  • Lotus Notes doesn't synchronised with Nokia 6233

    Hello!
    There are my details:
    Nokia 6233
    Windows XP sp2
    PC suite 6.83.14.1
    Connection method: Bluetooth
    Aplication Lotus notes 6.5
Connection is established, calendar items are successfully synchonised, but not contact items. I think that problem is in Synchronisation settings (Tab Lotus Notes 6.x there are Group Contacts and two fields below "Server" and "Filename" ), the value of "filename" field i put "mail\mstetjuh.nsf", where "mstetjuh" is my account namme. Synhronisation report writes that all successfully finished.
Help me where I am wrong, please.

Sorry, I didn't reed corectly. I put as you sad and all is gone. Big thanx

  • Problem with Nokia 6131

    Hello.
I have a problem with packet data connection. The problem is when I try to start the WAP browser. Most of the time it works correctly but sometimes I get "Packet data connection not available". And to (temporarily) fix this I have to turn off the phone and then on again. After I do this, WAP works again.
Any ideas on what might be the problem?
    Thank you very much
    Alex

No problem, I have never come across a problem like that, hope that you come right with it eventually.
Seems so odd though that it would continue to ignore the APN. Are the settings on your handset preset ones or have you put them in manually.
Maybe try re-programming all your settings in manually and then activating them and see if it makes a difference.

  • No valid certificate with nokia 6131

I've being trying to download and install operamini on my 6131, but each time I click on download, 'no valid certificate' appears on my screen.I've tried changing the date several times but it doesn't work. Pls, I need a professional thinker to help me.

Just check the mobile phone date, surely it will need to be corrected. The certificates supported by an appication are picked up from the systems memory and they are valid from a fixed date. Thus you need to correct your phone' date. For other details go to techgetseasy.blogspot.com

  • Nokia 6131 video not in sync with sound

After a year of working just fine, my Nokia 6131 video picture is not in sync with the sound when I play it back on the phone or when I download it to my pc to view.
At first the problem was only when I played it back on the phone, but was fine on the pc. Now it's distorted on both.
The video picture seems to be on fast forward but the sound runs smoothly. My video's are always less than five mins long.
Please can anyone help me to resolve this frustrating problem?

hey KatieGirl, i too had the same problem with my old nokia 6288. have you tried turning off your phone and restarting it, this usually helps in alleviating choppy video playback. if this is still resulting in **bleep** playback on your phone and pc, then i would suggest searching for a software update via Nokia Software Updater, if there is no update, then i would suggest re-flashing your phone with the same version firmware again. p.s. remember to backup all your data before flashing your phone with firmware.
failing all this, then i would suggest taking your phone to your nearest Nokia Care Centre or authorised service repair centre, as there may be a fault with your phone hardware itself.
    hope this helps.

Nokia 6131, Windows XP SP2 all updates, PC Suite 6.82.22.0, Bluetooth
I need help on syncing groups with PC Suite. When browsing contacts with Phone Browser, I can edit/view contacts, but no info about the groups I've defined on my phone.
I've also tried syncing contacts with Lotus Notes but no groups were exported.
This is a very important feature for my job.
    Thanks ,
    Silvio

if you are using the ovi.com, i would suggest you get your contacts squared away and sync them elsewhere, that is going to be deleted soon, if not already.
i had issues syncing my data with nokia services for the longest time. it was good, then they "fixed" the nokia suite and it wasnt....then there was ovi suite and that botched them all too.
i used to sync directly to my outlook with the 9500, and then through my other devices until ovi suite when i grew tired of the challenges with the contacts.
eventually, i ended up signing up with office365 to get an exchange account for $5/mo.
i think that the devs for the software products only use thier nokia exchange accounts when testing, which goes around the issues that we have had.
i would create either a google account and sync there, or if you want to also sync directly to an outlook, create a live/hotmail/outlook.com email address and then download the hotmail connector application for your pc, and then it will sync your wireless devices and outlook like a free exchange server and sync contacts/calendar/email.
if you go that route, you can get the hotmail connector here: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/microsoft-office-outlook-hotmail-connector-overview-HA0102...

  • ISync in sync with a Nokia 6131?

  • Synchronising a Nokia 6230i with iSync

Hi! Just tried desperately to synchronise my Nokia 6230i with my Mac. Unfortunately, Nokias PC-Suite is only for PC`s and ISync seems not to operate my phone. Who knows help?

