Swf previews in browser and doesn't work on server after upgrade from cs3 to cs5
I have upgraded from CS3 to CS5. My site uses a template created in dreamweaver 8. When I edit a page and embed a .swf file created in flash cs5, it doesn't work on my server, but works on my computer when I 'test in browser'. I have uploaded all the files in the 'scripts' directory. I am streaming video. I have tried using both actionscript 2.0 and 3.0 and streaming .flv and .f4v. None work.
I have a big site and do not wan't to redo my template unless I absolutely have to.

It's not 100% clear from your post, but you should be aware that CS5 plugins should not work in CS5.5. Because of a CS5.5 bug, CS5 plugins will load in InDesign 7.5.0, but that is fixed in 7.5.1 so they will not load.
You should lean a bit harder on Virginia Systems. They should be able to tell you how to get them the stack trace from the crash which they should be able to look at and tell you which plugin (if any) is responsible for the crash. I could do it for Mac OS X but I don't know how under Windows. You could start by looking at the Event Viewer, though. That may have some helpful information about the crashes and the faulting module.

After upgrading from Mavericks to OS X Yosemite 10.10 not a single CMD+ shortcut works?!
For example CMD+tab works (switching between apps), ctrl+tab works (switching between tabs), but none of these work: CMD+W, CMD+Q, CMD+F, CMD+C, CMD+X, CMD+P...
They all work perfectly fine in all other apps. It's just Safari.

I changed my Language pref to French ... so I got "French interface" with "French keyboard" ... and it worked once !!!!

Mavericks Mail not working properly with Exchange server after upgrade from Lion
Mail will no longer maintain a stable connection to my company's Exchange server after upgrading to Mavericks from Lion. Nothing has been changed on the Exchange server. It has only partially downloaded the messages that are on the server. It seems to download current messages when they hit the server. It has difficulty sending messages. When I send a message, it gets stuck in the Outbox. It is constantly losing the connection to the server. The problem is only occuring with Exchange email. My iCloud email works properly as well as a POP3 account.

Exchange server doesn't work at all after upgrade to 8.1.1
Hi there,
Upgraded to 8.1.1 yesterday and ever since getting mail from an Exchange server (not GMail as exchange, real exchange) doesn't work.
I have tried removing account and re-adding it again, it authenticates, all is dandy, but it never pulls the folders list or the mail at all.
Refreshing says "Updated just now", and then zilch, nothing, nada.
Can someone please help?

PS. I tried resetting, wifi/3g, push vs fetch, all the standard knobs and whistles - nothing helps.I just got my emails again, not sure what did the magic, but this is what I did:
- Downloaded my enterprise certificates (device provisioining) - Maybe you don't have to do this step.
- Reset the iPAD (press power button and menu button until you see apple logo -> this doesn't erase data on the iPAD)
- Deleted the exchange account
- Created the exchange account - at this time the iPAD could confirm credentials
After a couple of minutes emails started coming again!
Btw, I had this issue after upgrading to iOS 8.1.1. -
Upgrading from CS3 to CS5 and changing PC
I have CS3 Web premium running on Windows XP machine. I want to migrate to CS5 but also to migrate the desktop to Windows 7. Will I have to first re-install CS3 on the re-built machine and then upgrade to CS5 or is it just a case of deactivating CS3, installing CS5 and activating the new copy?
No, you don't have to install CS3 to use the CS5 upgrade. Have the disks and serial numbers handy.
If you're removing CS3 from another PC then deactivate it first.
Finally, if there's any chance you'll need CS3, then install it on the new Win 7 machine. It will run just fine.
I have CS3, CS4 and several CS5 apps all running quite nicely on Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit.

Itunes doesn't work at all after upgrade 7
when i got the pop-up to upgrade to 7 i clicked it. When it was done loading, i got a error that said i don't have quicktinme 7.1.3. So i went onto apple.com and went to quicktime and updated to quicktime 7.1.3. As soon as it was done i cliked onthe itunes desktop icon and it came up with the same error. i ahve tried many times to fix it by uninstalling everything and reinstalling it all over again and it still did not work. Is there any way to fix it or is it something with the compuer?

I would first try skipping down to Uninstall older versions QuickTime, the attempt to repair iTunes installation. This will be done through control panel>addremove programs.

I have upgraded my powermac g5 double processor from 10.4.11 to 10.5 now the computer works very bad. If I try to launch software update the application crash, final cut pro crash, when I try to mount a disk image the application crash, firefox is very slow and I can really navigate on the web.
somebody has some suggestion?

Workaround for browse which doesn't work upon login
I've seen this post here before that the browse feature doesn't work when you first launch the web player in Windows. I use the web player with Spotify Unlimited on a laptop running Windows 7. I seem to get a new release nearly every day, and this problem persisits. So what you can do is launch the application, log in, close the application, (you won't be able to log out and it won't matter anyway). Then wait a few minutes or you'll get the dialog box The spotify application is not responding. Then re-launch Spotify and the browse feature will work.

I do not have multiple versions of RoboHelp installed on my machine. The browse sequence worked with a new project, but it won't work with my established project (which has "exclude" conditional tags for some topics in several folders and some folders that are excluded all together). I do have more than one window definition, but the only one that is used is the "secondary" window. I attempted to enable browse sequence for both (main and secondary), but it still would not work. My primary layout is Microsoft HTML Help. The project is NOT in source control. I inherited the project, which had multiple tech writers building it since 2002. Also, since attempting to enable a browse sequence, the project opens very, very slowly. So I removed the browse sequence and performance increase somewhat, but it takes a long time to open. The project is not that large - 900 topics. Any additional thoughts . . .

The first thing you need to do is remove that software, if you know what it is, according to the developer's instructions. Never install it, or anything like it, again. Then see below.
If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data, then reinstall the OS. You don't need to erase the startup volume, and you won't need the backup unless something goes wrong. If the system was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you may need the Apple ID and password you used.
There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
If you installed the Java runtime distributed by Apple and still need it, you'll have to reinstall it. The same goes for Xcode. -

with JVM 1.5_10 or above it's possible to move from elements of IE browser page with tab and enter and exit from applet
with JVM 1.6 or using plugin 1.6 this is not more possible.
with plugin 1.6 and JVM 1.5 applet can gains focus but it doesn't release it
with JVM 1.6 applet doesn't gain focus and all keyevents are intercepted from browser.
to make my applet and page accessible I need to move focus between elements of browser page with tab,
and enter and exit from applet.
Just because my users can't use mouse but only keyboard.

now I want to build in miller's scheme LOV that could be

1. I create role 'select_test' to which I gave select privileges

3. try to select * from test.<table_name>; table doesn't exist.
