Typedef Error when compiling niScope for DLL using CVI

I am getting the following error when trying to compile a DLL for the NI 5122 digitizer using CVI:
Error creating type library:
All structs, unions, and enums required by exported functions must be typedefs in order to create a type library. The struct/union/enum "niScope_wfmInfo" does not use such a typedef.
I have created a variable and "typedefed" it as niScope_wfmInfo to try and get rid of this error. This did not work. I have tried making several other changes. Some have eliminated the error but created problems with the DLL.
Has anyone had a similar error to this? If so, how did you get around it?

Hi Heather,
The reason that you are receiving this error is because the niscope.h file (called by niScope.fp) uses a struct which cannot be compiled into a DLL. This means that the niScope.fp file cannot be included in the target settings. Here's a knowledgebase that describes the error.

If you do want the niScope.fp file to be included then you will need to make some modifications to the niscope.h file and create a typedef for the niScope_wfmInfo struct. Here's info from the help file that describes the type library section and the use of the .fp file.
"Type Library—This button lets you choose whether to add a type library resource to your DLL. Also, you can choose to include links in the type library resource to a Windows help file. LabWindows/CVI generates the type library resource from a function panel (.fp) file. You must specify the name of the .fp file. You can generate a Windows help file from the .fp file by using the Generate Windows Help command in the Options menu of the Function Tree Editor window.
This feature is useful if you intend for your DLL to be used from Visual Basic."
If you do not include the niScope.fp file then you will be able to compile the DLL.

Error FRM-91500 when compile from remote host

Dear all,
I have a problem when compiling forms from remote using 'frmcmp.sh'. It creates error :
"FRM-91500: Unable to start/complete the build."
and when I try to compile from remote host using 'frmcmp', it creates error:
"frmcmp: error while loading shared libraries: libjvm.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"
The problem is also occured when I use vnc, ssh, telnet. So I can't complie forms when I login from remote host.
But,
the problem doesn't occured if I compile forms by login FROM SERVER directly. There's no firewall between me and the server, network connection is good, and I already try some advice from this forum using:
export ORACLE_TERM=vt220
export DISPLAY=202.181.18.31
But It still doesn't work. I try export DISPLAY using my local Ip-address, using my gateway ip-address, but none of them works. Please help me solve this problem so I can compile from remote host

OS Enterprise Linux AS release 4 (October Update 4)

your DISPLAY isn't correct,
it should be something like
export DISPLAY=203.81.184.30:0.0
where 0.0 stands for your local display and the virtual screen on it ..
(or something like that ... )
in any case I first would check the X-Session using some standard X-application
like xterm or xclock
as long as they don't work, your compile will fail

Any alternatives for compiling of applications / libraries using C++11 Standard Headers not supported in Studio 12.4?

As mentioned in Compiler Issues - Oracle® Solaris Studio 12.4: Release Notes, the following statement below has listed 4 headers which are unsupported in C++11 Mode (-std=c++11):

However, some applications / libraries (e.g. Mozilla Firefox) may require the use of unsupported C++11 Standard Headers, so what options do I have if I need to compile these applications / libraries using Studio 12.4 (I can use g++ compiler, but there are more errors during compilation using g++ as compared to CC, which is difficult to fix)? Plus, there are some performance issues (e.g. run-time) that I may take into consideration when compiling, which I may use CC for compilation as compared to g++.

If those headers are included, you get an error message saying they are not supported. (We intend to support them in a future release.) If the headers are included because features from the headers are needed by the program, you are out of luck. Otherwise, I suggest you modify the source code so that unsupported headers are not included. (Why include a header that you don't need?)
We considered supplying stubs for the unsupported headers that would contain no declarations. That approach seemed like it would just lead to more questions and complaints. The header would appear to compile, but code using the header features would not.

I did copy it to my desktop, but it still won't let me open it. I think the file on the disc might be corrupt or something like that though the cd itself checks out fine as far as viruses go. I was able to verify the disc, but that's about it. My husband tried it on his iMac and we have the same issue. It's unzipping the folder, but won't let us open the folder on both the Mac Book Pro or the iMac by double clicking, going to file/open or right clicking. It just keeps saying the same message as I posted above. I think I'm just going to have the client put the pictures on either a memory card or a USB memory stick so she won't have to compress the files for zipping purposes. It's been too frustrating trying to open this folder on this cd she gave me. She said she created/zipped the cd on her Mac Book Pro but it sure won't open on mine.

Incorrect ADT version when compiling using updated AIR SDK in Flash Builder

I was wondering if anyone else has come across adt version issues when compiling with Flash Builder.
I just downloaded Flash Builder 4.7 (I had 4.6 installed previously). I upgraded due to AIR SDK issues when trying to send my app to iOS. I downloaded AIR 3.7 SDK and done the whole "overlay" described here http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-builder/kb/overlay-air-sdk-flash-builder.html but when trying to compile it Flash Builder, it states that version 3.7 is not only up to 3.1 I did a check of the adt that is being used (adt -version) and it returns back that it is version 3.1 This is the one contained within the sdks/4.6.0/lib folder. If I copy the one from the AIRSDK folder and check the version on that 3.7 comes up correctly, but it needs files that are contained in the AIRSDK folder, so I'll need to copy more than just the adt.jar file.
Really I'm just trying to see if anyone knows what I can change in Flash Builder to point to the AIRSDK folder instead of the sdks/4.6.0/lib folder so I'm not constantly updating my adt.jar file each time I install a new AIR SDK.

