Synchronize problem with Timecode

We timecode synced 3 sony ex3 cameras at a recent groundbreaking. After importing the mxf files into premiere cs 5.5 and put them on the timeline (separate video tracks for each camera angle) and I can't get the "synchronize timecode" button to be enabled (it stays grayed out) from the synchronize contextual menu.
I can put the timecode effect on each of the clips and the timecode is in sync for each camera. I can put markers and sync that way but I did a timecode sync on the camera to skip a step.
Here's another kicker. I know the timecode is correct because I put the clips into Final Cut Pro 6.0.6 and the clips line up without a hitch. I love FCP but it's on my personal computer at home and not the PC workstation at the studio.
Hopefully someone else has encountered this and it's not just a PEBKAC error.

I'm having the same problem. Although I have tried shorter files that should not have been spanned...
A couple of interesting facts:
The "Project>Clip>Modify>Interpret Footage" window has the "Timeline" option greyed out on MXF files (no matter how small).
I can see the proper timeline by adding the timecode "Effect."
I can automatically sync the MXF file with another file type (I used an AVI captured with OnLocation for this test)... but two MXF files will not auto sync with each other.
I have seen in other forums that this is not a new problem. Does anyone have an answer yet?

Assuming you are referring to Outlook 2013 by "outlook 365 proplus". This is actually because Outlook 2013’s IMAP implementation has changed when compared to previous versions of Outlook.
While configuring the IMAP account, Outlook will talk to the IMAP server for the correct folders first. If Outlook 2013 can’t find the correct folder for the Sent Items in your mail server, it will create a folder which doesn’t sync with the mail server.
To sync the Sent Items folder with IMAP server, we can try to root the mailbox:
Go to FILE->Account Settings->Account Settings…
Double click on your IMAP account.
Click More Options… button, then Advanced tab
Type "Inbox" as the "Root folder path"

I used "niUSRP EX Rx Multiple Synchronized Inputs.vi "( offred by NI) to synchronize 2 USRP in reception (the master connected to laptop via Ethernet and the slave connected to the master via MIMO cable).
I set: master--> RefIn and PpsIn     slave-->Mimo and Mimo.
Problem: Inspite I used identical cables that connect the both devices to the transmitter; the signal received by the master and the signal received by the slave ar'nt synchronized in time because the time lag (delay) is not constant!!!.
Where is the problem?!!

I used:
transmitter--> Rohde & Shwartz SM300 signal generator.
Receivers--> 2 x USRP N200 (connected with MIMO cable) master--> RefIn and PpsIn     slave-->Mimo and Mimo.
3 identical cables to transmit the signal, connected via Power Splitter/Combiner (Mini-Circuits).
Cable 10MHz connects the master device with the transmitter.
FreqTx=700MHz (sin)           CarrierFreqRx=701MHz --------> so the received signals are a sin of 1MHz (701-700=1MHz).
I have no probleme with phase synchronisation (because both the slave and the master received a sin of 1MHz).
My problem is the time synchronization:
How can I verify if i did the time synchronization?
I must have 2 superposed sin [(ch0 I with ch1 I) (ch0 Q with ch1Q)] ?
I must do Timed commands? if yes! How to do it?
I try to run the example of constellation, then i have message: Find VI Named".........Vi"    I have this problem all the time when I run some examples . I have probleme with setup LabView?!

Synchronization Problems with BlackBerry Desktop Manager 4.5v and Windows Mail Client

BlackBerry (RIM) Desktop Manager 4.5v synchronization setup does not work properly. I cannot synchronize my desktop calendar because the only desktop application formats available are (<None>, Ascii Import/Export and Yahoo), Windows Mail is not an option!
I contacted BlackBerry and the only response I received was that I need the Outlook Express program to synchronize my desktop calendar.
Microsoft upgraded from the Outlook program to Windows mail to provide a better program, which I happen to like! The idea of purchasing the Outlook Express software when there is nothing wrong with my current mail program does not make any sense to me! And will BlackBerry support any Vista system issues if there are any compatibility problems with the old Microsoft mail client?
Has anyone contacted BlackBerry about this issue? Any ideas how to fix this problem?
Why can’t Blackberry (RIM) resolve the synchronization issue? In addition to this problem, you may find that the Desktop Manager Device Switch Wizard does not function with the Treo 650 and BlackBerry 8830 and the Advanced feature in Backup and Restore does not seem to save the any files that you want to restore.

You can only synchronize contacts with Windows Mail - you can not synchronize calendar, memos, or tasks. Outlook express does not have these items, and the version of Windows Mail that I am running also does not have them. Windows Calendar is seperate from windows mail on my version of Vista.
So to clarify it all, downgrading to Outlook Express will still not get you calendar synchronization as it does not have a calendar.

Synchronize problem with Dreamweaver CS4

Hi all,
I was wondering whether any of you can offer any advice or help with a problem I have with Dreamweaver CS4.
The problem is regarding the Synchronize feature within Dreamweaver, for example after I have made a change to a web page and want to upload this to the internet, the software detects what files have changed which is fine but against the file it has the word and symbol called "Resolve" and this is where I am stuck because I cannot click on the Resolve button to change it to "Put" because the icon is grey so therfore I am unable to upload any changes to any websites.
If anybody can help me then it would be very much appreciated.

BlackBerry actually provides zero front line support to end users, including warranty...all support starts with the carriers, authorized resellers, and authorized service centers, all who can escalate cases into BlackBerry at no charge to the end user. So your service/support path would start by checking your original purchase documentation and finding out what it tells you regarding how it works in your region -- it can vary by region as well as by specific issue. From what you describe, your's sounds like a device-level issue, which would therefore be either an authorized service center or your original place of purchase.

Contacts synchronization problem with 9860

Good evening
I would like your help regarding a problem i face with my 9860. I have downloaded the desktop software from the official website and tried to synchronize contacts, pictures & music with mu pc.....
When trying contacts, it seems to start synchronizing but the procedure is freezing for ages somewhere in the middle (122/224 records)....i do never get an error message and the only solution is to cancel which also takes ages..I have tried to unistall / reinstall the desktop software but the problem still exists.
Any ideas?

If ur facing such issue wth contacts sync, and the priority is to have a backup of ur contacts, then i wud suggest u to download apps that takes a backup of ur contacts and other things n keeps them to ur memory card...
Later, if u even reinstall ur OS n loose the contacts n other things, u just have to install that particular app(cz reinstallation deletes all the Apps that u have installed) from which u have taken the backup n just restore them from ur memory card through that App...
Some such Apps are "Contacts to Excel", "Data Backup" etc...There are lots n lots of such apps in the BB app world...choose then one which will best suit ur need...

Contact synchronization problem with Mercedes Audio 50 APS

It seems to be impossible to import iPhone contacts from Mercedes Audio 50 APS system embedded on my C Classe (W or S204 / july 2009) car.
The problem persists with upgraded iPhone from iOS 3.1.3 to iOS 4.1 on iPhone 3G.
My Mercedes agent test with another iPhone's models: 3GS & 4 => the same problem occurs !
After a long search on MB web site (http://www.mercedes-benz-mobile.com/fr/fr/s204/0/bt.compare.php), I fund the official answer: contact synchronization not supported !!!! Simply inconceivable on behalf of a "premium" car brand !!!!
Hereafter a screen copy of the (french version) MB web site...

What a shame. It works just fine in my Kia.

File Synchronization problem with TimeStamp

Win2k, LabVIEW 7.0
I'm trying to do file synchronization between the data files I produced on the local disk, and a remote server.
I am doing a LIST FILES on the local folder, and a LIST FILES on the remote folder.
For each file, I do a GET FILE INFO, and look at the LAST MOD data (a TIMESTAMP value).
For each file in the SOURCE folder, I match it up with the corresponding entry in the DESTINATION folder.
I then compare the times, and if the SOURCE timestamp is greater than the DEST timestamp, then I delete the DEST file, and COPY the source file to the DEST.
There are a few files that fail this process, though, and I am puzzled as to why.
If I look (via Windows explorer) at the properties of one of these files, it says the LAST MOD date is 6:09:20. That is the case for BOTH the local copy and the remote copy.
However, the SYNCH logic above insists on copying this file every time it runs. When I add logging stuff to the synch process, it tells me that the local file has a date of 6:09:21, and the remote file has a date of 6:09:20, so it wants to copy it.
But after the copy, things are exactly the same - Windows shows the times identical, but LabVIEW shows them ONE second apart, and copies them AGAIN the next time it runs. This is true for about 6 files out of a folder of 50-60. I suppose I could allow for that one second, if I knew why it was there.
What's biting me here? If the file really had a MOD DATE resolution of 1 mSec say, then I could understand that maybe the PROPERTIES window truncates the value, and the TIMESTAMP does not. But even then, it ought to copy ONCE and set them the same...
The "Server" I am testing on is running OSX, 10.4.6, if that matters.
What am I missing?

