Sy-Batch Problem

Iam using a BDC for F-32 transaction and when I run in foregreound it runs good but when I run in back ground it gives out an error meesage ..The message number is NA-00344 saying that
No batch input for screen SAPDF05X 3100..
..Can anyone please tell me how to solve this problem

Hi Vicky
If you run your b.i in forground that error occurs, but the message is not an error message, but success message.
So it seems your BDC works fine in foreground.
Remember: if an error ccours in background, it'll occur in foreground too.
Now it's not easy to say why: several problem can give that error, you should check:
- if you have passed all data you need;
- if the data you pass are right
- if you're calling the right screen: perhaps you have to call that screen but you've done in your bdc.
Anyway I believe it's better to use a std tool (BAPI or b.i) to post a FI document

Batch problem with 'BAPI_PRODORDCONF_CREATE_TT'

Hi All!
We are using function 'BAPI_PRODORDCONF_CREATE_TT' but not fully sucessfully.
We call this function to make a completion confirmation with a goods movement.
Right now we are doing some test trying to get the same results that if we use COR6N.
We enter a proc order, then put a qty into yield, click Goods movement (the matr is batch managed) and then enter a batch (movement type 101 by default). Then save. Everything is ok and is I check in table MSEG there is an entry for the confirmation with the batch I used.
Now, when we try this with the bapi the qty is confirmed but in MSEG the batch that appears is different than the one we passed to the BAPI. This is how we are calling the funciton:

i_link_conf_goodsmov[] two cases:
1.if we place an entry such as
      i_link_conf_goodsmov-INDEX_CONFIRM = 1.
      i_link_conf_goodsmov-INDEX_GOODSMOV = 1.
    Then no entry appears in table MSEG, in COR3 delivered qty is not increase but in COR6N the already confirmed quantity IS increase
1.if we place no entry then
    Then an entry appears in table MSEG but the batch is not the one in i_goodsmovements, in COR3 delivered qty is increase and in COR6N the already confirmed quantity also increases
So our problem is that when we use i_link_conf_goodsmov to make the bapi use the batch we specify then it does not seem to work. success is returned from bapi in both cases.
I would really appreciate it anyone can shed some light in this. (points will be given of course!)

While we are passing batch through BAPI it is considering running batch not considering inputed batch.

Adobe Bridge to CS4 Batch Problem

I hope this is the correct forum for this post as I don't know if its a Bridge or CS4 problem.
If I carry out various adjustments in ACR from within bridge, then select a number of the adjusted files and run the CS4 Batch from within Bridge. (I.e. Tools|PhotoShop|Batch...) I'm given the option of the action to run and each file is loaded into CS4 and the action runs file.
The problem is that not all the adjustments made are transfered into CS4 - the most obvious one being any crops.
If I open the same files in CS4 - as in File|Open, then all the adjustments are present.
Have I got something set incorrectly or is this a bug?

I've been having similar loss of adjustments...and haven't got a solution. It seems to me the following happens:
If I launch Photoshop CS4 32bit, open Bridge, and start a batch process, the adjustment from the first opened RAW file is used for ALL files being processed.
If I launch Bridge before and start a batch process, Photoshop CS4 64bit is automatically launched and each image is properly processed using each file's settings. Acutally, I'm not 100% sure I ever have this problem with the 64bit Photoshop even when I launch it first.
At first I thought I was losing my mind...some settings are too subtle to see differences when I quickly glance through a bulk group of photos. But lately I have processed some photos as black and white...and you know something is wrong if ALL of your batch processed photos suddenly show up black and white.

Bridge CS4 batch problem

Hi,
I often work from Bridge and use the TOOLS>PHOTOSHOP>BATCH or TOOLS>PHOTOSHOP>LOAD FILES INTO PHOTOSHOP LAYERS
This works well except it has just stopped working for no apparent reason. When I try any of the commands under TOOLS>PHOTOSHOP, photoshop will launch or become active but then just sit there doing nothing.
This has thrown a HUGH spanner in my workflow and is driving me nuts.
I have tried deleting Bridge/photoshop prefs etc but nothing seems to help.
I'm guessing it has something to do with Bridge startup scripts or something.

Sorry, did not read your mail before sending the first answer...
Glad it works again. Remember that OSX is Unix based and does not like
strange caracters in folder and file names, and no slashes or dot's except
the dot before a three caracter file extension.

