Switching iframe content and javascript problem in safari!

Hi, I'm having problems with this page we're doing...
http://www.intergraphicdesigns.com/clientes/bansbach_web/zonainteractiva/www/zon ainteractiva.php#tab3
It renders everything perfectly in Firefox, Chrome, IE9, or even IE6... but in Safari (both Mac and Windows versions) gives a js error that blocks the function that allows the site to switch the youtube video when I clic the diferent color symbols underneath... it gives this error:
-*ReferenceError: Can't find variable: cargarCanal* (even though that function works perfectly in other browsers).
The js code thats being problematic is the following:
function cargarCanal(class, codigo){
alert ("hola!!!");
$('#divIframe').html('<object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/'codigo'?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US&amp;rel=0"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/'codigo'?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US&amp;rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>');
$('.canales_links a').removeClass('canal_selected');
$('.'+class).addClass('canal_selected');
All I wanna do, is switch the content of the iframe with a different youtube video, It can't be that hard....
If anyone can help us it would be great!
THANKS!

Hi
I saw the errors earlier, but it seems to work ok now (here anyway) - what was the problem?

  • Weird Javascript problem on Safari and other web browsers

    Hello,
    this is actually pretty weird. For the past several weeks I have been dealing with a very strange problem which I believe relates to JavaScript. To be more specific I have an issue with two websites: Macuser.gr and Facebook.com.
    As far as Macuser.gr is concerned this is how it's supposed to look:
    http://f.cl.ly/items/0j1J123Y2D0t1C2U3b1f/Screen%20Shot%202013-02-06%20at%202.25 .04%20PM.jpg
    and this is how Safari renders it:
    http://f.cl.ly/items/3N0V3I1c0Q0a1r0K0e1C/Screen%20Shot%202013-02-06%20at%202.25 .40%20PM.jpg
    The problem is with the preview images as you can see.
    Now, in Facebook there's this annoying white line where it isn't supposed to be:
    http://f.cl.ly/items/0k0i2c0T0q1h3t2j2s3e/Screen%20Shot%202013-02-06%20at%202.25 .52%20PM.jpg
    I have tried and tested everything (Guest user, different browsers etc) and all it comes down to is JavaScript. Disabling Javascript seems to fix everything immediately. Enabling it again and this mess occurs. Also, this happens with the latest versions of Safari, Chrome and Firefox BUT not with Camino 2.1.2 although it has JavaScript enabled in it.
    This is really frustrating and it appeared out of the blue one day. I did not have this problem from day 1. Any ideas?

    Boot into Recovery by holding down the key combination command-R at the startup chime. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
    Note: You need an always-on Ethernet or Wi-Fi connection to the Internet to use Recovery. It won’t work with USB or PPPoE modems, or with proxy servers, or with networks that require a certificate for authentication.
    From the OS X Utilities screen, select Get Help Online. A clean copy of Safari will launch. No plugins, such as Flash, will be available. While in Recovery, you'll have no access to your saved bookmarks or passwords, so make a note of those before you begin, if they're needed for the test.
    Test. After testing, reboot as usual and post the results.

  • Win 8.1 64 bit and javascript problems.

    I have purchased some internet shop software and it works fine on Chrome and Firefox.
    On IE11 if I input a user name and password on pressing return it just clears out the username.
    Also if I click on add an item to the basket the basket screen opens but with nothing added and the price is £0.
    The website uses javascript.
    If I use the same website on my Windows 7 laptop and IE11 it works fine.
    It looks like a problem with my Windows 8.1 pro 64 bit and javascript.
    Does anyone have a solution ?

    Hi,
    How about using Compatiblity mode open the website? You can have a try.
    In addition, to ensure this is not generally problem, you can provide the market link to us and we will test it in our enviroment if it also had same problem.

  • Top sites and video problems with Safari 4.0 and Snow Leopard

    Since installing Snow Leopard, I've had problems with Safari 4.0. My Top Sites page doesn't load anymore, I get a blank white page. Also, video tutorials from Apple's own site will not display the video. I hear the audio portion but do not get video. When I load the same pages in Firefox, they run as they are supposed to. In Leopard, everything was fine. Any help resolving these issues would be appreciated.

    Nevermind. After restarting a couple of times, it worked itself out.

