i want to use the method AT_OUTPUT_SCREEN of BADI: WORKORDER_INFOSYSTEM
I want to get the fieldcattable: MT_FIELDCAT_LOCAL.
This method has the parameter: I_ALV_GRID (type ref. to)
I try this code, but i get syntax-error.

when i debug the method in debugger i can see the table with this field:

Hi,
we use the BADI: WORKORDER_INFOSYSTEM with method: AT_OUTPUT_SCREEN for
changing print layout.
Now we want to use this badi to change the value of the output.
Normaly the materialtext in show in german.
But if the user has as special parameter.id set to EN we want to change
the output (materialtext) to english.
Is there any mehod in this BADI to change the value of the outputtable?

Problem in BADI, error message not getting displayed

Hello Experts,
I am facing a strange problem in BADI.
The requirement is that the user should not be allowed to change the plant field
on the screen of standard MM transctions for PO/PR amendment.
I have written the code in separate BADIs for PO and PR.
I am displaying an error message if the user tries to change the field.
For PO, it is working fine.But for PR, the same code is not working.
The control is going over to the BADI for PR and rest of the code is working fine.
But the error message is not getting displayed for PR amendment.
Can anybody please suggest the possible cause of problem and some solution to it.

Problem with BADI BADI_HU_DIALOG.

I want to display some customer fields in the screen 'Addit. Data' in the Handling Units (transaction vl02n/vl03n).
Therefore I use the BADI 'BADI_HU_DIALOG', method DEFINITION_SUBSCREEN.
I need the subscreen in the details, so I use the flag 'IF_DETAIL'. Next I wait the tcode 'DETZUS' (Additional data).

is there any possibility to add my subscreen to the standard?
Second problem:
I can't transfer the data of CS_VEKP to my subscreen to display or change them.
What can I do?

Hi Ravi,
You can transfer the standard SRM catalog ID field to R/3 tracking number field (if not already used for another purpose) in the R/3 PO.
This will avoid to implement the R/3 inbound bapi.
Here is an extract of the code.
The ECS PO badi example was here used to transfer the unlimited delivery flag to R/3 PO for a Z combination of criteria as well as the transfer of catalog ID to tracking number field in R/3 PO :

Syntax error caused by duplicate methods in class.

We've applied service patches to CRM 7 and afterwards I found that there were two versions of a method in a class. There was the original (shown in blue) which should point to the superclass, but does not and point to the ZL.... class. Then there's the second copy of the method, shown in black, which is the Redefined method. But, I have never seen both in existance at the same time when view via se24 or the component workbench.
This is what I have tried:
Redefined the method (shown in blue). But then I have two methods of the same name (SET_COUNTRY) both shown in black. If I reverse the redefiniation it does successfully remove one of the redefintions, so I'm back to the state that started with, having the origianl superclass method and its redefiinition present.
This problem is in out QAS environment. I corrected this issue in DEV by deleting the Redefined method. However, the transport created fails when moved into QAS and gives a syntax error saying that duplicate methods exist, or is called twice. Which happens to be the problem that the transport should fix.
Can anyone suggest anything to try and fix this?.
As a last resort I opened our QAS envirnment for changes and within SE24 choose the option Utilities/Check.... But this did not resolved anything as all the sub-options said that everything was okay.
Desperate now, the ledge of this window is not very wide but it's starting to look appealing, even though the building is only one storey high.

My sanity is restored. No matter what I tried I could not get a transport through to correct this issue. In the end I had to open up QAS for changes and delete the redefined method from ZL... class by commenting out the call statement, and then answer yes to the question 'Do you want to delete the method?'. After this I re-activated all and the WebUI now works okay.
The trouble is I'll need to repeat this process in production after the upgrade.
When the problem was fixed in DEV a transport was created, but this just gave an error 8 when imported into QAS. The message given was exactly the problem that it was trying to fix.

Dreamweaver silently detects syntax problem

I have a .cfm file which I've been maintaining for a few years. Recently while editing the file in DW6, DW began to fail to recognize that the file is a Cold Fusion file. Common keyboard shortcuts, both general and CF-specific just won't function. Menu items under "Insert...ColdFusion Objects" are all disabled.
After 90 minutes of progressively removing a few lines of code, saving and closing, then reopening the file, I tracked the problem down to the presence of 1 line of ColdFusion code.
I happened to see at the bottom of the edit window (in the part of the status bar which shows CF code nesting) that <cfinvoke> was listed, where there was none in the file I was having trouble with. It turns out the line of "bad" code was a <cfinclude>, and the file it referenced had a <cfinvoke> without a closing </cfinvoke>
The reason for this long post under Dreamweaver, is that DW was clearly detecting a syntax problem, but instead of identifying the problem, it just stopped functioning normally, and acted in a truely weird way.
I do NOT have "Enable Related Files" active. For DW to wanter out into other files and gag on a syntax error, then not to report the problem, was totally unexpected.
I consider the primary "bug" to be in failing to report the syntax error. Secondarily, syntax checking in related files should probably be controlled by the "related files" preference option.
This is DW CS6, v 12.1, build 5949.

Badi BBP_SC_TRANSFER_BE, method GROUP_PO

Hi All,
We are on SRM 5.0 SP07.
I want to add an additional grouping criteria for grouping backend PO's- Shopping cart Line item currency.
In addition to the standard grouping (which is as per the PO header fields like vendor, purchase org, purchase group, company code etc.), I want to add line item currency as one more grouping criteria.
Can someone suggest how I can do it using BADI BBP_SC_TRANSFER_BE, method GROUP_PO?
Sample code might be very useful.

You are probably using an implementation of DOM which does not implement DOM level-3.

Some syntax problems (I guess)

Hi, I'm having problem with the first constructor in this simplified example code... I want to create a "default" Comparator. I'm not quite sure how to do this.
public class MyClass<E> {

 public Myclass(Comparator<E> comp) {
 this.comp = comp;
 private class ComparableComparatorBridge<E extends Comparable> implements Comparator<E> {
 public int compare(E o1, E o2) {
 return ((Comparable)o1).compareTo(o2);
}

Event if you fix the syntax problems, following the advice of the other posters, you'll have a semantic problem:
MyClass<E> is parameterized with an unbounded type parameter.
You cannot assume that E implements Comparable<E>.
What you'd really need is a parameterizd constructor like this (won't compile):public <C extends E & Comparable<E>> MyClass() {
this(new ComparableComparatorBridge<C>());
}Unfortunately, this isn't valid Java. I see two possibilities:
1. Derive from MyClass and introduce the additional bound on the type parameter of the subclass. Then you can create a default-constructor using the ComparableComparatorBridge in that subclass.
2. Add a static factory function to MyClass, like this:

 private final Comparator<E> comp;
 public MyClass(Comparator<E> comp) {

Problem with the renameTO method in the Linux environment

I got a problem with the renameTO method in the Linux environment. The file is not moving.
This method is returning false. the same code executed successfully in Windows environment.
Can anyone give some fix to this one or an alternate solution to move the files in both windows and Linux.

I suspect you are trying to rename a file so that it actually has to be moved to a different volume (partition or hard disk) so it won't work. One would have the same problem on Windows trying to rename a file on the c: drive to a name on the d: drive.

You can't store methods in an array, if that's what you're asking. What you can do is store objects which implement an interface telling you they have a method of a given name.
If you're wondering about returning arrays, the syntax is e.g. public int[] myMethod(){ ... }.