Bridge photoshop batch problem

Hi there,
After upgrading to Photoshop CS4 from CS3 (new install), I am having a problem with running Photoshop batch from bridge.
I have actions that work fine when run from Photoshop but fail when run from bridge.
I don't seem to be able to run any Photoshop actions from bridge without a failure.
The error messages include:
"JavaScript code was missing"
"The command 'Pixel Genius PhotoKit Capture Sharpener Expert' is not currently available"
As well as other seemingly random "the command .... is not currently available".
I am running Vista 64 bit.
If anyone has any ideas - I would appreciate them.

An update to this problem.
The problem appears to be with Bridge-Photoshop communication.
I select images in bridge, choose Tools->Photoshop->Batch. Photoshop opens and I select the Action to run and click OK. At this point, if Photoshop had no image already loaded then the Action fails because there is no image, ie. the selected images from Bridge are not opened in Photoshop. The error messages are consistent with having no image loaded to run the various action tasks on.
If Photoshop already had an image loaded, then it proceeds to run the Action, once for the number of images I first selected in Bridge, but on the image that was already loaded - not on the images selected in Bridge.
I have deinstalled and reinstalled Photoshop and all its updates with no change. Any ideas at all would be appreciated.
BTW Image Processor works ok when invoked from Bridge.

Automate, Batch problem with exporting files

Hello.
I have already used batch many times where i have for example changed image size and then exported it to another folder. So my actoin looked like:
- image size
- export
- close
Then i have set the batch source and destination folder and it all went smooth. All the work has been done automatically with no click needed.
Today im having problem however: When i do the above steps photoshop do all these actions to all the source files but saves them all as single file whic is being replaced over and over and over againw ith same name... I dont see any difference in what i have done now and what i have been doing all the time but this time it just do not want to modify and export the modifyied source files with their own names to the destination folded... Im stuck with 1 file in destination folder with source name of the first file in source folder (when i look in that folder during the batch process i see the thumbnail image changing)...
All i could do to finally finish my work was to delete "export" and "close" positions from the saved action so it started asking me about compression when each file has been modified... It works, finally i have all modified source files in destination folder, but it kept asking me about compression with each file... it can hardly be called automated process.
Anyone have any idea why it stopped working while it have been working before flawlessly?

When you record the export (save for web),
if you change the name in export dialog, then
file will be replaced over and over.
Do you get a message like this?

Batch problems

I am running into major problems as none of my previously working batch actions are working now.
I just got through working out a previous issue of getting the "unable to open a file due to a program error" which I tracked down to a corrupted font. In troubleshooting that I had Photoshop delete preferences on startup and now I am experiencing issues durring batch like the following:
Error: The command "Crop" is not currently available. (-25920)
If I run the action manually by clicking the play button on the actions palette it will run. If I run it in a batch I get the errors.
Any Idea how to fix this would be much appreciated!

Often action are not well crafted and wind up having dependencies they will work most of the time but will fail sometimes because a dependancy is not met. The error message "Error: The command "XXXX" is not currently available. " is a typical error message an action will fail with when some condition is not met. All it means is that the Photoshop command is not valid because a required condition does not currently exist. Have you notice that Photoshop often grays out commane in menus. They are grayed out because the condition requited for the command do not currently exists. For example menu "Image>Crop" will Gray out if there no current active document or there is a current document but no active selection. An action that makes some kind of selection then does an menu "Image>Crop" will fail with thet error message if the selection step faile to select any pixels. When an action fails with a command not available you need to look at the current condition of the document. The action will be stoped on that step like "Image>Crop" and you should be able to see the document. Most likely you will see no marching ants no selection therefore Image Crop is not currently valid...

REMITTANCE batch problems

we applied the latest financials family pack patch now users are having problems with processeing the Remittance batch .
It show an ORA-01403 no data found error.
Ans also the Process Status shows “Started Approval”, this is in column Y. It should read as Completed Approval.

Bridge cs2 batch problem - please help!!! desperate!!

I have a macos 10.4.11 G5 Mac and I'm running Creative Suite CS2 - I used to always be able to select images in bridge go to - Tools - Photoshop - Contact Sheet II - and the window would come up fine - the last couple of days when I try to do that it gives me the error message of "General Photoshop Error" - I really need for it to work for the project I'm doing - just limping along now.

yes, photoshop is open and I even closed it and tried it that way and still the same thing; it worked fine a couple of days ago - if I'm in photoshop I can do a contact sheet ii and select the open files and it works just fine - it is just so much convenient to do it in bridge where you can select the files you want (in case i have files open in Photoshop I don't want to batch). I hope this makes sense.
P.S. Photoshop seems to be getting really pokey - I even made a new preference file (but to no avail)

