Can someone explain to me an easy way to synchronize my Macbook with my Android phone (Samsung Galaxy S3) and tablet (Samsung)?

Have you gone through a J2ME tutorial?

  • Do MG 3120 and MG 6220 work with Android phones for wireless printing?

Hi People, I just joined this forum and hopefully some of you can tell me if the MG 6220 or MG3120 printers work with Android phones to wireless print from the phone.  I looked at the specs from the Cannon website on both machines and could not find anything to answer my question.  Maybe I missed it but I figured the Cannon users can point me in right direction.  I love my Cannon camera and I am seriously looking at the MG series of printers for home to replace my HP printer that has lost its mojo.
    Thanks ya all!

    Hello KensingtonCat.
We have an Android app for printing photos.  The Easy PhotoPrint app is available from the Android Market or Google Play and will allow you to print photos from most Android devices with the MG3120 and MG6220.
More information can be found at the following link:

  • How do i sync calendar with android phone?

how do i sync calendar with android phone?

Through your Androids Gmail account. Go into system preferences, Mail, Contacts & Calendars, and add your Gmail account info and then link it to your calendar.
You can do the same with a MS Office365 account if that is what you are using for your main email and calendar. And you can link to that on your Android phone also.
If you are using iCloud email I'm pretty sure you can do the same on the phone.
Oh but everything must go through an Online account of one type or another for it to all sync up across all your devices.

  • Mac AddressBook And Calendar with Android Phones

I know this is blasphemy on an Apple website but I dont currently have an iphone.  In fact, Ive been using an old feature phone but recently won a free Samsung Exhibit II 4G Tmobile phone that I can use on prepaid - and honestly save a lot of money in the next year or so on monthly rates until I perhaps choose to get the next generation of iphone.
Here's my question if any of you folks know about Samsung or Android.   I want to know if there's a way to sync my Mac Address Book and especially my Calendar to the phone.  Ive read that since Android is Google, its best to have your contacts in Gmail or use a Google calendar and then youre alright - and maybe thats what I need to start doing and just abandon the Mac stuff Ive just gotten used to (Ive only been an Apple/Mac customer for a few months)
Since this is Tmobile, Im hoping most of my contacts will transfer ok with my SIM Card (So the contacts issue can be postponed I guess until 2012 if/when I get an iphone) but what about the Mac Calendar?  Does anyone here have Android or Samsung phones and can sync their phone and Mac calendars?  Some people have told me their special programs you can buy (which I really dont want to bother with but dont know if that works) ...I just dont want to get into situations where Im having to manually put things into 2 calendars - a phone calendar and a Mac calendar - and Im fearing thats what Im going to have to do.  Maybe thats worth it to save the $20-50 or more each month on a plan...but with all the technology advancements (you can tell Im not a techie nor an early adopter) Id think there'd be an easier way...but maybe theyre just competing operating systems and programs so they are just not compatible and they dont want to be compatible cuz Apple wants you to buy and use all Apple products and so does Google.
So can anyone give me a simple answer?  (Ive also emailed Samsung but I have a feeling thats not gonna get me much of an answer and calling Apple is probably gonna  yield a response of call the manufacturer of your phone - thats what the Apple store employee told me anyway)
    Thanks

I guess Im still confused.  I just turned on the Android phone for the first time and the first thing it asks you is for a Google Account so I input one.  But I have 2 Google/Gmail accounts so Im not sure how it works because it seems everything on the Android is connected to 1 account.  Im sure Ill be able to set up 2 Gmail email accounts and just change the passwords to swtich back and forth but I guess the phone needs 1 default account.  It wont automatically load everything with 2 Google Accounts.
Still trying to figure out the best way to sync the calendar; Ive been given several options - Im just leery of downloading 3rd party apps - and not sure if theyll just sync the appointments or if its possible to also sync the different color calendars I have in ical
I know the easiest answer is just stop using ical and use Google...Its just I have other apps that I like using on my mac that are tied into my ical..and I do like having the different color calendars (ie work vs personal).  I noticed that when I exported my ical calendars to Google, they did end up loading onto my phone (they just didnt load the different calendars).  I just want it to be where if Im out and about and add an appointment on my phone (Google Calendar) that it can sync up with my Mac when I get home - ideally wirelessly thru my Airport Extreme but if not even if I have to use a USB.  The problem really is Im not a tech expert, and as you can tell by just getting a smartphone, Im not an early adopter either...and Ive only had the Mac for 4 months and honestly have had more problems with it than with the 10 year old pc it replaced...its all just a lot for me to digest.

