Sync the movies in Finder Movies and the movies in iTunes

I wish that the movies in my Finder folder "Movies" would somehow synchronize with the iTunes movies. I don't want to have to copy my movies from finder in to iTunes and vice versa in the interest of saving disk space. Besides this, i think it would just make a lot of sense especially if you used Front Row to view movies. I like to keep my movies categorized in folders under Finder>Movies. Or maybe if the way movies were displayed by artist under Front Row? Maybe i'm even suggesting that this whole part of Front Row be overhauled? Perhaps Apple could employ me to do the job? haha (only half joking, I would love to work for apple).
Any solutions for this?

The Movies Folder in the Finder will not sync with iTunes. That folder is just a storage folder. The biggest advantage to keeping your movies in iTunes is they will stream to Apple TV and you can sync them to IOS devices, like iPad, iPod and iPhone..

Thank you for your response, When I go to the Archives, it states I have none. In addition, previously when I'd tried to move items to the archive, they just disappeared
Currently my desktop is not connecting at all, Everytime I connect, it's states "We have now logged you out" and requests I login again.
I have of course rebooted,
Gone into taskmanager, killed all the relevant threads, tried again to login through the desktop, no luck, I'll have to uninstall it, make sure the threads are killed, then reboot it and then reinstall it, but I've not had the time to do that.
On another note, and just as a point of reference, myself, personally, I hate these "cloud" file repositories (not to be confused with adobe cloud services which I love) but the file repositories themselves imho, are a blackhole of resource usage when one doesn't/isn't using them,
Is there a way we can use it more of a "ftp" sort of thing, when I want to I can put files there? There is no way to "Download" the repository, no way to download the folders.. only individual files and then it takes I think three different steps before the download starts.. I find this very inhibiting. Just an fyi. for what it's worth.

Not updating the iOS should not effect your problem.
As long as all the apps are in the iTunes library, you will not lose app data by updating the iOS.

I want to free up disk space on my Mac and assumed that the icloud would be a good way to do this, but having 'moved' 70Gb of files to the iCloud drive (I've upgraded to 200Gb storage) my Mac is still nearly full and I've realised that it seems to just Sync files just like dropbox.

So, the big question is did the Apple guys confirm that this is how the new iCloud drive should be working? I'm guessing, from your response, that this is indeed the case. Are they going to fix this anytime soon? I thought that this was a new function of the iCloud drive in Yosemite.
I just want an online storage facility to back up my photo & music collections. I did look at Dropbox as they have a good deal going with their Dropbox Pro, however this is still just a sync service where the Master files reside on your local disk drive - although I have read that there may be a way to work around this. Still not ideal.

Paragon even has non-destriuctive conversion utility if you do want to change drive.
Hard to imagine using 3TB that isn't NTFS. Mac uses GPT for default partition type as well as HFS+

In the middle of my vacation and the sync of my photos stopped running, what happened? I have looked for online answers and cannot find anything.

For transfers to occur, you must be using wifi and the photo app must be shut down. It may also take some time for photos to sync across, and many users claim thier photos don't sync via photo stream. My impression is that photo stream is still beta, given the problems with it.

Downloads used to open after download. NOw they just end up in the download folder and I have to go to the folder to find it and open it. I did not change seettings, maybe an update changed it? I cannot find a way to change this in settings.

Opening files with Illustrator and photoshop doesn't work, i have to drag the files from finder in to the program. This problem appears after opening 4 a 5 files.

I'd recommend reposting in the Boot Camp forum, that is where the Boot Camp and Windows gurus hang out.

The only way to sync Notes is through a mail server. If you don't want to use iCloud, you'll have to use some other mail account, or run your own mail server under OS X Server. The latter is a job for advanced users only.

The desktop image is fine, taken from the exact same pool of jpg photos. However, as soon as the slide show screen saver comes on, the images are scrambled. What is it about the apple screen saver algorithm that scrambles the pics?

Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for device to restart (no data will be lost).

The only way to increase the size of the onscreen text in the Finder Menu Bar and in the Side bar in Finder Windows is to change the screen resolution in the OS X Preferences Pane under the Displays icon.

Having IMEI number cannot help you trace the iPhone.
If you have activated Find My iPhone and your iPhone is ON and have Internet access, you can locate it. Otherwise, report to the police, your carrier and change all passwords that were used i iPhone.
