Synchronize recursive tree with edit form

Hi,
I am trying to synchronize recursive tree with form, i have followed this post exactly Oracle ADF Developer: ADF - Synchronizing form with recursive tree
the first level of the tree works but the inner levels does not.
I am using JDEV 11.1.2.3

ALV Tree with editable checkbox

Hi all,
I have a ALV Tree with editable checkbox (for all the parent & leaf nodes) , as one of the column.On clicking of a button in toolbar , i should get the nodes which are checked in checkbox.
But the problem is i am not able to get the nodes which are checked through checkbox in the PAI of the screen,when the button is clicked.
I tried using
CALL METHOD wf_tree->get_checked_items
                       IMPORTING
                       et_checked_items = lint_selected_node.
but the return table is not containing any entries , even if check boxes are checked in ALV tree.I tried the GET_CHECKED_ITEMS method in event handler method of AFTER_USER_COMMAND and also CHECKBOX_CHANGE , but no success.

Hi All,
I am trying to achieve a adf recursive tree with recursive table but relationships are stored in separate table like
Table A:

I did lots of reading from forum and various posts but couldn't make it work.

I think that you can get this done by defining a VO that fetches all the top level nodes and have a view link to a VO that has all the details with a self recursive viewlink
Query for the top level
Select A.id, A.name
from A
Where A.id not in (select disctinct toid from B)
Query for the detail level
Select A.id, A.name, B.from, B.to
from A,b
where a.id = b.toid;
ViewLink is going to be:
detail.from=master.id
and another viewlink for the recursive relationship
detail.from=detail.to

What is the best method of making revisions to a PDF document with editable form fields?

I created several documents/forms in Microsoft Word in order to use tables for formatting, then turned them into PDFs using Acrobat X Pro. The auto form field recognition feature in Acrobat doesn't always recognize every field in the document, so I had to manually create some of them and alter their properties for correct font size, scroll long text, etc. I now need to revise / add more information to the documents. The only thing I know to do is to make these revisions to the original Word document, save as PDF, and redo all editable form fields again. Is there an easier way to edit these documents while keeping the current editable fields and their properties? Thanks.

I need to substitute the default font (times roman) in my editable form fields with a san serif...

I am making a PDF with editable form fields out of InDesign CS6. When I make the interactive PDF, the font, Helvetica Neue is being substituted with the default font, Times Roman. The client has provided me with last years PDF which has a nice San Serif for the editable fields. I need to change the font either to Helvetica Neue, or at least to a nice San Serif common system font. I have Acrobat X.

I called a friend of mine who walked me through this so I will post the instructions for anyone else who may be having this problem...
1. Open the PDF with the form fields in a recent version of Acrobat.
2. Click on the Toolls tab.
3. Under Forms, click Edit.
4. Now you will see your fields listed under "Field" > "Sort by"... "Text Field 1"... etc.
5. Holding "control" click where it says "Text Field 1" and some options will pop up.
6. Click on "Properties".
7. A "Text Fields Properties" window will pop up.
8. Click on the "Appearance" tab.
9. Here you can change your fonts and font sizes.

How-to synchronize edit forms for a single View Object tree node entrie

I created a tree from a single View Object,

then i want to create and synchronize edit forms for tree node entries,

but it not working when i click child node!!
i found the latter tree from many View Object ,but the former tree from single View Object.
what should i do?

Hi,
say the tree is built from ViewObject1. In the AM model, create a second View Object instance for this. Say ViewObject2. Create the form from ViewObject2 and the tree from ViewObject1. When creating the tree, use the"Target Data Source" option at the bottom to reference the iterator of ViewObject2. Then create a PartialTrigger on the paneFormLayout that holds the synch form. In the partial trigger property, reference the tree so that when the tree selection changes, the form is updated. Then create a PartialTrigger property on the tree and point it to the submit button of the form so you can show updated values in the tree.

How to build a BIG TREE with Tree-Form layout

Hi,
I do have a self-referenced table with our org structure - 15 000 positions.
I do want to create a tree with this structure.
Requirements :
a, to have a tree-form layout
b, to have search capabilities
I have tried to use several combinations (maybe all)
- from using only one View object and create recursive tree - doesn't even run
- to use two View objects, first as top level nodes, the other as the rest - it runs
but I can search only top level, and what is worse, by clicking on the node for showing additional information (tree-form layout) I'm waiting for ages for seeing the info
(it seems that all records are loaded one by one into AS)
Could you provide some ideas how to deal with this ?

As with any functionality not directly provided by JHeadstart, you can build it yourself using the ADF design time tools in JDeveloper. Please use the JDeveloper forum for help on this first step.
Then, to keep your pages generatable you can move these customizations to custom templates. We are happy to help you with this last step, should you have problems there.

according to what I've red I should use a recursive tree (Self-Reference forign key)

I would like to create a generated menu dynamically created from values returned by sql.
Structure is as follow :

         +--------+I can't know the maximum depth of the menu.
How can I create a dynamic tree for ADF to display a tree or a hierarchical view properly without having to define a ViewLink / level ? (i.e. without hardcoding the maximum depth)
I created a simple Application Module with VO:
MenuVO
+ MenuItemVO (using VL1 between MenuItem and Menu)
      + SubMenuItemVO (using VL2 between MenuItem and MenuItem, father / child link)Using the Oracle BC Navigator to test this, I can see that a dynamic tree is available, how can I have it in a JSP page ?
Using the hierarchy viewer component it's possible, but how can I do this with an ADF Tree ?