  • CPU hog, faults, and memory problems in safari - solutions? or opera?

    since recently (a week or two ago i think?) safari is showing the following behaviour:
    i start the computer. start safari. reopen all windows from last session. use it normally for a while (activity monitor shows safari using 2 to 5% cpu with spikes to 15 or 20%). after some time (an hour, several hours, a day) the computer gets hot: activity monitor shows safari using between 40 and 115% cpu, never less. inspecting the process reveals that safari is producing massive amounts of faults (as of now 32 million and rising at over 10'000 per second. it also shows the shared memory size or the virtual private memory (one of the two, it varies) peaking at 16 TB (yes, Terabytes; 16.777 to be more precise) for a second (the time between two refreshes of the inspector window). this last behaviour is intermittent but happens during this sort of event.
    if i quit and restart safari the problem immediately recurs, in contrast if i restart the computer i can use safari normally for a few hours before it recurs.
    i have seen posts here blaming this sort of behaviour on flash, but this doesn't seem to be an adequate explanation to me as i'm able to use safari for some time before the issue occurs, and definitely visit pages with flash during that time.
    another post recommended to empty cache, which didn't solve the issue.
    is there a solution for this? if there's no solution i'd be willing to switch browser, but safari is very much the one i prefer. i'd even go as far as to re-install my whole system if necessary, but would prefer a less radical solution which allows me to continue using safari.

    Hey, man, it's not just you, and it's not just your version. I have a similar configuration (albeit 2 GB RAM) and I have upgraded to the latest version of Safari.
    By doing a little troubleshooting I've determined that Flash actually is the problem. It seems to get the most CPU when watching FLV videos, such as those on youtube. My theory is that the algorithm that runs the decoding on the videos is very, very complex, as it allows high-quality video over a standard broadband (ours is 3 Gbps) connection.
    As such, this has the implication of being processor intensive as well as HDD intensive caching. My MBP reached 80 Celsius at one point, forcing me to quit most programs. After quitting my MBP cooled down to its usual 55 Celsius (still a bit warm I know, but it probably has more to do with the fact that it's on my lap now).
    I do not believe that Safari is at fault, nor do I believe that your Mac is at fault. Mine does not get hot even during extensive Photoshoping or Dreamweaving or even XCoding but YouTubing gets it very hot. Thus, if you've anyone to blame it's Adobe. (sorta... just for Flash)
    In terms of solutions however I am afraid I must leave you somewhat in the dark unless you want to quit watching Flash vid's. If you should write to anyone, write to Adobe because chances are good that some other users may be experiencing the same problems.
    Hope that this was helpful.
    P.S. Sucpicious confirmed. Firefox watching Flash vids also causes a lot of CPU percentage to be used and the cpu temperature to raise a good number of degrees. So... you're pretty much out of luck no matter what browser you use until Adobe fixes FLV problems. Sorry

  • Jsp and javascript problem

    I have a JSP page with a table of n rows. Each row has the option of having
              a dropdown list appear on that particular row. The user should have the
              ability to make a selection from the drop down list and have the page change
              to the correct page automatically or it can allow the user to change and
              have them click on a link that passes the value of the select box as a
              parameter to the proper page.
              The problem is that each row CAN NOT be in it's own form. The action for
              the current form is NOT the action I want the select box to use.
              I can't seem to figure out how to get the value of the select box in
              javascript passed as a parameter using a JSP variable.
              Example code:
              <form method="post" action="/index.jsp">
              <table>
              <tr>
              <td> Remove Row? </td>
              <td> View Options? </td>
              <td> Name </td>
              </tr>
              <tr>
              <td> <input type=checkbox name='<%=rowNumber %>' value='<%=
              someCheckboxValue %>'> </td>
              <td> <select name=selectOptions>
              <option value="option 1">option1</option>
              <option value="option 2">option2</option>
              <option value="option 3">option 3</option>
              </select>
                View Option
              </td>
              <td> <%= rowName %> </td>
              </tr>
              <tr>
              <td colspan="3"> <input type=button name='UpdateExampleForm'
              value='Submit'> </td>
              </tr>
              </table>
              </form>

    actually i am taking menus from database in file ourmenu.jsp

    in file ourmenu.jsp i have saved the menus in array so can anyone tell me how to refer them in my .js file.
    i have tried with foll. code::

  • Iframes, coldfusion, and javascript

    hello everyone,
    I am new with iframes. Currently I am creating an iframe
    within an existing form. The main form has couple of checboxes, and
    also the iframe has couple of checkboxes. I want to pass the values
    of iframe checkboxes to another page when a submit button is
    clicked. The submit button is present in the main page. Is there a
    way to do this. I was trying to use a hidden text box in the main
    page which will get populated with the iframe checkbox value, but
    this does not seem to be working.
    Can anyone suggest anyother way of doing? my current code is
    as follows
    <html>
    <script language="javascript" type="text/javascript">
    function checKer(inputID) // where inputID = checkbox
    var x = document.ScannedSearch.elements[inputID];

    var y =
    ifOb.document.forms["SelectCategories"].elements[inputID];
    if(y.checked == true)
    alert('Is checked and has a value of y = ' + y.value);

    alert('Is not checked');

  • Designer 7.x and Javascript problems.

    I noticed this strange behaviour:
    Creating a pdf using ACROBAT and adding this.importAnFDF("fil.fdf"); code to Advanced>Javascript>Document works without problems loading the created pdf with acrobat and filling with data.
    If i create the pdf with designer (7.1 or 7.0) and try the same code in docready, formready etc etc and all the other it gives me always the same error (i have tried esporting to all the versions availble, changing script behaviour to client/and or/server) setting the fields name to the variable into the fdf...nothing:
    TypeError: this.importAnFDF is not a function 1:XFA:form1[0]:docReady
    If i open in acrobat this pdf and try to add the same script using Advanced menu the JAVASCRIPT VOICES ARE ALL DISABLED EXCEPT FOR THE DEBUGGER.
    I believe this is a bug or a protection that is added creating documents with designer.
    Anyone may help please?

    So,
    I am in the same situation, I have a dropdownlist in which my customers will be able to add or delete one element. I used a lot AcroForm so I understand how big the issue is, what I thought was:
    1- Get all the dropdownlist elements (representation and value) and put then in an array excepting the one that I want to delete.
    2- Clear the list.
    3- Add all the items stored in the array.
    My problem: I don't know how to get all the values of a dropdownlist. I have been searching the way to get it but neither selectedItems nor listItems work.
    Kind Regards

  • Need urgent help.....facing a weird and new problem in safari

    guys, i have leopard installed on my macbook and my safari browser wont open orkut.com or any other service involving access through google account. But all these websites that is orkut and other ones can be opened in firefox which i have on my hdd. Whenever i try to open orkut or gmail in safari it says "you are not connected to internet" but simultaneously firefox is opening them and they are running good... I use a proxy server to access the net.. but i know its not a problem with the net.. it is the problem of the browser setting.. when i bought this macbook in canada it used to open orkut in safari.. dont know what happened to it here in india..
    plz help me.. i need your help guys.. i tried everything i could.

    Sorry to disappoint you, but it seems there is no solution yet. This is something thousands of people are experiencing with the Safari/Leopard combinations (as you can see on these and other boards), and it appears to be an Apple bug. I am having the same issue as you with certain web sites (i.e., can not load fully in Safari, but can in Firefox), but I can open orkut.com with Safari, for instance.

  • GetURL and Javascript problems

    ok... im stuck and it is not working... i need for a flash
    movie to call this javascript function that is in the same html doc
    as the flash movie:
    //----onClick="buttonClick('next')" ---//
    (that is what the current simple html button is calling.)
    i have to do this in flash 7 because of the customers
    requirements so the external event options in flash 8 arent
    possible.
    im guessing i need to use getURL?
    what i have is:
    on(release){
    getURL("javascript:buttonClick('next')" );
    its not working and im stumped / pushing the deadline.

    This one isn't very far off. I'm hoping that you have already
    figured it out by now, but for those who stumble upon this page,
    the javascript getURL("javascript:buttonClick('next')" ); is
    missing a semicolon should look like this to work.
    getURL("javascript:buttonClick('next');" );

  • Ajax/Javascript problems in Safari

    I recently discouvered that most rich text editors don't work in Safari, or have lots of bugs.
    For example: when you want to compose a new mail in gmail, you can't make your text bold, coloured, etc., while it works in Firefox.
    Is there any way to fix this?

    Welcome to Apple Discussions
    The "creative" e-mail approach has yet to come to Safari. In your case, its availability is entirely dependent on Yahoo or GMail. Yahoo says it expects to bring the service to Safari in 2007. In the meantime, other browsers such as Firefox represent the only alternative for using this feature.

  • Web-page java/javascript problems

    I am having trouble with my java installation. Some work related web pages do not operate as they should, so I started looking into my java version. I first downloaded the latest java updater from Apple "Java 2Platform Standard Edition (J2SE) 5.0 Release 4 (PPC)" from "http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/j2se50release4ppc.html". I installed that and restarted. If I open a terminal window and enter "java -version", I get the following:
    java version "1.5.0_06"
    Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_06-112)
    Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.5.0_06-64, mixed mode, sharing)
    So it looks like I have the latest version that Apple offers and the OS knows about it.
    But when I go to Java.com (http://www.java.com/en/download/help/testvm.xml) and try to test my java using Safari or Camino, I get the following:
    You are using an older version of Java
    Your Java configuration is:
    Vendor: Apple Computer, Inc.
    Version: 1.5.0_06
    Operating System: Mac OS X
    OS Version: 10.4.7
    Also, the animation on the page does not work. I do have java and javascript enabled in Safari and Camino. I also tried changing the order of java versions using the "Java Preferences.app" and it does not fix the problem with either order of "J2SE 5.0" or "J2SE 1.4.2" coming first.
    So, some questions:
    1. Is this the latest java for OSX?
    2. Is there some other configuration step I have missed?
    3. What is the best URL to try for testing web-page-java and javascripts?
    4. What should I try next to get java working correctly in Safari and Camino?
    Thanks
    Paul
      Mac OS X (10.4.7)

    Paul, I think you have the latest. You can also test your Java and JavaScript here. As far as the "You are using an older version of Java" comment, that has always said that whenever I tested Java on that page you linked no matter what version so I wouldn't put too much stock in that.
