Swap Image Restore Confusion

In a nutshell, I have three buttons - each button has a
rollover effect AND should also trigger a swap image. When you move
off the button the rollover returns, but the picture stays the
same. What am I doing wrong?
On this one the button rolls over correctly and the image
changes, but does not return to the text image on t mouse out.

This one the button does NOT roll over but the image swaps
out correctly.

I can not for the life of me get these to work TOGETHER!

Thank you in advance!

Remove everything you have.
Select the button and apply an image swap. In the list of
images, select
the first one you want to swap out, and browse to and select
the one to roll
in. Then in that same list of images, select the next one you
want to swap
out, and repeat. Do this as long as you still have images you
want to swap.
Only then would you click OK and close the behavior dialog
panel. This will
give you -

  • How to apply Swap Image Restore for only one behaviour?

Hi, I have two behaviors for one hotspot..
the first, swaps another image on mouse over..
the second, swaps another image on click..
So, i want the "swap image restore" behaviour to apply only for the first, Is there a way to do that? cuz when i try it applies to both.

    @ NancyO
I am trying to do the same thing as Magdi_alafifi - I have two swapImages on click that I want to stay and then another swapImage on mouseover with a "swap image restore" on mouse out.
    Here is my code:
    <img src="360.png" width="26" height="26" id="Image5" onclick="MM_swapImage('InnerSS','','innersolarsystemON.png',1);
    MM_swapImage('outerSS','','outersolarsystemON.png',1)" onmouseover="MM_swapImage('Image5','','360ON.png',1)" onmouseout="MM_swapImgRestore('Image5','','360.png',1)"  />
The first swapImage on click works fine, but the second one swaps on click, and resores on mouseout.  The swapImage and swapImgRestore on mouseover and mouseout works fine.
    I hope this makes sence.

  • Two Swap Image Behaviors - Only One Swap Image Restore Works

    How come?
I have a button image with a two swap image behaviors applied to it - a rollover for the OVER state and one behavior for a disjointed or "remote" rollover effect.
Both rollover effects work fine, but the disjointed or remote rollover effect does not return the button to it's original state.  (I've determined this by removing the second or remote swap image behavior and testing it.)
    Why doesn't this work?
All scripts are contained within the HTML page itself; no linked scripts are used.
    Thanks!

  • Swap image from down state

How do I return the down state of an image to the up state
onClick? I tried Swap Image Restore, that doesn't work. I want a
button that contains two states, an up and a down state. When you
click on the image in the up state, it goes to the down state. When
you click on the image in the down state, it goes to the up state.
Any help ideas, help, advice, or simple hellos would be greatly
    appreciated. Thanks!

    Rob,
I've done some research on this and from what I have
gathered, it isn't possible to do in the method we've been trying
to do. I have found a way to accomplish my goal though. I haven't
written the script yet, but it's a pretty simple idea, definitely
    beginner level javascript.
For the onClick in the img tag, you have it refer to a js
function that adds 1 the value of a variable. So if you click the
button once the value of your variable would change from 0 to 1.
When this button is clicked again, the value would change to 2. But
you then include a line that say something to the effect of if x
    > 1, x = 0. Basically on each click of the button, the value
would change to either 0 or 1. Now judging off that value is where
you define the source for the image.
Like I said, I haven't written the script yet, I have more
important things to tend to on the project I'm working on right
now, but when I do write it, I'll try to remember to post it
    here.

  • Image swap and restore

The image swap and restore won't work. I want to have one
image switch to another when clicked and then get restored to the
original image when clicked again. It lets me click once, but it
won't restore the image on another click. I found that when i
change the behavior (to say, double click) it works. Is there any
way to have the two images toggle back and forth when i have a
    single click?
    Here is my code:
    <script type="text/JavaScript">

If the MBP came with Lion, it most likely won't boot with SL. Easiest thing to do is create a bootable backup/clone of each to an ext HD, partitioned to hold each on a separate volume, ensure that the original machines can boot with their respective clones, and finally, try booting the other machine with the other clone. Images are useless since you can't boot with them to test them out.

  • System Image Restore Fails "No disk that can be used for recovering the system disk can be found"