Compressor 2.0 cannot submit batch problem (incomplete or empty batch)

Trying to use compressor for the first time on my laptop. Having finally got compressor to open. I select the fcp sequence to compress select the settings i want and try to submit. Then i get the following message "cannot submit batch, empty or incomplete batch". The sequence shows up ok on the preview window and plays so i am assuming its imported ok?
any advice would be greatly appreciated. This is a 1 hour 45 minute dvd. Tried to use export quicktime mpeg2 from my old mac and using the laptop as a firewire drive, hours later the dvd burned pressed play but no sound!!!! so trying compressor on the laptop hence the request. Dont have the mpeg2 quicktime export on this laptop but do on my old imac with fcp 4 but using fcp5.0 to create project.I am still playing with it not quite up to speed as it has been months since i used any of these apps.

Hey Sean, i have seen this before and you will kick yourself when i tell you the answer (i know i did).
even though you import a sequence into Compressor's batch list, to set an actual parameter to encode, you have to physically click on the original file IN Compressor's batch window.
so you import file.mov into compressor
you CLICK on file.mov
THEN you select whatever parameter you want to use
if you want to add more than one setting, you CLICK on file.mov AGAIN and set your next setting
FINALLY you click on submit

Export for the Web and File Naming : Batch problem in Photoshop CC

Is it possible to use "File Naming" when you are using in a batch "Save for the Web" export ?
What I want to do:
I have images that I need to resize, crop and rename (change "filename.jpg" to "filename_850x490.jpg" and make an optimisation for the web
I want to create an action that I can use in a batch
What is working :
I can use my action (resize, crop, save) and use file renaming option if I use "save as" options
I can use my action (resize, crop, save for the web ...) but the file renaming option are not use at the export,
So I have to create two actions (one for resize, crop and rename and an other to compress images with "save for the web"
==> What's wrong with "File rename" and "save for the web"?

CS4- batch problems

Hello,
I was wondering how to get around the CS4 not including the batch action of creating contact sheets for printing multiple pictures at once. I can't upload it to my computer, I'm working on a computer I am not the admin of.
I remember reading something about being able to use Bridge to create the contact sheets but can't remember when or where that was.
Can any one give me instructions to create the sheets in Bridge?

It sounds like—for whatever reason—the application thinks your files are still on your CD.
Check the read/write pemissions on each file. Try moving them to a new folder and then purging the cache for the offending folder(s) through the Tools menu in Bridge.

Bridge Batch problem - desperate - please help!!

It gives me the same error for the photoshop processes in bridge (PDF, Batch etc...!
and also for the indesign - says it can't find the paths - I've already reset the bridge preferences!
and Dr. Brown's stuff also.
***If i'm in photoshop and go to file - automate - contact sheet II - it will work but the "selected images from bridge is greyed out!

For refreshing PS prefs hold down cmd + Option + Shift while restarting PS
and choose refresh preferences.
For plist, quit both applications and go to the user library preferences
folder and look for both PS and Bridge plist files.
I would advice to first of all try the PS prefs and then after checking each
time delete the plist file for Bridge and last PS.
Without knowing if you have the opportunity for it consider an upgrade to
CS4. Bridge CS4 is way better then the CS2 version and also PS has a large
number of improvements
Final, check if you have the latest updates for CS2 and Bridge. I don't know
the correct numbers anymore but Bridge should be at least 1.02, that was a
significant update.
MAC OS 10.4.11 running CS2 - could you please help me locate the plist files
I'm supposed to delete for both of them - and about refreshing the preferences
for photoshop. Thank you so much for your prompt response.

Syndicator Batch problems

Hi Folks,
I am trying out syndictor batch. It seems tobe working for the first few times but if I run it more than say 3-4 times... it starts giving an errror .. [301General Export error] and sometimes it says 35% done ...Syndication error.
Any thoughts on why this is happening. No changes in the batch file were done.

Can you tell the exact command that u are giving while using syndicator batch.
General export error comes because of many reasons,tats the reason i cannot tell why it is coming in your case.

Just go to MSC2n ie change batch ,here give the inpiut of your finished material number,Batch which you are going to delete ,for which plant .Then enter select BASIC DATA 1 in that you can see "Misellaneous tab next to that you can see two check box is there
Batch Deletion Flag (For client level)
Batch Deletion Flag for Plant ( Particular Plant)
Be sure if there is no stock with ref to particualr batch then only it can be possible.I hope it will be use ful for you .