That's not the case. If you read the real thread (I'm not sure how this got posted here, though I know I'm responsible), you'll see that I found cases where it rounded(?) the time from an even number to an odd number of seconds.

Problems with Timecode in FCP

Hi there, It's 2 am and Im stuck at my edit suite trying to recapture some footage which was shot in HDV 1080i60i, I've captured all the tapes in DV NTSC and am now trying to Online the footage in UNCOMPRESSED 10 bit but apparently some of the footage I captured previously somehow is non drop frame, even from the same tape, it is crazy and a nightmare because I have already finished editing my sequences without having noticed this problem and now that I want to re capture FCP tells me that I am trying to capture drop frame footage to a non drop frame clip. I continued with the capture and my whole sequence has been messed up, things are not as they used to be, the clips have slipped frames and it doesn't look the same. What can I do Please help!!!!! Im going crazy.

I'm betting your show is around 60 minutes long? 3.5 seconds is about the difference between non-drop time code (which 23.98 is) and real time (drop frame), which I believe QT player displays.

Outlook 2013 synchronization PROBLEMS with iPhone/ # : ******

Hi,Since I received my iPad in Dec 2011 and now my iPhone 4S as a birthday during March 2014, I have been trying to sync easilly my over 1000 contacts and Calendar in my PC'sApple Store in Rive Geneva promissed it would work. After two months of doing and undoing and running around and reading about everything possible, IT STILL DOESN'T WORK! Apple iPhone <-> iPad <-> iCloud Sinchronize together but not with the PC in a normal user friendly way. Even the CodeTwo Sync for iCloud doesn't work properly. It sync's the "Calendrier Personnel" with the Calendrier from iCloud but the new Meetings are not synchronized with the iCloud without deleting everything and setting up everything again merging everything again. You do this twice and you find yourself with 2000 contacts and "rendez-vous" instead of the original. According to the Apple Support Communities, which I have joined for the first time now, this is a problem, but it is not recognized as such by Apple.
WHEN WILL A REAL SOLUTION BE FOUND. Your support team and I have spen much to much time to find a work around but to no avail. Read below:

Problems with Timecode Reader?

I can seem to get The Timecode Reader Filter to see that my sequence starts at hour 2 and not hour 1. I can't seem to change the numbers either. Anyone know a trick for this?

that because the reader "reads" the clip timecode rather than sequence timecode.
you want the timecode generator filter and apply the correct hour offset in the filter settings.

Problem with starting Timecode in the Timecode effect

I have a problem with the timecode effect in my sequence. The strating time of the sequence ist 09:59:50:00, I copy/pasted it into "Starting Timecode" in the Timecode effect controls panel and chose "Generate" from the Timecode Source options, but the numbers shown on the display were different as the starting timecode I set. So I had to change the starting timecode in the effect controls panel to 09:59:14:01 and now it shows the right timecode on the display. how is it possible? any ideas where this difference could come from? the frame rate is set correctly. is this a bug in the PPro CC 7.1? I had to downgrade from 7.2.1, because of many problems it was causing.

Can someone help. I have synchronization problem with my contact in the Outlook for Mac using blackberry desktop software for mac. Seems all details in my blackberry handheld contact got synchronized, but not email addresses (so all names, jobs, companies, work phone, mobile - all got synchronized, but not email addresses). All data is in my handheld. I wish I could just "replace" (not merge/sync) outlook contact with all contact in the handheld but seems there is no option to do that. Let me know please if someone has similar experience and has found out solution. Thanks!

Has anyone not working with .dv files had synchronization problems?

Has anyone not working with .dv files had sound synchronization problems? I'm not exactly sure what the alternatives to DV are, but I think one of them is HD.
The reason for asking this question is to help isolate the nature and cause of a very serious flaw in iMovie '11. In the original release of iMovie '11 (version 9.0) there was a small--but serious--synchronization problem. In the 9.01 there is a large synchronization problem. We know of one person who has not experienced the problem, and he is not working with DV files (media). So we want to find out if anyone who is using something other than .dv files is experiencing a lack of synchronization between sound and picture. Knowing the answer to this will help with figuring out where the cause lies. For the initial iMovie '11 release (9.0), you probably would not notice a problem unless you had very long event-clips, e.g., two hours long. Events get this long if you are transferring from analog 8 mm tapes. Even then, it would have to be in scenes in which the connection between event and sound is obvious, e.g., close ups of people talking. It isn't until the 9.01 release that most people would notice anything. All we need to do is establish one case of a synchronization problem in which the person is using something other than DV.