    Greetings
                                        - Our critical server image backup Fails on one
    server -
Two 2008 R2 servers. Both do a nightly "Windows Server Backup" of Bare Metal Recovery, System State, C:, System Reserved partition, to another storage hard drive on the same machine as the source. Active Directory is on the C: The much larger D: data
partition on each source hard drive is not included.
Test recovery by disconnecting 500G System drive, booting from 2008R2 Install DVD, recovering to a new 500G SATA hard drive.
    Server A good.
Server B fails. It finds the backed-up image, & then we can select the date we want. As soon as the image restore is beginning and the timeline appears, it bombs with "The system image restore failed. No disk that can be used for recovering the system
disk can be found." There is a wordy Details message but none of it seems relevant (we are not using USB etc).
At some point after this, in one (or two?) of the scenarios below, (I forget exactly where) we also got :
"The system image restore failed. (0x80042403)"
The destination drive is Not "Excluded".
Used   diskpart clean   to remove volumes from destination drive. Recovery still errored.
Tried a second restore-to drive, same make/model Seagate ST3500418AS, fails.
Tried the earliest dated B image rather than the most recent, fail.
The Server B backups show as "Success" each night.
Copied image from B to the same storage drive on A where the A backup image is kept, and used the A hardware to attempt restore. Now only the latest backup date is available (as would occur normally if we had originally saved the backup to a network location).
Restore still fails.         It looks like its to do with the image rather than with the hardware.
Tried unticking "automatically check and update disk error info", still fail.
    Server A  SRP 100MB  C: 50.6GB on Seagate ST3500418AS 465.76GB  Microsoft driver 6.1.7600.16385   write cache off
    Server B  SRP 100MB  C: 102GB  on Seagate ST3500418AS 465.76GB  Microsoft driver 6.1.7600.16385   write cache off
Restore-to hard drive is also Seagate ST3500418AS.

for 0x80042403 says "The solution is really quite simple: the destination drive is of a lower capacity than the image's source drive." I cant see that here.
    Thank you so much.

    Hello,
    1. While recovering the OS to the new Hard disk, please don't keep the original boot disk attached to the System. There is a Disk signature for each hard disk. The signature will collide if the original boot disk signature is assigned to the new disk.
You may attach the older disk after recovering the OS. If you want to recover data to the older disk then they should be attached as they were during backup.
    2. Make sure that the new boot disk is attached as the First Boot disk in hardware (IDE/SATA port 0/master) and is the first disk in boot order priority.
    3. In Windows Recovery Env (WinRE) check the Boot disk using: Cmd prompt -> Diskpart.exe -> Select Disk = System. This will show the disk where OS restore will be attempted. If the disk is different than the intended 2 TB disk then swap the disks in
    correct order in the hardware.
    4. Please make sure that the OS is always recovered to the System disk. (Due to an issue: BMR might recover the OS to some other disk if System disk is small in size. Here the OS won't boot. If you belive this is the case, then you should attach the
bigger sized disk as System disk and/or exclude other disks from recovery). Disk exclusion is provided in System Image Restore/Complete PC Restore UI/cmdline.
    5. Make sure that Number and Size of disks during restore match the backup config. Apart from boot volumes, some other volumes are also considered critical if there are services/roles installed on them. These disks will be marked critical for recovery and
should be present with minimum size requirement.
    6. Some other requirements are discussed in following newsgroup threads:

Now for the restore test. I booted the R2 computer from the Windows 2008 R2 SP1 setup DVD and chose the repair computer option.
I plugged in the encrypted USB disk (can't remember if I did this before or after booting from the DVD).
When choosing an image to restore, it could not find any.
I got a pop-up saying that I needed to enter a key to be able to access the USB disk.
I wanted to simulate not having the key (only the password), so I cancelled out of that window.
I went to the command prompt and entered >manage-bde -unlock E: -pw
After entering the password, I exited the command window and went back to restore an image.
It found backup image on the encrypted USB disk and I chose to do a full system restore. The restore was successful.
I later tried to restore from the same USB disk again using the same method was surprised because it did not ask for a key or a password this time. The second restore was also successful.
Then, after booting up the restore R2 machine, I  noticed that the USB disk no longer had bit locker turned ON. It looked like it was not encrypted anymore.
I plugged the disk into another computer and it did NOT require a password to access it there either.
Now,  after all of the above, Here's my Question. How did the disk become decrypted? I don't remember it going thru any decryption process (that seems to take while).
Did it decrypt automatically during the first restoration?
Note (don't know if this is related): later I reformatted the USB disk twice. Each time I plugged back into the R2 machine and it want to repair the disk and after it did, the files returned. I had to go to the disk manager and remove the partition
to get it to stop doing that.
No big deal. My test was successful but I am confused as to how the USB was decrypted.
Thanks for any light anyone can shed on this.

    Hi,
From your description, I don’t see any chance that the USB disk could be decrypted. We can only decrypt the disk via UI or manage-bde
    –off.
In addition, decrypting a disk might take several hours. It could not be decrypted without any notification.
According to the above, I suggest checking if there was any mis-operation. Also, please do more tests and check if the issue can be reproduced.
    Thanks.

  • Faulty Windows after 'successful' System Image restore to new hard drive.

