SWT and Eclipse Plugin

im having trouble creating a plugin. i have created my code in JFC but unfortunately it wouldn't work in Eclipse plugin. it must be written in SWT..
after searching tons of website on SWT and Eclipse Plugin, i came across the plugin wizard of Eclipse..
i have created a sample SWT code and i was wondering how can i get it to work with an Eclipse plugin? i was editing the files under the src folder but to no avail, im still stuck..
please help me.. thanx a lot.

the wizards for generating eclipse plugins are quite useful if you use the right one. there's sample projects for more UI artifacts (editors, views etc). they'll do a lot of the legwork of setting up and configuring, say, a view, and give you a blank Composite to put your own work on
you can also use the AWT_SWT bridge if you really want to use AWT or Swing components on your plugins, but it's a pain in the @rse to be honest
also, you'd be far better off going to eclipse.org newsgroups for this sort of question. hardly anyone here uses SWT or writes plugins, that I know of

  • BPEL Installation Issues and Eclipse Plugin Issue

I'm trying to evaluate BPEL and encountered the following issues:
    (1) Installation of patch 4343748:
    MISSING_COMPONENT : oracle.j2ee, 10.1.2.0.0
This Oracle Home does not have components/versions required by the patch.
ERROR: OPatch failed during pre-reqs check.
OPatch returns with error code = 150
The other 2 patches installed fine.
Is there a required order for installing the patches. The information that I found is a bit spotty on that.
    (2) The Eclipse Plugin also doesn't work properly. The following stack trace is reported back, when trying to open a .bpel file:

I'm still hoping to find an answer on why the Eclipse BPEL Designer does not work for me. I can generate a BPEL project but the visual BPEL Editor will just not open up. Any clues on what I should be looking at would be very appreciated.

  • Kodo 3.1.4 and Eclipse plugin

I'm currently migrating from Kodo 2.5.3 to Kodo 3.1.4, and as I'm using
Eclipse have decided to give the Eclipse plugin a go. I've followed the
documentation (@15.6), and am now attempting the Eclipse Sample from the
documentation (@15.6.4). The documentation has seemed slightly incomplete,
but I assume that's just me using Eclipse 3.0 with the doumentation being
    written for WSAD 4.
However, when I clean the project or run the enhancer I get the following
    error:
<error>-The Enhancer failed. The message included was:
    {0}
         org.apache.commons.lang.exception.NestableRuntimeException: Animal
    <info>-Done.
This message doesn't seem to be giving me any info that would help me
track down the problem, so hopefully somebody has seen it beforehand in
these circumstances and can help me out?
    Cheers,
    Matt

Stephen, the stack trace is as below. Apparently the Animal class isn't
being found...? - How does the Kodo plugin look for / find it? - Eclipse
itself has no trouble compiling it. Do I need to somehow configure my
classpath separately for the Kodo plugin?

    Hi,
When running the Schematool from the Eclipse-plugin or from the ANT-task,

having any JDO metadata available for the class RelationOperator - which
is the type of the field 'operator' that gives the NPE.
    I'm using KODO-JDO 2.5.0RC2)

This seems to be a problem with ClassLoader interactions; it will be
fixed for the next 2.5 RC (or final release). Thanks for pointing it

  • [solved] Trouble installing android SDK and eclipse plugin

    Hi !
Owner of an HTC hero, I would like to develop some apps for it. However, I have problems to install the android eclipse plugin on my archs (a 32 and a 64 bits) while it is working fine on my roommate's ubuntu...
    I'm following these instructions : http://developer.android.com/sdk/eclipse-adt.html
At step 3, when I click OK in order to add the site, just nothing happens, the pop up stays displayed and I can still clic on the bottons, (but only "cancel" do something...) . I've tried to start eclipse from the console, but no output here
Why do you think this happens ?
I have also problem with the sdk tools :
when I try to view the available packages il get :
Failed to fetch URL https://dl-ssl.google.com/android/repos … sitory.xml, reason: HTTPS SSL error. You might want to force download through HTTP in the settings.

  • Netbeans and eclipse plugin issue for OracleWaveset_8_1_1_0

    Hi,
I am struggling with the correct plugin for OracleWaveset_8_1_1_0. I had sun idm 8.0 and now i have upgraded it to OracleWaveset_8_1_1_0. Since I am not able to run BPE Business procedd editor which comes default IDE with sun idm, so I downloaded Netbeans 7.1 (latest version) but i am not getting correct plugin for my installed idm. i have java 6 installed in my system. can anybody help to use IDE for OracleWaveset_8_1_1_0.
    I downloaded below files :
    com-sun-idm-ide_9.0.0.20110309_nb6.8.nbm
    com-sun-idm-ide_8.1.0.20080630.nbm
from http://java.net/projects/identitymanageride/downloads but while importing this plugin it is giving me error -
Some plugins require plugin Editor Library to be installed.
The plugin Editor Library is requested in version >= 1.20.1.4.2 (release version 1) but only 3.17.1.19.25 (of release version different from 1) was found. The following plugin is affected:       Identity Manager IDE
Its not allowing to install this plugin....
Looking forward for your help on this
    Regards,
    Jimmy

I've been successfully using com-sun-idm-ide_9.0.0.20110309_nb6.8.nbm with NetBeans 6.8 and Waveset 8.1.0.10 for some time now.
After upgrading to 8.1.1.6, I've noticed an intermittent behavior when uploading an object from Netbeans when the progress bar cycles continuously until it s killed. Looking at the Waveset log shows 1,000s of logins in a row during this time.
Anyone else see this behavior? There have been no updates to the java.net project in almost a year, and I can't find a newer .nbm bundled with 8.1.1.0-8.1.1.6.

  • Crystal Reports for Eclipse plugin and CR XI server

I have a software requirement in which I need to support both internal (CR Eclipse plugin using the report viewer, not sure what the real name of this is) along with external (CR XI server) reporting.  In other words, I should be able to display a report (.rpt) that exists on my local app server along with one that exists on the CR XI server.  My question is this:
So I have both sets of jar libraries (eclipse plugin and XI server) and I see that some of the them are overlapping (some of the jars have the same name).  For the ones that overlap, should I choose the ecilipse plugin or XI server ones...?
One example I found is that the eclipse plugin rasapp.jar contains the POJOResultSetHelper class whereas the rasapp.jar from the XI server does not.  In this case, I presume I should use the eclipse version, right?
    Thanks for your help!
    Louis

    Hello Louis,
-If you are using latest version of CR Eclipse plugin using the report viewer, then I would recommend going for JAR files of this eclipse plugin than that of CR XI Server.
-The only reason being Eclipse plugin will give you most updated JAR files.
-Before using JAR files from Eclipse plugin, I would suggest you to update your present JAR files to latest available JAR files.
This can be done through Eclipse using update option.
And once you update them, you can use those JARs.
    Thanks,
    Chinmay

  • OSB Eclipse Plugins - and Helios SR1?

I am currently trying to setup a development environmen for Oracle Service Bus 11g with Eclipse.
On the first run I have successfully installed WLS11gR1, OEPE (as shipped with WLS - Gallileo) and OSB 11gR1. That works fine.
Now I have tried to setup Helios by creating a link file to the OSB plugins. This works fine on the first look to,
p2 doesn't complain when picking up the OSB plugins. If I start eclipse also can see the OSB perspective, edit proxy services etc.
However, some functions (as e.g adding a wl instance in wtp) don't work any more and throw weired exceptions in metadata\.log.
Googling these exceptions have pointed me to another post [1] where people say that the current (11gR1) set of OSB plugins can not be used with helios, but only with galileo.
However, if this is true the advice given in another post [2] (installing a set of older plugins first, then upgrade) will not work. I would have loved to try that anyway,
but I can't find the old download any more.
However, could you please help me with these questions:
    1) Has somebody Eclipse 3.6.1 with OEPE and OSB plugins up and properly running? Or can you confirm the incompatibility?
    2) If so, do you know in which OSB plugins release Helios SR1 will be supported?
    Thanks and regards
    Karsten
    [1] Re: WLST not found?
    [2] OSB 11gR1 install doesn't recognize oepe-helios-all-in-one-11.1.1.6.1.20101

I just came across this same problem yesterday.
using Ubuntu 9.10 and Oracle Workshop bundle. I couldn't create a new project or anything else...
I'm just finishing downloading OSB for Windows and gonna try it from here.
I'm hoping it will work here!! otherwise I'm screwed! :s

  • FB4 Eclipse plugin referencing to trial key and not to valid license key

After uninstalling trial version, I installed Flash Builder 4 Standalone version with new serial key and that works fine, but after that I installed Flash Builder 4 Eclipse plugin and that didnt work. I checked the asm3.log file and it had message "SLCoreService: Query license: type = 1, duration = 60 days, remaining = expired.".
Why FB4 Eclipse plugin reference to trial key and not valid key?
Flash Builder 4 Standalone license key does not work for Flash Builder 4 Eclipse plugin? Do I need new license for FB4 Eclipse plugin?
Why it work for Flash Builder 4 Standalone version and not for Flash Builder 4 Eclipse plugin?

The same license key will work for both FB4 Standalone and FB4 Plug-in.
In order to get out of trial mode for FB4 Plug-in, launch the bundled copy of eclipse, and switch to the Flash perspective. This should trigger the Activation dialog, where you can enter your SN.

  • Is there any Eclipse Pulsar and JCDE Plugin for Java Card 2.2.1?

    Hi Friends..
I want to know is there any Eclipse Pulsar and JCDE Plugin that still supports for Java Card 2.2.1?
Actually, currently i use Eclipse Pulsar and JCDE Plugin but it support only for Java Card 2.2.2..
I tried to set the Java Card Preference into JCDK 2.2.1, but it couldn't be set because converter.jar isn't compatible..
    Please help me regarding this..
    Thanks in advance..