  • Approve purchases- family share with android phone

Our kids have iPods and we have iPads as well.  Our mobile phones are Android based.  I set upfamily sharebut would like to have the ability to approve or decline purchase requests using my android phone.  I know that there isiCloud for Windows but haven't seen anything for Android.  Does anyone know of a way to approve or deny purchases using an Android phone?  Thanks for any help!

According to this site (http://www.bgr.com/2010/11/06/verizon-wireless-testing-sprint-like-70-450-minute-unlimited-plan/), Verizon is coming out with a Family Share Plan with unlimited data & text and 1400 minutes of shared talk time for $139.99 a month.
This is $10 a month higher then Sprint and has 100 fewer shared minutes. It also includes GPS Navigation, Sprint TV and Radio, and NASCAR Sprint Cup Mobile which isn't available with Version. I think Verzon has a navigation and video service but they charge for it.

  • Those of you with android phones and network extenders

according to verizion tech support, there is a known issue with ALL android phones (it's an android os issue they say) that causes the phone to not display the signal strength properly when you're on a network extender.
I have had mine for several months, called in several times about issues and was never informed of this until recently.

I have the same problem, in fact I even have a 1mm gap between the rim and the top case, above the DVD slot. The rim is flexible and my right hand pushes it inevitably down when writing. The top case makes a slight noise when resting my hand on it, as it warps down and hits the DVD player. I've shown it to a genius but he said that's "normal" and if at all it is an cosmetic issue only and isn't covered. I told the technician to at least tighten things up when replacing my keyboard to fix my missing letter problem (didn't help the letters btw), which he confirmed, but there was no difference afterwards which indicates that the parts just don't fit properly, even with tightened screws. It annoys me a little but there are still other issues which are more irritating. I love the OS but I'm deeply disappointed by the hardware. Looks sexy but there are serious quality issues which puts my MBP behind many PC brands. Looks and coolness aren't everything.

  • Accessing PVC300 with Android phone

Hello everyone. I am trying to recommend the PVC300 for a camera solution at my company. One thing my manager needs is to be able to view the cameras with his Android HTC Incredible phone. What I am wondering is if remote access through a PC or with his phone will require a special port to be opened through our firewall? Thank you for any information on this.

    Hi Nowell,
Thank you for posting. By default you would forward port 80 to access the camera from your phone. You can also change the http port in the camera if you are using port 80 for another device or if you have multiple cameras. I use an app called IP Cam Viewer on my Android phone to access WVC210 and PVC2300 cameras. I don't know if the PVC300 is supported with that app but the developer is always adding new cameras. He is responsive to email requests. The short answer is that you will need to forward a port.

  • Can i tether macbook to android phone?

I have a Sony android phone and MacBook Pro (late 2009). I've found a few programs (see below) that will allow me to tether computer and phone, but none of the software developers are recognized by Apple. I'd prefer to use Apple recognized software to take a different approach.
I only need the tether for a week of vacation, so would prefer not to pay for it.
    Suggestions?

Does the phone support wifi hotspot? If it does, all you need to do is turn that on.

  • Add contact with Android phone difficult, N900 muc...

Hi guys, I was so frustrated from waiting for a replacement for N900, I went & bought an Android phone the Motorola Milestone 3 Droid 3, but was greatly disappointed with it's contact features, it's much worse than N900.
I still love my old N900 so didn't trade it in, once I found out the N950 wasn't going to be accessible.

    Hi Ahmet,
you need a Framework like Phonegap to access the device contacts database. Just have a look at this documentation. Supported platforms of this example are Android, iOS and BlackBerry WebWorks. SAPUI5 is not a framework for accessing functionality of mobile devices (like camera, notifications etc.)
Besides, there are some blog posts in this forum, which explains the handling of SAPUI5 and Phonegap e.g.: Building awesome mobile apps with SAPUI5 and PhoneGap.

  • Controlling MacBook with cell phone

    Hi!
I just bought a Sony Ericsson K610i (and a MacBook a few months back) and I was wondering if I can use the phone to control iTunes, DVD player, QuickTime and so on, maybe even Frontrow. Is that possible?
    Thanks!

I found that one to, but it costs money and it doesn't really work either. Not that well anyway... I found one called Bluetooth Remote Control and the K610i is supposed to work there, but it doesn't. I tried to sync my phone with the computer using iSync, but it says that my phone isn't supported. Maybe that's the problem? Is there some kind of plugin? It says on the web that the K610i IS supported.
    Thanks again
