Syncronizing my e-mail contacts with my blackberry

Hi, everyone.
As my username says, I'm totaly lost trying to get more from my blackberry.
I have a Pearl 8130 for about a year and my yahoo account is syncronized to it.
However, I never was able to syncronize my contacts from my e-mail account to my phone.
Does anyone knows if it is possible and if it is how do I do it?
Thanks a lot
Franciele

Normally if email does not exist people rename apple id. If you did, and before hand didn't sign out of the phone is setting - icloud that is a bit of a problem.
Can be fixed by changing apple id back and without verification you will have three min or so to sign out of the phone. Password does exist it is your current password.

How do I sync with windows mail contacts with my iPhone 4S?  I want to move my email contact information from Windows Mail to my iPhone 4S

You don't need Outlook to sync contacts. You do have Windows Contacts available which is a supported address book application for syncing contacts with the iPhone.
Windows Live Mail is not an email client. Windows Live Mail is an email account that can be accessed via webmail access using a browser or with an email client such as with Outlook or Windows Mail on a PC.
You can export your Windows Live Mail contacts from your Windows Live Mail online address book for import into the Windows Contacts address book application on your PC which is supported for syncing contacts with your iPhone.

  • I cannot synchronize my contacts with my Blackberry with iCloud

Since the move from Mobileme to Icloud I cannot synchronize my contacts with my Blackberry using desktop software from Rim. Has anyone an idea on how to do it ?

With the move to iCloud your contacts live on the iCloud server - you will see them listed under 'iCloud' rather than 'On My Mac'.
Blackberry cannot access the iCloud server: it can only sync with contacts held under 'On My Mac'. Therefore you have two options: leave things as they are and sync with iCloud but not Blackberry: or move your contacts back to 'On My Mac' and sync with Blackberry not iCloud.
(Or I suppose you could maintain the contacts list on both, giving your duplicates on your Mac, and any changed or additions would have to be entered twice).
To move your contacts, select them all, then from the File Menu choose Export>vCard. Set the default contacts list to 'On My Mac' in Preferences and import the vCard. You can then delete the iCloud contacts list (or just turn off iCloud syncing for contacts).
A similar situation applies with calendars.

  • Synch the contacts with the Blackberry 8300

    Hi Team,
we have a issue with one of our customer stating that,"he is not able to synch the contacts with the BB.Emails are working perfect.BB model is 8300.I checked for the wireless synch options in the address book to change that to yes.
But he says he dint find any.
We activate the passwords using BES and Enterprise activation has been done properly.
We tried with Switching off the device, removing the battery and placed it back. But in vain.
Please let me know how to synch the contacts now..?
Is that wireless synch option is avilable at any other options in main menu..?
    Thanks for your help!!

    Hello,
    if you go to :
options-> Advanced options -> Enterprise activation
Does it say Activated or does it jump to Activiting or a %?
I have a feeling you may find the device is NOT activated as the contacts are usualy sync'ed last (90/91% - 99%).
Next, check his Outlook Contacts. Are they on the Exchange server or in a PST file on his pc/file server?
PST files cannot be configured through the BES. He will have to use the Desktop Manager (as a BIS option) so sync any Local PST file contacts to the BB.
He will have to do this regularly  to update any contacts he has. Several companies use this as a method due to a lack of usable contacts in Lotus..... (I dont have Lotus so I cant check this usability situation...)
Further info would be great... Thanks.

  • Differentiating MAIL contacts with ADDRESSBOOK contacts?? Is it possible?

I just mean that it's frustrating not to be able to put in the first few letters of the person I want to email (as I am able to do in Mail on my mac) unless I have the contact fully loaded into the phone which means it appears in my phone contacts when I want to make a call.
I know this goes against the very nature of 'contacts,' but is there a way of simply loading all the email addresses into mail? I doubt it but I'm interested to see how others have dealt with the problem.
Apologies if I haven't explained myself very well; if you need clarification just let me know..
    James

Remember, you can organize your Phone contacts into groups. Perhaps doing that would allow you to choose whether to see all your contacts or just the ones you wish to call...
I divided my contacts into Work, Family, etc... And then also added my "most called" numbers to my Favorites list.
Then it's a simple matter of either picking a group, or clicking Favorites to see just those you want to call at that time.
Perhaps make a group called Email Only - and include in that group all the contacts you have with only email addresses...

  • PIN Contact with New Blackberry

    Hi All,
I have succed to restore all data from prev BB-8520 with OS 5.o to BB-9300 with OS-6.0. Thanks for  the support.
Then other question, how about the invited PIN contact from friends? They are all shown in New BB but no respond.
I believe my PIN has not registered at all friend's BB because my BB PIN is completly different.
Should I re-invited them one by one through my previous BB?
Or automaticcaly new BB will send data to request for confirmation?
    Thank you for your advice

I don't know how you transfered your data from the old device to the new, but the change of device should update your friends' BlackBerry Messenger as it syncs. However there can always be a glitch and if you need, go ahead and re-invite those friends who are not updated automatically.

  • Delivery failures when sending to mail contacts in O365

We are in the middle of a migration from Domino to Exchange (O365) and have updated the GAL with entries from our local active directory.  These entries include email addresses using only a few of the domains that are hosted by our Domino
    environment - but not all.
People who have been migrated to Exchange receive delivery failures when replying to an email from someone who is still in Domino.
    Example:
User Bob who has been migrated to O365 gets an email from User Ann who is still in Domino.   When User Bob does a reply, User Ann's address populates with
User_Ann AT MAINDOMINODOMAIN dot com  (Please note - the @ signe was substitued with AT and the .com was substitued with dot com) because I got an error when trying to submit this. Error - Body text cannot contain images or links until we are bable
    to verify your account.)
User Ann is defined in the O365 GAL as a mail contact with these email addresses:
    User_Ann AT dominodomain1 dot com
    User_Ann AT dominodomain2 dot com
    User_Ann AT dominodomain3 dot com
User Bob gets a delivery failure.
    Why?

    Hi,
In order to resolve the problem more efficiently, I recommend you ask your question in the Exchange Online (Office 365) Forum. You might get a better answer in the Office 365 forum.

  • Exchange 2010 - Mail contacts - Set as Reply property

As mail contacts will probably use an external and unknown server to send replies for their mail. I don't understand the purpose of this property for mail contacts ?
Is it only here because one console developer have missed to gray it out or is there a real utility ?
Thank you for that clarification !

    Hello,
Based on your description, I understand that you create mail-contact with two e-mail address:[email protected] and
[email protected] (set as external address). You want to understand that if the mail-contact reply to these mail from his private mail system, the sender mail will be
    [email protected] and not
    [email protected]
If so, I consider when the mail-contact reply to these mail from his private mail system, the sender is
    [email protected]
Based on my experience, you can set any SMTP address as external address, but the address must be resolved.

    Hi Laurie,
I did a search just now and I have a thread for you to try. I hate to go backwards but your situation was resolved by installing a different (older) version the Desktop Software from Blackberry. I have Outlook 2003 and XPpro so I know it works.
Read this and see if it makes sense. I can help you with it if you would like.
    Just let me know.

  • Synchrinising my email contacts on my blackberry

I cannot seem to start synchronisation of my email contacts with my blackberry curve , when I put my password in its saying your device encountered a problem with this applications server

From your description, that would be your email account credentials at which point the failure occurs. This KB might be useful:
KB31736 "Your device encountered a problem with this application's server" appears when attempting a wireless activation using Gmail
Unfortunately, it's rather sparse in it's information. Consequently, you should try other means to integrate this particular email account.
You can try, from a PC/Browser, your carriers (vodafone) BIS website (if they have one)...here is a partial list:
    http://www.blackberryfaq.com/index.php/Where_can_I_log_into_my_BIS_account%3F
If your carrier is not listed, you may need to ask them for the url to use.
You can try, from your BB Browser, this link:
    www.blackberry.com/integrate
Sometimes, that works when other means fail.
Lastly, you can contact vodafone and ask them to configure the email account for you...IMHO that's always a risky venture as it requires you to reveal to the agent your email account credentials, but sometimes they can succeed in configuring the email account into BIS where the end user cannot.
Good luck and let us know!

  • Full Mail, Contact, Calendar synchronization with multiple devices, Possible?

Looking for the best solution to keep my Mail, Contacts and Calendars in Sync.
    Hardware
    iMac, PC, MacBook, iPhone, iPad
    Software
    Lion, Hosted Exchange, IOS, iCloud
I want to use Mac and my office requires a PC, whats the best way to stay in sync. Ive been partially successful at trying to sync my Hosted Exchange account with Mail, Contacts and iCal but it seems inconsistant.
Can someone help me with the proper setting to get this to work?
    OR
Do I need to load Outlook on my Mac and IOS devises?
    OR
    Is there another option?
I have searched the forums and havent found a good solution detailed. Hope to correct that here.
    Thank you for your replies.

I do this currently. If you look at my profile, you'll see my equipment. I also have a PC at work I use part time (for accounting only) set up as well.
On the iPad and iPhone, set up your iCloud by going to Settings -> iCloud and entering your username and password. Choose to sync all.
Set up your Hosted Exchange by going to Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Add Account... Choose Exchange as the option and enter the info.
For iCloud on the Mac, click the Apple icon -> System Preferences -> iCloud. Then sign in.
For Exchange on the Mac, click the Apple icon -> System Preferences -> Mail, Contacts, & Calendars -> Microsoft Exchange and enter the info.
For iCloud on the PC, you must be running Outlook 2007 or 2010 and have downloaded the iCloud Control Panel. Sign in and choose to sync with Outlook.
For Exchange on the PC, use Outlook. Add the account...

  • Error enabling "Mail, Contacts, Calendars, and Tasks with Outlook" in iCloud 3.0  Control Panel

Unable to enable option “Mail, Contacts, Calendars, and Tasks with Outlook” under iCloud 3.0  Control Panel.
Get following error when clicking checkbox to enable it under iCloud 3.0 Control Panel.
"Setup can't continue because Outlook isn't configured to have a default profile. Check your Outlook settings and try again."
    Have tried the following:
Uninstalled / reinstalled iCloud 3.0 control panel
Removed all mail accounts from Outlook 2013 except MS account
Confirmed Outlook was chosen for  “Always uses this profile” under Control Panel – Mail (MicroSoft Outlook 2013) – show profiles
Still get the same error when trying to enable the option under iCloud 3.0 Control Panel
PC is running Windows 8.1 (64 bit)
Outlook 2013 was just installed on the PC as part of new Office 2013 installation

    Two more things:
First, sorry for the bad spelling, grammar, and all of that. English isn't my first language and I'm so frustrated at this point I'm not paying any attention to it. Sorry!
Second, after trying to repair again the icloud 3.0 through the Control Panel of Windows, guess what? It made Offce to crash again! Now I will have to install it again.

  • Can't figure out syncing contacts with Windows 7 mail

I've only been using Windows 7 for about a month and can't figure out why the contacts from my iPhone won't sync to the Windows Live mail of Windows 7. I want my phone contacts to override my mail contacts, not the other way around.
In the INFO tab of the iPhone sync section I have the box checked to sync contacts. It gives me three choices: Google Contacts, Yahoo Contacts, Windows Contacts. I have Windows Contacts selected.
If anyone can help me sync my phone contacts down to the Windows mail contacts it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much for trying to help but unfortunately I'm even more lost. I followed those instructions but to no avail. I can't begin to figure out why a simple thing like syncing my iPhone contacts down to Windows Live mail is such a big ordeal.
There are a ton of my contacts showing up in the contact list of my mail but it's not even close to being the most updated list. I honestly don't know where Windows Live got them from but there's just a whole weird mix of people, many of which aren't even my contacts but just email addresses of strangers that I may have dealt with one time in the past. The whole **** thing is a mess and I don't know where to go from here.

  • HT3748 since upgrading to Mountain Lion, my Mac Mail no longer works well w/exchange email; so, I have had to switch back to outlook. Now, how can I use outlook for mac's calendar and contacts with icloud?

Since uprgading to Mountain Lion, my mac mail no longer works with my exchange email properly. I finally gave up and moved back to outlook for mac, but now my new issue is using outlook calendar and contacts with icloud; possible?

Sorry but I'm really not to sure what I have. I'm not good with knowing my computer model. All I know is that its a MacBook running with Leopard. I got my computer last year so I suppose its fairly new. Is there a place on my computer where I can check to see what it is (sorry to be so dumb with my own mac)
And everything else works fine. I love Safari. It's just my mail that doesn't work. Here's the message that pop up several times.
"The MobileMe IMAP server “mail.mac.com” rejected the password for user “akcastaldo”
Please re-enter your password, or cancel."
The only problem here is, even though I enter my password it doesn't do anything. It makes that message go away for about 3-5 mins. After that it pops right back up. And I can't even go into my preference and change my email password. So I don't know what to do.
