Synched Item Prices are going to Negative Discount if differ from B1 Price

Hi Everyone,
I am currently manipulating prices on the Shopping Cart, so that they are not based on Price Lists.  The functionality inside of Web Tools is working great.  I am overriding the values at the appropriate places so it does not recalculate back, but whenever it synchs over to B1, it is incorrect.  For example, I have an item that is $33 inside of the Price List that the Business Partner is associated with, however I am selling it on the Web for $30.00.  It shows up in Web Tools as $30.00 and I get the OrderDetail Lines to show this value, when it synchs, it puts in the $33 and gives me the $3 as a discount.  In addition, there is no discount inside of Web Tools, however, if there is an item group discount applied in SAP, that value is in there, so if that item group got 5% it would show that and then again put the negative discount in the Order Total.  The synch guide says that it takes these values from Web Tools when synching, but this is not occurring.  Can anyone guide me in the right direction on this?  I don't want to write a custom synch to overwrite this information when it should be directly passed from Web Tools.  Please let me know as I have this case in a lot of situations.
This is using Web Tools 2007 PL 04.
Thank you!
Kristen

Hi Shane,
You nailed my problem exactly...  Pricing does not synch from Web Tools to B1 and that will not be changing.  (That is all I am talking about, this has nothing to do with B1 --> WT or hierarchies and expansions).
I have an item inside of B1 that will need to manually change its price and the same rule will apply for the Web, I need to be able to manually change its price, but because the synch does not take place between WT and B1 on the Price, I get the wrong value passed over and an Order Discount for the difference.  Now, the funny thing is that I have another item that I do the same thing with (it has variable price), but this item is marked only as a Sales Item and that item's price synchs over from WT --> B1.  I have no idea why that is happening correctly and others are not.
I believe that this is something that should be addressed.  This also ties into the Tax issue at the line item level as well.  If you can define prices and taxes inside of Web Tools those should absolutely be synched over to Business One and overwrite whatever values are in there.  I am not sure why that wouldn't change.  Does it make sense to let the prices of items and taxes to be overridden by B1 based on what is in B1 even though what is in B1 is not matching what is in Web Tools?  I am more confused on why we wouldn't be addressing this as a problem.  You can override prices manually inside of B1, so I would think you would want the same functionality inside of Web Tools.  Not to mention why would you want the order that comes over from WT to look differently inside of B1, which is what is happening and worse yet, why would you want all of the differences to come over in one lump field (Order Level Discounts).
Hopefully my intention is clear here...  What I believe is the ideal situation is that the order should come over exactly as it is put into WT, nothing should be overridden from B1, not prices, not taxes, nothing.  Otherwise, it is not the same order.  Taxes makes it even worse too because now B1 has complete wrong Sales Tax reports.  I would love to discuss this further as each of my clients has a problem with this.  Only the most simple cases (where everyone is Tax exempt, or they only use simple price lists) does it work out properly and it all stems from allowing B1 to override the order.  I will pass this along to see if there is something that we can do.
Thanks for the answer Shane and please let me know if what I am suggesting makes sense.
Thanks,
Kristen

The user profile my appleTV was synced on my computer to no longer works (corrupt).  My Apple TV is still synced to that profile and all of my recent purchases are going to that username.  Does anyone know how to get all of the purchased items back and to the new user (same computer)?  I created a new user on my computer and moved the itunes folder to the desktop but never changed the path to which the apple synced to.  Now I can only see old items I purchased before the user profile went bad.  PLease help!

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Changing the library the Apple TV is synced with will delete all synced content from the Apple TV, but it won't delete purchased content.
You should be able to change the library, resync any content you want and transfer your purchases back to the new library.

  • Negative discount being generated - Sales/Purchase Order quantity

    Hi All,
I have an add-on which creates a Child Order (AP and AR) from a Parent Order.  The Parent Order needs to be updated if a Child order created from it has a change of Quantity.
What I am finding is that twhen I update the Parent with the revised Quantity I am getting (seemingly at random) a negative discount created on the Parent Order line which has been updated.  the only change to the Order line is the Quantity and a UDF.
Has anyone got any idea why this might be happening?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello
If your B1 was upgraded from 2004 /2005 version, please check the Document Settings in Administration module about the "Calculate the Row Total using the Unit Price" option: Which Method you are using for Calculation of LineTotal?
If your B1 version is not upgraded, or You using UnitPrice for Row total calculation (this is the default for sap b1 2007) , you has to save the UnitPrice before you touch the qty.
So I am using the following workaround:
    1. Save Price/Unit price
    2. Save Discount
    3. Modify Qty
    4. Enter UnitPrice/Price
    5. Enter discount
See SAP Note: 1334050 and 1289493
The Row Total Calculcation and rounding method is changing your Discount to positive/negative values.
    Regards,
    J.

  • Negative Discounts

    Hello,
We are currently having a situation where AR invoices pick negative discounts for certain items under certain business partners. These items have been given discounts under the special prices. Has anyone ever expirienced something like this before ?
How do the special prices and discounts work in SAP 2005?