There is, but it's very limited.
    1. Put the Library on a disk formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
    2. Point both machines at it.
    3. That's it.
    But remember:
A strong warning: If you're trying to edit the Library (that is, make albums, move photos around, keyword, make books or slideshows etc.) or edit individual photos in it via Wireless be very careful. Dropouts are a common fact of wireless networking, and should one occur while the app is writing to the database then your Library will be damaged. Simply, I would not do this with my Libraries.
    Also
Only one user can open a library at a time.

  • Eclipse plugin and java

Can i make an eclipse plugin using java?

As Eclipse is written using Java, I'd say it's possible. You can find more information at the Eclipse site.

  • Using JMF when writing Eclipse plugin

    Hello,
I am writing an Eclipse plugin and using the JMF to send/recieve audio. My application freezes when it calls the following function:
    Player p = javax.media.Manager.createPlayer(ds);
I am using MacOSX as my dev machine, and my suspicions are that the createPlayer function uses some AWT componenets, which starts an AWT event loop. Since SWT is already running for the plugin, I get the freeze. The problem is described here:
    https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=67384
So, my question is whther it is possible to not use AWT components when using the JMF. For example, I dont need to display anything, just need to send/recieve audio, so not sure why AWT GUI components are tied to the Player in the first place. Currently, my only "hack" solution is to start another process from the plugin to do the Audio. Any thoughts on the matter?

I encountered a very similar error and I was able to resolve it by removing the following parameters from the javac task:
    fork="${param.fork}"
    memoryInitialSize="256m"
memoryMaximumSize="512m"My values were not the same as yours, before I removed them, the values were set to:
    fork="true"
    memoryInitialSize="256m"
memoryMaximumSize="256m" Not sure why this fixed my problem but it did. I was using Ant 1.7 and Java 1.6_07 hope this helps.

  • Can't install eclipse plugins

    Hey guys.
I've just installed arch since yesterday.  pacmanning & configuring xorg and a DE (xfce went pretty smooth), also installing a jre and eclipse went nice.
But now, i want to install many plugins for eclipse. (EMF, subclipse, phpeclipse,...)
So i add the urls, i select the ones i want, i accept the licences, i choose mirrors, the files download, i click "install all" when the warning prompts me that the plugins are unsigned.
But then it fails, no matter which plugin, the problem is always pretty similar:

    okay, it worked.. sort off..
i had to do those commands on /opt/eclipse, not just on /opt/eclipse/plugins, because some data had to be written in other subdirectories then just plugins.
But now my problem is: i'm in an x-session as user dieter, i start eclipse, so it runs as user dieter, i install plugins, i'm prompted if i want to restart ecliipse, i choose yes.
After that: eclipse prompts me for what my workspace should be, it suggests: /root/workspace?? And when checking out the "new software" thing, most of my url's for plugins are gone?? It's like eclipse is running as user root, instead of user dieter? (since it doesn't use my settings, but those of user root?)  Even when starting a new x-session and launching eclipse again, it keeps on behaving like this  :?
However it's not running as root, here's a piece of ps aux

so why does it behave so funny, and how do i fix it?

  • FlexPMD 1.2 and Eclipse Plug-In

Hi, I'm probably missing something simple here but Flex PMD (using the eclipse plugin) isn't working for me: Nothing gets populated in either the Flex PMD view or the CPD view but the views do open when I run Flex PMD.
    My configuration is:
    FlexPMD command line installation: C:\Software\FlexPmdAll\flex-pmd-command-line-1.2.jar
    FlexPMD custom ruleset: C:\Software\FlexPmdAll\pmd.xml
Java command line: java -Xms512m -Xmx512m
    FlexCPD command line installation: C:\Software\FlexPmdAll\flex-pmd-cpd-command-line-1.2.jar
There are no spaces in my workspace path, it is simply: C:\Views\ProjectNameHere\
Using these settings I get a pop-up error message saying: 'add markers job' has encountered a problem.
Expanding on this error gives me: An internal error occurred during: "add markers job". Index: 0, Size: 0
If I change the Java command line (a tip found on the web) to: java -Xms512m -Xmx512m -Djava.io.tmpdir=C:\Users\NameGoesHere\AppData\Local\Temp
    I get the same error.
If I remove the custom ruleset value no error message shows when I run Flex PMD but nothing happens either.
If you have any idea what's wrong let me know. The open source website is offline and I can't find any reference sites that don't link to it for an answer.
    Cheers,
    Tony

I wonder why it is looking for a pmd.xml file in a temp directory? Note that these errors are when FLexPMD is run withoit any Java arguments specified. When I run FlexPMD with the Java arguments specified I get a third error message the same as the one mentioned above (Class Not Found).
Also, if I include a custom ruleset, it still throws the FileNotFoundException and lists another temp folder in AppData\Local\Temp
