Synchronize Counter card with CAN interface card.

How can I synchronize Counter/Timer board (6602) with CAN interface board (PXI-8464/2) using RTSI bus or PXI star bus?

There are example programs that install with the driver. You can take a CAN RTSI example and combine it with a DAQ RTSI example. If you are using LabVIEW, go to Help>>Examples. If you are using CVI, go to C:\Program Files\National Instruments\MeasurementStudio\CVI\samples\nican. If you are using C or VB, go to C:\Program Files\National Instruments\NI-CAN.
Also see the user manual that gets installed with NI-CAN into C:\Program Files\National Instruments\NI-CAN\Documentation

  • My Satellite A100 does not support SDHC cards with the internal card reader

    Hi,
My satelite A100 does not support my sandisk 4 GB SDHC card.
"normal" SD cards are not a problem with the internal card reader, and there are no problems with the sandisk 4 GB SDHC card using a external card reader.
    is there a software solution?
    regrads,
    Itock

I do not have time to read users manuals for your notebook model but all supported cards can be listed there. I suppose SDHC is not listed and not supported.
I do not know what you mean with software solution but, as far as I know, update for multimedia card reader is not available.

  • MBP won't read SD card, but will read CF card with the same card reader

As the title says, I have a card reader that works great with a CF card, but the MBP won't recognize an SD card. This is a new problem for me. I also have an express card adapter for SD that won't read the card, either. I have tried 4 different SD cards, and these exact cards have worked for me in the recent past (within the past 2 months). They work fine in the camera. I also tried connecting the camera via usb, which was unsuccessful. I tried blowing air on the cards and the reader. I cannot get the cards to be read on my wife's macbook. This makes no sense to me, as it worked fine the last time I tried. I find it hard to believe that all cards are corrupt, or the cable is the problem because it reads the CF card.
    Any help is greatly appreciated!

check if the SD Card is a SDHC card and if the card reader can read that. I know I have a friend who had this issue and in the end had to buy a new card.
Camera to MBP issue could be resolved by changing a setting on your camera. On my Nikon D300 I need to set the camera to MASS STORAGE in order for MBP to detect it like a drive.

  • Programming multiple smart cards with multiple smart card readers in a PC causes a PCSCException in a smart card that is in progress

    Hi,
I develop a Java code using smartcardio API to program a smart card. My GUI allows to add at most 5 smart card readers that will wait for card present, then do authentication and program the smart card with an application, then wait for card removal. This is a separate thread running in a loop for each smart card reader added as programmer.
The problem occurs when a certain smart card is in progress and I inserted another smart card to another smart card reader.  Both smart card reader halts and throw sun.security.smartcardio.PCSCException: Unknown error 0x8010002f.
I also observed that every time there is an attempt to insert/remove a smart card in the smart card reader that is connected to the USB port would cause the programming in progress to be interrupted and throw the PCSCException.
These are some exceptions I got during my testing:
    sun.security.smartcardio.PCSCException: Unknown error 0x8010002f
      at sun.security.smartcardio.PCSC.SCardTransmit(Native Method)
      at sun.security.smartcardio.ChannelImpl.doTransmit(ChannelImpl.java:171)
java.lang.Exception: Loader Record Failed: 6E | 0 //Sometimes I got this return code SW1 0x6E SW2 0x00 which means an APDU with an invalid 'CLA' bytes was received. I had check the command before it was sent and it was correct.
Help me understand this issue. I think the CardTerminal.isCardPresent(), CardTerminal.waitForCardPresent(0), and CardTerminal.waitForCardAbsent(0) cause this issue that CardChannel.transmit(apduCommand) is interrupted or the smart card insertion/removal causes the CardChannel.transmit(apduCommand) is interrupted.

    Hi,
when you work with one smartcard reader only usually you address the slot -1 that means "the first found".
But to deal with multiple readers you have to use slots of course since one reader will be slot 0, next reader will be slot 1 and so on...
So a credential object will be identified on a system by a couple
    <slot,alias>
After that, the way to address slots (I mean the syntax) depends on the classes you are using...
    Bye

  • Which is better, many PXI cards or fewer PXI cards with more SCXI cards?

I have a pretty basic question.  Which is "better", using multiple PXI cards for analog inputs or a single PXI card and multiple SCXI cards?  For example, if I have say 100 channels to sample (all at the same rate), I could use 2 6225s at 80 ch each.  Or I could use 1 6220 and 4 SCXI 1100s (32 ch each).  What are the pros and cons with either approach?  Keep in mind sample rate probably isn't an issue (less than 1 kHz) but it is the same for all channels.
    Thanks.

The pros/cons will depend on your application now and in the future.  I recommend contacting your local NI sales representative.  Synchronizing across a PXI system is easy to do via the backplane.  There are PXI/SCXI combo chassis available, you could use PXI multifunction DAQ cards and then SCC for signal conditioning for thermocouples for additional functionality later.  There are many possibilities that may be best discussed with your sales representative.