    Hi Martin
You can define date-dependent special prices for particular periods. If an item is sold within one of these periods, the date-dependent special price applies, ignoring the price in the price list.
           1.      Choose Inventory ® Price Lists ® Special Prices ® Special Prices for Business Partners.
The Special Prices for Business Partners window appears.
           2.      In the Special Prices for Business Partners window, make your general settings to define the special price of an item for a business partner.
           3.      Double-click a row to open the Special Prices u2013 Items u2013 Selection Criteria Window. Enter the required dates, price list, discount and price and choose Update.
If no date-dependent special price has been defined for an item, the system assumes that the customer-specific special price has been valid since the date on which it was added. The system enters the special price with the appropriate valid-from date in the first row.
           4.      To save the modified special prices, choose Update in the Special Prices for Business Partners window.
Defining Quantity-Based Special Prices for a Business Partner
           1.      Choose Inventory ® Price Lists ® Special Prices ® Special Prices for Business Partners.
The Special Prices for Business Partners window appears.
           2.      Double-click a row to open the Price List Item Details by Period Window.
           5.      Double-click a row to open the Special Prices Hierarchies window.
After you enter or change the price, the system automatically calculates the discount from the difference between quantity-based and the date-dependent special price.
           6.      To confirm your entries, choose Update in the Special Prices u2013 Hierarchies window and the Price List Item Details by Period window.
           7.      To save the modified special prices, choose Update in the Special Prices for Business Partners window.
    Discount
    1.      Choose Inventory ® Price Lists ® Special Prices ® Discount Groups.
    The Discount Groups window appears.
           2.      Enter the business partner code.
The name of the business partner appears. The standard search functions are available to help you find the business partner in the system
The discount groups are defined in accordance with the item groups, the item properties or the manufacturers.
The item groups defined in the system are displayed in the form of a list.
           3.      In the Discount % field, enter the required discount for each item group.
This example illustrates the effect of the discount group:
If a customer purchases an item for which no special price has been defined for this customer, but which belongs to an item group with a discount, the discount is granted and entered in the order.
           4.      To define new item groups in this window, choose New Group.
           5.      To reset the entries made, reset the discount to zero and choose Reset.
           6.      After you have made all your entries, choose Addto save the discount groups.

  • TS2776 I can synch items entered into MS calendars to my iPad... this is done automatically when I connect to the USB.  How do I synch items initially entered into my iPad to MS Calendars when the unit is connected to the USB port???

Cannot tell is the initial question was sent so here goes again.  I can synch items entered into MS Calendars with my iPad... this is done automatically when I connect the iPad to the USB port.  Can I synch items entered into the iPad calendar to the MS Calendar when the iPad is connected to the USB port??? if so how???

I have found an alternative and much quicker way to transfer photos to my ipad. Having exhausted the Apple route with its connection kit, I stumbled upon a YouTube video showing how you could use an external sd card reader / USB to transfer pictures. I did a quick search on eBay and found a device that would work with the ios7 update. Hey presto it works! (I purchased an sd card and a sd card adapter for my Canon 350d) plus the little sd card reader from eBay ( for quarter of the price ) of Apples connection kit ( which didn't work)
Come on Apple why can suppliers in the Market place produce accessories that work better than your own kit? You are missing an opportunity and frustrating customers no doubt. Could do better !

  • 'Moving average price for material is negative' calculation

    Hi Gurus,
I would like to ask for your assistance regarding Invoice having error of 'moving average price for material is negative'.
How is it being calculated that it goes to negative value? Can you also please give a scenario on why it became negative?
    We have the following scenario:
    MAP: 0.30
    Total Stock: 9
    Total Value: 2.74
PO raised and GR was done:
    Quantity: 240
    Value: 2.95
Would appreciate your assistance on issue.
    Thank you.
    Jih

    Hi,
Please check that price of that material is increased or decreased by using transction MR21. after GRN.
You posted a valuated goods receipt for a purchasing document for a material with moving average price control. When the invoice was posted (invoice item with price variance for goods receipt), the system generates error message M8783: 'Moving average price for material & & & is negative'.
Between the posting of the original goods receipt and the entry of the invoice, the system already posted additional valuation-relevant transactions/events (goods movements, invoices and so on, can be displayed with Transaction MR51).
The invoice verification tries (for stock coverage) to credit/subsequently debit the difference between the value of goods received and invoice item value for the stock. However, the material total value must not become negative by this stock posting.
    Solution
Before you post the invoice, you must first increase the stock value.
The amount by which the stock value must be increased at least can be calculated from the following values:
    1. Transaction MM03, accounting view material master, field 'Total value' (MBEW-SALK3)
    2. Invoice item value according to invoice
    3. In the invoice verification (Transaction MR01, MR1M, MIRO), change the invoice item amount to a value which is high enough and simulate the invoice to receive the value which would be posted for this item to the GR/IR account.
In the invoice verification, the value (3) minus (2) is posted to stock. It must be larger than (1).Post a subsequent debit with the amount (3) + (1) - (2) for the affected material/plant (Transaction MR22).
You can post the invoice afterwards.
    Regards.

  • Your Price and Retail Price are showing same value.

In my Catalog section display routing page "Your Price" and "Retail Price" are showing same value. How can I resolve this issue?