This is a Nokia Series 40 mobile phone. The series indicates the operating system on a Nokia. A Nokia Series 60, 80 or 90 is based on Symbian OS. Nokia Series 30 and 40 are based on Nokia's own operating system.
Apple iSync 1.5 and 2.1.1 supports Symbian OS based mobile phones but no Nokia Series 40 phones. Search for the various topics about the Nokia 6230 and have a look at MacMedia PhoneDirector.

  • N95 8GB synchronisation with Outlook 2007

Cannot get N95 to synchronise with Outlook 2007 Calendar. Do I need new software download? Is it available?

no u donot require any additional software. This can be done using PC Suite with no additional software.
Go to PC Suite, start Synchronize. In Synchronize (Nokia PC Sync), goto Settings. In Settings, under the General tab, click on Advanced. Under "Automatic Synchronization", select either synchronize everytime I connect my mobile or Sychronize periodically and select 15min/30min/hourly. Check the checkbox "Launch Nokia PC Sync automatically on Startup"
Click OK and voila...auto syncing of calendar and contacts with Outlook.

Do you get an error in either iSync or on the phone? If so, what is the exact message? If not, what steps are you taking to create the problem, and where are they deviating from your expected result? Did the phone pair OK? In other words, on the 9300 under Tools -> Control panel -> Connections -> Bluetooth, can you see the Mac under the "Paired devices" tab?
Are you trying to use a Bluetooth headset at the same time? I have to turn my Motorola headset off to pair with the Mac to sync or modem.
I have a basic Nokia 9300 (Asia-based GSM) here in the US with T-Mobile and have it working with iSync through a German company's plugin, and also got it working as a GPRS/EDGE modem.

You can use the phone with your australian number provided international roaming is enabled. You will be charged more ( for messaging & talking )than that in Australia since you will be using someone's else's network.

  • Request recommendations for a smartphone that has easy synchronisation with outlook - contacts, calender & notes.

Im in the market for a new phone since my HTC Touch HD is rather an ancient 6+years old. My main goal in a smartphone is being able to integrate with my microsoft outlook info - calender and notes inparticular. However frankly in reading reviews &
researching current smart phones, I get the impression I am not going improve my current experience on a 6 year old phone by upgrading! Im not convinced that its really going to be an upgrade afterall!!
I don't want to have all my info going via a cloud either. For this reason I thought a windows phone would be preferable.
Is there a smartphone system where I can synchronise with microsoft outlook (including notes) locally? (ie:not having to be online with my info going via a third party platform in the cloud?
How can something that works so well on a 2008 phone be so difficult to find in 2014?
What current models of phones (even from the last 1-2 years- I can buy second hand if needed) do you recommend?

First let you know that we are the technical support and not the mobile sellers, the following suggestion is only for your reference:)
"I don't want to have all my info going via a cloud either. For this reason I thought a windows phone would be preferable. "
    - That's a good choice, but to be honest, the mail system for all of smartphone system, including WindowsPhone, Android, iOS, is similar in Consumer level. For user, we just purchase the good performance (depend on hardware) and pretty look device.
"Is there a smartphone system where I can synchronise with microsoft outlook (including notes) locally?"
It depends on your current using email account type and the protocal that mobile app supports. As far as I know, all smartphone system only supports ActiveSync and notes aren't supported by ActiveSync so far. Message, Calendar, Contacts and task is ok.
"How can something that works so well on a 2008 phone be so difficult to find in 2014?"
Simple word is faster and more function.
"What current models of phones (even from the last 1-2 years- I can buy second hand if needed) do you recommend?"
For this quesion, you can focus on the official website like Windows mobile, iPhone, etc... here I would prefer to Nokia Lumia series

  • A boring 'does it sync' question for Nokia 6131

Thinking about a new phone, and want isyncability
Any experience with how well the Nokia 6131 works??
I know its not on the 'offical' list and I believe there is a plug in available, but wondered if it actually worked out of the box

Yes, there is a free patch here: http://www.mactomster.de/isync/
It's completely in German but all you need to do is download the patch and drag the plug in into the alias labeled in red on the .dmg. Then restart iSync and add your Nokia (having already paired the phone using Bluetooth Setup Assistant, of course). It works great for me.