You can easily create a recursive tree level rule on the MenuItemVO via a parent/child view link (get rid of SubMenuItemVO). Look at this example http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/adf/learnmore/32-tree-table-from-single-vo-169174.pdf
The only difference is your recursion is going to be at MenuItemVO level.

Error with Provider Hosted App on Edit Form of a list item

We have an error on the Edit Form of one of our pages.
We have developed a SharePoint Online Provider Hosted app which replaces the standard edit form of a list item and has some further events behind the save button. Since this is rather new territory for us, we're using a roundabout way of achieving this by
using a script editor web part to display an iFrame of our app. That way we can pass the Url through to our app and retrieve query strings from them.
Our issue comes quite intermittently in that we sometimes get a "web page cannot be found" error or sometimes a "resource cannot be found" error, however, when we load another app on the site (from the same app project, but using an app
part), then go back to the Edit Form, the information in the iFrame suddenly renders.
Any ideas on what might be causing this issue at all? Ideally, we should be rendering the app to the Edit Form is the proper manner, rather than scripting an iFrame that points to out app in Azure. Would this be the cause of the problem?

Hi thumper, if you have access to InfoPath, you can add the form to a page using the InfoPath web part. Otherwise, use SP Designer with instructions below:

Issues with editing in Acrobat 5 with Form and link tool

In my version of Acrobat 5, I used to be able to edit with the form and link tools. Now for example if I try to add an action in the execute menu item in the Field Properties (Form tool or Link mode), it brings up a splash window saying 'Please select the menu item you want to execute from the menu bar' and that is it, It does not bring up a list so I can not add an executable item.

Ok... so I have created a file in InDesign and exported it as a .pdf to create an interative document.
I am trying to add next page from page 1 and so on, and also hyperlinks to e-mail addresses.
I create a box by dragging using Form Tool (F) whereby Field properties window pops up.
I Name the item and choose what type of button I require, and modify the settings in Appearance.
When I then go to choose an Action... I choose mouse up, then Add... which brings up the Add an Action window.
I choose 'Execute Menu Item' from the drop down list and then try to 'Edit Menu Item' this brings up a further window 'Menu Item' with the message "Please select the menu item you want to execute from the menu bar" and here I try to choose the type of item I need to execute.
I have tried clicking on the item on the menu bar, but it makes a faint sound when I click with my mouse... but no no item is executed.
I have done this before with previous documents, but not for a while... but it does not seem to want to do it this time around.
However, I can execute the following in the same window 'Edit Menu Item'

Open File
Read Article
Reset Form
Show/Hide Field
Sound
Submit Form

Any thoughts?

Custom edit form for my Wiki Page library with only "Page Name" field included

I want to create a new custom edit form for my Wiki page library, and to only allow users to edit the Page name inside the edit form. now i created a new Edit form using SharePoint Designer , and i select the Enterprisewiki content type for it , which generates

so from the above markup the name field is not part of the edit form,, i think this is because the Name is part of the Document content type and not part of the enterprisewiki content type .. so is there a way to add the name field to the edit
form ?.
second question, the edit form will show all the content type fields such as ; standard, document type, department , title (display in search), etc so what is the best way to remove these fields from the custom edit form ?

This can only be done by adding VBScript to the form. It would basically be:

... where "P.2" would be what you named the page you want to display first.

Im constructing a tree with columns with CL_GUI_COLUMN_TREE class and I want to set one of the columns as text type and editable.
¿Do you know how? If I could do it with another class I would also be glad to try it.

Change Linked to Document with Edit Menu Column in Forms Library

Hi!
I am using a Forms Library, which I have associated with a Infopath Form, and there is that column "Name" which is linked Edit Menu... I do not want to use this column "Name" which is basically a FileName, so if I hide this "Name" column, how can I use an other column like ID (for eg) to link to document with edit menu...
I'll appreciate any advice on this... Thanks in Advance

Steve - Open the page in SP designer and in design mode hover over an item in the column a little '>' should show, click it and you can choose the options, however in SP2013 the design mode is gone so here is how it looks in the code of the page for adding
a menu to the 'ActiveSite' column, note you need to do this in every location the column is used, which may make this not workable?

I have created a created a workflow for template approval process when i edit the workflow task ,i would need to show
two drop down list
Memeber Group :Load sharepoint groups
Assigned to :Display members from selected group.

Based on your description, do you mean that you want to show two drop down lists in the workflow tasks list’s edit form?
And, do you want to display all the SharePoint Groups and all the members in the specific SharePoint Group that you select from the Group drop down list?
Per my knowledge, we can add two new Task Form Fields to display the “Assigned To” column’s value of the current task, and the Approval Task Process’s Participant Groups, however, we cannot get all the SharePoint Groups in the workflow tasks list’s edit
form using SharePoint Designer 2010.
To implement it, please follow the steps as below.
Click on the “Approval” of the action in the workflow, add two new Task Form Fields named “Assigned To Member”, “Member Group” with “Single line of text” type.
Click on “Change the behavior of a single task” in the “Customization”, add two “Set Task Field” actions in “Before a Task is Assigned” section as below:
Set Task Field ““Assigned To Member” to “Current Task: Assigned To” with “Display Name”, Set Task Field “Member Group” to “Task Process: Participant List” with “Display Names, Semicolon Delimited”.
3. Publish the workflow and test if it works in your environment.
Then, the result is shown as below:
