Issues with editing in Acrobat 5 with Form and link tool

In my version of Acrobat 5, I used to be able to edit with the form and link tools. Now for example if I try to add an action in the execute menu item in the Field Properties (Form tool or Link mode), it brings up a splash window saying 'Please select the menu item you want to execute from the menu bar' and that is it, It does not bring up a list so I can not add an executable item.

Any ideas, as it is really frustrating.

Ok... so I have created a file in InDesign and exported it as a .pdf to create an interative document.
I am trying to add next page from page 1 and so on, and also hyperlinks to e-mail addresses.
I create a box by dragging using Form Tool (F) whereby Field properties window pops up.
I Name the item and choose what type of button I require, and modify the settings in Appearance.
When I then go to choose an Action... I choose mouse up, then Add... which brings up the Add an Action window.
I choose 'Execute Menu Item' from the drop down list and then try to 'Edit Menu Item' this brings up a further window 'Menu Item' with the message "Please select the menu item you want to execute from the menu bar" and here I try to choose the type of item I need to execute.
I have tried clicking on the item on the menu bar, but it makes a faint sound when I click with my mouse... but no no item is executed.
I have done this before with previous documents, but not for a while... but it does not seem to want to do it this time around.
However, I can execute the following in the same window 'Edit Menu Item'

JavaScript
Movie
Open File
Read Article
Reset Form
Show/Hide Field
Sound
Submit Form
World Wide Web Link
Any thoughts?

Unfortunately FormCentral and Echosign are two different services and forms created in Forms central can only be submitted via and to Forms Central.
We cannot have the form filled in using FormCentral and get it signed using Echosign.
However, you can use Echosign directly and you can get most of the functionality.

"Forms" and "Links" tab in "Page Info" dialogue

In Firefox 2.x the "Page Info" dialogue has the "Forms" and "Links" tabs, but they are gone in the latest version.
It seems that this is not documented in the Release Notes.
How can these functionalities be restored ?

I have been trying to start my subscription again for my Acrobat XI Pro and for the annual subscription of the PDF Export for Word and Excel. The PDF Export expired according to my subscription list, but, I think that I had cancelled my Acrobat XI Pro of $ 29.99 monthly, so, I am wanting to presubscribe for it again, but, when I try to put my Code in for my Debit Card, it will not register with your company.
So, I do not know what to do to get it back again with my monthly and annually subscription payments for PDF Export and for Acrobat XI Pro. I have already downloaded the Adobe Reader XI onto my computer so I am set for that product. I just do not know what to do about the PDF Export and the Acrobat XI Pro to be able to get them started once again.

This call Error when I used browser Mozilla 2 and plugin adobe acrobat reader 8, but all work good, when I used adobe acrobat reader 7 and Mozilla 2.

Change Linked to Document with Edit Menu Column in Forms Library

Hi!
I am using a Forms Library, which I have associated with a Infopath Form, and there is that column "Name" which is linked Edit Menu... I do not want to use this column "Name" which is basically a FileName, so if I hide this "Name" column, how can I use an other column like ID (for eg) to link to document with edit menu...

Steve - Open the page in SP designer and in design mode hover over an item in the column a little '>' should show, click it and you can choose the options, however in SP2013 the design mode is gone so here is how it looks in the code of the page for adding
a menu to the 'ActiveSite' column, note you need to do this in every location the column is used, which may make this not workable?

Form could not be edited in Acrobat X Pro and also in Live cycle. What form It could be ?

I have come across certain pdf forms which when opened in acrobat X pro could not be edited as the edit button is disabled. Doubting it to be a XFA form I opened it in live cycle but it ask me to import the form as it was not originally created in Live cycle. What type of form it could be and which tool to use to edit it ?

Msi gs60 with 860m, i5 4200h: ec v507 and phereins tool fan control

does anybody know how I can make the fan control trick (with rweverything and phereisns tool) get to work with the actual ec v507? I didn't find any helpful post on a german site (live there) and because I heard svet is firm in gs60 fan controls I ask here for that. I read the fan control table adress had been changed with the newer ec Versions, so what can I do?

Urgent : Problem with Editable ALV Grid for Quantity and Currency Fields

Hi All,
I am using Editable ALV Grid display and have quantity and value as editable fields in the display.
When user changes these values these values are not changing properly .
For the quantity field the domain is MENG13 with 3 deciamal places and here if we enter 500 it takes it as 0.500 .
The same problem is for the currency field. Here the Domain is WERT7 with 3 decimal places.
Here also it takes last 2 digits after decimal places by default.
Please advice how to get proper values in this case from ALV editable fields.

for all the currency field , it will display like that only.
u have to manipulate uin program before displaying.
if they are giving 500, in program multiply with 100 and move it to table.
when u are getting from table, divinde and display.
this is what I am doing.