    Hi Ashish,
The CUSTOMER context for qualifiers is supported at the Item / Cart levels.  However, it is only supported in the Catalog when using Best Price.  If using minisite based pricing, "IBE: Use Price List Associated with Specialty Site" = Yes,  and/or customer account pricing, "IBE: Use Customer Account Price List" = Yes,
Then this qualifier is not referenced for the catalog pricing calls by the pricing engine.
As per the documentation link referenced above -
Pricing Qualifiers Supported by Oracle iStore
All of the pricing qualifiers that are supported by Oracle iStore are supported at the shopping cart level -- but in the catalog pages, a only subset these supported attributes are available to the pricing engine.
The following table shows the pricing attributes supported in the Customer Application. The table also shows the context for the attributes, whether they are supported in the catalog in addition to the shopping cart, and whether they are supported at item level (also known as line level) or cart level (also known as order or header level). Remember, all of the following are supported in the shopping cart; some are only supported in the catalog. Customer contexts are supported in a Best Price scenario only.
The discount will not be applied in the catalog with a CUSTOMER context qualifier on the modifier unless using Best Price for pricing.  This behavior is discussed in the (Doc ID 429657.1)
    Regards,
    Debbie

  • Reporting Issue   "Opening Balance values are going to Not Assigned Values"

    Hi Friends,
Closing Balance values are perfectly showing but opening balance values are going to Not Assingned Values? I am not able to find it out.
our query is built on PCA Daily Multiprovider.
    Pls Help.
    Thanks
    Asim

    Hi Ravish,
    Here are the details
Stock values and quantities in the PCA cube of BW never show correctly at an article level due to an opening balance issue.  This reduces our ability to report on stocks at moving average price, i.e. anything that actually matches the financial values in the system. The issue arises because stock at the beginning of the year (quantity and value) for any site is only shown against an article of "Not assigned."  Stock movements during the year are shown against the appropriate article.(If you have a new site, the will have stock assigned against an article up until 31 December and then the 31 December values are shown against "not assigned" for the next year).
    Thanks
    Asim

  • Moving average Price for Material is Negative

    HI Friends,
I am doing MIRO for PO where its giving me error while posting the Invoice that
Moving average price for material is negative
Can any please help me to resolve this.
what would be the implications if the price difference is too high b/w MAP in Invoice .
    Thnaks
    Purna Nalluri

It is ofcourse bcoz there is price difference in the between PO and IR....
so as per the calculations the MAP becomes negative....
The formula for it is :
Difference/Current stock holding + current moving average...
Pls check you price entered at PO and IR....
There are no any implecations...excepts the price differece is reflected in the MAP of MMR....
    hope it helps...

  • IPhone 5S/iTunes (Win7) sync issue: this computer is no longer authorized for purchased items that are on this iPhone

I am trying to synch my iPhone 5S and iTunes for the first time since upgrading.  I get the following error message: The iPhone ... could not be synced because this computer is no longer authorized for purchased items that are on this iPhone.  To be clear, all I want to do is take the media on my Windows 7 PC and put on my iPhone.  When I authorize my PC, I receive a message that the PC is authorized (making 2 of 5 authorized computers).
All of the iTunes purchases were purchased under the same Apple ID, I've never had another Apple ID.  Some of the PC media is Amazon mp3 purchases, but this has never been a problem in the past.  I have the latest iTunes installed.
I tried to fix the problem doing the following:
    1.  Authorizing my computer, retrying to sync.
    2.  Logging into iTunes on my PC, then authorizing the PC, then syncing.
    3.  Not an Administrator account issue (my login is the Admin account)
    4.  I turned off user account controls in Win7
    5.  I removed the SC Info folder in iTunes
Very frustrating, I've been working on this issue for the past several days.  After purchasing a 5S, with a high end PC/Win7, and the latest version of iTunes, I shouldn't have to make such an effort to access my purchased content.  Please help.

I found the solution in another post.  By deleting all my apps, I was able to sync the phone.  I hope I don't have to delete all my apps every time I want to sync my phone, but at least now I am able to sync my phone.

  • The iphone could be synced because computer is no longer authorized for purchased items  that are on this iphone

the iphone could be synced because computer is no longer authorized for purchased items  that are on this iphone how to slove this

I first called apple and they patched me to a technician who ran a test and determined that I had a virus. He gave me some price quotes and who to call. After my conversation with him, which I knew was BS btw, I immediatley called Geek Squad with whom my computer has a warranty through after they installed virus software on my new laptop (4 months old). I had a VERY long online session where they ran several virus test and found nothing. Although I was VERY happy that my computer didn't have a virus, I still had the problem of my itunes not working. After several hours, he made sure that all of my apps were down loaded, and then restored my iphone to factory settings, and sync my device. It worked perfectly and all and I mean ALL 240 apps were downloaded back onto my iphone along with my music and all of my tones. When asked why my itunes was acting in that manner the answer that I got was,"...apparently you had a correct file some where in itunes and everything had to be reset". Regardless, everything is back to normal and I don't have to get a new phone or delete itunes from my computer. Hope this helps!