This question posted as ' Cut down Win 7 after System Image restore to new HDD'  in the community but no satisfactory answer.  Please may I ask here.
Win reported a successful System Image creation of C: on my E: drive.  C was replaced with a new 2TB drive (previously 1.5Tb) and the image restored.  Win reported 'successful' restoration of C: immediately followed by the common 'You must restart
your computer to apply these changes...' which I assumed was just Win taking note of the new drive.
On running, everything seems fine at first but you start to notice faults.  Most importantly Win doesn't seem to recognise itself.  If you start some of the functions in control panel (eg System Manager) you get a message from User Account
Control  'Do you want to allow the following program from an unknown publisher to make changes to this computer?'.
Windows Live Mail won't work.  You get a message 'Windows Live Mail could not be started.  Closing Windows Live Mail.  Your calendar contains corrupt data that is forcing Windows Live Mail to close (0x8E5E0247).'  I have never used the
calendar function so there shouldn't be any data there.
Browsing history in IE is there on very first opening but is immediately lost and never recovered.  Favourites are intact but all login details are lost.  All your internet feeds are lost.  Message 'The feed download was interrupted.....'
Trying to create new feeds is unsuccessful.     When you try and download something the usual IE message 'Do you want to run or save ... ' comes up at the bottom of the screen but the buttons do not work so you cannot get any downloads.
Installed non-Windows applications do seem to run OK though I usually switch back to the original drive pretty quick.
2 x Dell Precision T5500 desktops, both reasonably high spec and more or less identical though one is nearly 3 years old and the other approaching 4.  Both Win7 x64.  The fault identical on both machines.  I have had these drives in and out
so many times trying to solve this there is a real risk of damaging the disk or lead.  Can anyone suggest what might be wrong or how Win could be fixed??  I assume 2Tb is ok.  Is it normal to get a restart message after a 'Successful' image
restore message.  I've tried cloning the drive as well but got exactly the same messages and faults.  Next I was going to try creating the image after running something like EndItAll and  then seeing if the image would restore more successfully
to a different 1.5Tb drive though I don't see this should make any difference.  'Clutching at straws' comes to mind.
    Thanks.

    Hello,  thanks for your interest.
Yes, principally it's the Windows features which are faulty.  It's not that they don't work at all (except for win live mail which gives that message about being forced to shutdown), rather that there are faulty features.
All of the functions in control panel, for example, work OK. But when you select them there is this message from user account control ' Do you want to allow the following program from an unknown publisher to make changes to this computer'.   It
then goes on to give details the oddity being that the publisher is listed as 'Unknown'.  This is the standard User Account Control dialogue but the strange thing is that it is not recognising the functions coming with windows.    If you
click yes it goes on to open device manager or whichever one it was that you wanted and the function works quite normally.
Non windows applications (including Microsoft Office) run normally without the user account control dialogue.  The only oddity I noticed today was that one program seemed to have lost it's licencing information and gave a message that the
month trial period was up with an invitation to licence.
Today I tried to restore an image to a replacement 1.5TB disc. (i.e. the same size as the image was made from). The whole process went quite smoothly and Windows seemed to be working without the faults on the replacement drive.     So
having shown that the image must be OK I tried swapping the 1.5 drive for the 2Tb drive and repeating the restore from the same image.   Immediately on running, Windows gave me the message 'You must restart the computer to apply these changes....
(which it had not done for the 1.5Tb restoration) and all the old faults were back.   The message might be quite innocent and simply indicate that Windows is taking note or the different size drive but it seems to be associated with the arrival of
the faults. (The new drive is formatted as for the 1.5Tb with C: and Recovery partitions and the extra space left unallocated).
No, I have not tried Reinstalling Windows Live Mail yet. Today I was working on the newer machine and my mail is on the older one. It is odd that both machines show exactly the same problem. It must be something to do with the move to a different size disk.   I
guess I would have to reinstall IE as well as that was the other application that was really faulty.
Yes, that is the thread I tried in the community but I didn't get any solution.

  • Rollover, hotspot, swap image????

One of my links in my employoee website has a number of
pictures. They are each on their own layer but they overlap
eachother so only one image should show at a time. I have a
selection to the left of the image where the person can click on a
department and a different picture will show up for that
department. I first have to create that in Fireworks and I'm not
sure how. I have each department selection (text) on it's own layer
in photoshop and each picture on it's on layer. Can you explain to
me what I need to do for this? Is it called "swap image" or
    rollover or hotspot?
Then after I do that, I want people to be able to drag their
mouse curser over people's faces and that person's info. will
appear at the bottom. I also created every person's info. as a
layer in photoshop. Can someone explain how to do this?

    > Are you
    > saying just do my slices in Fireworks and then use
    Dreamweaver to finish?
    That's what I'm saying, yes.
    > could you please explain to me how to do the hotspots
    over the people's
    > faces so that when the mouse is over a title bar appears
    at the bottom of
    > the
    > screen that has their name and title and then when the
    mouse is out it
    > disappears?
This will be advanced for you. It's simple enough to add a
    hotspot to an
    image in DW -
select the image, click on the Polygonal hotspot tool on the
    Property
    inspector, and draw your hotspot.
What will be trickier for you is the part about the popup.
    One simple thing
to try would be to assign a title attribute to the hotspot,
    e.g.,
    <area title="my name, my title"....
Having done this, as you mouseover that particular hotspot,
    you will get a
'tooltip' display of the contents of the title attribute.
    There are three
    downsides to this method -
    1. The tooltip only displays for a short time
    2. The tooltip only displays a certain number of characters
    (I think 100)
    in some browsers (FF)
    3. You have no flexibility in styling the tooltip or its
    contents
Notwithstanding these, it's simple enough to do, although you
    will either
have to add the necessary code (the title attribute and its
    value) manually
to the <area> tag, or you will need to use DW's Tag
    Inspector to get at the
    title attribute.

    > so I already have the 50 layers of people's names and
    titles to appear

The way you set it up in Photoshop would have no bearing on
    how you would do
    this on an HTML page.

  • Swap Image NOT mouseover

I am trying to swap images in Dreamweaver so when a user goes
to my website, the images swap automatically. I have 4 images that
I want to swap and I want them to change every 7 seconds. I don't
want the user to have to mouseover or click anything, i want the
images to change automatically. I can't get this to work right in
Dreamweaver. It always only swap to 1 image and it never goes back
    to the original image.
Also, the images are different sizes and I want them to stay
different sizes. I have 4 images, I want the images to swap every 7
seconds and then restore back to the original image. I want them to
keep swapping every 7 seconds, or I might just want them to swap
through the 4 images once and then restore to the original image
and not swap anymore after that. Can you help me with both of these
    scenarios please?

    1. Make the images to all be the same size by adding canvas
    to the shorter
    dimensions in your graphics editor.
    2. Once you have done this, use an image rotator script to
    make the images
rotate. You can find such things in many places on the web -
    from free to
commercial. I have used SlideShowMagic from PVII,
    http://www.projectseven.com/,
and the image rotation script from KaosWeaver,
    http://www.kaosweaver.com,
before and found them both to be excellent for
    this purpose....

  • Mouseover /Swap image

    Hi,

  • Image restore affects the wrong image

    Hi,
please help me out on this one... I've applied two behaviors to one image, 1st event is that when you hover over "Image A" "image A" should change to "Image A_over" and then restore on MouseOut. 2nd event is that when "Image A" (or "Image A_over") is clicked, "Image B" should change to a different image and stay.
If I set "Image Restore on MouseOut" on 1st event, it also affects 2nd event and restores that image too. How can I fix this?
Here's a link to the file in questions — scroll down to the hexagon graphic and hover over one of the blue letters (I had to remove the "image restore" all together until I could figure this out).
    http://gsconsultants.net/training/strong/modules/module2/module2.html
    Thanks!
    //Hanna in Tahoe

Select image1, and edit the image swap behavior.  Remove the check in the Auto Restore checkbox.  Click OK.
With image1 still selected, apply a second image swap that swaps image1 back to its original state using onmouseout as the event.
    That should do the trick.

  • Rollover Thumb & Swap Image

    Hello Fellow Knowledge Seekers,
I want to do a standard swap image rollover, but I want the
    thumbnail to change too.
    http://www.shutterstutter.com/Ancestor.htm
If you look at the link you'll see the rollovers, but the
    thumb is not altered...
How do I change the thumb at the same time???
I am perplexed because I was able to do this last year but
    have since forgotten...
I have been playing with behaviors with no luck...
    Thanks Alan...

    <a href="javascript:;"

  • Swap Image Behavior with Text

I am trying to figure something out but can't seem to find
it. I'm sure it must be pretty simple, but I'm stumped. Basically,
I have a main image and a few thumbnail images below it. I've
attached the Swap Image behavior to each thumb to change the main
image to a different photo and then changed the onMouseOver to
    onClick.
The problem is I want to also have some photo text or caption
below the main image to change. Does anyone know how to do this
with more or less stock DW behaviors? Or if not, how to do it in
    the most efficient way possible?
    Thanks in advance.
    -Bill

You could always embed the caption information in the image,
    you know? That
would be the simplest way. Is that possible?
Alternatively you could create a series of stacked
    containers, each hidden,
in the location where you want your captions. Then you would
    make your
onclick event do both the image swap and the Show/Hide on the
    associated
caption container (*and* a hide on all the rest of the
    caption containers).
This can be pretty tedious when there are lots of images, and
    you are using
only the DW User interface (as opposed to Code view). It will
    also take you
into the realm of positioned elements (probably) which can be
    troublesome
    themselves.
Finally, if this is all too much for you, there are EXCELLENT
    alternatives
over at projectseven ($) for doing something like this right
    out of the box.