Issue with language specific characters combined with AD-Logon to BO platform and client tools

We are using SSO via Win AD to logon to BO-Launchpad. Generally this is working which means for Launch Pad no manual log on is needed. But this is not working for users which have language specific letters in their AD name (e.g. öäüéèê...).
What we have tried up to now:
If the AD-User name is Test-BÖ the log on is working with the user name Test-BO with logon type AD
If the logon Type "SAP" is used than it is possible to use the name Test-BÖ as the username
Generally it is no problem in AD to use language specific letters (which means it is possible to e.g. log on to Windows with the user Test-BÖ)
It is possible to read out the AD attributes from BO side and add them to the user. Which means in the user attributes the AD name Test-BÖ is shown via automatic import from AD. So it's not the problem that the character does not reach BO.
I have opened a ticket concerning that. SAP 1th level support is telling me that this is not a BO problem. They say it is a problem of Tomcat. I don't believe that because the log on with authentification type SAP is working.
I have set up the same combination (AD User Test-BÖ with SAP User Test-BÖ) as a single sign on authentification in SAP BW and there it is working without problems.
Which leads me to the conlusion: It is not a problem of AD. It is something which is connected to the BO platform but only combined with logon type AD because SAP Logon is working with language specific characters.

I have found this article with BO support:
You cannot add a user name or an object name that only differs by a character with a diacritic mark
Basically this means AD stores the country specific letters as a base letter internally. Which means that if you have created a user with a country specific letter in the name you can also logon with the Base letter to Windows.
SAP-GUI and Windows are maybe replacing the country specific letters by the base letter. Due to that SSO is working. BO seems not to be able to do that. Up to now the supporter from BO is telling me that this is not a BO problem.
Seems to be magic that the colleagues of SAP-GUI are able to to it.

Alert window on opening a form with dup. program unit in form and PLL

Can anyone help here? I'm upgrading a large system from forms 4.5 to forms 6i (yes, we're behind). I use an attached library for about two dozen procedures. In some cases, some of the procedures have been overriden in the Form. When I open the form in the forms designer, I get the alert message: "A Program Unit XXXXX already exists. Continue creation?"
This happens where the program unit in the library was overriden in the form. I presume since the form program unit will be found first at execution time that this message is nothing to worry about. Indeed, I have had no failures related to this yet.
Can anyone verify that this is the normal functioning of Forms 6i? Or is there a way to turn this off?

Need help with Apex 4.0 tabular form and searchable select list

I would like to use an exisiting plugin for a searchable combo box on a tabular form. When I define the item types on my tabular form I don't see the plugin as an option. I reviewed the help documentation for the apex_item api for the tabular form but I didn't see how I could reference the plugin. Has anyone done this or have other ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I noticed this problem in the first beta version but I thought this is so obvious and it will be corrected so I didn't follow on it further. This looks like a bug in 4.0. If I use firebug, I will see that the selected value is still RESEARCH allthough the display changes - <option selected="selected" value="20">RESEARCH</option> If I click on SAVE than wrong values will be changed.

Problem with editing the size of artboard and objects in illustrator!

I was using a custom size of artboard in illustrator, but I now I want to change it to A4 size for printing. However, when I change it to a A4 size artboard, the size of objects on that artboard remain unchange. As a result these objects do not fit the new size of artboard. Are there any way that I can change both the size of artboard and objects at once? Thank you!

Probably not. Don't suppose you have a proportion scale handy? Alright, don't worry about it. Give me the size of your original ( in inches ) and the size of A4 ( in inches ), I can give you the scale percentage ( you input into the scale dialog box ). Whatever you do, keep your original file and do the enlargement on a "copy" of the original. You already have the new artboard, not it is just a simple matter of enlarging the artwork to fit the new size.

Issues between SharePoint 2010 == Acrobat X Pro and autosave

Seeing two issues with Acrobat X Pro in an enterprise environment that also uses SharePoint 2010 heavily.

Crashing Acrobat X Pro not autosaving correctly when dealing with partially remote user profiles. These are user profiles that are local (not roaming profiles), but are forced via registry to consider the Documents location to be a network location (accessible via CIFS). I noticed when helping a user that has lost work that the temporary autosave files are still local, and there did not seem to be a recovered document via Acrobat for this SharePoint-loaded PDF file. The user had this file checked out and had done a few hours of work when the crash happened. Any recommendation on:
- reporting this to an Acrobat engineer, particularly the team working with SharePoint integration via the dll Acrobat uses to accomplish that
- settings to tweak to ENSURE that crashes will leave recoverable autosaves when working in Acrobat directly on SharePoint 2010 PDF files

The following error is produced in Acrobat when trying to click version history documents in SharePoint 2010. "The URL you have provided could not be reached. Please verify that the URL is correct and that the network location is reachable." The revision of the document is reachable, but through typical HTTP via a web browser...but not through the SharePoint <==> Acrobat X Pro COM object magic that works fine for currently checked out documents. Please see inserted image. Thoughts on a fix?

update for anyone interested--
#1, broken autosave functionality for acrobat documents controlled by SharePoint (i.e. checked out from SharePoint and then worked on), I have duplicated this for Adobe. They have confirmed this is a bug, and have assigned it bug number 3328962. This bug means that your autosaving settings for Acrobat documents in SharePoint will not do anything-- so crashes of Acrobat, your computer, etc. while you are working on an Adobe Acrobat document you checked out from SharePoint will leave you in the state of your last manual save (with the SharePoint server).