  • Dual uplinks with single 5400 and single 6509 (with multiple interface cards)

I have a single 5400 with two gige ports and a single 6509 with dual gige line cards.
What would be the best method for running them with dual connections in case an interface or line card goes bad?
    Thanks in advance.

Thank you for the reply Joseph. I swear I've ran SLA on 6500's before. This box is running IOS 12.2 so maybe that's the culprit.
I found a simple way to configure both devices redundantly using administrative distanced routes pointing through a specified interface. On the 6509, the routes point to a loopback address on the 5400, on the 5400 it's configured as default routes. Like this document explains:
    http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/ip/border-gateway-protocol-bgp/27082-ip-static-routes.html
Seems to work like a champ.

  • Need help with Cisco Interface Cards???/

Hi, I purchased 4 WIC-1AM cards for my cisco 1760 gateway to use with cisco call manager server. I'm trying to figure out if I can even use these cards for voice cards to make calls inbound and outbound. I'm seing that the cards that CM gives me are all VIC cards listed and i don't see any WIC cards listed in the endpoint list on the CM for the gatway. So can I even use these cards for what I'm trying to do??? Please help???
    Thanks

If i got the vontage sip account how would i hook it up to my CM Sever?

  • Java Card with USB interface

    Hi,
I'm trying to use a Java Card for a project I'm doing at the university. But one of our requirements is to use a one with a USB interface +(ie: without the need for a separate smart card reader).+
Have anyone come across such a device that is with a USB interface. If so please provide me with links.
    Thanks in advance.

  • How to sync a simulate card with a real card

    Hi all:
I have only one  6124 on hand and installed in a 1073 chassis.
But my project finally need two 6124 for data acquisition. I am developing software for it, so I just want to test the performance of sync two cards, but the problem occurs every time I try to start the two tasks.
I just download the sample from http://www.ni.com/white-paper/3615/en  and tried Figure 6 example on my PC, same error occurs. It is said I can't use a simulated device to work together with a real device, or can any one provide me some solution to it.
    Thx in advance.
    The error message occured is:
No registered trigger lines could be found between the devices in the route.
If you have a PXI chassis, identify the chassis correctly in MAX, and make sure it has been configured properly. If you are using PCI devices, make sure they are connected with a RTSI cable and that the RTSI cable is registered in MAX. Otherwise, make sure there is an available trigger line on the trigger bus shared between the devices
Source Device: PXI1Slot2  (a real 6124 device, run in master task)
Destination Device: PXI1Slot3 (a simulated device, run in slave task)

Why do you find it impossible to Copy and Paste?
Copy and paste is the method but you can make it easier on you by first group all objects. Arrange > Group
There are several ways to copy and paste
    1. the "normal" one
    2. Cmd + D to duplicate
    3. Alt/Opt + drag
When you have two card select both and do the copy and paste again and you have 4 cards. Repeat this and you have 8 cards. Add two more cards and you are done.

  • Synchronize RDBMS source view with ODI Interface

    Hello ODI expert(s),
I'm new to ODI & hence experimenting.
I'm trying to load metadata from a SQL Server view to Oracle's Hyperion Planning.
    My question is w.r.t source.
I've 6 columns in my source view. All 6 were mapped to the appropriate target fields. Suppose a column is removed from Source view. Is there any option in ODI to synchronize i.e. exclude the (now)unwanted column(& hence mapping) from the ODI Interface, I initially created?
    Awaiting one of your responses.
    - Natesh

I can relate to your issue.
ODI does this to me all the time.
The Operator logs show all greens and show no error, but no data makes its way to the Target.
I usually remove one mapping at a time and re-run the Interface. That helps me pin-point what might be the issue. Very frustrating.

Thank you for replying. I had no idea I had a response. It is a Windows 7 Home Premium. The game is actually now a few different ones for my child, Baby Luv, Brave & Disney Princesses. None of them will work. I have an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3150 graphics card in this (Compaq Presario All-In-One Desktop PC) and I just posted another question in the forum about wanting to know if I can replace the grahics card with a HD card and if so how? I have looked online but can't find an answer. Is it possible to replace the card or with it being an all-in-one is it not possible? Thank you.

  • Synchronization NI PXIe 5122 with NI PXIe 6356

  • Synchronized sampling from PCI-mounted card and PXI-mounted card

    Hi, everyone
My latest problem concerns sampling. I need to acquire samples from around 20 different (differential) channels and my PCI-card (NI-6224) has only 16 differential inputs. I do, however, have another card (NI-6229) mounted in our PXI-system. This PXI-system seems to be connected to the computer with a network cable. When i try to perform synchronized sampling from these cards with the PCI-card as master I get an error message saying that these cards cannot cooperate. There must be a way to do this...?
I'm using DAQmx and labview 8
    Einar

    Hello!
It is just a matter of taste I guess but I think PXI chassis and synchronization is more convenient since you don’t have to care about physical wires or a RTSI cable.
Data will be stored at your host since it is the Windows application and LabVIEW with its DAQmx Read functions that actually transfer the data from the buffer created by DAQmx to LabVIEWs memory space in RAM.
