Syntax error: bad digit in number

I made a panel for ID cs5, the panel and buttons work fine.
But in the panel is one button with a script, if i click this button i get an syntax error, bad digit in number.
The script works fine on its own but not from the panel.
Any help is very much appreciated
thnx
Harald

Try to check this:
1) the  script you insert in the button must not contain  any kind of  comment ( //  or /* */    ) ( configurator doesn'accept any comment inside the button)
2) each statement is separated by  a semicolon  ( ; )
the syntax must be perfect
Anyway if you have difficult to find the problem you can link the button to the
Yourscript .jsx  file

    Hello,
    Like syntax for this is the same as SQL Like, see
    the following documentation and note the percent symbol. Also remove the ( and ) in the string.

  • Feature Request: Line Number on Syntax Error

    Hi,
    When I execute a query in the query window and there is a syntax error, I don't get the line number of where the error is as I normally do in SQLPlus. Is this this something that can be added to the error message?
    thanks
    -Niels

    Alternatively, if you feed the SQL into a procedure (or anon block) something like below, this will give you the exact character position of the failure.
    I've previously used this in a java/jdbc web-based ad-hoc query solution to good effect, and so blaming java/jdbc is not really valid.......
    CREATE OR REPLACE
    PROCEDURE parse
    (sqlstr IN VARCHAR2)
    IS
    cur BINARY_INTEGER := DBMS_SQL.OPEN_CURSOR;
    errpos BINARY_INTEGER;
    fdbk BINARY_INTEGER;
    BEGIN
    DBMS_SQL.PARSE (cur, sqlstr, DBMS_SQL.NATIVE);
    DBMS_SQL.CLOSE_CURSOR (cur);
    EXCEPTION
    WHEN OTHERS
    THEN
    errpos := DBMS_SQL.LAST_ERROR_POSITION;
    DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE (SQLERRM || ' at pos ' || errpos);
    DBMS_SQL.CLOSE_CURSOR (cur);

  • Crystal Reports 2008 Viewer Syntax error number: -2146827286

    I have CrystalReportViewer12 installed on Apache/Tomcat 6. I have configured all components as necessary: installed jars and setup web.xml/CRConfig.xml. I can get the report to display appropriately in my jsp page. But when I try to use the Go To Next Page button I receive the following error:
    name: SyntaxError
    message: Syntax error
    number: -2146827286
    description: Syntax error
    Any assistance will be appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Translating the error message on bablefish I get:
    Mistake with the store of the data bank information. Mistake in the file Report {C6512421-348A-4621-B1ED-895D28646A0A} .rpt
    Which I'm sure is not 100% accurate, but it gives a good hint. As well, because of this:
    "Do I need to install an additional / diffrent runtime than 2008 Runtime"
    I wonder how you installed the CR 12 runtime on that computer? For more info on CR runtimes, see [this|https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/BOBJ/CrystalReportsforVisualStudio.NETRuntimeDistribution-Versions9.1to12.0] wiki.
    If my suggestion above does not help, make sure the Win\temp directory can be accessed buy the application. Crystal Reports runtime needs to write and read files from the temp directory.

  • Crystal Reports Server 2008 - CMC Login Error - Bad Port Number in CMS Name

    This post is similar to previous post: Error: Bad port number in CMS name fe80:0:0:0:152f:77a:382d:6d8e:6400 null - which remains unanswered.
    In this case, I have installed a full licensed version of CRS 2008 on Windows Server 2008. I'm using Tomcat 5.5 and IIS 7.0.
    The error we get when trying to log into the server using SERVERNAME:6400 (the default), is:
    u2022Error: Bad port number in CMS name fe80:0:0:0:6509:bde9:93bf:f9de:6400 null
    We neglected to install IIS prior to installing CRS, so when we realized our error, we installed IIS and then uninstalled/reinstalled CRS 2008.
    Prior to reinstalling CRS, the CMC allowed us to login with no problem, which leads me to suspect that CRS may not have uninstalled cleanly.
    Can anyone help me to understand what causes this error, and what steps can be taken to resolve it?

    Hi,
    Try to check the port number 6400 is assigned properly to CMS. Please make sure that its not assigned to any other Products.
    Thanks,
    SK.

  • What is this error java.sql.SQLException: Bad format for number ?

    Dear All,
    I am reading few values from database. Then I get this error "MyError:Error : java.sql.SQLException: Bad format for number 'Sarawak' in column 6. " So what is this error referring to. I have checked the database column and its value fits according the data type. Any hints please?

    I have checked the database column and its value fits according the data type.Check again. Then check again. Keep checking until you find your error. You are trying to read a string containing "Sarawak" as a number. You have "getInt(6)" or other numeric type, and the 6th column in the select statement is not numeric.

    I Have the same issue on a brand new iPad mini 2. My battery is only lasting up to 5 hours. I went on chat with Apple last night and they said my battery is fine and its a Safari issue. I'm literally losing 1% every 3-4 minutes. I tried recalibrating my battery, signing out of iCloud, shutting off all locations, turning off background app refresh, restoring network settings, restoring all, and finally restoring from iTunes with no luck. This is just awful. I got this iPad so I could use it on my long flight for a trip I have coming up, and unfortunately, it's not going to last that long, plus I'm concerned about how many times i will be recharging my battery because of this since battery's do have a life cycle dependent on the number of charges. This is frustrating and needs to be fixed ASAP and addressed by Apple.
    By the way, Apple told me to bring my device to the Apple Store because it's still under warranty. That's great and all, but I'm going to waste my time if there is no fix for this issue.
    Ok so you want Apple to address the problem, but yet you don't want to take it to them just in case they can't fix it? What if they can fix it? Complaining here certainly won't fix it.

  • Error Invalid Number. Please re-send using a valid 10 digit mobile number or valid short code

    Hey, so my friend got a Galaxy s6 edge yesterday and gave me his new number. When I tried texting it I received this immediately after:
    Error Invalid Number. Please re-send using a valid 10 digit mobile number or valid short code. Hey
    I can receive messages from this number as well as calls. I've become aggravated and am not sure what to do. Please help, thanks!

    Hi there
    I’d be happy to help with this messaging error! This will be due to the device storing the number incorrectly. Please do the following to resolve the issue:
    Delete texts from both old number and new
    Delete any call logs including these numbers
    Delete old number from contacts
    Delete new number from contacts
    Restart device
    Send text to the new number directly (do not save as contact)
    Once the text sends successfully, you can then save as a new contact
    I hope this helps!

  • At&t +1 (1) (216)116-11 error invalid number please resend using 10 digit mobile number

    tried all the method proposed for former similar questions. None works. Even more confused about whether it is the problem of AT&T or apple or both? How can I solve it. It's really annoying!

    Are you in the US? If you are in the US, you don't need to call or text the full number unless it is a toll free number.
    You can just use the 10 digit number XXX-XXX-XXXX
    It seems the number is invalid so AT&T respond back saying that "at&t +1 (1) (216)116-11 error invalid number please resend using 10 digit mobile number"
    If you are using the right number and you know for sure it is a working number, try delete the number in question that you try to text to like call history or text history of that number and just delete it. Do not delete the number in your contacts though. Delete history pertaining to it in calls and text.
    Then try it again to text to the number.

    I am not able to send text messages to one particular person.  Error comes back to enter a valid 10-digit phone number or short code.  I have deleted this contact and re-entered numerous times and still get the same error code.  Any ideas?

    Are you entering a 10 digit number? Or, if it is not a North American number or you are not in North America, are you entering "+" followed by the country code and number?