OK, not the best solution (hopefully someone will be able to tell me where to update Flash Builder to point to the AIRSDK directory instead of {FB install dir}/sdks/4.6.0/lib, but until then, here's a work around.
First make sure to backup your old aot and android directories in your {FB install dir}/sdks/4.6.0/lib and your original adt file (I just renamed them to fileOrDir_original)
Then copy your adt.jar file, aot dir, android dir, and I copied legacy dir also to your {FB install dir}/sdks/4.6.0/lib
You should now be able to compile using the 3.7 AIR SDK. There's another fix for PIE in AIR 3.8, so I may be updating again soon to the labs build. I'm hesitant to copy any more files over in case it stops my non-mobile AIR builds from working, but hopefully this will be good enough for mobile builds and for anyone else having this issue in Flash Builder.

FMB size changes when compiled using ifcmp60 compared to using ifbld60

We observed that when we batch compiled our forms size of the FMB reduced quite a bit after batch compile and save compared
to what it was to originally when compiled and saved through forms builder (ifbld60.EXE). If after this form is opened in
forms builder and then compiled and saved it reverts to original size. We also checked using one of the third party form
diff utility and found both FMB’s from batch compile and one from form builder even though of different size do not have any
difference.
Now question sis what is the reason FMB size is reduced and does it not pose any kind of issue for loosing something out of
the FMB. Please explain what is this behavior with impact if any etc?
We batch compile using the following code.
For %%I in (sizechange.FMB) do start /w ifcmp60 module=%%I userid=usrname/passwd@SID batch=yes compile_all=yes Upgrade=No
build=Yes
We made a sample form named sizechange.fmb with non-db block and having program unit selecting from dual multiple times.
Environment details : Windwos 2000, Forms 6.0.8.22.1, db(8.0.6.0.0) on HP9000-UX 10.20

Didn't see they where timestamps . Yes it seems that glx is one cause of the delay. I've tried some different xorg.conf, and it's always ligglx.so or NV-GLX that slows it down. Any suggestions on how I can speed this up?
ps. The computer is ok. Although the garddrive is a SATA 3.0Gb/s, 5400 RPM. But I don't think this is the problem?

Unless you are using Spry menus as a learning experience, you should move forward to a menus system that will display properly on the millions of portable devices that won't work with Spry which was deprecated 2 years ago.
Many are using JQuery menus or pure HTML/CSS menus.
If you wish to continue your Spry for learning experience, we'll be glad to assist; please let us know.
By the way, your submenus are not showing because you need to add the red value to this rule in your vertical CSS

Fix for autoCenter problem when Move/Resize effects are used. autoCenterTransform calculates the center dynamically, using the current width/height of the target. This calculation can be one frame off if a Resize effect is running in parallel with the transform effect. Also, containers do their validation lazily, so they need to be forced to validate in order to have an up-to-date width/height. This fix addresses these problems by reordering the effects in a Parallel hierarchy to put the Resize effects (and composite effects containing Resize) at the front of the set of effects and by calling validateNow() on the target of a transform effect prior to calculating the transform center (if appropriate).

The Morena 6.0 - Image Acquisition Framework for Java(tm) Platform from http://www.gnome.sk is a package which enables you to connect to your scanner or a camera in a very intuitive way.
If you just want to see how Morena works with your scanner or camera:
- java (1.2 or higher for Windows, 1.3 or higher for Mac OS X) has to be installed on your computer
- a scanner or camera has to be installed on your computer
- download the trial package from http://www.gnome.sk
- unzipp it
- go to the examples directory of the unzipped package
- in Windows: doubleclick the runExampleShow.bat
- in MacOS:
- open the Terminal window
- change the working directory to the examples
- run .sh file (type ExampleShow.sh or sh ExampleShow.sh)
This will pop up the Twain Source Selection user interface. There, all your scanners and cameras which do have a twain driver should be listed. (About 90% of scanners and cameras on the market do have a twain driver for Windows, only a few do have a twain driver for MacOS.) Select one of them. The user interface of the selected scanner (camera) will appear. Confirm the scanning (you can set the scanning parameters first). The scanned image will be displayed in a separate window. To end the application, close that window.
Running different examples, you can test scanning with hidden UI, saving the scanned image, using ADF, taking images at regular intervals (ExampleCamera) ...

Database link error when compiling forms 6.0 and forms 6i.

Dear sirs,
We have a database link between two databases of the same version oracle 8.0.5.
Recently we have upgraded one of our databases to version 9.2.0.1 (the database where the database link was originally created ) and now we are having problems when compiling forms that have PL/SQL blocks using the database link.
The error message received when compiling the form is the following:
ORA-02068: Following severe error from dbproduc.world
ORA-00600: Internal error code, arguments: [No conversion op],[],[],[],[],[],[],[]
The forms did not present this error before, it began when we made the upgrade.
Is this a FORMS 6.0 problem ?
Is this an ORACLE 8.0.5 problem ?
Is this an ORACLE 9.2.0.1 problem ?
Can you please give me some advice to solve this problem ?

As I see, when you use a non-oracle database the tables don`t appear, you must create the realation with the table manually, on the properties
