolution

More than one Spaces are getting trimmed on BizTalk BAM portal

Hi All,
We are implementing BAM at our customer place , we observed ,if any field contains more than one space in input file then these spaces are getting trimmed in single space,however it is correctly sitting in the BAMPrimaryImport database
For example if input file ,which is processing through BizTalk, and if any field which value is "AB CDE" (field contain three space here ) then in portal it is appearing as
"AB CDE" (Only one space here) by default
I am not sure how theses values are displayed in portal and how to relove this default behiaver of BAM Portal, if somebody have faced this situation then i will appreciate your help please

Well then I guess it's a Portal issue (yes you already knew that!) :-)
I know not everybody agrees with me, but the way I look upon it, the Portal should not be used as a product, but merely as a testing tool and inspiration as to what one can build on top of ones BAM activities. In other words, if you need to present your
BAM data to users, you should build your own; Pivot Tables, Reporting Services, ASP.NET Web sites etc. etc. on top of it.
Don't know if this is true, but I've heard that the BAM portal was a beta-product that shipped for the first time with BizTalk Server 2006 without being completed, and no code changes has taken place since.

Problem in displaying navigation into portal

Hi Guys,
I have created one ume user test by login into portal as administrator and have given permission to System, Content and User Admin.
Now, when i'm login into portal with this created test user, I'm getting problem.
Clicking on Content Admin role -> 2nd lavel navigation is not geting displayed, instead error message comming saying - exceptionjava.lang.NullPointerExceptionerror in closing connection java.lang.NullPointerException
When, i click on System Admin role -> getting same error message in the same place and nothing else coming in the window.
And, same for User Admin also.
Where could the problem might be ?
Please suggest. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Praddy,
My advice is to take a look at the default.trc file in the logs folder of the server. Hopefully there will be move information in there that will tell you more about the problem. The error message that is displayed on the screen to the user is not very useful - there should be more info in the trace file.

How we can change the back ground color of the report in activity search page in BAM portal?
For example :
If i select ALL in Business Data drop down list or
items to show list box in activity search page of BAM portal (Like Started ,in progress,Completed and Exception of the messages in biz talk)
Each message information in report should generate with different colors .

BAM Portal Aggregations Outside server - OWC Error

Is there a list of things which needs to be done in order to successfully view the BAM SSAS Aggregations in BAM Portal outside the server ?
At the moment , the BAM portal throws the below Error as Office Web Components Error.
Failed to get data. If available, errors returned from the provider are listed below.
* The following system error occurred: The requested name is valid, but no data of the requested type was found. .

I had already tried the HTTP access to Analysis services and also verified the BAM permissions as well.
Aggregations works fine locally through BAM portal which means HTTP access to Analysis services is already in place .
Firewall turned off in the server ,hence no need to open the ports.
Note : both BAM Portal (IIS) & Analysis services are in the same server and running under a local account.
The problem however is accessing the BAM portal remotely from another server using the local account credentials.
The issue is more specific to the error message below
Failed to get data. If available, errors returned from the provider are listed below.

BAM Portal issue while implementing BAM tutorial 4

Hello All,
I am trying to implement BAM tutorial. I have deployed everything as specified in the tutorial, except for RTA. I am not using RTA.
When I checked the BAM Portal I can see views and activities over there. But not all fields are having values in it.
Do anyone have any idea why few fields are blank over here?

The reason for fields in a BAM View being empty is because
They are not assigned any value - Values in BAM are assigned either through TPE mapping OR through BAM API in the orchestration.
If a BAM Activity is populated using a mixture of BAM API & TPE then it is possible that there are different fields being used for Activity ID and as a result TPE is mapping the same activity using Message ID while the orchestration is using the Instance
Id to create the activity. In such a scenario TWO activities are being created.
In your case, it is possible that you've missed some steps in the tutorial where after deploying the Activity (through bm.exe) there may have been instructions on TPE and mapping of the message instance data into the BAM Activity.

Getting portal hostname and displaying on the portal masthead.

I have some requirement, where in my portal masthead I need to display some string based on the portal hosname.
eg, if my hostname is portaldev.abc.com then in my masthead I need to display a string portal development system.
I am new to the portal development, can somebody pls suggest me in getting the portal hostname and pls give me some code snippet on this. appreciate your help , many thanks.

The following portal component could be used to replace your masthead iView . Basically it makes a small table which has the normal masthead plus a bit of code that works out which host you're on and puts out a message,
Make an iView from it and add it to your framework page in place of the regular masthead and you'll then get the appropriate information.

Confirm the BAM Application Pool user is a member of the IIS_WPG group. Here are the steps just in case:
1. Open the BAM virtual directory properties and note the Application Pool specified.
2. Open the BAM AppPool properties and go to the Identity tab. This will tell you the account executing the
w3wp.exe process.
3. Confirm this user is a member of the IIS_WPG group.
