How do i save a .m4v file to the movie folder when it will only save to the music folder?

I have a movie file in my ITunes music folder that i want to mover to the movie folder because it is a movie. The file type is a .m4v. When i click and drag it itunes wont let me drop it in movies.
What do i do??

You drag it using Windows Explorer and not in iTunes. Itunes library merely link the movie in iTunes library to your file location.
After you have dragged the file to another location, remember to link your original movie in itunes library to the new location. Right mouse click the movie, GET INFO, click LOCATE and direct to the new location (otherwise, your movie will not play)

*** may have found a fix ? *** Thanks to your post re: GDI objects I checked task manager ( added column "GDI objects")and saw 700+ whereas working 6.18 was 160 ish Got thinking - what could possibly use that many GDI objects ( firefox only uses a few hundred and it's a platform ) Then it hit me - emoticons ! So in tools/ options/ IM&SMS/ IM Appearance unchecked "show emoticons"and also unchecked "show images and other media previews"restarted Skype and GDI objects now only 164 ( down from 729 )and all other windows are repainting fine and are usable again( my problem was RDP sessions that became unusable, as I work remotely ) To be sure, have rechecked the options and restarted skype and see 700+GDI objects ( goes up from 660 when place call to echo/sound test )and removed them again to get only 164have also rebooted a few times and gone through the whole processof unchecking emoticons, restart, rechecking emoticons, restart to make sure itsnot a fluke. pretty sure this has fixed it for me ( so I now have a working 7.6.0.105 on XP SP3 ),and as your problem "sounds" the same I hope it also works for you. How can I make move podcasts to the same folder?

I want my "RadioLab" and "This American Life" audio podcasts to show up in the same folder. I want this because when I plug my iPod into my car radio the next button in my car stereo will advance to the next iPod cast of the series, but it will not advance to the next series, for example it will advance through all the RadioLab podcasts, but when it gets to the end it jumps back to the begining, it will not advance to the This Anerucan Life series.

You can make a smart playlist containing episodes of both series and play from that. Podcasts are linked together by the URL they are served from so merging ongoing series isn't really practical.

"No photos in selected Folder" message - but there ARE photos in the selected folder.

LR is not recognizing the photos in the folders. I click on the question marks to locate the files, select the folder/photos on the external hard drive, and all the previews disapper in LR and it gives me the "no photos in selected folder" error message. I'm on LR4, Mac. How do I fix this?

Thanks for the helpful suggestion John. The selection you mentioned was indeed enabled -- hence the confusion that no images were visible.
After some sleuthing, I figured out that there was a Library Filter (i.e. "Text|Attribute|Metadata|None") in effect for the parent folder and no photos matched the filter criteria. I did not notice that a filter was in effect since the the filter bar was not visible (Keystroke "\" to toggle it).
Perhaps this might suggest a feature request -- Provide a visual cue or warning that filters are in effect.
Come to think of it, if the text had simpy read "No photos match search criteria." rather than "No photos in selected Folder" it would have been clear what was going on.
I wonder if other folks have been bitten by this?

How do I make a backup of the Layouts folder for Captivate 7 Patch?

Hello -
I am trying to follow the instructions for the Captivate 7 patch, but I am not sure how to create a back-up of the Layouts folder as the instructions state to do. Additionally, they say to make the backup "and delete it". They mean to delete the original file and keep the backup file that I create, correct?
Important: Before using Adobe Captivate 7.0.1, ensure that you take a backup of the Layouts folder and delete it.
Layouts folder are present at :
Windows Location: C:\Users\Public\Documents\Adobe\eLearning Assets\
I was able to find this folder, I just need some help in creating the backup...sorry, i am not the most computer savvy person

You just need to copy it to a different folder or rename it as, say Layouts_old.

In general theory, one now has the Edit button for their posts, until someone/anyone Replies to it. I've had Edit available for weeks, as opposed to the old forum's ~ 30 mins.
That, however, is in theory. I've posted, and immediately seen something that needed editing, only to find NO Replies, yet the Edit button is no longer available, only seconds later. Still, in that same thread, I'd have the Edit button from older posts, to which there had also been no Replies even after several days/weeks. Found one that had to be over a month old, and Edit was still there.
Do not know the why/how of this behavior. At first, I thought that maybe there WAS a Reply, that "ate" my Edit button, but had not Refreshed on my screen. Refresh still showed no Replies, just no Edit either. In those cases, I just Reply and mention the [Edit].
Also, it seems that the buttons get very scrambled at times, and Refresh does not always clear that up. I end up clicking where I "think" the right button should be and hope for the best. Seems that when the buttons do bunch up they can appear at random around the page, often three atop one another, and maybe one way the heck out in left-field.
While I'm on a role, it would be nice to be able to switch between Flattened and Threaded Views on the fly. Each has a use, and having to go to Options and then come back down to the thread is a very slow process. Jive is probably incapable of this, but I can dream.
